Food was excellent. Lots of options, and reasonably priced. Friendly and fast service. Good ambiance and good for a date night out a night out with the whole family.

Very good food, but the service is VERY spotty. Recommend the Turtle Bites. The Hot Honey Garlic sauce is a personal favorite. They charge a 25 cent "take out fee" PER ITEM, which is absolutely absurd, so be aware if ordering and plan on picking up your food.

We have been to over a dozen wing places in north east pa and we find some fantastic wings and we find terrible ones. Tipsy turtle was the worst wing and snack food. The only thing we liked was the tortia covered with stuff and the cheese sauce. If you have the time and a little extra cash I highly recommend Buffalo Wild Wing. There food and atmosphere is second to none, Great for groups, kids. and everything else but if you really want to eat on a budget I would go to THE PATCH Bar in Dunmore. It has the best service, food, clenlieness and all the help and the costomers were the best. They make you feel like you have been coming for years Stop bye there and you will not be disappointed. Buy the way--get the hot bbq wings and the hot pepper stuffed perogi.

I need to aplogize to Tipsy Turtle in Swoyersville, i gave them the wrong review, the food was delicious, the service was great, and the waitress was sweet. I gave them a review for the other tipsy turtle on Market Street. I would like to apologize to swoyersville. I will go ahead and move that bad review to the ones that deserve it. I am sorry.

The tipsy turtle is the best. There food is always fresh I've never had a bad meal also the beer menu is always changing they have 25 taps on . You can't go wrong with there bits. The staff is always friendly and will treat you like you belong.

I've been to 'The Turtle' many, many times, and it's a very cool place to take a first date, coworkers, family. There's a large bar in one area, and then a large dining room in another area. You can eat at the bar, or drink in the dining area. Nice. Versatile. However, Tipsy Turtle has some of the best wings in the area which is my main reason for frequenting the establishment. I've had several of their wing sauces, but my favorites are 'wet cajun' and 'garlic parmesan'. Another decadent choice is the 'fry guys' which is a huge amount of fries which are batter-dipped and then tossed with your favorite wing sauce. Their burgers and sandwiches are great, too, and I've tasted a few other items, but when I crave wings, it's the only place to go.

The food is good and they have a nice size menu. The bites and guy fries are very good.

Two words: turtle bites. Big burgers and beers. Go on wing or build your own burger night

i have eaten here twice and have not enjoyed anything ive eaten- nor have my dining partners, the menu goes above standard bar fair, but nothing is very good...another case of too many things on one menu to keep up with quality

I have been here a few times and always on a busy night. Waiters and waitresses do a great job and the staff is friendly. Menu selection is very good with a lot of variety. The atmosphere is nice, lots of big screens, clean etc. Would recommend and we will return. The only negative is that they seat the whole dining room at once on the weekends which results in slow food delivery. I don't understand why they don't control traffic flow by making reservations available.

Took an hour to get 2 sandwiches and the waitress sent someone else out with our food. The manager said it was a mistake in the veggie burger and waitress said it was s back up in kitchen. Manger said he would take half off bill well last time I did math half of 38$ was not 10$. Also went to use bathroom and one out of two stalls was locked and empty the other had someone in it and u could hear texting going on!!! After having to make noise so they knew I was waiting the girl /waitress came out and never washed her hands. Gross

Great food and service. My only complaint this visit is that they charge an additional 1.99 to substitute a salad for french fries. The salad they bring you is very weak for the cost. Chalk them up as another establishment that makes it difficult for people to eat healthy, and is this case the proprtions and actual price of the items exchanged does not even make sense.

  • Lois F.

The food is predictable but good. However, our recent waitress appeared hostile and did not attend to us. She seemed angry and unapproachable. And the up charge for substitutions is outrageous. They charge for extra pickles. How low rent.

The Berry-rita was good. Don't be scared off by the color. The shrimp bisque was good as well. The Bavarian pretzel sticks are good. They come with five sticks. The cheese is great for people like me who like things plain. I love their boneless buffalo bites.

