I can't tell you if So Fun Yogurt is pricey or not -- as my only visit thus far was via treating after the recent Yelp Elite Event at Sullivan's Steakhouse. Alicia O. & I enjoyed a cool treat from the chivalrous Matthew E. It was hot out. I'd had cocktails -- and by God, this place was in fact, 'So Fun!' because it was bright, cheery, had a kid-corral and I got to make my own brand of heroine in the form of Mango Tango yogurt topped with fresh strawberries, kiwi, and blueberries. Sitting in the sun by the fountain outside was a great way to relax while incessantly praising every bite of my yogurt. Though it's a self-serve, a friendly staffer offered to provide samples before I made my final selection. I was surprised by the variety and unique style of toppings to choose from -- all of my fruit was fresh and perfectly ripe. I will surely be back in Wayne for more (even IF the Jazz & Meat festival isn't in town.)

This place opened up recently in a new shopping center and sorta reminds me of a pink Ikea that serves frozen yogurt from the outside. This is one of two locations around the area. So Fun! is self-serve, which some people will like and other probably won't. I make a mess whenever I use a soft-serve ice cream machine, so I'm not really a fan of the self-serve. I'm sure for others, and especially kids, the self-serve is probably very exciting to them. They have tons of flavors and toppings to choose from. For the toppings, they have all the standards, but they also had fresh fruit like kiwi and blackberries, which I loved. When you're ready to pay, you have to put your stuff on a scale and the weight determines the price. I guess the average is probably around $5 a container. It's worth a trip if you're not in the mood for regular ol' ice cream or Rita's and you're looking for something different.

I quickly stopped in at So Fun Yogurt for dessert after dinner. It was a very generic froyo spot with the usual flavors and toppings. The cookies and cream and birthday cake flavors were good - but then again isn't hard for those flavors not to be. They also have this interesting challenge there to see how much froyo you can eat in 15 minutes, so if you're into food related challenges of check out this spot! Overall: standard froyo spot with an interesting froyo related challenge.

On account of my inner crank, I was originally wary of an establishment that would name itself "So Fun," but this place won my eternal allegience with their banana-coffee swirl. It's gotten to the point where I would rather go to So Fun than an actual ice cream shop -- which I admit is ludicrous -- all because of the banana-coffee swirl. They have other flavors. I'm sure they exist. I've seen the levers for them. I've never felt the need to touch any other levers than the one for banana-coffee swirl. I was shocked to see all the negative reviews. At the absolute worst, So Fun is inoffensive. I've been there a few times and the place has always been clean and the staff has always been friendly. The interior design is nice, but it's better still to sit outside. Out front is an area with a fountain and some benches -- a nice place to relax on a warm summer evening. People complain about the price. This is a self-serve joint, so you are required to be prudent. Use a light hand on the lever and select toppings with some judiciousness. The cups they provide are excessively large -- don't try and fill them up. You have only yourself to blame for concocting a twelve-dollar sundae.

After initially writing a sub-par review, I was contacted by So Fun's owner. He was genuinely interested and concerned about my family's negative experience and went out of his way to call me on the phone. I appreciated his outreach and commitment to improvement.

Yogurt: So Fun has the best selection of toppings that I have ever seen. At least twice as many as the Red Mango down the street from it. The yogurt is awesome and I love the Island coconut and thin mint varieties. My only two complaints are they cannot order green tea yogurt (while many people have requested it) and their flavors do not change frequently. Price: This is the cheapest yogurt around.

LOVED the flavors - delicious taste, creamy and smooth. Toppings were not as extensive as other places. Why 2 stars?? Well, I ended up with lethargy and indigestion for the 24 hours following our trip. No problems at other self-serve yogurt places nor a sensitivity to dairy so what gives . . . . :(

As I mentioned in my Capogiro review, I'm not a big ice cream kinda girl. However, I will make two exceptions (read: clamber over the bodies of the damned) for Capogiro's gelato and self-serve frozen yogurt. It's light, tangy and customizable -- all things I love. So Fun is a bright and cheery self-serve frozen yogurt joint in the vein of popular fro-yo joints like Pinkberry, Red Mango and Kiwi. They have a variety of flavors ranging from plain tart (a great base for toppings), cake batter, chocolate, thin mint, caramel (a little dark chocolate and kosher salt and you could easily serve this at a high end restaurant for $12 a bowl) and pomegranate tart, a really refreshing yogurt that makes a girl crave sweltering summer nights (as well as quick access to a bottle of lemon vodka and a blender). The toppings bar is pretty fantastic as well. In addition to staples like fresh fruit (strawberries, kiwi, mango, bananas), they also have chocolate chips, gummi bears, hot fudge, marshmallow syrup and these odd little Willy Wonka-esque balls of fruity candy that burst and disappear in your mouth. A little disconcerting at first but the mango ones are wholly addictive and made a nice compliment to the pomegranate yogurt. The location is excellent as it's smack-dab in the middle of a murderer's row of good food - Chipotle, Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, Panera Bread and Five Guys - and the perfect spot to pick up dessert after dinner. Since it's self-serve, it can get pricey (the price of my treat usually ranges from $5-9). You get a little scoop-happy and don't really realize exactly how much you're loading into your cup until you weigh it at the register and your eyes bug out. BUT, if you're flush with cash and looking to treat yourself with something yummy (as well as grab a cute temporary tattoo of an anthropomorphic yogurt cup) -- hit up So Fun.

