I love this place. I always get carry out. Inside isn't the most attractive, but it's clean. My order is always what I expect, and never disappointed. It's never soaked or overdone in sauces. The pork Dumplings are the best I've had ever in any Chinese restaurant in the US. I always go for the Chicken Chow Mein Fun. I read the one star review below, and I'd have to say...who orders take out and then sits down and eats it there? The older gentleman is the owner, all others are wait staff, they need to be tipped to take and clean up after ppl. Doubt that couple would have, since they were "shopping" all day here (obviously visitors). I just found her review rude and presumptuous.

My husband and I went to this "restauaraunt" on Thursday July 17 2014. We were there at approx 1:00. We ordered our food to go because our meter was running out of time and we had no more quarters, we did a lot of shopping there. There was an older gentlemen who was working at the counter, he was very polite. Instead of waiting for our food there we decided to run next door to the hallmark to buy a gift. We recieved change so we added more to the meter. Once we got back to the Dumpling House our food was ready. We explained to the older gentleman that we have more time and we would like to eat inside instead. He said that was fine. We sat down and unpacked our bag and started to eat. The older gentleman brought us two glasses of water which was very thoughtful. My husband and I were almost done eating when a young "waiter"came over to our table and said to us, "when you are finished pack up your garbage and take it with you when you leave, there are garbage cans outside." I was shocked! I could not even respond, so was my husband. After the shock settled I wanted to tell him what was on my mind, but my husband did not want to make a scene and that it would be best to just walk away and write as many reviews as I can and on as many sites as I can about this horrible horrible "restaurant" and tell all our friends and family. We were wrongfully treated as customers and human beings! How can someone treat people like this? I'm still upset about this even days later. I'm sure that young waiter has and will treat people like this again. I have had better Chinese food and I have had worse, this was not great food but it was edible. I was even going to leave a tip for the inconvience of them having to clean our table when we originally ordered to go but after he made that disgustingly rude comment, I did not! Beware of the so called "restaurant". I will never reccomend this place nor go back to it.

Best Chinese food in the area between coudersport and Port Allegheny it's a little mom and pop place and they have EXCELLENT Food! Very friendly owners they greet you and say thanks for coming. To me that is a good restaurant to me.

Located in downtown wellsboro, Dumpling House has some great chinese food, have always loved it. the last time we were there it was packed. i really felt at home when the owner greeted me. i enjoyed orange chicken & lobster sauce rice.
