2.5 stars: Cool space, the Bruschetta was ok, as was the Carbonara. The burger was a low quality meat, but the bun and toppings were decent. The Caesar salad was unique how it was served, although I wasn't impressed at all with the dressing or croutons (tasted store bought), and I found a big brown leaf of romaine underneath. Also, the service was a bit slow; the waitress seemed to be doing just the bare minimum to serve us. It was my first time, but my boyfriend was there previously and had a better experience. Not sure if I'd go back.

Unexpected gem in Tunkhannock! The name "cafe" almost threw us off because we were looking for a nice place for a special dinner but Twigs has a range of cafe meals (and prices) to fine dining entrées. It was delicious! It was not salty at all. The helpings were generous. Substitutions were made for diet restrictions. I would definitely visit again.

TWIGS I LOVE YOU, and I want to love all the Twigs burgers, BUT every time I eat one I am insatiably thirsty for two days and feel like crap! No matter how much water I drink I'm still so thirsty. Last Sunday my boyfriend and I both had burgers and both so thirsty and crappy feeling. My only conclusion is MSG- but I do not say this as fact ....,, but it's concentrated salt - what else could it be Please please please make super fresh organic beef or Bison burgers would be even better Lot of love

Went and got their take out for Philly Cheesesteak served with a burger bun. It was very good, and a bit greasy, which is also, what you would expect from a typical good one. They had onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms on it. It was served with kettle chips, which was more or less, pretty good as well. Overall, very good and tasty, and not expensive at all.

Everytime I go to Twigs I leave happy. The food here is surprisingly good for the Tunkhannock area, and their menu is unique. They serve modern American food, and in general almost all of it is good (though a little pricey for the area). I would highly recommend it for a business dinner or date night. The highlights for me on their menu are their salads and their burgers/fries. The entrees are a little overpriced in my opinion, but definitely still worth getting if you're not so concerned about budget. Their fries are the bomb dot com! I always want more after I'm done eating them. haha The service here is hit or miss, especially if you're here with a large group. Make sure you call and put your lunch order in ahead of getting there if you have a large group and you're trying to get in and out in less than an hour. Overall, a great restaurant, especially for Tunkhannock!

So disappointed. In Tunkhannock for the first time. Came into Twigs and while we didn't know reservations should have been made. We said table for two and got taken to the back to a table in the hallway by the kitchen and below the stairs to the empty pub. We asked for a different table and were told you had to have reservations. We asked if there was anywhere else we can sit and she kindly says the pub, where there is nobody, including a bartender or patrons. As the manager sits at a nice high top in the restaurant that we would have been happy to sit at. Sorry but we are out of here. Victoria was very nice though. And the 3$ beer was a good deal as well. Sorry Twigs thumbs down..

When I'm in Tunkhannock I make sure to stop into Twigs and grad a bite too eat. Excellent service, a wonderful atmosphere, and fabulous food!

They have some nice vegetarian selections which I appreciate. The atmosphere is beautiful and on the right day of the week, there are plenty of little shops and antiquing in the area within walking distance. I've found that must of these places are closed on Sundays which I find odd. Twigs is maybe a teensy bit expensive for the area but a great place to celebrate a special occasion.

Likely best food around. I've tried the stuffed salmon, seared scallops, and crab cakes. All were great. Service is friendly but a few lapses. Local craft beers and Nimble Hill wines.

I have been coming here for years and I have always liked the food. Lunch is very good and the dinners I have had are excellent. I have just come for burgers too. It is a very nice place to sit down with friends and/or family. Their service is not terribly fast as many reviews have pointed out. This does allow you some time to put your phone away and converse. If you even remember that's like. I will continue to come back for Good food and a good time with friends

Used to be great but has gone down hill lately. Chips were soggy I received the wrong beer blue moon instead of local nimble hill I ordered. My wife's food was cold don't even want to bother to write anymore spoke with a local who said it is hit and miss anymore which means go somewhere else why risk it.