Love it!!! I went here for the first time on Tuesday and can't wait to go back. It was pretty busy, but we didn't wait long for our food at all. I started with some "turtle bites" which is just their boneless buffalo bites, 1/2 in inferno sauce and 1/2 in the wet cajun. Both were really good but I will say the inferno was not very hot. I really love hot and spicy food though, so I don't know if I just am used to it or not but to me the inferno was what I would call medium. Maybe it just needed more inferno sauce, I dont know. For my dinner I had the thanksgiving dinner melt and it was SO GOOD. I usually think it's gross to eat grilled bread with stuffing on it, because it's just too much bread for me but this sandwich tasted so good that I didn't even care! It was really filling, but I had a lot of food as well. The service was good too. Our waitress was pretty busy with several small tables and a large table, but I never felt neglected at all. Finally, I should also comment that the menu is extensive and probably has something on it for everyone. Plus it isn't overpriced either!

Food is mediocre and over priced. Burgers are terrible. Turtle bites are the only good thing they have going for them but also over priced for the amount you get. Customer service is some of the absolute worst I've ever seen. I've decided to not come back anymore.

  • Sean B.

Never had a bad meal here. Although the burgers only come one temperature because their pre-made. No biggie they're still good. Wings are great.

  • Drew S.

The Tipsy Turtle is the place you could go for a snack or for a meal. The food is absolutely amazing and the service is great. They're normally busy, but you won't have to wait very long at all. Not only that, but the good comes out very quickly. The combination of great burgers and wings with 50 different sauces is truly perfect. It's very inexpensive and affordable for most. If you're in a pinch and need some great food, come here!

  • Angela G.

Turtle bites are pretty decent. Lots of sauces to choose from. Great specials, clean and friendly!

Huge fan of the peanut butter and jelly wings! Go great with beer! Kickin crab bisque is my other favorite here, especially in the bread bowl. Crab cake sandwich is good too. Really nice size!

I used to have a standing dinner with a group of friends at The Turtle. I was working my way through the many available sauces for the Turtle Bites and alternatively ordering the always great "Oh So Gouda" burger. The beer selection is nicely varied with updated offerings for each holiday season. However, I don't go there anymore and cannot recommend it to others because of the owner's poor attitude toward customer service. We have a Christmas tradition of buying a stack of Turtle gift cards when they go on sale. Unfortunately, one of my friends' $100 gift cards turned out to be a dud. My friend put in the time and the legwork of collecting all the serial numbers for all the gift cards and that was the only dud out of over $800 worth of gift cards. Because our group paid in cash and the Turtle only provided one receipt instead of individual receipts for each card, the owners hemmed and hawed about how it was impossible for their employees to make the mistake of issuing a bad card. After months of playing phone tag the owners just stopped taking my friend's calls. We haven't been back. We may live in a small community but that doesn't make us so desperate that we are willing to patronize a place that treats its customers with such disdain and suspicion. There are plenty of other restaurants that care about good food and good service.

I've come here a grand total of 5 times. It's kinda expensive but that didn't bother me as much the first 4 times I went here. My last trip broke the ice. I got a salad which was great and worth the $3. The turtle bites however were laughable!!! There was barely any sauce on them at all and there definately weren't enough on my plate. For nearly $9, I felt like I was robbed. I won't be back here anymore. Approach with caution.

one of my go-to restaurants for a quick dinner, I'm a big fan of their Rubin sandwich and their sweet potato fries are great. its just a overall good local restaurant.

I relocated to the West Coast and whenever I come home for a visit--this is one of my first stops! I absolutely recommend the turtle bites, and the crab bisque.

  • Jason L.

The Turtle makes some spectacular items, such as burgers and 'Turtle Bites' (aka, boneless wings). They also make some very uninspired items, like the pizza or quesadillas. All-in-all, they should focus on what they do right, and drop the rest, because it'll end up giving them a bad name. Beer selection is also very impressive for a corner bar. Great for an after-work happy hour.

    (3)
  • Patrick Z.

The food is great and the atmosphere is good, however the service is not so great. Every time we went there, the servers didn't seem to care and were slow. The turtle bites are worth the trip, but the service makes it difficult to continue to repeat.

  • Rodney D.

The beer selection here is really good. Especially if you are into specialty beers. Their is a nice selection of bar food. My favorite when I am here to put a few back is their Chicken Quesadilla. The Quesadilla is the size of a huge dinner plate. The atmosphere is nice. Gentlemen when you bring a lady here you don't have to worry about shady characters or the chance of mixing it up with someone like you do at some of the bars you frequent in this valley.
