Very nice and authentic Mexican restaurant. I had a guest from El Paso with me. He is of Mexican decent and commented that the food here is top notch. Very large menu with lots to choose from. I was happy to hear that he liked it too.

I like their food. It's not the best Mexican food I've had but it's very good. The chips are sometimes stale . They built an outside patio and i asked to sit out side for lunch and the girl said sorry but u can't sit outside because it's closed. I said ok well I would like to have my lunch outside because it's nice out there and she said it's closed can't sit out there. Who says no to a customer? Weird! So I left and went to Massimos and sat at their patio! They always accommodate us! That's how it should be! Over all this place is ok.

I think the name of this restaurant is Tlacuani Mexican Restaurant now. This mexican restaurant never fails. It delivers a consistent taste and cooking style. The menu is extensive and has lots of flavors. The salsa is a stand out. You can mix it up, however you prefer. A dash of salt does the trick. The service is relatively speedy if there is no crowd. Expect a few minutes wait if it is busy. The margaritas are delicious and be sure to try the different flavors. But the ultimate is definitely worth a try. My favorite entree is the chile colorado. The flavors are vivacious and there is a lot to choose from I make sure to get here with my friend at least once a month. The price is reasonable! There are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. They have live entertainment sometimes on the weekend like a mariachi band, etc. The patio also opens in the back for bar services and other accommodations during the warmer months. This is a spot worth checking out!

We have been sitting here for one hour and finally JUST GOT a cheese dip appetizer. No apology from the waitress, no manager saying they're sorry for the delay. Drinks are empty. The people that were sat AFTER us are now finished eating.

Best tacos around. Get them with the flour tortilla. The chips and salsa is fresh and unique. The service is decent. I've been eating at this place, and under the old name further down Kutztown Rd for 18 years and I'm not stopping anytime soon.

Food was great! Service was extremely poor and there was only one other table besides us!

We had a great meal at La Cocina Mexicana last Friday. Both the food and atmosphere are authentic Mexican. We love the outdoor patio and can't wait to return with our friends this Friday for great food, sangria, and a live mariachi band!

This is a wonderful and authentic Mexican restaurant located in Temple, PA. I eat here on a regular basis and like to take out of town clients here for lunch as well. The food and the service is great as well as the prices. They have an a-la-carte menu if you do not want to commit to on dish.

Wasn't sure what to do with the chips came with two sides looked like coal slaw and some brown sauce I wasn't sure was any good, afraid to try it figured at least I have chips but a lass they were stale, no lunch special on Sunday's . Meals seemed over priced so I ordered Ala cart two enchiladas, they came pretty fast but were not very good. I have been craving a good Mexican place and was disappointed! The one thing good I can say is the place looks nice, cool chairs and designed decent. The pina colada I ordered came in a big glass but lacked any real strength to it but wasn't badly priced .

Meh, it was just OK I guess. Food was passable, I liked what I ordered but my wife ordered a burrito, didn't say it came with sour cream and guacamole in the menu, but there it was in her food- and she hates them! The complimentary tortilla chips tasted stale, and the salsa paired with it was wayyy too hot, something meant for the whole table should be a little milder. I couldn't eat it. Service was pretty bad- I try never to bother servers too much cause I realize the job isn't easy, but when you come to my table three times and still don't ask if I would like more water, don't stare darts at me cause I ask you for some and you end up making two trips. All in All, I think you'd be better off down the road a bit at Alebrije.

La Cocina Mexicana is a fantastic place that my wife and I eat at at twice a month. It offers authentic Mexican food that the chain restaurants pale in comparison too. If you go, try the shrimp cocktail. It's the Mexican take on a traditional appetizer and is well worth it!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
