This little shack is a hidden gem in Williamsport. Great prices and the food is good. Friendly service. Cool history behind the place. My family of six ate lunch for just under $28. after tax, before tip.

Looked a little sketchy from the outside but I am so glad we went in to eat! I got 2 HUGE pancakes, eggs and 2 big pieces of bacon for $5.25. It was so filling, I couldn't finish it all and it was really good. Good food, friendly people, clean inside. Will definitely go again!

I'm visiting from Harrisburg and I wanted a beer and some good bar food, so I decided to visit this place because it got really good reviews. Wow, was I disappointed. It was about 15 minutes outside Williamsport, and did it show...this place is a hick bar. Now, I have nothing against hick bars but this place was awful. Small TV's, 1 pool table, and the other customers were loud, foul mouthed, and generally weird looking. The service was pretty bad as well. It took me about 7 minutes to get a beer at the bar on a Monday night! They were definitely under staffed but the girls worked there butts off ( I gave them a nice tip because i felt bad). The food was average. Nothing great about it but it wasn't bad tasting. The fries were definitely tasty and thats the only positive I could think about this place. Summary: If your a hick that likes being around your kind, this is your place! Definitely the local watering hole and it shows!!

Great place for wing night. Service is friendly and gets the job done without trying to talk up a storm at the table. Some call this place a "dive bar" but it gets the job done and then some if you consider how cheap it is to eat and drink. Food quality can't be beat for the price. I have never had a problem here. They do not take credit cards but there is an ATM to get cash. Outdoor dining is nicer than the inside but will go whenever regardless of where we sit.

You don't come here for the ambiance, you come for the cheesesteaks, which are WAY good! Very tender, thinly cut, flavorful meat, no fat, excellent bun. My only gripe is they don't have Cheez Whiz. Two cheesesteaks "in the garden," two beers, one iced tea, bill $12. Can't beat itl

New owner. And still great place to eat. Different specials every night. Not sure which one is my favorite because they all are delicious! Sunday's wings, Monday's cheese steaks, Tuesday's pizza or pork bbq. Wednesday's tacos, Thursday's wings, Friday's beer battered fish and Saturday's cheese burger and fries. Also daily and monthly drink specials. There is a very good variety of other meals on the menu as well. You can't go wrong!

Great food, portions, and prices! The Crippled Bear Inn looks like a dive biker bar from the outside, but the inside reveals a more friendly, cottage-esk, home style cooking restaurant. The food is priced very reasonably for the insane portions they give you. The burgers are massive and the salads are big enough for 2+ people to eat. They have different food and drink specials every night and occasionally have live bands. I've never been disappointed at the Crippled Bear Inn and you won't either.

Was coming back from bike trip to Atirondacks late cold desperate for a motel ,it was the worse I've ever stayed in ,ask about a place to eat and Crippled Bear was next door. I hade the Grizzley prime rib sandwich it was soooo good I ask the waitress if I would embarrass her if I licked the wax paper in the bottom of the serving basket . Planning a trip next month and will go out of my way to eat there again .

I stopped in at the Bear while on my cross country trip. I had been here before and loved the cheap prices and great bar food. The atmosphere is just what I look for in comfortable bar, talkative entertaining locals and cold beer. I had a pork sandwich which was delicious but the fries were slightly rubbery. I like them crisp but this is hard to do when using real potatoes. Good Stuff! I've also had their wings, burgers, and their amazing Philly cheese steak - all good! Check out my blog "Tales of a Flying Brick" for more details...

One of the best places to go to get really good, low cost bar food. Great sandwiches and wings. Every night they have some kind of special; taco night, wing night, cheese steak night, just to name a few. In the summer they have an outdoor seating area and it is here that they will have bands playing. I have never had any problem with service or the food. Both have been up to par. This is a great place to meet your friends and have good food, drink, and fellowship.