I was in Tunkhannock to coach a Little League game on Saturday. I have always heard great things about Twigs so I thought I'd give it a try. We had a party of three and opted to eat at the tables on the street outside. It was a beautiful day with a slight breeze and I found it very enjoyable. We ordered some drinks and bruschetta as an appetizer. The bruschetta was delicious! It had warm melted cheese on top and was a good sized portion for 3 people. I ordered the pork tacos for my meal. I traded one for a fish taco someone else had ordered. They were both delicious but the fish tacos were so excellent! Perfect food to eat outside in the sun. I very much enjoyed Twigs, and it has found a great spot in the quiet town of Tunkhannock.

Stopped in for lunch to this cool little spot. The atmosphere and service were great. I had a cup of the baked onion soup that was supposed to have beef in it but was delicious non the less. The Greek chicken salad was thoughtfully put together and tasted great, especially the mixed greens instead of the usual romain pieces. The sad part was the rubbery microwaved fake chicken sitting on top of an otherwise excellent salad. What a shame.

Absolutely love this restaurant!! We have property in the area and every visit we have to do at least one trip to Twigg's! My family has ordered a few of the seafood dishes and all have been great. The mozzarella panini is a favorite of mine and my sisters. Today I ordered the tomato florentine soup and it is the best!! Love the atmosphere too!!

The concierge at my hotel recommended this restaurant. She must've really hated me because my meal here was just awful. Ordered a hamburger and fries. Hamburger was tasteless and the bun was a greasy mess. And the fries, way too much salt. And what is it about restaurants in this area? I have read your menu for over 10 minutes before you approach me, I'm ready to order and all you want to do is give me a drink. Take my order, I'm waiting long enough! And then it takes forever to get your food. I wasted an hour in this place for an overpriced burger I couldn't even eat half of it because it was so nasty.

We have been here several times and we have never been disappointed. Their food is always freshly prepared and very tasty. The atmosphere is quaint, friendly and a bit artsy-classy which we love. The place is clean and service is good. I LOVE their salted caramel martini!!! I am looking forward to trying their other specialty cocktails. The price is up there but we believe it is worth it since the food is so good.

Another great trip to this wonderful place. And once again everything was terrific. Our tabled had panini's, hamburger, pasta and seafood. Everyone was pleased with their meals. And as always great soups!

Quaint place with great atmosphere, the panini's are great, love the monte cristo as well, and the salmon salad is also wonderful. Although, we were not impressed with the portion of the sides with the steak dinner last time we were there considering the dinner prices. I don't mind paying $$$ if I get my money worth, but my husband got a few green beans and less than an ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes. Our server was also horrible, forgot drinks, brought out my dessert and it was still frozen in the middle, and forgot to bring my husbands. I've had good experiences and bad experiences here. My last trip for lunch with a girlfriend, the food was great so were the drinks, but the server rushed us out once we finished eating.

Had a dinner with friends and as usual, it was delicious food done well, Excellent server, Alexis, who was attentive but not too much. I have been here numerous times and the food has been terrific with very good service! Great job, Twigs! And the decor is very well done, interesting and eye catching! I especially like the upstairs room which is quieter and conducive to conversation!

Not really sure where to start. The service was poor, to begin with, though that is the least of the issues with this place. Chefs in white coats walking through the dining area to reach storage, awkward layout, and confused/cluttered interior design. As for the food: you can't call it a cafe, as the coffee drinks are from a single-button pre-mixed, over-sweetened mix (think Sheetz gas station), not made in-house like a decent espresso/latte/cappuccino should be. The food was terrible. I ordered a reuben in the hopes that something simple would be an improvement on the soup that tasted like canned progresso soup. Somehow, it tasted both stale and soggy. It was clear that the ingredients had been sitting around for some time, and were likely the cheapest available to begin with. Do yourself a favor: there's a perfectly good cafe just down the street if you want sandwiches/soups or good coffee drinks, and a newly opened fine dining establishment just past that with a nicer (and somehow less expensive) menu. This place is garbage, and is an insult to consumers for charging so much for such poor quality.

