We really needed some good food while in the area for the geocaching GeoWoodstock event. We passed by this place and gave it a shot. We were not disappointed. It was so nice to relax and sit down and enjoy a good meal. I love turkey and they roast turkeys right at the restaurant according to the menu. It sure tasted good. The corn seemed to look a bit old, but it tasted good and no worries hours later (you know how that goes). The staff was very nice. If you want to take a break from ordering by value mean number and want a really nice home style meal in Warren, I highly recommend stopping here.

What a rare find! We stumbled upon the Peppermill a few years ago, in dire need of some breakfast & coffee after a long drive from I-80 across the state. We make it a regular stop now on our way to NY state. The prices are like from the 1950's and the staff is friendly and helpful. The pancakes are HUGE! Start with ordering just one! Everything we had is delicious. We love this place!

The Peppermill looks like an old school diner, although a bit larger in size. The menu has whatever you would like, within reason, so anyone should be able to find a meal. Based on my meal this week, I would return. The food is not spectacular but is solid. I am one of those people who likes Italian sausage sandwiches plain without peppers, onions, or cheese. The Peppermill offers a mild sausage sandwich that I gave a try. It came split lengthwise on a bun and had an excellent taste. Not too spicy but with enough flavor that you don't need the toppings. Of course, if you like the toppings, then go ahead and have them. The fries were nothing special but were good enough, probably frozen ones with a mild coating. Prices are not bad, so you won't leave feeling cheated. A decent stop for lunch and maybe dinner if you are looking for a larger meal.

A Friday night classic for fish. A bit greasy in a non-descript room. Customer's are always lined up for a fair meal at a fair price. Why the line? Not many choices in the area and Friday is fish night.

Meh. Greasy spoon that's really more of a breakfast spot than a restaurant.

Had the fish fry platter. Fish was pretty good, couldn't finish the whole things. French fries and onion rings were delish! My grandmother had the liver and onions and finished the whole thing (must've been good). My sister had the stuffed haddock; the stuffing was pretty awesome, but buttery. Would go back if visiting warren again. Prices were very reasonable.

It's a very popular local diner type of restaurant featuring decent food, quick services and low, low prices. It's particularly popular amongst the seniors and a great stop for those who are in a hurry to grab breakfast or a fast lunch. The wait service is efficient, friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. The food quality is better than any average diner type of restaurant and the portions are large for the price. Overall, it's a good deal and a chance to have a passable though unimpressive meal without being subjected a "chain" restaurant atmosphere.

Great for breakfast! But as for diner, well I would say 1 star!

Our party of 12 stopped in after canoeing hoping to have a nice home cooked meal. The place was recommended by a couple locals. The service was good and our food came in good time. Our meals were mediocre at best, almost like cafeteria food. This wasn't the worst place I've ever been to, the price was fair and the people were friendly the atmosphere was good. They need to pay closer attention to the quality of the food.

The one problem with smaller towns and communities is that you often find yourself at a loss when trying to do things at odd times. Apparently this includes eating breakfast on a Sunday morning if you want to do it someplace other than your home or a chain restaurant. We drove south . . . through North Warren (where our options appeared to be chain restaurants) and through the north side of Warren (still nothing). We drove around down town . . . still nothing. We were about to eat at McDonald's (because we had places to be) when we stopped in a grocery store parking lot and asked alocal guy. He recommended Bob Evans (which we passed intentionally) and Peppermill. That was an easy option. We pulled into the parking lot and grabbed the very first space on the end. It's like a diner with a decent sized dining area as well as a counter. We ordered pancakes for the kids. Each one was less than $2 and was delivered to the table in the form of a huge mouse face (one large head and two smaller ears) with blueberries for eyes and nose and a curved drizzle of foamy, melted butter for a mouth. The kids were enamoured immediately and set forth in eating the "mickey" head. They were nice a dense and they seemed to have some buckwheat, but I'm not positive on that. I ordered the meat and cheese omelet. It was just under $6 and was a thin omelet wrapped around bacon and American-style cheese. It's wasn't very large, but the egg was well cooked (and I like it thin), the bacon was crispy, and the balance of bacon to cheese was just right. It came with two slices of buttered rye bread that came to the table exactly as I ordered it . . . nice and dark but not burned. Hubby ordered the egg, pancake, and sausage combo. He thought everything was really good. The coffee was tasty and the servers kept the cups full and it never got cold. We will definitely be back.

My parents would always take us here when we were kids. After karate and softball practices. This is a family owned restaurant and it's actually really good despite being in a small town or not. The waiter service is excellent, always on point. You can fill up your own drinks and seriously, they have the best chicken fingers basket ever here. And the best ranch. I hate going to restaurants and ordering ranch and it tastes like ass. There is fake ranch, bad ranch, decent ranch and legit ranch. This stuff is legit. The atmosphere is very nice. Again, I grew up in these parts so I always run into people I know. The price is cheap and as you pay, they have York Peppermint Patties. Kind of a trademark for my Dad and I.
