Oops. Very original review was deleted by accident. This place is pretty good. Clean enough, restrooms don't stink like that other place with the chocolate fountain that the kids like to stick their fingers in. The desserts here are remarkably good and that has been for me, a kind of a litmus test for good buffets. They are nice to seniors with special discounts and to military personnel. A waitress warned to be careful on Thursday evenings because that's family night with all the pandemonium one would expect. LOL Looks like they have very good prices for the kids so for the families come on up. Just give it a try and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I'd like to draw your attention to two things: 1. When you go up to get some food on your plate do not leave valuable belongings at your table. 2. Tip the friendly staff personally. Do not leave the money on the table and walk away. I have seen people milling around looking at tables. Let's help keep this a nice experience for the staff and other customers.

The food is decent here, but I have to give this place a good review because of the outstanding service we received this evening from our server Renee. We will come back again because of how awesome she is... Super friendly and great service!! Thank you!

Yeah I know they recently remodeled the dining area but the kitchen is disgusting. Will never eat here or any old country buffet anywhere

Just a place to eat tons of food and most of it isn't any good. It's budget food and your stomach will feel it. After you are done eating you'll keep thinking, "Why did I eat that?"

I only ate this location twice never had an issue. Tasted like any other Old country buffet.

I don't know why we (my wife and I) do this to ourselves.... Well we had no idea what we wanted for dinner last night.. She had a birthday coupon.. And we figure oh well, let's try this one more time.. Now we already had low expectations.. But it just gets worse.. First.. The quality of the food is taken another hit.. I had these sausage patties covered in sweet and sour sauce... Taste was ok.. Texture was like cat food.. Next up.. What I think was Salisbury steak.. Which looked like little parties covered in brown gravy and mushrooms... No real flavor.. The meat was bland and dry.. Not good.. The pulled pork was ok but no bbq sauce to be found.. The fried chicken was decent..just nothing seemed that good.. Gone is the little skillets with mashed potatoes with steak.. Or anything with steak at all.. All those mini skillets are gone.. Same with the chopped steak.. There is still carving station but even that looked scaled down.. It's very disappointing.. I'm not a big fan of golden coral but at this rate they aren't even in the same ball park.. I will be surprised if this location makes it into the new year... It's sad how far they slipped.

Worth the $11.99 dinner prices. Many different variety of foods. Loved the taco bar and carving station. Loved the fountains drinks. Dessert options . Will be back the next time we are in the area.

This Old Country Buffet is in a strip mall off of Whitehall Parkway northbound. As with most other Old Country Buffet locations, they have a problem handling the incoming crowd at peak hours. When I was there on a weekend evening, the line spilled out to the sidewalk. The food is fairly standard for Old Country Buffet. I'd be wary about some of the slow-moving items that have congealed under heat lamps. They also seem to be missing a few items, like taco salad shells, that I've seen at other Old Country Buffet locations. Nothing major though.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but the last two times I've been here, I was underwhelmed by the variety, quantity and the quality of the food. Ironically, the two most recent times I've been there, I've had to ask that the chocolate milk be replenished as they were empty both times. Soft and hard taco shells were also depleted and left empty so we ended up not getting anything at the taco station. There was too many "basic" food options such as mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, chicken noodle soup and not enough country specialties. No grits the last two times I went which was very disappointing. No collard greens, no okra. I'm not sure what makes this buffet "old country" since there wasn't anything there that was particularly memorable or what I'd consider "old country." Oh yeah, the roof was also leaking and they had several bins laying about the place to collect the water. Very unappealing. I'm not sure what happened to this place since it used to be so amazing like going home and eating at grandma's kitchen, but I think I'll go some else for better country comfort food (like Cracker Barrel).

We always have a nice experience. The food is pretty good and they do a good job keeping up with everything and keeping it clean especially considering how many people they get in one day.

I haven't been here in probably a year or two, so this is the first time that I've seen the remodel - and also the first time I'd been there since they began charging for beverages. Although the place definitely looks better - they've replaced the old, cracked vinyl boots, for instance - the food has also definitively gotten far worse. I went there for lunch on a Monday afternoon around 1 and the place was about three-quarters full. I tasted a lot of things, but the only foods that I thought tasted good were the honey barbecue ribs (not real ribs, just slices of pork) and the fried chicken. There were barely any vegetables (canned corn and steamed carrots? No, thanks). They had both cheesecake and pecan pie as dessert options, so obviously I tried both. There were hardly any pecans on the pecan pie, but it tasted fine. The cheesecake, on the other hand, tasted like icing. A sheet of icing on rock-hard granola crust. Not returning here if I can help it.

