For what it is- this place is great. I come here quite often with friends and family, and it's the perfect lively atmosphere to catch up with one another and share a few drinks. The service has always been nothing but friendly and well-accommodating. The food may be just average, but it's pretty tasty if you're just looking for something to munch on or to enjoy a casual dinner. Oh, and if you don't order garlic ranch for your fries you're missing out.

I guess they worked their "bad service" out because this is a wonderful place and had a great service from Jeff. I ordered the French Onion Soup, a House CheeseSteak and a 16 Oz. blue moon and got everything under ten minutes. The soup was outstanding and the melted mozzarella on top just makes it delicious, add a few drops of tabasco sauce for that awesome spicyness and you are good to go! Really good bread on the cheeseteak and the mix of the steak with bacon and the sauteéd onions, mushrooms and bellpeppers just makes it really enjoyable, the side of hand made potato chips is a crispy sensation. Great price for a great experience, thank you for your hard work 1760 Pub N' Grill. I am definitely returning before heading back to Tijuana BC, México. PS: Jeff, enjoy your honeymoon in Cabo.

4 stars as a neighborhood pub. I've been here many many times. The interior design is very nice. It is a historic building but looks contemporary inside. It is comfortable and there's usually a good mix of people. It is a great place for having a few drinks with friends or dinner with the family. I think that the food is slightly above average and the prices are reasonable. We usually order the wings and I like the wedge salad (see pic). Service is also good. This place is a good choice if you are in the neighborhood.

It's probably time you check yourself if you give this place only one star because "there was a monster truck parked in the handicapped space" or because the waitress "put a tomato on my burger after I clearly ordered it without". Better ease back and get a grip because sometimes Monster truck drivers can be assholes and waitresses often make mistakes when starting their careers in moderately priced establishments. Seriously, who goes to the 'net to vent about a tomato they did not want? Bottom line - this is a great place to watch a game, eat with kids or grab a beer. Quality food and very reasonably priced.

Good prices and good atmosphere. We sat outside because it was nice weather, waitress was nice too and recommended a cheesesteak. Will return

I loved this place on first visit. Second...well food was ok. I had a bad tip on how to order something from bartender. She really messed it up. It was ok. For this area this is a cool place. There is not much around as far as little nooks and crannies for great food. Must travel for this.

I wish I could rate this one separately for food and service. The service is terrible but the food is amazing. I live close so I go often. Every waiter or waitress has been nothing short of awful. The food, especially the wings makes it worth it. The boneless wings are the best if have ever had.

The place is beautiful inside, stone walls and exposed wood beams makes it feel like you're definitely in a pub built in 1760. Unfortunately, the menu doesn't seem to have been updated since then. Nothing out-of-the-ordinary as far as bar food is concerned but they do have a decent beer selection. I ordered the nachos, in part because nothing else sounded very appetizing, and they were ok. One thing that irked me is they were set up like a chef's salad; every topping sectioned out which made for a difficult time when eating. The service was very good and the atmosphere was as well, will probably be back for a second go.

Probably like Kelli R., I've driven by many times, and keep meaning to stop and explore. Finally made the visit this evening, to grab dinner with the kids. Great experience! Good sized sports bar section - several TVs, good space with high-top tables, and a decent-size bar. One passes through here to get to the dining areas, where we landed. Across the group, we sampled burgers, a philly cheese sandwich, wings, fries, and the onion rings. Thumbs up on everything. Pricing is very reasonable. This combination will bring us back. Parking was about 75% taken, and there was plenty of room - no wait. There is a satellite lot across the street, with a marked crosswalk and signs to remind drivers of the requirement to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk [not that most drivers heed this direction, generally speaking]. My burger was order medium rare, and came as promised. Nothing fancy, but definitely tasty. Beer-battered onion rings were a bit soft, in some cases, but only because the balance between onion and batter was skewed to the onion. Wings were pretty good. Not many drumsticks in our 20. The Old Bay - a dry rub, almost like an all-purpose grill seasoning - was good. Friendly service, though a bit slow but not for a lack of servers. I gather they're anticipating that most customers are coming to hang out. I suspect if we had mentioned to our waitress, Amanda, that we were in a hurry, that she would have visited more frequently. The waiting was mostly on the back-end - getting the drinks, wings, and orders, went fairly quickly. We'll be back.

Pleasantly surprised. Stopped in on a Monday and started with a cup of Corn Chowder. With a little Salt & Pepper it was good. For lunch I got a House Cheesesteak. They mixed Bacon, peppers & mushrooms into the meat and that gave it a nice flavor. All and all enjoyable.

