Very nice place! The sushi was very fresh, and very tastey. We shared an abundance of vegetarian and flesh rolls, all of which we enjoyed. I am looking forward to go back , and try some of the non-sushi menu entrees. The little koi pond was cool, the boy got a kick out of the "fishies". Good food, good service, just good.

Excellent sushi from an excellent chef. Too bad they cater to the "buffet set," ruining the ambience of the place. If you don't mind people milling around, loading their plates with Chinese food as if it were their last meal, you may be the only person at the sushi bar, but the personally-made fare is well worth it.

This is actually a Chinese/Japanese Steak House....usually I am skeptical of such places, but while in the area, we thought that was the perfect compromise to what my wife and I were both looking for. First of all during the day on a week day, it is never really busy, so no need to sit around waiting. The restaurant is clean, and the lighting is a bit dimmed, which is nice. We have seen the guys come out to clean stuff, and always wearing gloves, that's always nice to see..... As far as the food is concerned, we have ordered some sushi platters or combinations and it has always been very good. The wait staff is always pleasant and quick to come around whenever you're looking for someone to either ask a question of an item on the menu or for anything else you might want to add to the order. They have also been great to deal with my wife's dietary restrictions....to me that's a huge plus. The quality of the food is very good, always fresh, and cooked as expected. On a personal note, they have a plate called the "happy family" that is excellent. I enjoy quite a bit of meat with my meal, and have always been satisfied. All in all, I can strongly recommend this place as a great lunch restaurant. Unfortunately, I have yet to go there during the weekends or for dinner, so can't comment on how the service would be whenever they may be very busy......enjoy!!!!

Very nice buffet. Large selection of almost anything you could want. Quality is pretty good too. Fast service when it comes to taking your plates when you go back for more. Definitely worth checking out.

First off, I want to say that I've been here countless times. The first 2 or 3 times was really good, they made one of the dim sums that no where else made and it's my favorite dim sum of all time. I was so happy they were making it. Then it goes downhill from there. They stopped making that one specifically and then the next few times you see the dishes started to be reduced until they don't make the real dim sum anymore. Instead they offer you those buns that are just simply BREAD. Not cool. Their choices of sushi are horrible, for the price they are charging and the price of other buffets in a 1-2 mile radius, they are EXPENSIVE for the varieties they offer. If they didn't go so cheap on everything and if they didn't get rid of the dim sums, I would be going back. Also it seems like each day they make different food. some of the dishes are missing and replaced with others. Overall they are just mehh. I'll swing by if I can't think of any other places to eat.

Not fresh, not clean, not even close to being worth the money. Our booth had a rip in the seat that was mended by blue duct tape that was scratching against my bottom. Asked to be moved but was told by the waitress that would entail moving us to a different section, other than hers. Seemed like a major inconvenience and although annoyed, I decided not to push it. Big selection but none of it was fresh. Sushi was not kept at a cool safe temp although I played roulette by eating some and thankfully didn't get ill. Table was sticky and the place in general was not clean. Staff should do less standing around and conversing and cleaning. Was disgusted when I saw how the orange chicken was filled. New food was mixed in with old and the staff member removed some of the old dried up pieces just by eye-balling the ones that didn't look good. There was probably pieces of chicken in that pan that had been sitting out all day...gross. Flaming Grill & Supreme Buffet on Grape St blows this dump away! Go there instead!

Don't waste your hard earned money here. I have been here three different times and all three times have been bad. I gave this place many chances yet they still are a disappointment. Their food is never hot. If you're lucky it'll be luke warm but that's as good as it gets. It seems as if they leave their food out far too long too, partly why the food is probably cold. It's hard to find anything enjoyable on the buffet. Then as if things couldn't get any worse I used the restroom and was disgusted. It looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in three years! This place isn't even worth the one star. I will not be returning and I would definitely not recommend.

there are a few Chinese buffets in the Whitehall area. this one is hit or miss. some days the food is delicious, some days its clearly old and tasteless. my mom got sick from their clams one time though, so shes leery. ive never had a terrible time there, but never wonderfully fantastic either.

My boyfriend came here previously and he said it was a decent place to eat. Buffets in this area typically aren't top of line but I was expecting something decent. Upon arrival we were seated in a secluded section of the buffet which I thought was nice considering the privacy. I ask for a Coke and went up to get my food. 1. The sushi looked awful. Everything from the quality to the presentation. (Tasted even worse) 2. The noodle were salty, so salty. They were hardly warm. Along with the chicken. It was clearly last night's left overs being put back out for Sunday lunch. 3. My coke had no syrup in it. I kindly asked for a new one and the server was so ignorant and rude to me. 4. The bathroom was trashed. A worker was cleaning which was a relief. Then I noticed the product she was using to clean, wood polisher. Sigh. 5. When the server gave us our check she literally tossed it on our table. It was so rude! I will never eat here, ever again. Neither will any of my friends or family.

Haven't been here for a while because they restock their dishes very slowly and reduced the dish selection...well, some thing never change...except that now they give you dirty cups and the bill tray has fortune cookie crumbs all over...I understand it's a Chinese buffet, not a fine dining, but that's unacceptable. Not coming back here again. On a positive note, their new hostess is very friendly.

This is one of the worst chinese food buffets in the area. There isn't much variety and what they do have is just ehh. They used to be much better when they first opened. I have been very disappointed the last two times I have been there and I will never go back.

Ate there with my wife this past week, it's a shame what the quality of the food has become here. The food was so stale, it's as if they cooked the food the day before and put it out the next day. We promised ourselves never to return again afterwards. Don't waste your money here, go to the East Supreme Buffet nearby on Grape St. Much better and fresher food!

