love it here! definitely puts marcettis to shame, especially with the bad experiences i've had with food there lately. Such a cute little restaurant with incredible home cooked italian food! generous, and i mean generous portions! the pasta e fagioli is a must! the shrimp cocktails are ginormous! and if you are a mushroom lover, you'll truly enjoy their mama Teresa chicken special! loaded with sauteed mushrooms and spinach! love going there on Wednesdays to see, Tribeca! Their pizzas are also delish! so crispy, just how i like it! servers are also fantastic! If your lucky, you'll get to hear Amedeo sing, he has an incredible voice. Easily became a regular here!

Outstanding food and a great value for the money. I have been eating there almost once a week since discovering the place about nine months ago and have NEVER been disappointed. We have also turned many others onto this exceptional value!

The food tastes good, but I immediately got sick after eating it. The service was just awful. There were a bunch of guidos that just ran around looking at the women instead of taking our order or getting drinks. Took waaay too long to get our food. Besides, everyone in the area really knows why this place exists...

I'm the type that will find something I like at a restaurant and stick with it. My first time here i ordered the parm fries and fried ravioli. The fries were a nice twist on traditional, and the fried ravioli were the best I've ever had in my life. It wasn't the typical bite of fried breadcrumbs. It was instant filling from start to finish. I was encouraged to give some new items a try and moved on to the italian nachos and scrod florentine. Let me tell you, hands down, best food decision I've ever made. Not to mention the grilled pizzas are fantastic from plain cheese to steak florentine. What makes me come back so often is the service. Amedeo, Vinny, Joe, Emilio and the rest of the staff are incredible. Every time I walk in the door, I feel like I'm at Cheers. They will never forget a face. This is one of RI's finest establishments

Hubby and I went in to grab a quick drink while waiting for a table "across the street." While waiting we previewed a menu, and I must add, the delectable scent made us order an app. It was love at first taste. The balsamic glaze on the bruschetta will absolutely blow your mind. We also ordered fries parmigiana, and holy smokes, watch out for those--- they are unbelievable tasty. I had the chicken Marsala and my husband had shrimp ravioli with pink vodka sauce. We couldn't complain about a single thing if we tried. I cannot forget to give a nod to the attentive and courteous service. Our waiter was exceeding expectations as it was, and the owner personally checked on tables multiple times, our table included. If you're in the Cranston area, Amadeos is an absolute "must try." After our experience tonight we are sold!!!

Great Drinks, Great Service, Great food, what more do you need to hear to go and try it? Owner Amedeo ,great guy, very friendly and really puts the effort into his business, his mother does all the from scratch cooking in the back who's food is out of this world, went last night and went by owner recommendation on the chicken parm in pink sauce pizza...Unbelievable, only thing that stopped me from polishing off the whole thing was the thought of cold pizza in the morning! Calamari is always excellent nice and crispy not a single spot of oil on it. Homemade desserts are also a great way to end a great night, I hear they do live music and karaoke which can make it an even better experience. Try them out any night of the week it's always great. Make the trip to amedeos your next night out

Great Italian food at reasonable prices. Italian nachos, chicken parm and pasta dishes all have that homemade taste. Italian grinders and steak sandwiches are huge and over stuffed. I would have given 5 stars if they had draft beer.

Always have a good time when we go to Amedeo's. Drinks are big and are a good price. We have not eaten a meal here yet but its on our to do list.

I want to start out by saying this place is fantastic, from the food to the service. You can't beat the quality and the prices of the food. My only complaint is the tables are not big enough for the dishes! Lol the serving sizes are ridiculous. Amedeo and his staff makes you feel like family when you walk in. I highly recommend this place, I promise you will not be disappointed!!!!

Outstanding, real, homemade, Italian food. Excellent service and huge portion sizes. Other Italian restaurants can not even compare to Amedeo's. I highly recommend you check this place out if you want to know what real Italian food tastes like.

I was very surprised at how good the food was. It's not a large place and I had not really noticed it before but I ended up here because of the wait at Marchettis. Decent drink menu, small-ish food menu but the portions are huge and everything was delicious. The bruschetta and Italian nachos were great. The pasta gravy was excellent also. The service was wonderful. 2 waiters instead of just one meant we never had to wait for anything. I'll definitely be back.

Cute little place! Would've gave 5 stars but it is quite literally a cute LITTLE Place! Other than that it was great! Much more homey feel than marchettis if you ask me and the portions are just as generous without breaking the bank! Both my friend and I got chicken parmigiana. I got the pink vodka sauce he got marinara and the chicken was huge! I had enough leftover for lunch the next day! Overall a great experience staff was very attentive and kind!

I got a caesars salad and thought it was excellent. Good quantity. Service was excellent even though it was busy. I'd go back and give it another try.

I must admit, the only reason my family and I opted to try this restaurant is because Marchetti's was packed on a Saturday night and we could not find parking. Conveniently, Amedeo is located just across the street from Marchetti's and really proved to be a pleasant surprise. I did not know what to expect or even what type of food they served. The restaurant is small but nicely decorated. You can tell it is newly renovated and possibly the owner's first restaurant. The menu was pretty small, but the prices were VERY reasonable. They serve mostly Italian fare. We ordered Calamari for an appetizer, on the menu they only had buffalo style calamari listed but our waiter (and I'm thinking he may have been the owner as well) said they would prepare it any way we wanted. We opted for the traditional Mediterranean style, with pepper rings. It was very fresh and we ate every bite. My mother and I ordered the chicken parmesan and my father ordered the veal parmesan. When the food was brought to our table I was amazed by the portion size, definitely up to par with what I would have gotten across the street, without the wait, and dare I say I liked Amedeo's marinara sauce more?! The bar tender also opted to make my father a key lime pie martini, even though it was not on the menu, and my father said it was very good. This restaurant has potential, you can tell they value the customers input, and are more than willing to make you whatever you ask for within reason. It was pretty dead for a Saturday night so I urge more people to give Amedeo a try and yelp your experience! Oh, and they also do karaoke on Wednesday nights!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