A great restaurant that is worth the drive. Be sure to call in advance though and make a reservation. It gets quite busy most nights of the week. The great food makes up for the wait time though. A very friendly staff and a restaurant with a great customer loyalty program. If you enter your email address on their website they will send you a $10 off coupon on your anniversary and birthday.

Lack of competent waitstaff (or perhaps understaffing) takes away from what could otherwise be a gem. Food is decent, some creative salads and wide selection.

Twig's is one of my all-time favorites, especially in NEPA! I have been coming here for years and I cannot honestly remember a time when I had a bad experience. If I remember correctly, you have to ask for the bread which to me seems to trivial in the big scheme of a thriving business. Some of my personal favorites Twig's seafood bisque and French onion soup, black & bleu burger, chicken francaise with delish mashed potatoes and the choc-a-bloc scampi! Nothing caps off a meal quite like Twig's chai tea latte or milkshake - or both. Prices are reasonable for Tunkhannock considering portion size and quality of the food, the service is always top-notch as well. In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with an evening (or lunch!) at Twig's.

Very nice dinner and good service. My wife and I split a calamari appetizer and we both ate their pork-mignon special with a black bean salsa topping. Nice atmosphere and a "hidden" bar in the back make this a must try.

This has been my favorite restaurant for the last 6.5 years. In the earlier years when I would go--the Caesar salad was better, but everything else has stayed the same. I love the Maine scampi and the crab bisque for dinner. The salmon salad is a great choice for lunch. Don't forget a blonde for dessert! Victoria is the best waitress they have and she makes a mean Raspberry Long Island. I relocated to the West Coast about a year and a half ago--I always make the 50 min (!) drive from where my parents live when I'm here to visit. Also, I almost forgot--the crab dip for an appetizer isn't too bad either!

We've enjoyed many good meals here in the past 2 years or so. Food has always been quite good, though tonite it wasn't quite on par with our experience and the service definitely isn't as consistent as we'd hope. Waiting way too long to clear dishes and table detritus. Two of us had the peach and chicken salad which in the past has been delectable but tonight was very - well - it was nothing special. Peaches were no where near ripe so virtually tasteless and the chicken didnt have much flavor at all. On the other hand the bistro steak my wife had and the Reuben and the French onion soup were all excellent. We'll be back cause we know they're capable of making a real nice dining experience. But they need to keep the staff on their toes.

The only reason this place got two stars was because I fear it's probably the best option in Tunkhannock. Basically.... It was a glorified TGIFridays but worse. Nothing was fresh. The asparagus was cooked so badly you couldn't bite it. The burgers looked like they were bought at Costco. The fish was most definitely frozen. We went with a group of 10 & our server couldn't have been friendlier. He accommodated a food allergy & split our checks. But good service or not, we won't be coming back. Call us 'city folk' with too High expectations. That's not it (although the 'city folk' part is right). But I do expect to enjoy a well-made fresh meal (especially for $21.95) no matter where I'm visiting. This was NOT it.

Service was slow, when I got my plate it accounted for it. The food was great made in house and all tasted very fresh. Will definitely be returning.

I've had lunch here a bunch of times when I am passing through Tunkhannock. The sandwiches are great. I was also there for a special martini night. That was a special night. They created some amazing new martinis that left us speechless. They had different small plates that went with each martini. They were all great. A lot of creativity at this place, something you don't see a lot of around this town.

Pretty nice place, cozy and quaint. Food and service are inconsistent. Many years ago I had a delicious sandwich and a lime milkshake from this place, and the only reason I had not returned sooner is that Twigs isn't exactly in my neighborhood. Our particular server was great - but we witnessed atrocious service at all three tables around us on the "upper level." Like, really bad. One table was full of dishes waiting to be cleared from the time we were seated until we left. Another table got their check, paid it, and were presented with the same check again a while later. The other table had menu questions and none of them could be answered. (This was all with regard to the same server, thankfully ours was cordial and well-informed). The food.. well.. it was OK. The burger we chose was large in size but average in flavor. Pasta dishes are offered with standard or wheat pasta. I believe my dish was a special that evening, but I chose wheat pasta and it turned out to be a bad idea... the flavor dominated the dish, and the pasta itself was overcooked. I'd return to Twigs, but wouldn't make a special trip just to eat there.