Best Chinese buffet yet! They are tons of items to choose from, my personal favorite...CLAMS! Its hard to find a Chinese buffet that consistently offers clams! Every time I have been to Sakura's they have had clams. The Hibachi is very good too! This comes with the buffet ... for $10.95 on the weekends you can't beat it!

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! Me and my fiance went here for a second time on New Year's Eve because we had a coupon for $3 off that expired that day. We sat and ate at the Buffet, when we asked for the check I told the waitress I have a coupon, she said "ok" but she comes back with check telling us no coupon on holiday, I explained it was not a holiday and it expires today. She said she would go get the manager, waiters and waitresses kept coming by and looking at us, I am assuming to see if we skipped out on the bill, we waited 10 minutes. Afterwards we decided we waited long enough, so we went to the front desk to talk to manager, the manager said it is a holiday, and there is a note on the door, which was not there when we came in. Then says it's company policy, my fiance was getting frustrated and said just pay, because who knows how long the note has been there, the manager says with a attitude "been there all day!", so my fiance asked for the car keys and said we wont be coming back here again just pay the check and lets go. The manager did not respond and just rang me up and let me leave instead of trying to accommodate us. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! STAY AWAY!

Let me be the first to say that this is a weird "Japanese Steak House." This was a decent hibachi/sushi house that decided at one point to expand into the next door and created a seperate chinese buffet. Then they must have realized the profit margins from the buffet were higher than the hibachi/sushi side, so they proceeded to merge the two sides, consolidate kitchens, and create some sort of hibachi/sushi/buffet(with separate hibachi and sushi sections dedicated to the buffet)...strange. The end result is a confusing arrangement where you walk past the 6 six traditional hibachi grills to walk to the "other/left" half of the restaurant that is the buffet. Then after you are seated, you walk BACK to the original side to pick from the buffet. Like I said, weird. Having gone through all that the buffet is ok. The usual spread of faux Chinese fare at a decent price. It has a sushi display as well as a hibachi. I would probably have given it 3 stars if not for the confusing set up. I WOULD have given the older original hibachi/sushi house 4 stars...those days are over. The sushi has gone downhill. In fact when I recently went there with my wife, she asked for a sushi menu and the servers looked completly lost. They didn't write her order down and the whole experience was a bit of a hot mess. Save the grief, go to the East Supreme Buffet down the street for a Chinese Buffet and find a local hibachi/sushi house that actually makes sushi or hibachi, you will be happier.

What happened?? This place had great food and service just a few months back. Now they "remodeled" and the food is horrible. The woman taking care of our table spilled coke on my wife, table, and floor and didn't bother cleaning it up. This is NOT the same food or people... Food has no taste. No way will we EVER come back to this place!

This restaurant is one of my least favorite hibachi's in the area. The atmosphere is "ok", only because I find it strange that they have a buffet there as well. The food was not worth the money. If the prices were cheaper, I would then probably give it 3 stars. However, for the price I would expect a little better tasting food (had hibachi & some sushi).

Sakura is good, but not great. I've been here for sushi a million times (the girlf likes it a lot more than I), and the buffet once. Sushi is always good. Most of the fish seems good and fresh, though I've gotten the occasional ...fishy piece. Depending on the chef, rolls are put together at varying levels of skill. Sometimes they get a little loose, or maybe the nori doesn't quite reach around, that sort of thing. They do, however, have the black pepper tuna avocado roll, which is full of flavors near and dear to my heart. A trifecta of things that I love. And they don't do a half-bad tamago. Their cocktails also tend to be a little unruly, be warned. But I would never say you don't get your money's worth of liquor, that's for sure. The one thing that is a big negative to me about the place is the atmosphere. Since it's gotten a (justifiable) reputation for being an awesome buffet, the buffet crowd is taking over the place. What used to be a small sushi-only section is now half taken by buffet eaters, so half the time you can't get a booth. And the lights are brighter since this happened. So the ambiance is beginning to slide. Maybe it's just me, but when I'm out for sushi, I like to be in a cozy booth, soft lighting, light music... and that's not happening here anymore.

What is with all the LV Chinese buffets and their horrible food? Today's lunch buffet was a disgrace. Sushi was nonexistent. They had about two trays full of rolls with just cream cheese and crab. Then they had some sashimi that I didn't trust. (I know...a buffet is not the place for good sushi, but at least have SOME if you say you offer it!) Chicken was all fat, noodles had no taste, and there was a fortune at the bottom of my husband's water cup. Dirty. Sakura was a favorite of mine when they were a regular restaurant and when their buffet first opened. Now, it's gross.

Usually I wouldn't give anything a 'best' rating. But we're talking buffet here. For the Lehigh Valley, not only does Sakura have probably the largest selection of items, they also have hibachi tables and you can have fresh ingredients prepared for you hibachi style at the buffet. Busy or slow, the food is always fresh. Oh, and it's the only buffet I've seen with a full bar.

Average buffet similar to the others in the area. I was happy to see the cleaned (deveined) the shrimp in some of their dishes. Good teryaki steak, spicy chicken and sushi. Most of the other items were oil soaked & below average. Most things tasted the same.

I've been here once for Hibachi/Teppanyaki and at least 20-30 times for sushi. The Hibachi is pretty standard - nothing more or less than you'll get at a place like this in quality and price. Their sushi isn't anything extraordinary either, but the prices aren't bad (lunch specials are great) and the freshness is surprising considering that it's in a strip mall. Note the disco fountain/pond, and although I haven't actually seen it on a menu, I recommend asking for fried ice cream for desert.