I only go there because my kids love there fresh cookies but the rest of the food is bad very bad it's always the same thing they have bad limes they were old and rotten when I complain about it the manager said that there fine really I couldn't believe it also the corn salad next to the limes were bad and old this place needs new management because nobody there cares about quality food and customer service

This place is pretty good. Not my first time here and definitely not my last time! they got great selections, but not too many varieties though.

I cant believe I'm giving Old Country Buffet a 5 star review but my fiancé and I stopped in tonight for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised. First off this location is a day off of a new renovation and brand new layout. It needed it and it works! The food tastes far better than ever before, the staff is friendly and talks to you and they even have the new up and coming Coca-Cola Freestyle machines which have over 100 soft drink options in one machine. The management was out walking around and even stocking food in the buffet. Definitely a upgrade and will provide some serious competition to the year old Golden Corral across the street. For lunch/dinner I'll be going back to OCB. If you haven't been there since they remodeled, it's definitely worth going back and giving them another shot.

Pros: 1. They offer seats 2. They offer bathrooms 3. The building has HVAC. Cons: 1. Lines that normally stretch outside and snake around the front of the building. 2. They claim over 90+ different things on their Buffet and I guess if you count things like raisins, croutons, dust, lint, and mold you could get there. 3. Your meal should come with a Coumadin chaser as the amount of fat, salt, MSG, and other inedible acronyms will have you quickly under a set of defibrillator paddles charged to 200 without it. I truly, truly, truly do not get the appeal of this place for any reason other than I guess price, but even there it's not really that cheap. So unless you are trying to recreate the Phil Hartman SNL skit of Super Colon Blow, but instead of cereal you want OCB's taco "meat", I implore you and your bowels to stay far, far from this place as nothing good can come from it. (When the new Golden Corral opens next year, not like that's a whole lot better, this place will be walking the Green Mile to extinction.)

ive only ever been here during lunch hours, and while I ate here unimpressed like a decade ago, I went back this year and was pleasantly surprised. food was good, lots of selection and pretty fresh. the main guy who rings you up for your bill is very nice. ive seen this place have a line out the door, and the same for golden corral. both places are indeed buffets. theyre not going to be amazing people lol. you go there to get typical comfort food and get full. they do that.

@ Christopher C that was honestly one of the funniest reviews I have ever read. It really had me laughing. Sadly it's because everything you said about this place is 100% true. This place is absolutely horrible and I can not believe the amount of people w

Since this place has been kind of reinvented it is much better then it used to be but it is still just ok. there isn't anything special about the food and nothing really to rave about. Its cool that they have steak but out of the 5x's I have gotten the steak it has only been cooked the way I asked 1 time. Which is pretty bad since there is a person assigned to cooking the steak and that is basically all they do. I like my steak medium and I have received it anywhere from well done to still purplish in color which I didn't eat obviously. The one thing I really dislike is that have a drink station kinda in the middle of everything but the glasses are very small and they are all just sitting out still in the crates that they get washed in. Which for me at a buffet were there are tons of people that have had there fingers in everything touching all the glasses before you get it is pretty gross.

We decided to try this place since Golden Corral had a long line out the front door. Boy, what a huge mistake... now I understand why Golden Corral has a huge line and this place does not. This has to be one of the worst places to eat. There were dirty plates on tables that were vacant for at least 1 hour (time we spent to eat), the floor was dirty everywhere and sticky on the tile areas. Staff here seems very depressed, and have attitude problem and they certainly don't dress to impress. The food was not being kept full and I could go on, and on, and on. Stay away from this place! What I don't understand is why people are still going here when you hit Golden Corral or the Chinese place. Really people? My guess is this place will be out of business by next year. They certainly won't get me back for a second try - just horrible...

The place has been revamped. Steak is cooked to order. Menu is great now. More fresh vegetables. New single portion items are good. Salad bar fresh and good choices. New touch soda dispenser might have to many choices.

What was I thinking coming here. The Country Buffet where I live in suburban VA is run by Central Americans so food tastes awful so I thought that here in PA, food would be made by real country home cooking Americans. I was wrong, and it tastes just as bad. Anyway, there 5 adults and 3 kids so it wasn't bad for $90 for a Friday night. Can't believe how packed this place is. Wish we had gone to Red Robin instead.
