What a great dining experience. First and foremost, our party of 6 had satisfied bellies (decent sized portions), the wait staff was extremely professional and courteous and the food was absolutely delicious. And surprisingly the beer on tap was dirt cheap! Our meal came out to be only $250. We had several drinks each along with appetizers and dessert and coffee. Yes, this was more expensive than what I'd normally spend for a dinner. However, it was for a very special occasion and the same meal of the same quality would've been easily $500 in the city. I can't speak for anyone else at the table, but I ordered the soup de jour...which was a lobster and crab bisque. So much flavor packed in without being overly salty. Such a delight. Next was a delicious T-bone steak cooked medium rare with asparagus. Such a delight!! The meat just melted in my mouth. Others in the table ordered fish n chips, a grilled chicken burger and other cuts of steak. All of us enjoyed the meal along with the service provided. Wonderful experience all around!

We went to Frogtown Chophouse on 8/31/15 and had a very accommodating manager who was able to provide us with peanut free options. There were 3 great peanut safe desserts that night - coconut chocolate ice cream, cheesecake, & crème brulee. Their signature crab potato skins is excellent, so is the house made sourdough bread. Great food, service, & ambience.

The service and food were equally wonderful! We came from out of town and felt right at home. Try the half chicken or the lobster roll and be happy.

Rustic restaurant What a fabulous find in the Pocono's. Friendly service & an awesome menu. You will no doubt find something on the menu that you want to try. The soup of the day is so good - why is it served in such a small bowl?! Crab cakes were enjoyable as well as steaks & salmon. For the bread, they serve a small dish of soup that you dip the bread into- inventive! I was here twice & really enjoyed this restaurant and recommend it!!

After experiencing some poor food throughout our trip, we found this AMAZING restaurant, and couldn't have been more thrilled! The meal starts out with a bread which comes with a delicious tomato soup for dipping, then we went on to get the crab spring rolls which melted in your mouth and were absolutely wonderful. For our entree my husband got steak topped with lobster which was cooked to perfection and the sides were wonderful. I got the fish and a crab cake on the size which were both great. Our server janelle was the nicest woman and made our experience even more enjoyable. I would recommend this to everyone and return back to the Poconos for this place alone!!

Quite solid food and a pleasant dining experience. The crispy duck with raspberry delivers. The burger is good, but one or two notches from greatness. The onion rings will make you happy. Excellent service! Nice low light atmosphere and a well behaved crowd.

Fabulous piece of beef (16oz bone-in NY, $36), competent staff and excellent bar service (could work on spirits selection), small yet tidy wine list and acceptable corkage fee ($25). For me, the management brought my experience down. From amateurish check-in and seating procedures to someone who, from what I could tell, was the GM yet wore a backwards Goose Island baseball cap (not kidding), jeans and an untucked button-down while the maitre d was appropriately dressed with a tie, etc...I guess it just didn't feel like the place was being run by people who really care about fine dining. I guess that's part of its Poconos charm? Great piece of beef though!

After having contacted numerous restaurants within the area to accommodate a party of eighteen, Frogtown Chophouse was the only establishment to vigorously accept proposal without added stipulations. And it's damn good that they did because my experience here was the pinnacle of fine dining. The atmosphere is comfortable yet formal, the cleanliness is surreal, and the service is as close to perfection for a party of eighteen as one could imagine. The architecture of the menu makes for an almost limitless amount of entrees organized in such a way to promote ease of ordering. After choosing your serving of meat (which ranges from a rib eye, rack of lamb, veal steak, to a crab cake, crispy duck, and much more than I can recall) you select a rub, a topping, and a sauce. The sides are conventional for a chophouse and you can add seafood for under $10. I could get into how well cooked and flavored my rack of lamb was, but in truth every dish I tried was cooked without fault. If you're in the area and consider yourself a food connoisseur, Frogtown Chophouse is a must-visit.

Extreme disappointment would describe my experience at the Frogtown Chophose. After reading all the positive reviews I thought we couldn't go wrong. However, our service was subpar, waiting 20-30 minutes between courses. At the end of the meal I had to get up from the table and find an employee to ask our waitress to bring the check, we had be waiting for 30 minutes. The food was equally unimpressive. The crab potato skins tasted like mayonnaise. I got the tomato and blue cheese salad which was good however it was swimming in balsamic glaze. My boyfriends $40 aged NY strip was bland and chewy. My veal porterhouse was the same way. I ended up dipping it in horseradish sauce just to add dome flavor, something I should not have to do with a $36 dollar cut of meat. Save yourself the money and frustration, don't dine here.

One of the best dining experiences of my life , I live nowhere near here, but I will definitely be returning one way or another. I went in a Monday night and it was pretty dead, the atmosphere was beautiful and the service impeccable. I ordered one of their specialty beers and it was lovely. The food....oh the food....as I bit into my toasted wrap, crispy and bursting with warm, juicy lobster, light streamed through the window and angels were singing a heavenly chorus. It was so delicious I almost forgot I paid $26 for it. Other food I sampled from everyone else's plate, crab cake: perfection, carrot ginger soup: silky deliciousness, homemade pie and icecream: sweet but balanced. Sure, it's pricey, but the prices are fair considering everything is made fresh and it's. so. yummy. Skip out on all the overpriced, greasy tourist traps in the area go to Frogtown Chophouse!

Very disappointed. The filet was a cheap cut of beef, you could taste the lack of quality. Mashed Potato dry and lumpy. I did enjoy the little crab cake and creme brulee. Hence a star for each. Service not great, nothing was explained when served, items forgotten.... but the GM was very knowledgeable and checked on our table continuously. IMO Just because you are offering a restaurant week special, does not mean you should cheap out on what's being served. It should be an opportunity to showcase your menu to new customers to encourage a return visit.

