Family owned and operated. This is a great place for a date or a large family dinner. Great food and beverage served by friendly staff. Try the chopped steak with cheese or the traditional stromboli (they still put a little mustard in there...you'll love it).

Maybe a bad night to be there, but we weren't impressed. Ordered a cheese steak, onion rings and veggie boli. 45 minutes later no sign of food so I went to ask about it. Got my rings and sandwich off a warmer, boli came 10 minutes later. I got a steak hoagie delivered instead a steak sandwich and wife's boli was bland and the rings were nothing to write home about. Girl who took the order did bring us on-the-house soda refills, but I already had a jumbo drink, how was I going to drink a second one? Tomato popped out of my sandwich onto the floor just as a busboy came walking by. Would have expected him to pick it up or let me know not to worry about because he'd be back to get it....nothing. He just stepped over it. I picked it up myself, which I intended to do, but just seemed like he should have cared enough to say something. Not worth going back.

Well I am going to do something unpopular for sure - I am going to complain about Vito's. I had been a regular here for years some time ago - and rarely had anything to complain about ever, which is why I brought my girlfriend here, for some great pizza, good drinks at a nice place. First thing, out waitress - bartender. She would not write our order down, and asked us to repeat it 4 times before she believed she had it committed to memory. When she walked away I looked at my girlfriend and said there is no way we are getting what we ordered. Surprise Surprise!! - We didn't. We ordered 2 small pizzas - a white and a red. The red pizza she forgot the peppers - big shock there. The white garlic pizza was bland; we had to use a ton of salt on it. We ordered it with spinach, and it had globs of soggy frozen spinach dumped on it - yuk. The red pizza was just good, although I was pissed it didn't have peppers, I was also pissed the waitress - had so little regard for the establishment or respect for the customer to properly take an order, it wasn't complicated, pizza and toppings. We knew it wasn't going to be right when she was struggling to memorize the order. The beer here is very good. I have had much better experiences here, but I was trying to impress my girlfriend, lame white pizza and the disregard to take our order properly left my girlfriend wondering why in the world I would have liked it here. I think you may have lost a customer...sorry.

Needed some food before my late night drive back to MoCo and they were open. Lucky for me Vito's has great food. Good prices and generous portions. The mozzarella sticks (as they call it Breaded Mozzarella) was delectable with a great breading and if they use the same sauce for the Pizza then they have a smash winner. I also had Cheese Steak Sub toasted with mushrooms. The steak was juicy and satisfying. Yelp may say they are open still midnight but they were open till 2am, so call and make sure. It's worth the trip!

The pizza and bar foods are quite good. The beer selection isn't the best in York, but isn't bad by any means. The six packs to-go section has a pretty good selection available. The place itself is interesting as it is divided into a family friendly restaurant on the one side and a regular bar on the other. While I haven't been to the family side; I have always received good service on the bar side (even on a Friday evening). Definitely one of the better pizza and beer locations in York. Recommended.

Vito's is a great home town favorite. I am from out of town but always enjoy coming back to this Yoco staple. The pizza is great and stromboli is always on point, the beer is ice cold. The owners are great people as well. I always hold employee get togethers there and highly recommend it.

Sorry to be the Debbie Downer here. I can't comment on the food, so please take that under consideration. However--$14 for a 6 pack of Stone IPA? Really?! Really?!!! Their six packs are quite steep in price.

Big fan of this place's pizza. Very delicious and a good spot to get some drinks too. I've ordered take out here many times. Drinks are priced pretty normal but in my experiences they were not very strong and stuffed with ice. Staff is always very friendly. It can get packed when a high school crowd strolls in but that's only happened twice in my experiences here.

Best NY-style pizza in the York, PA area. They're one of the few places I will order a pizza with anchovies from because they do it right and don't overcook the pie.

I have been going to Vito's for almost 40 years and have always been happy with their consistency on the ham boats.... tasty Virginia smoked ham...Had a ham boat this evening and it was not smoked ham. What a disappointment. I would gladly pay more for the REAL DEAL. Next time, it will be pizza for me!

Decent pizza. Good beer selection. Usually a pretty good craft on tap as well. It's tucked away in a strip mall and is easily passed by. But it's definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for some beer and pizza.

I grew up in York and just moved back after 5 years thought I would check out Vito's on Friday night because it used to be the local hangout, when I went there the service was decent and the food is still delicious but the rest of the customers were mostly retirement age. This wasn't what I was expecting and I felt pretty awkward being the youngest person there.

this is probably my favorite pizza/subs/bar place ever. they have a huge beer selection of domestics and imports - and not your run of the mill selection, either. i love their pizza, the regular stromboli is the best i've ever had and their subs are all good too - especially the chicken cheesesteak. the bar has many big screen tvs for watching sports and the bartenders make an array of drinks really well and with good service. i worked here for a bit awhile back and i can honestly tell you the kitchen is spotless!

This is a very nice bar/pizza joint. If you are looking for some decent pizza this place will do, and the other food is pretty good too. The bar is very spacious and does not allow smoking which is nice. Beer prices are reasonable and they have a pretty large selection of different beers in the cooler. I would definitely reccomend this place for dinner and a few drinks.

Used to be a frequent spot when I lived in York........after moving I realized how great their Chopped Steak with Cheese and Italian Subs were and still are. Now we stop on the way to and from the beach plus whenever we're in town to see the relatives. No sandwiches in Pittsburgh come close.......poor imitations at best! Personally I like their chopped steak sandwiches better than any of the famous Philly cheese steaks and we all know they're pretty darn good!! Their Italian Subs are better than those in the Burgh because they don't pile 3 pounds of assorted meat. Vito's puts the right amount of meat that lets all of the ingredients shine through in a heavenly italian way. When I was a kid, Vito's was located on East Market Street close to where I grew up. They were one of the first non-franchise restaurants in York with a drive-thru window (although Albertos down the street may have also had one). Vito Jr., who took over for his father, is a Steelers fan, so we know he's okay

Definite favorite spot for locals. Their food is good and people are friendly. On the weekends, the bar is a good place to hang out! They are also on Cardagin, so I save money on my pizza order! Download Cardagin for yourself Free to save.