Our family stopped in for dinner it was pretty busy for a Friday night. We were seated within minutes near the fire place. The waitress was great, told us the food specials and drink specials. We ordered our children's food first along with an appetizer of buffalo wings. After a while another waitress brought us our dinners. Both of them completely wrong, my husband ordered a steak medium well, garlic bread and fries. My order was a mushroom burger. This should not be too difficult right? After sending it back thinking they brought the wrong order to the table expecting them to just bring the right order instead. The waitress told us the order was wrong and they needed to make it over... ok... The next order was wrong AGAIN, the cook could not get our order correct, we left without eating dinner and really upset. The other thing that bothered me was the HUGE monster truck parked in the handicap parking area... There was plenty of room in the parking lot for it not to be blocking access for wheelchairs and walkers.

Halloween. Friday night. 6pm. 10/31/2014. No line. Bar seats (our preferred seating) was full. We took a booth in the main seating area. About half full. We would expect the crowd to grow. Service was good. All the staff were in Halloween costumes. My beer was as expected, perfect (lol), but a mixed drink from the specials menu was awful. The waitress swapped it out right away without any issue. Their menu is scant and made up of very simple bar food: burgers, fries, apps and cheesesteaks. They have nightly dinner specials that are a little more creative. French onion soup was delicious. We stuck with the usual stuff. All good. I think what makes me really like this place is the staff. Friendly, smiling, helpful and ready to do a good job. The large bar area is TV sports orientated (I ignore those) and they run trivia on some of the TVs that you can play from your phone (I love those). Will definitely go back.

Get the WINGS! Extra crispy is the way to go...some of the best in town! Beer specials and tons of TVs makes this a great place to catch the game

GO HERE. SERIOUSLY. The restaurant aspect is delicious, but the bar is my favorite. Great place to go for a drink with some friends and to watch the game.

Good news, Bad news. Good news...plenty of tv's, great beer selection, nice atmosphere (can be at the bar or sit in the back where its quiet. Nice outdoor seating, but there is a lot of traffic (nothing they can do about that) Bad news...food is awful. I wouldn't eat here if you paid me.

This place was a serious disappointment. I'm giving them 2 stars for having a nice deck to dine on and a draft list that includes Curious Traveler. I would not recommend the food here. The menu is tiny and nothing that we ordered was good. If you are a vegetarian, be prepared to leave drunk and hungry! If you want to sit on the deck and car watch with a drink, go...otherwise go somewhere else.

Great staff and quality food. Love the atmosphere of a sports bar yet there is a great social side to it that keeps it balanced and a fun place to hang out. Ribs are the best my husband has had but don't tell my father who claims his are!!

Service was slow, but food is very good. Especially enjoyed the bruschetta! Wings are also delicious. They do pub food well! A good bar/pub environment.

I came here Saturday afternoon to watch the Penn State game with my dad. We sat at the bar and were quickly greeted and offered drinks (nice!) by the bartender. There were some rowdy Penn State fans there yelling at one of the many TVs all around the bar area (there were A LOT of TVs). I ordered a California BLT Chicken Cheesesteak. It took a significant while for it to come out of the kitchen. My dad started joking that the kitchen staff must be on break because it took so long. We didn't really worry too much about it though, since we weren't in a rush and were entertained watching the game (although PSU was losing pretty badly at this point). When the food came, it was piping hot and fresh. The cheesesteak was decent, although I have had better. I can't even believe that I am saying this, but the bacon was not a good addition to the typical California Cheesesteak that most other places offer, it was the only thing that I could taste, so it overwhelmed all the other flavors in the sub. The meal also came with homemade chips, which I wasn't really interested in, but ended up tasting pretty good. After dinner, i got another beer to drown my sorrows as I watched the tail end of the game -- they had plenty of unique beer options here in addition to your normal basics -- I got the Big Gruesome Chocolate Peanut Butter Stout from Spring House Brewing Company (a PA craft brew). It was really good - I am still dreaming about it days later! , this place had a good atmosphere, good bartenders, good beverage offerings, and semi-decent food. Bottom Line:

I'm convinced that there are no good restaurants in PA. Every single one I've been to has been just awful, and 1760 is no exception to that rule. The food and service was absolutely the worst. Our server took our orders, and then disappeared off into oblivion. She came back some time later with our appetizers, and no sooner than we dug into those she was pushing entrees on the table. We hadn't even gotten halfway through our appetizers. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and specified, "No tomatoes." When the sandwich was brought, it had them on there, so I had to send it back. Get this, the server asks me, "Oh, you didn't want tomatoes?" Well, how about you tell me. You're the server who took the order. So either you weren't listening, or you simply forgot by the time you got from our table with the order to the kitchen to place it. After bringing out the sandwich the correct way, she proceeds to disappear again. The food was terrible. Greasy and bland were the forerunners of flavor. Needless-to-say, not one of us finished our food. As we all sit around with half eaten food, not once do we see the server. It was probably a good twenty minutes later that she finally came to check on us. When we tell her we're all done she doesn't question that none of the plates are empty. She just takes the credit card, and completes the transaction. Overall, it was horrible food coupled with horrible, inattentive service. Won't be back.

