I found this place a few years ago and have continued to go back. I only ever get a cheesesteak with wiz, and fries... But it's SO delicious! Quick service too. Don't hesitate, eat at Vic and Deans!

After looking through the reviews, I settled on Vic & Deans. Called for delivery, the gentleman asked for my address, and when I told him the hotel he said "we don't go that far". Mind you, it's the SAME TOWN, and upon using google maps I discovered that their location to this hotel is a whopping 3.5 miles. A true cross continental voyage, for sure.

After having a good experience months ago, we looked forward to having the pizza again and ordered delivery one night last week. We were told it would be about 45 minutes which wasn't a big deal. It was a Friday night so understandably they were busy. We called after an hour and a half and we're told the car was on it's way. When the pizza arrived, it was extremely dry and really seemed like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for at least 30-45 minutes. It was truly inedible. Completely chewy and just nothing that I would ever pay $25 for. I tried to reach out to them privately through the website to have the situation rectified and I received no response so I've resorted to posting a review here. Terrible customer service and bad pizza!

I'm a fan. This was our 2nd visit. We had a cheese steak, sauce and onions and a personal pizza, this time with sausage. My cheese steak connoisseur husband loved the sandwich, and I've got to say this is probably the best pizza in the area. We drove 15 miles for it. I was dipping the crust in his sandwich drippings, yummy. Pizza is funny. This stuff is great right out of the oven, but next time we go, we want to take one home to see how it holds up. It's a small place with little room for eating in. The people were nice enough, but not 5 star. I urge you to try it, especially if the weather is nicer than todays snow. FYI, there is a cute little park right next door with a walking trail. Haven't checked it out, but looks nice. Probably popular with the dog owners, since there is a vet office there.

Review version1.1 After dealing with another pizza place and getting horrible service I finally tried this place today. From the time they picked up the phone at Vic and Deans i knew this was a great place. Very friendly and great personality. The driver called when he was getting close. Considering I ordered during dinner time the time was reasonable. And then the pizza came: Oh dear. This pizza is AMAZING! Thin crust, well cooked, great cheese and sauce and sandwich pepperoni! I can't believe it took me this long to find this place but this will be in the regular rotation!!

OK - got home from a long week of travel and decided to give this place another shot. The time I purchased before it was a Friday night and they were busy so I thought maybe things were rushed. Things were worse the second time around. The pizza was horrible and the fries I got weren't much better. Me and my family will be staying away from this place.

Good little spot to get your cheesesteak fix. Friendly staff, clean and you get what you ask for.

This is a special spot, i've been coming here almost 8 years since I started working in the area. We call this Old new but you know it as Vic and Deans. The best Buffalo Chicken pizza in the Philadelphia area that I've ever had. It's just so good, get one if you like buffalo chicken even just a little. The Firehouse is also a very good pizza, and if they're not too busy, they might make you a cheesesteak pizza if you ask nicely. (used to be on menu). that's also a really good pie.

I recently got a small pizza (beware they mean SMALL when you order a small - 8'') from Vic & Deans and it was flat out awesome. The size was perfect for one person, so basically personal pizza. It didn't necessarily look like anything special, but I was really impressed with the taste. It had a thin soft crust and the sauce/cheese reminded me somewhat of Mack & Mancos in Ocean City. I would definitely recommend giving this pizza a shot if you're looking for something in the Wayne area.

Stopped by this neighborhood favorite on W. Wayne Ave for some slices. I've driven past it for years but have never eaten here. Its not on the main drag, but this is a plus for easy access, parking. and close proximity to two township parks. V&D gets high marks pretty much across the board. We had the pizza, which was good but a little unique. The excellent quality mozzarella cheese blended nicely with the thin, buttery crust. The sauce was too sweet for my liking, but still a good pie. They have other menu items like chicken quesadillas that looked delicious, and the Mexican family seated next to us seemed to enjoy them. The place was clean and well run. Our pizza was served to our outside table in about 20 minutes. There is outdoor seating and plenty of on-site parking. If you have kids or just want to go for a stroll, there is a township park directly behind V&P's with a nice walking trail. Catch an American Legion baseball game across the street at Odorisio Park, stop by V&P after the game, go for a stroll on a nice summer night, and get your own "slice" of Americana.

Their pizza is good. I don't see it as the piece of pure magic so many others see it as, but their cheese is fantastic. I ordered a pepperoni pie and while I enjoyed it, I thought it odd that they used deli style pepperoni slices (four inches in diameter or so) rather than the usual pizza topping-sized pepperonis. Still pretty god though. Their sauce is a little sweet for my liking, but that cheese makes up for it. I'd definitely recommend it.

My office orders from them at least 2x per month, and it's always good. Today we had Calzones and some Italian hoagies delivered. Just as I hoped it would be, everything was hot and fresh tasting. Glad someone still delivers good food these days. I recommend Vic and Dean's to anyone looking for genuinely good Italian food.

