Pizza Wave Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. Most pizzas at Pizza Hut are high in sodium and hence you must stick to one or max. two slices of any regular size pizza to limit your sodium intake. Try out the salads as they are not only healthy but also keeps you full for a longer period. However, you must ensure that you don't order the salads without any extra dressing.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Blood Pressure

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. Ordered a clam chowder and a turkey cobbler sandwich. The turkey was hard and onions not even chopped. Stuffing was not edible. Chowder supposed homemade it a definitely not edible. Taste horrible could not eat anything had to call for a refund.

The first time I went to Pizza Wave was for takeout. The waitress standing at the door did not greet us and was EXTREMELY rude when I asked her where the pick-up counter was located. She acted as though it was the most annoying question she had ever heard. The second time I went to Pizza Wave was again, for a Togo order. They told me my order would be ready in 30minutes (a small cheese pizza and a meatball sandwich). When the wait time was over my food still was not ready so I waited a few more minutes- not a huge deal. But when I got home (a 1.5 minute drive) I discovered that my pizza was just a tad warmer than room temperature. I actually considered zapping it in the microwave (ew). The sandwich we ordered was hot but SURPRISE- it wasn't a meatball sub, it was some kind of chicken parm sandwich. I could have drove back for a corrected version but I didn't bother. It wouldn't have been worth the wait. In regards to the taste of the food, the general consensus in my house seems to be "its ok." But it's somewhat more expensive than other local pizza places that offer faster service, BETTER service, and much better food. I don't see myself going back.

The best bleu cheese I have ever eaten, we will be returning to Bristol just for it!

Seafood is delicious. I have never had anything here that I did not like. Delivery is great also.

I know this place is called pizza wave but to me and my family that have gone here several times in the past, the pizza itself was alright. In my opinion, I thought it was a little cheesy and the crust didn't seem very fresh but that's really all. When I was a kid I use to get the popcorn chicken and loved it! Now I stick to the Caesar salad and I'm glad I do because it is so fresh and yummy. Although this isn't always the first place I think of when I'm hungry, it still is pretty good.

This place is great. Very dependable for good food. I think the question here is what HAVEN'T I ordered? The chowder and clam cakes are great. I've had the tilapia, calzones, pizza, chicken stirfy, etc. Oh and their pulled pork nachos, I got those a long time ago and I don't even know if they still have them, but if they do... ORDER THEM. they are superub. All the food is good, very reasonably priced meals. The service is quick and every time I've come here, it's never busy. I hope they don't close, but I enjoy that there is never a wait!

Dinner was boring over $60 was the bill without any alcohol I had scallops that were tasteless and they were $20 my wife had had it in a I guess a mushroom sauce. That was pizza waves last chance. Send crust pizza is out and it was very good a while ago no sauce I guess there are new people there that are trying to cheapen things don't go there don't go there if you like tasteful food

This my neighborhood favorite place. There specials are great the prime rib is awesome! The waitstaff are locals that are pleasant to chat with. You can bring the kids and they can make there own pizza. Great for friends gathering no rush. It's a definite thumbs up!

Came here for Mother's Day. Not busy. Food was good! The wait staff was slow and the food took forever to come out.

Great place to take the kids. My daughter loves to come here and always orders the "make your own pizza." This really excites my little one that she knows she gets to make her own pizza. The waitress just brings over the dough on a small pizza pan and whatever toppings she wants and goes to town lol. The menu is quite extensive as other yelpers have stated in their reviews. The food is honestly pretty good. Although when I do come here I usually get a cheeseburger club. I've never had a problem with the waitstaff as they are always friendly. Few big screens on the walls to catch whatever game happens to be on. Family oriented restaurant with a pretty cool beach theme inside including the large shark hanging from the ceiling. My kids love coming here and I have never had a problem with the food quality or service. That's a win win in my book!

I have been to pizza wave many times and have never had a bad experience! They recently became under new ownership and the food has gotten better. The service is always great the waitresses are very attentive. The food is very delicious and the menu has all your bases covered. They have something for everyone! I've tried just about everything! Some of my favorites are the fig and prosciutto pizza, ( I like that they give you an option with the crust I like thin pizza so I always get hand tossed.) the steak tips are always juicy and great, all the fried seafood and pasta dishes are delicious as well. It's a great place to go for lunch or dinner and a perfect atmosphere for kids. I like to call it a hidden gem because it is tucked away on Metacom and I can't wait to go back!

Have been going for sometime - I think they are going downhill so fast - what happened? Went in last night, we waited 20 min. to place an order and they weren't crowded - and I had the "not so anymore -Famous" steak tips on a salad - the tips weren't marinated , only gave me three tips and the bread crotons where larger than the steak tips - I asked for a menu just to see if the price had been reduced - A very poor example of something I would tell people to go and try - can't say I would recommend again And by 8:00 p.m. staff was cleaning the place to get ready to close for the night, made us feel we should leave. Hope the try harder to bring it back to the great place it was

It's a HUGE menu. prices are always affordable. Sometimes the food is very good.Sometimes you get big portions. Sometimes you get bread. Sometimes they are out of what you want. Sometimes the pizza isnt as horrible as it usually is. Sometimes the food gets to you quick. Sometimes the wait staff seems to be missing. Sometimes you are glad you went, sometimes you wonder WHY you went. Sometimes I go. So should you.

