I liked their pizza a lot. Go in there and look at their display of food... All of it looks fantastic!

I love their cheesesteaks. Huge portion for not that much money. One of the best places in the downtown area. The fresh baked bread makes the subs.

Been a regular here for awhile. Probably the best eat in pizza in the area. They have a killer variety, and will have some really good unique bites on some days. Pizza with pasta in it? I'm all in. I don't see a con here, fair prices, cool staff and quality food.

Pronto Via Pizzeria is one more reason why the Wilkes-Barre area is known for having such great pizza. A bit hard to find, the restaurant is located behind Musical Energi and next to the Intermodal Transportation Center. At only $5 for two large slices and a soft drink or bottle of water, Pronto offers one of the best lunch values in the downtown area - with such low prices the restaurant may get a little crowded during the afternoon lunch rush, but the line moves quickly and the employees working behind the counter know how to hustle; I've never waited more than five minutes for my order. If you're a night owl and prone to eating after the witching hour you may have already visited Pronto - they are one of the few quality pizzerias open late. During the summer months I would also recommend sampling Pronto's fifty different varieties of Italian Water Ice.

My previous review was full of nothing but praise for this establishment.... But alas... It has fallen into the nepa "bad food" bracket, the original owners are no longer there and I have a general rule of thumb when it comes to food, 80% of the time I will not go to a restaurant if the person cooking.. Shouldn't be, there's Mexicans behind the counter, and while I have no problem with anyone cooking any kind of food... You should be able to cook it! The same way I wouldn't go to a Mexican restaurant with Jamaicans behind the counter. The food has fallen off pretty bad, the pizza is not what it was, nor the sandwiches or other hot food, which is sad because this place was great and now it's just turning into another mediocre nepa pizza shop.... Shame.

To be honest, I have only stopped at Pronto Pizza for a quick slice for lunch or a mid-day snack. But I have never been disappointed, and has been everything I could ask for- pizza was hot, fresh, cheap. (I have a feeling I should interject "That's just how I like my women" but I'll hold back on the jokes).

Everyone thinks they can make pizza...Pronto Via Pizzeria DOES. Excellent -- definitely try it! Tricky to find if you're not looking for it --but well worth it once you have it!!!

The service is great, as are the prices (5 bucks for two slices and a drink) and because of this, I really wanted to like this place. However, both visits left me unimpressed. I had a slice of sausage today that was still cold even after being thrown in the oven. I ate a pepperoni slice previously that was floppy and kind of bland. The crust at the end is tasty, though. I've never ordered a fresh pie, so that might be a better bet than a slice, but I don't think I'll be back for a quick lunch.

I missed Friday's last bus to Philly. That meant spending one more night in Wilkes-Barre and that thought alone was hard enough to take on an empty stomach. I walked out of the Martz terminal and saw this place open, walked in and asked the lone customer if the food was any good. He had no words for me. His face was stuffed with pizza. I took that as good enough an answer. In any case I was already there and people know me as risk taker. The man at the counter heard my question and as soon as I turned he trumpeted, "We have great food here!" I believed him, but he was lying. I should've known better. By the looks of his products I should've known that saying that Pronto Via Pizzeria is great is a great understatement. Their ziti and sausage pizza blew my mind. It was like a dream come true. Make sure to stop for a couple of slices or call for a whole pie; they deliver!

go here for lunch all the time, usually get a spinach or eggplant roll. Today, I got the grilled chicken caesar salad & it was FANTASTIC. Hard to get excited about a salad but this one did it for me. Real grill marks on the chicken which was moist strips & lots of it. Dressing was classic caesar, not too much, not too little. The romaine lettuce was crisp & fresh.

I was hungry last night at around 1 am, figured I should try this place since it was my only option that wasn't fast food. I ordered a large chicken wing pizza and a broccoli roll. The pizza was large, very generous with the chicken, had a nice kick with sauce. The broccoli roll was delicious very cheesy and lots of broccoli. The only thing that prevented 5 stars was I like my pizza a little bit more crispy.

Was at a job and we decided to get some pizza. First, the guy that answered was very patient and polite as i we didnt have good reception at the spot and the directions weren't the easiest. The pizzas (plain and sausage) were ok. The cheese stood out as better than others but the dough was chewy. Overall a good deal tho

Pronto has some delicious pizza and all for a great low price. They usually have a daily special some days where you get a soda and two slices for just five bucks. The best pizza they have that I've tried is the tortellini pizza. The pizza is decorated with whole pieces of cheesy tortellini. The first time I went there I had a slice of their plain pizza. The crust is nice and crisp with a crunch to every bite. The cheese was very good as was the sauce. Neither overpowered the other. It tasted just like the pizzas that I've had in my visits to New York City.