Worst pub food ever. Taco salad tasted like the meat had been sitting around forever, my husband's chili tasted like they opened up a can of Hornel, my ceaser salad had absolutely no taste and the salad was wilted and my sons boneless chicken wings were just glorified frozen chicken nuggets, that were seriously over priced. Never going back again.

Wow ,by far some of the best wings I have ever eaten...I will become a regular there .

A group of us stopped here for lunch. The others had been here before, but it was my first time. They had a couple of lunch specials, one of which was a taco. The waitress warned us before we ordered that it was huge, but I didn't appreciate her comment until it came out, about a foot long, filling up a dinner platter! A homemade crispy taco loaded with meat and typical taco toppings including salsa, sour cream and guacamole, which couldn't have been any better unless I made it myself. This was a meal plus and all for only $5. They have quite a few craft beers on tap. The service was excellent, although I must admit the place was not crowded. Would definitely return here again.

Food was good, drinks not too pricey and service excellent. Will be going back. Ordered house fries and the portion was large enough for two. Entree came too quick however, as we didn't get to finish our appetizer first. I got the steak sandwich and it was decent, not mind blowing. Friend got the nachos which was a good size for the price.

This was our first time here and we had a great time. Went here with a couple of friends and our 2 kids. The food was all very good and the service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back. Standard pub food and the wings were excellent!

Waitress was great. Thought is was weak when told if I wanted some tomatoes on my cheese steak it would be another charge. Felt like I was in the Movie "A Christmas Carol" when Scrooge asked for more bread an waiter said " that be extra sir " ! LOL. Good beer and lots of TVs. Kinda Loud but after all its really a sport bar so it is what it is.

I ate on the bar side one weekend when I was passing through, and ordered one of the grinders. It was DELICIOUS. Will definitely go there again. It's not 4-star cuisine, and doesn't intend to be. It's great bar food and reasonably priced.

Stopped here for dinner since it's about one minute from my house and I had never been here before. The parking lot was packed so we almost didn't stop. There was an event in a party room so the parking lot was deceiving. This place is really big with a full bar, dining room and party area. I ordered a burger (there's a surprise!) which was very good, roll was good and the burger was juicy and just the right temperature. I was disappointed in the fresh cut beer battered fries, hence the 3 stars - I prefer regular fresh cut fries sans the beer batter. My friend had boneless wings which he reported were quite good. Server was extremely helpful and attentive. Dining room was clean and bright. There were also tables outside. I'll be back!

Nice place, great history and good food, however when you check it out DO NOT get Monique as a waitress. What could have been a 45 min to an hour turned into 2 1/2 hours. For each time she was at our table every other waitress was at theirs 4-5 times. Nice girl but wrong job for her. Waiting 15 minutes, not over exaggerating, for a beer is entirely too long. Again though, the place is great: good food, good drinks, good specials. Will return again with a different waitress!

Went on a Monday night for $4 cheese steaks. They were real good and not skimpy on the meat. Waitresses was nice and efficient too.

Good wings and bar menu. Outside area to eat or drink. Lots of TV's. I can't speak to dinner menu or dining service as we ate in the bar, but service there was fine and fast.

My husband and children have dined here a few times now, so I can honestly say that 1760 does pub food well. First, their wait staff is super attentive and friendly. Second, their burgers are awesome, and third, the ambiance, with loads of TV's and a fun playroom in the back, make this a great family spot. Don't expect creative, fancy fare here. Come for what they do best - good traditional pub food and a great atmosphere. Sports fans will love it for sure.

  • Chris S.

Service is great. Clean with a fair drink selection. Food is just ok though. Nothing ever stands out as delicious when I go there. The wings are the only thing I've had so far that are decent, but I've had much better at other restaurants.

Don't get out to the bars very often anymore, but I decided to try this place when a few friends were visiting. We were all satisfied with the food, drinks, and service. Nothing mind-blowing, but it was a pleasant experience. I would go back. The atmosphere is somewhat unique and pretty nice.