Great place, very reasonable prices. Very clean. Love the different flavored and appreciate the calorie content information for each flavor. Good assortment of toppings! It would be 5 stars if it wasn't so painfully catered to the very young, including the seating

Very expensive since its self serve and the yogurt just pours out before you can pull the lever back up in time not to over serve yourself. You pay by weight. The plain, slightly tart yogurt is probably the best flavor. All the others are diabetes in a bowl.

I came home for a visit and decided to check out So Fun Yogurt. It was underwhelming, to say the least. While I appreciated the attempt at there being a nice variety of flavors, they all tasted the same. By the end of my cup, I couldn't tell cookies and cream from peanut butter. I was disappointed because I love frozen yogurt--especially self serve with unlimited toppings. But instead of a light refreshing snack, the yogurt was way too sweet and I felt heavy and lethargic after I ate it. I highly recommend checking out Kiwi Frozen Yogurt in Haverford if you want something similar but much better. ...or the best of the best....Pinkberry, Red Mango, or 16 Handles if you can make it up to NY.

Great selection of flavors and my first two trips were great as far as service goes. The third, however, was so disappointing it knocked it down a full two stars. It was pretty busy, but that doesn't warrant an eye roll and sigh at a GroupOn punch card! I even spent money on top of the total GroupOn price. Rude, rude, rude!

It's the first day of summer, a steamy night of 98 degrees . I decided to cool off by trying this new " So Fun Yogurt" store. The staff was a bit helpful and explained how it is self serve, and she provided me with a few samples of the yogurt. The yogurt is measured by weight.. and they only stock a med/large size cup, making the portion size larger than one may really want to purchase a $5.00 cup of yogurt. When the owner rang up my cut of yogurt, I wasn't totally surprised since I had a feeling that this was a marketing strategy to provide the customer with only one size cup and let them swirl the yogurt into the cup . I asked for a smaller cup since I didn't want to eat more than 3-4 ounces. The staff/ perhaps manager stated that the cup that is offered is the only one that we supply. I then asked for a lid to carry it out and a bag, " no we don't have bags said the manager/owner. He was a bit stand offish. Bottom line: I am disappointed in this store. The yogurt, toppings, is decent, but nothing over the 'top" price of $5.00. Quite Ridiculous! I'll try Red Mango, the next time.

I'm surprised this place doesn't have higher reviews. Service has been fine and it's a clean establishment. I had the caramel pretzel flavor with a plethora of toppings... I may have went overboard, but moderation is for the weak. :)

I'm basically addicted to this place, and despite telling myself there's no real need for me to spend so much money on a generous cup of peanut butter or cake batter frozen yogurt every other day, I then remind myself that I'm pregnant and it's been my sole pregnancy craving. So I just go with it. So, so good! The reason for four stars instead of five is that it's expensive - north of 50 cents an ounce, I think. And I do wish they offered smaller cup sizes so it were easier to walk away with a smaller portion (since even a large portion looks, trickily, not so big in the behemoth cups they use). But I take full responsibility for the fact that I always end up spending $4 and getting more than I really need to satisfy my cravings. Oh, and the staff is usually pretty friendly, too, in spite of having to dole out free samples all day long and deal with little kids making a mess of the machines, which must not be all that much fun (despite the shop's name!).

Some of the reviews here are completely ridiculous. To the person complaining about the "large portion sizes"-- do you realize it's self-serve and thus the only one to blame is yourself? And the other person complaining about the yougurt "pouring out", I really don't think it's fair to blame the business for your inability to operate machinery that most 3-year-olds are more than competent with. There's been a lot of competition for frozen yogurt in the area for the last couple years. So Fun is one of two in the area I usually go to (Red Mango being the other). I think So Fun's yogurt and toppings selection and taste is a lot better than Red Mango, but Red Mango offers smoothies which So Fun does not. The place stays open pretty late for a yogurt place in the Spring/Summer, which is nice (10PM on week nights and 11PM on the weekends). The cashiers seem to mostly be high school students but they're almost always friendly. With the exception of one or two visits (unwiped tables) the place always seems to be kept clean. It's really large inside, and there are also a few tables on their "patio" and even more benches around the fountain outside. I live pretty close to So Fun so it's my go-to yogurt place more times than not. Nothing really stands out about it but it's always been a fine experience every time I've gone. Some of the more negative reviews on here are unfair in my opinion.