Vic and Dean's is a little sandwich and pizza shop near my home. In the past it was an easy place to grab a bite or to pick up sides to augment something simple and fast at home. Want some fries to go with a steak or a salad to go with pasta or chicken? Call Vic and Deans, resolved. After a series of bad experiences that began with new (renewed) ownership, we stopped going to Vic and Dean's for almost a year. Recently I decided I'd give them another try, to see if things had improved. I'm happy, after several recent visits, to say that things had indeed improved. We've sampled the pizza, Stromboli, sandwiches, salads, fries, etc. and for the most part things are back to the standards of the Vic and Dean's of yore. A couple of exceptions were the pizza (greasy, tough crust) and the Ceasar salad (minced, somewhat wilted romaine drowning in dressing with a green-yoked hard boiled egg). This Vic and Dean's is still not quite there, but they are making progress. And I hope they continue on their current path back to the Vic and Dean's we knew and loved.

Vic and Deans is the best pizza from Exton to the city. Its a break from the usual chuck e cheese style pizza that dominates this area. Ive ordered from there dozens of times in the last 6 months and havent had a bad pie yet. Their steaks are good too.

We've only ever ordered take-out or delivery cheese pizza, but it has been the best we've tasted in the Radnor/Wayne area. Crust is thin, cheese and sauce are delicious. There is something about it that's a bit different from the "model" pizza (a la NYC or just about any other major city); it maybe the sauce is a bit more sweet. But in any event, we've tried 3-4 other places and this is the best we've found for plain cheese and other non-speciality pizzas.

This place has excellent food - most especially the pizza (this comes from a former pizza maker, so I'm somewhat of a snob). Brian M's review below is dated 7/27/11 and says that Vic and Dean's recently changed owners. This needs clarifying. Vic and Dean's original owner sold the business in 2009 and re-bought it in 2010. So, it is now run by its original owner, which is a huge plus. I agree that when it changed hands in 2009 the quality went down. But now that it's back in the hands of the original owner, the quality has gone back up. Highly recommend.

Whenever my company orders out it's always Vic & Deans. I would like to go ahead and represent all of the employees at my current job and say that everything on the Vic & Deans' menus is stellar. I've personally had their Waffle Fries, Chicken Honey Mustard Wrap, Turkey Wrap, Chicken Cesar Wrap, Regular Fries, and Turkey Pizzalad. All of which I have absolutely no complaints about. For $3 you get Waffle Fries to satisfy you for three straight days. The other day I ordered that JUST FOR LUNCH. It was definitely filling. Hey, I play a lot of tennis, I can definitely afford to eat an order of fries for lunch here and there. Anyways..their Pizzalads are gigantic salads ($6-$8) with a couple slices of pizza dough. Not bad at all. Actually, I love it. As for the wraps...my company always order those for meetings and Vic & Deans will always arrange a nice platter for us (usually we call in the AM to get the platter by noon). I actually remember one time when I ordered the platter right before the lunch rush, Vic (or maybe it's Dean), felt bad that he couldn't make the wraps look perfect so he hooked me up with two large bags of chips. As for the size of the wraps...I'm pretty good with just 1/2 a wrap for lunch and I usually save the other 1/2 for my mid-afternoon snack. Wait, did I describe the Waffle Fries yet? They were salted, golden brown, not soggy, and plentiful. For $3 you cannot go wrong! I've been in there a couple of times and whenever I go in it seems as if everybody knows everybody. I never feel left out though because everyone behind the counter are usually very nice and they seem to remember our company, so that makes us feel that much more special. If you plan on eating in during lunch it may be hard for you to grab a seat. I think they seat about 15 - 20 in there. There are about 8-10 parking spaces to the side of Vic and Deans and I just want to say that you shouldn't get discourages if you can't find it right away... I almost missed it. Also, they take the Wildcard (Villanova). EDIT 4/30/08: You should avoid their cheesesteaks. They are dry and NOT what you would expect from any cheesesteak. One down.

I go for their cheese steaks with wiz. Fresh rolls make the difference!

The pizza is pretty decent at Vic & Dean's particularly for the Wayne area. I've had a white and a red pizza and both were good, although the white was significantly better. Thin crust and very good flavor although a little nontraditional. Cheese is good it's a little greasy, just like I like it. There are two reasons it doesn't get 4 stars. First, the pizzas are a bit small and slightly overpriced. A medium pizza will not feed two people. Second, they are not very generous with toppings or cheese. I ordered a medium bacon pizza and each slice had basically 1 or two 1 in slices of bacon on it. When I order toppings on a pizza, it's because I really want each bite to taste like the topping, not 2-3 bites. There were also large gaps where there was just sauce and no cheese, which is something I don't like either. Overall, I'd recommend the pizza and continue to order it regularly, but some people might really be put off by the apparent cheapness with toppings and cheese and high prices.

Ok, so I'm not giving the pizza itself 5 stars. It's good, probably 3 or 4 stars worthy, but the high rating is more for the fact that they're always pleasant when I call, their prices are good, and their delivery is super fast! Even on Friday or Saturday nights, I've never had to wait very long. Plus, the cheese fries are awesome :)
