stopped on the way home from a day trip today and had a very nice personal Stromboli. they use quality ingredients and servings are generous. the barmaids and servers were as usual courteous, friendly and attentive. the atmosphere is great with a mixed age crowd. the only thing to me keeping it from five stars is a limited assortment of on tap beers.

Great burgers! The pretzels mozzarella sticks were good too. We did have to wait 30 minutes for a table and there's not a lot of room in the waiting area. But the food was worth it.

Enjoyed my 1st visit there (on Wed evening)! Love the ambiance, speed of service, and efficiency of the waitress, and speed of checking out. I had mashed potato chicken bowl. Will come back again!

My wife and I have been here three times and the White Palms never ceases to impress. The menu has plenty of selections of not just regular pub fare but also Latin American choices. On this last visit we split an order of sweet potato fries (my wife has an addiction). I had a jerk shrimp salad and my wife had a garden salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was an sliced lengthwise into three 1/4" slices and grilled, which made for an attractive presentation (just a $2 salad add-on). Decaf coffee was fresh (which is somewhat rare for any old tavern on a Saturday night) and enjoyable. My wife liked their iced tea. The chocolate cake with peanut butter icing ($4) is terrific. A lot of value for the dollar spent. They have WiFi but you'll have to ask your server for the current password. One *minor* complaint is that none of the booths or chairs in the dining room have cushions, which doesn't encourage you to linger...

I love the firecracker salad...French fries on a salad? Yes please. This is nice place in Topton. I've had a few of their sandwiches and all were good, large portions. I do not care for their homemade chips, but with fries on my salad who needs them.

Being able to walk here is a huge plus for starters. The interior is actually very nice. The outside dining area is well designed also. The menu in my opinion is unique for bumble-nowhere topton. I mean literally Topton is surrounded my farms. So anyways, the menu is refreshing due to its unique selection of food. I had a wrap with a side of homemade potatoe chips. It was tasty, a nice portion. The food here overall is good quality. The last time I was here though service was very slow.... we sat for about an hour before we got our food. Overall a good place.

This place is a gem in the rough! Really refreshing menu and decor. Makes you almost feel like you've left pa. We got beer samplers, which were good, but we would have liked a tad more variety. I got a build your own pretzel Stromboli and oh my yum!!! It was soooo good!! My bf got a cuban sandwich and he loved it. We loved the special sauces on the table! We will definitely be back! The only bad thing is that they are a little small, but we fit and got a comfy table!

Very busy. This place is FANTASTIC! I had a Hawaiian burger that I can't pronounce, but it was GINORMOUS!!! And it tasted great, too! I'll be going back real soon!

This place is really a gem in the area. Prices are very cheap. I love the crab leg entree. $15! I pay $40 for that in NYC and that's without any side dish.

I took my parents (from NY) here for my mom's birthday. It was a great experience!! It was a gorgeous night so we sat outside. Great atmosphere. We shared some shrimp cocktail and mozzarella sticks (that were breaded by pretzels, wow!!! must get!!!). Then we all had a "small" salad. It was large and fresh! From there I enjoyed a lager, and the meal came. I got the short ribs. The bbq sauce was DELICIOUS. The meat was falling off the bone. I took the BBQ sauce home with me and I plan on putting it on anything I can. Mom got the perogies, and "wolfed" them down. Dad and his boring self got a sandwich. The ONLY reason I am giving this 4 stars and not 5 is the train. It is right next to the train tracks, and the train that came by was long. It went on forever while my mom was opening her present. I highly recommend this place. I will be going a LOT this summer. It's in the middle of nowhere, but I always like places like that. Fresh, delicious, affordable!!

The White Palm..in Topton..is a nice place for lunch or dinner..Great food and many selections. There is outdoor seating during the warm months. The prices are moderate. The service has always been good. The only down side is the level of noise while dining indoors. Poor acoustics..so you can hear every person's conversations... Otherwsie..a good choice for a good meal.

My husband and I went here on a Friday evening, 7ish. We sat at a high table in the bar area. Very small bar area. They allow children in that room, which I dislike. The music was so loud we could barely hear each other or our server. It did help mask the screams coming from the children so I guess that was good. Service was slow. It took no less than 30 mins for our "stuffed" tater tots to come out. We asked where they were after about 15-20 and our server said "well they take a long time because they are homemade and made to order". Yeah, I don't think so but if that is true they should probably change that practice. When we got them they were good, it was really just a GIANT cheesy tater tot. Four came with the order. Once we ate them we were too full for our meals. Which was a good thing because that took another 30 minutes to come out. We both ordered the pretzel dough stromboli. The dough was mediocre no salt so it didn't taste like a pretzel. The filling wasn't completely enclosed in the dough, it was like a pita not a stromboli. I got pulled pork, my husband got sausage. Mine wasn't good. My husband found his to be ok. The chips now I would return for the chips, they were yummy. Overall, the place was average. If the service was faster I think it would make a big difference. The prices were good.

Great little place. Different menu then the average bar/restaurant. Great island dishes and bar food with a fun twist. I give it 3 stars for the following: The back seating area chairs included looks like something out of a fire hall. The detail to appearance was paid and shows in the bar area, BEAUTIFUL bar, tables, cushioned comfortable chairs. Place always has a bar special and usually live entertainment on the weekend. I wish I could say I have never had a bad meal, and maybe this isn't fair, but I have gone to two separate wing night here and my wings were extremely undercooked both times, with the second (and last) time ordering them crispy. So, to recap this place would be about a 4.5 if it wasn't for the dated back room (maybe just fresh paint and new chairs) and awful wings. Everything else at this place is amazing!

Formerly the Topton Hotel. Eclectic appetizer, salad, & short order menu with some entree items. Breakfast / brunch menu too. Sautéed perogies with onions were superb. Al fresco, bar, and standard dining areas. Great value - diamond in the rough. Nice relaxing environment. (Recently went there early May 2015, but the outdoor seating was not set up yet.)