Located on the corner of Hamilton Blvd. and Trexlertown Rd (formerly Rt 100), this is the newest owner of this particular restaurant (formerly Max Regal) location. A cross between simple and colonial decor, they finally have booths back. I found the menu to be limited and food average. Two Buffalo wing connoisseurs found the hottest wings to be only mild, with no kick. They do have a bar, that serves a fabulous Chocolate Covered Banana martini (one reason why I'd return). I did find the prices reasonable and the service to be quite good.

Slow service, but the food was good. IT took about 40 minutes for two taco salads, and a chicken wrap, and this was when the room was half full. I guess these days you can't always have both.

EXPERIENCE ONE: 2 bartenders. 1 me. 930pm on Thursday night. got a quesadilla which was huge in portion but suckish in taste. tasted like hormel canned chili inside. EXPERIENCE TWO: karaoke night for the tone deaf is fun! the food still iffy...

Good bar food, nice atmosphere. We had wings that were crispy and cooked just right. Also we both had cheesesteaks, meat was pretty good quality, and not greasy at all. Roll they used didn't fall apart or get soggy. Will come back and try other items on the menu.

My husband and I frequent 1760 whenever we can. Prices are a bit high for us, but the food is awesome! He usually gets the wings or burgers and I go for the entrees, my favorite being the BBQ chicken with baked potato and corn...yummy. Their mixed drinks are also very good, and I am not a huge fan of alcohol. Have tried their seasonal ones and have not been disappointed. They do get noisy when the bar is full, but that is to be expected. Overall and fun atmosphere and great staff!

  • Layton D.

Food was ok - waitstaff was exceptionally attentive and friendly. The evening we were there was very noisy - lots of families with kids. If you're looking for a quiet meal, this may not be the place for you. Otherwise, not a bad choice.

On a road trip we used Yelp to locate a restaurant with decent reviews that was on our route and agreed upon the 1760 Pub N Grille. Like a lot of inns in the suburbs of the historic Philadelphia region, this place has probably gone through a lot of iterations to its current state of a loud sports bar. We would have definitely preferred it without the dozen super-sized flat screens and bumpin' Top 40 but I am going to forgive the atmosphere to tell you about one of the best dinner values I've ever had. We had been traveling all day with nothing but Rest Stop food options and we wanted something real. I took a chance on a $14 New York Strip Steak that included two side choices. I selected onion rings and a baked potato and ordered the steak medium rare. The plate came out loaded with a giant pile of freshly sliced onion rings with a special sauce and a massive baked potato that included real butter and sour cream. The right-sized cut seared with crosshatched grill marks was elegantly positioned on a few spears of asparagus. It looked great but it tasted better, perfectly cooked at the temperature ordered. Seriously, this was one of the best strip steak dinners I had ever had (not counting when my wife grills em up out back). I thought I recalled that the menu priced my entrée at $14 but, mid-meal, I thought that couldn't be right. Our server was amused when I asked to see the menu while eating and laughed further when I confirmed the price. "Well, don't tell them," she confided. My wife had a simple BBQ chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato and onion that was served with exceptional French fries on a freshly baked roll. The beer and wine lists were above average with about ten crafts on tap although our original selections from the list were not available. The worst thing I can say about this visit is a bit odd and certainly not an easy fix for the pub but I have to say it anyway following a few beers... the urinals in the mens room are awkwardly close to one another. Some other fellow and I actually touched shoulders while returning our rented beer but the steak experience more than made up for it all. We'd paid $50+ for a couple of sandwiches and beers at lunch in Vermont but got out of 1760 Pub for a little more than $30. If you're traveling on Route 100 you'll miss this spot unless you make an easy detour that you will not regret.

Great place to watch the March Madness bball games. Good crowd, friendly staff, great beer choices and food. I recommend.

Everytime I have been in here I get sick afterwards! I don't know what it is with their food, but I also end up having a horrible stomach ache and last night I vomited in the middle of the night. Even if I get different foods, I still get a stomach ache from this restaurant. The atmosphere is nice though, but it's a shame I can't go anymore due to the food.

This pub is great for Monday Night football. Everything you need to have a great time. Top notch wings, good beer specials and TV's from every angle. Our fantasy football team meets up there occasionally to get out of the house to watch the game. The place was formerly Max Regals and the new management did a good job with the renovation. Overall good vibe. If you looking for a little more atmosphere than your local Applebees I recommend you give it a try. Go Patriots!
