I love Michaels Italian Hoagies and routinely drive 1/2 an hour just to get one. Also, love their cheesesteaks and burgers. Give Michaels a try if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent homages and cheessteaks. Best place in Ridley, Swarthmore area to get sandwiches. Staff is very friendly. That & awesome food, I wont go anywhere else for my Italian special with sweet peppers on the side at least once a week :)

Amazing cheesesteaks. Arguably the best in Philly IMHO. This local joint has been in the same location with the same owner since 1977, so they've definitely passed the test of time.

Oh. My. Gosh. Totally worth the short detour off of I-476 to hit this place on the way to the airport. The ambience is authentic old-school. And the sandwiches are to die for!

This place is my happy place, i walk in the smell of deli meats fills the place. The guys and gals behind the counter are friendly courteous, they learn your name they learn what you like and are, besides the food, the reason i come back time after time.

Just finished having a very satisfying lunch with the husband and two kids (5 and 7). We ordered philly cheese steak sandwiches -mini for the kids and small for us. I had mine with roasted sweet peppers and those were amazingly sweet and crunchy. We didn't leave anything on the plates! It's a shame we don't live close by or we would become regulars.

Damn this place is good! I've only been once, on a recent visit to my friend's house, but I absolutely loved my cheese steak. The owner and the guys behind the counter were super friendly and they grilled up an amazing sandwich. I got a large cheese steak (an understatement because this thing was massive, probably weighing 3-4 lbs and over a foot long), which was loaded with a ton of meat, cheese and sweet peppers. The taste was amazing. Indeed it was so good, I really think I could have ate the whole thing in a single sitting. Fortunately, as I've gotten a bit older, I've learned that sometimes discretion is the better part of valor, so I decided to save half for dinner.

Skip the downtown lines and save some time! We were visiting from out of town and found Michael's on Yelp. We were stuck in traffic on 95 and looked to see what was nearby. Michael's is hands down the BEST Philly steaks around!! Everything is made hot, fresh and fast to order--even a custom grilled cheese for our little guy. Only a minute off 95, it's worth the stop!!