Stick with the pizza. We went in one night to try some new things with an amazon deal we found online. We have had the pizza before and it is great, but I was sadly disappointed when we tried some of the other food. We had gotten buffalo wings that were a good size but fell short on flavor and spice. I ordered a gyro and it was gross. It said it had steak, but it was served with what I'm assuming was compressed pieces of meat, definitely not steak. The sauce also lacked flavor and texture, it was very runny and not thick at all. By far the burrito was probably the most discussing thing we ordered. It was large and full of way too much grease. the second my boyfriend bit into it grease went everywhere. It was messy and he wouldn't even finish it. The service was ok, the young girl at the door didn't seam to care that we had walked in and had an attitude, but our server was very nice. However I did notice the table next to us had order burgers and wanted ketchup and the bottle at their table and another table were empty. It was a very disappointing experience but there pizza is still good.

Great food, high prices, solid service. I have never actually gotten pizza from here! But I always order sandwiches, wraps, and specialty stuff. The difference between their large/small subs is not all that different. I normally get the small, because the large is not worth the $2-3 extra for two bites. As for delivery, you are better off picking it up at the store! There is plenty of parking. Much like any other pizza place, the food is often cold or a bit stiff by the time it gets to you. If you live nearby and you normally get food from Pizza Wave, I would definitely look into their rewards card. Not sure of the exact logistics, but it is along the lines of every $50 spent is $10 credit to the next order. I recommend the Buffalo Chicken sandwich or the Fenway Special. Very large menu online.

I went to the wave gor the first time yesterday and ordered it to go. I was SUPER excited they had whole belly fried clams in the fishermens platter. When we got home the portions were very big and smelled and looked great, expect for the fact that there was NOT ONE whole belly clam . It was just a bunch of what look like fried onion straws. I was very disappointed because the meal cost 19.99, i didn't mind paying it because i thought i was getting whole belly clams not a bunch of over fried strings. The place is cute on the inside and the girl at the front counter had a bit of an attitude but got me the little extra things i asked for like extra tarter and lemon wedges. I think id try it again but something else next time.

At first we was impressed with the menu and when I saw the Mac cheese and hotdog for $10.99 I thought to myself "for that price I bet it's great! My two friends also thought that :-( The food was delivered on time but for $ 10.99 it was the biggest rip off possible.. The hotdog was as if it was marinated in salt and the portion size wasn't even enough to feed a kid! Taste was good but a tease.... For all 3 meals with two drinks came to $41.99.... Rip off next time I will buy a package of hotdogs for 2.99 and a pound of Mac cheese at stop shop for 1.99 savings of $36.99 don't forget they double charged us by accident so initially we paid 84.00 lol I would suggest to give it a shot and order somthing else ! SRW

Been here several times...menu is huge. Everything that I have eaten here is 2 to 4 stars..so I'll settle at 3 overall. It's loud and busy..especially on the weekends. Great for kids and you'll have a lot of college age during the school year. Medium priced, but you get a fair share of food..one of those places you end up when you can't figure where to go.

We stopped in one afternoon for lunch, thinking we would get pizza, but when we saw they had fish and chips made with Haddock not Cod and used a beer batter, we thought we would try it. I am not a big fan of fish and chips, but have to say they do a great job here! The batter is light, not that heavy batter that you bite into and then wonder where the fish is. The fries are great and even the cole slaw has a good flavor. We have been back many times, for both lunch and dinner, and while we say we will get a pizza, we revert to the fish because it is so good! We have had burgers and found them big and juicy, but it is our go to place for seafood. We are going to try to get the Prime Rib some night because we have heard how good it is...maybe they will be out of fish and we will really get the Prime Rib.

Has gone downhill fast. Or maybe I'm not supposed to go here on a Monday. Or maybe not come here in the off-season. Whatever the case is, c'mon Pizza Wave, get your shit together again.

What has happened to this place. Although this place was never a five star joint, it always seemed like a reliable fall back type of a restaurant when nowhere else can be agreed upon. Pizza wave has an extensive menu of American favorites, from pizza, burgers, seafood, steak and all sorts of fried goodies. But recently my excursions to The Wave have ended in utter disappointment and near disgust and left me questioning the rationale for going there in the first place. Recent changes in their menu or perhaps a supplier has caused Pizza Wave to veer off a cliff where quality control is concerned. I used to love this place as great, cheap meal out, now...it seems like they've gone cheap on us, the customer, with inferior ingredients.