I just had such an amazing meal here. I ordered the special chicken dish. It was served with a sun dried tomato cream sauce with spinach and the most delicious mashed potatoes. I paired it with a glass of house Cabernet which was poured generously. The ambiance was perfect too. I felt like I was at a friends house eating a home cooked meal...Dark with books along the walls and eclectic art. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgable about the menu. Simply a lovely meal in a place with character. I couldn't have asked for more.

The reviews on Yelp make this seem like a bad place. I thought the food was good, and the decor was great. The waitress was prompt, however the food arrival was a bit slow. The homemade chips with each sandwich was a nice touch. And there's something about the iced tea which was very good.

The food is usually good. It is always busy when we come here and you always have to wait. This time I got sashimi tuna on salad. When I got it, it was full of fibrous tissue, and really inedible. I have to say, the response was not sympathetic--pretty much "that's what happens." I had to wait for another entree and nothing was taken off our bill. This was a very disappointing trip.

I have gone on a few fancy dates here. The food is pretty good. Prices are reasonable. Here is the bad experience that makes me give the place one star & why I will never go back: My date and I went to get a bit before seeing a movie downtown. We were seated next to a wall covered in marker drawings & had a long wait for our waiter, then a long wait for our food. As I looked at the wall I thought, how cool & fun that they allowed visitors to draw on that wall - so I added a tiny picture of a cat. Immediately a different waitress swooped down on me saying that the wall was only for people who have paid to draw on it - a fact I had missed because there is absolutely no indication whatsoever of this on the wall, menu, or anywhere else. I was then told that the minimum donation for drawing on the wall was TWENTY dollars CASH, and given a form to fill out so I could make "the appropriate donation." I was of course mortified... and sat in shock looking at the paper and at my date who was obviously very embarrassed for me. We did not bring enough cash to make this kind of mistake and still go to the movies! We sat in silence for about twenty awkward minutes. I took my food to go because my appetite was totally gone. I was almost crying & panicked by the time my original waitress came back and thought to mention it was okay for us to make a smaller donation. I didn't want to take it out of her cash tip so it ended up only being a few dollars... I am too mortified to return to Twigs. I would give anything to be able to wipe that stupid cat off the wall and pretend this had never happened. At least the date worked out - we're engaged now.

I asked for some direction on where to eat in town and I was directed here. I'm not sure how it's anybody's favorite place to eat as the service was pretty lame and the food wasn't all that great for the price. The restaurant has a nice layout and looks pleasant, but I wish the food matched the environment. I clearly had a bad waiter, and this is a sample of one, but this was a rough first impression. The asparagus looked (and tasted) odd and the steak was chewy and for the first half of it, very tough to cut as my waiter forgot to bring me a steak knife and didn't make rounds til I was almost done hacking away at it with a butter knife. Either way, I don't see myself wandering back here, unless it's a Sunday, or Monday evening when everything else in town seems to be closed.

Sorry to be a hater but the food here is lousy. When the waitress tells you to be careful because the plate is really hot when you ordered a turkey sandwich you know it was heated in a microwave. Tasted like a microwaved sandwich, too. Awful. The "chicken breast" on another sandwich we ordered was one of those rubbery fake shaped chicken breast with phony grill marks on it. Also heated in a microwave along with the other toppings. Nasty. The servers were fine. Not their fault. But the food here is terrible. I've had far better meals on an airplane. Sorry Twigs. Throw out the microwave and get a cook in there.

Fantastic atmosphere. Great food. Friendly service. I gave our waitress a double tip that I saved last night at Season's. We went back a second time and it was as good as the first. Best restaurant in town.

I want to like this place. I've been a handful of times when visiting my parents. Unfortunately, the food is just meh. It's fairly average - nothing exciting. The baked onion soup was good, but they served it in a tall mug, which made it really hard to eat. I think if they paid just a little more attention to detail, the restaurant could be really good.