WOW! no reviews yet!? Well I shall be the first! I love this place! I started ordering from here last year on those nights when it was to cold or gross to leave my dorm room. First off the menu has pretty much anything you could want! Pizza, subs, steak, sea food, salad, soup, chicken as well as ribs! This is the only place my friend will get buff chick pizza. The food is good and they restaurant itself is very cute and big! Waitstaff/delivery person always friendly and with the right order. they are open till 10 on weekdays and 11 weekends. Love this place and would recommend it to anyone.

The menu is huge, the food is decent and the prices aren't too bad... usually. I must admit I agree with Gary when he says this place is going downhill so fast. I have been going here since they opened and in the beginning this place was a fresh new spot with a lot of menu options. Recently, my parents and I ordered to go and as my mother had called it, they messed up the order. The order was pretty simple; a chicken parm dinner with ziti and two greek salads with chicken, one with ranch instead of bleu cheese. Looking forward to eating here again, I was disappointed when my salad was missing ranch dressing. Not to mention, when I went to the restaurant to pick up the order, paying took over fifteen minutes. There was so much confusion because the computers were not working correctly which was an inconvenience, which later was even more frustrating. I don't know what happened, but they used to be so great!

First, let me start by saying that as a frequenter of Pizza Wave since it first opened about 5-6 years ago (if my memory serves correctly) I've rarely had a bad experience. However, all of my previous foray's into the food have been through pickup or delivery. Last night, for the first time, I brought in my Nook and sat at a table, ready to get off my feet, do a little reading and fill my empty stomach (I'd worked all day, at another restaurant, and hadn't eaten since 10 am....it was about 8:45 pm when I walked in). I was sat in a booth right in front of the counter and after a minute my waitress walked up and asked if I'd like a drink. I ordered the red sangria and it arrived quickly. I should have just stuck with a soda. The Sangria wasn't bad, but it was plain...tasted like Red Wine and Sprite with some pieces of fresh fruit thrown in - not worth the $5.50. The waitress, who never introduced herself (this seems to be a running theme at many places lately...what ever happened to being accessible and polite?) came over and asked if I was ready so I started off with an order of clams casino and then wanted the surf and turf with stuffed shrimp as my meal. The casinos came out in an appropriate amount of my time, 6 in an order. The bread crumb topping was practically nonexistent and all of the casinos were literally swimming in butter. After squeezing 3 pieces of lemon all over them they had enough taste to eat and somewhat enjoy. Now, for the Surf & Turf which comes with their Steak Tips, your choice of seafood and your choice of 2 sides. I should mention that I've ordered steak tips from here too many times to count...and they are always moist, well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and delicious. Last night however, after asking for them to be cooked Medium, but no more than Medium Well, they arrived Well Done, tough, and very dry as there wasn't a single drop of the au jus that is normally present. The baked stuffed shrimp was gross - the stuffing was unlike any other seafood stuffing I've ever had (huge pieces of chopped up green peppers, really?) and didn't have a nice flavor to it at all. The 3 shrimp were sitting in, again, tons of butter and the shrimp were MASSIVELY overcooked. The 2 sides I ordered - rice pilaf that was dry and tasted like it came from a box, and the loaded baked potato which was smothered in cheap shredded cheese, lots of bacon, and wasn't fully cooked in the middle - pretty much got left behind. I was one of 2 tables in the whole place and my waitress was doing some cleanup as the restaurant closes at 9:30. She seemed pretty busy but found the time to check on her other table a few times...but not once did she ask how my appetizer or entree were...she pretty much ignored me (just because I was reading my Nook doesn't mean I'm oblivious to everything else around me and it doesn't mean I shouldn't be "checked" on). I spent $46 including the 10% tip I left Sharon (I got her name from my receipt). I'm a waitress myself so I RARELY leave less than 15% but when I'm practically ignored - after I finished eating she didn't even ask how it was! - she was lucky she got the $4 and change I left her. Will I be ordering from Pizza Wave again? Most likely. But I probably won't be stopping in for sit-down service anytime soon.

Pizza Wave is a good place to go when you are in the mood for some good, American, hangover style fare, but can't decide exactly what you want. They have a ton to choose from, pizza, dozens of sandwiches/grinders, pizza, dinner plates, etc. This is definately a great family place to bring the kids. Affordable prices, friendly service, and decent pizza. I love their popcorn chicken and I pretty much only come here when craving it.

  • Bob A.

Just tried the wave for the first time. Delivery. Pizza special and an order of chicken tenders. The tenders were what you would expect, previously frozen, fried served with side dipping sauce. Pretty standard. Next the pizza...Now I had been looking forward to this all day...I open the box and...what happened?!?! Someone must have carried it vertically under their arm or something. All the toppings were on one side of the box, half the pie was bare. How hard is it to carry a pizza rightside up and get it to a house without rendering it almost unedible. I spread the toppings the best I could back over the remainder of the pizza. Decent flavor but the presentation left a bad taste in my mouth.

Huuuuge Menu. Food is dependable and tasty. Not expensive. Last time I was there a little league team and all their parents were walking out.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