Brought 15 friends and family here for my brother's birthday dinner. We were all very impressed by the evening. The waitstaff was on it...they took our orders quickly and efficiently, forgetting nothing. (Not easy with 15 people ranging in ages from 10-70.) The food was great...so many steak options, a few fish dishes, and a nice selection of vegetarian options (salads, sandwiches, apps, etc...) They plated our brought-in deserts and even gave my brother a complimentary slice of cake. Great cocktail, wine, and beer selection...TRY THE BOURBON BEER! Dinner ran about $40/person.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! This has got to be one of my local favorites and I am so glad to have found this gem! You don't have to go far to get a fine dining experience. The service is amazing ... the food is absolutely delicious ... the prices are very reasonable and they have FRIED ICE CREAM! Any place that has fried ice cream is amazing in my eyes! Their cocktail list is also very impressive ... If you are in the area or are a local you have to try this place, you will not be disappointed!

We came to the poconos to get away for a bday weekend. This place was great! They had several fires going inside which made for a comfy atmosphere. To start you should try the blue tomato salad. The tomatoes are layered with blue cheese, a balsamic glaze, pesto, and baked...it was amazing! Both filets were cooked perfectly and melted in our mouths. You cannot leave this place without trying the fried ice cream for dessert. It's a life changer! If you're in the area you should definitely make reservations and try this place out. Great for a nice relaxing dinner after a long day of winter activities!

Off the main drag but worth finding. An excellent menu, expansive wine list and great service. We enjoyed the fish and roast duck, both were superb

This was a fantastic dinner. I tried my first crispy duck after leaving Germany. I was really impressed. Absolutely great. We can also recommend the very tasty deserts e.g. the espresso creme brulee.

One of the best restaurants that my family and I have ever been to. The food was so great, you tell the they have an awesome chef, an actual artisan, the atmosphere, the service, everything was perfect.

A good attempt at Classic American fare. My martini was crisp and well prepared. The hummus appetizer platter was expensive for the trio of dips. Iceberg wedge was too sweet - they should stick to the classic wedge with bacon and keep it cold and salty, not warm and sweet. The fish was competently prepared with ample portions.

Having moved to this area earlier this summer I had despaired of finding a really good restaurant close to home. Thankfully, I was wrong. The Chophouse is the sort of place I could both go to every night for a burger, or go to for a special occasion and get one of their steaks. The quality of the food is top notch, the preparation expert, and the servers are really delightful people. I've yet to have a bad experience here, and I don't think I ever would. The first time I went with two friends and we sat at the bar. They'd been trying to get me there for months and kept saying how great it was. The owner was at the bar and made me a few cocktails, which were excellent. Be adventurous and try some of the specialty cocktails as they're very well thought out. The beer selection is better than any other restaurant in the area, too. I had a grilled 4 oz. filet on their caesar salad, but shared some of the NY strip and the rib-eye. All of the meat was grilled just the way we ordered it and were delicious. The dipping sauces that came with the steaks were perfectly paired with the meat and only enhanced the flavors. We split their brioche bread pudding which was also really good. Finished it off with a glass of port and made our way home happy and full. I've been back a number of times ever since, always as good as the last. So glad that this restaurant is here, and that the owner is such pleasure, as well as the chef who made an appearance at one point during our meal. Definitely check this place out!

Great food. Great service. The only down side is the noise level. When the place is filled, it is hard to hear. Great ambience. Definite return spot.

Overpriced imitation steakhouse. Prices bordering on going to a real chop house a la Peter Lugers, Shula's, Ditka's, Ruth's Chris... etc. Quality is ok, hence the 3 star review. Creamed spinach was good. Here's the deal, the protein (i.e. the steak, pork, etc.) has to be top notch to charge these prices. The reality is that it's not there. So, keep that in mind before you drop in here. If you're not used to real steakhouses, then what they're doing will probably impress you. Otherwise, think twice.

OMG! The best steak I have ever had in my life! They were having a filet special with a blue cheese butter sauce. It was absolutely amazing! Not only was the food steak great, the sides were delicious and the drinks went down nice! The service from Brandon was the best service we've had in a long time. We can't wait to plan our next trip to Pennsylvania just to go back to this place again!

The salmon was really good as was the service. Atmosphere was nice but a bit too dark for me. Everyone else had good meals too. Classy place but casual too.

Great service! Yummy food! We are here for vacation and I'm gluten free due to allergies and after informing the waitress, who was lovely, she informed the chef, who came to our table to talk cheese! We ordered the Southwestern Salad and the cheese had wheat so he offered American. We ate lobster potato skins and the listed was from the claws, vegetarian and gluten free French-onion, tomato with mozzarella and balsamic and the salad. All was delicious! My husband had tomato bisque and my taco shell with half the salad along with fries and the potato skins. We ordered a $41 bottle of wine and our total was just over $100. We liked it so much we might just be back again before going home, in just two days. Great evening!

If you want good, REAL food, this is this is the place, and really the only place in the Poconos that has it all. Service is excellent, great wine list, and amazing food. Everything we ordered was above and beyond. We couldn't have been happier with our experience. Top notch restaurant! Ahhh what a relief, this restaurant by far made our entire Poconos weekend!!

My wife and I had an excellent crab cake dinner. My grilled romaine salad was excellent as well as the homemade mushroom soup. An upscale restaurant with a lot of ambience.

Delicious dinner and great service. Excellent menu choices. Accommodated a 12 person party last-minute. Yummy cocktails. Was pleasantly surprised to find this gem while on vacation with a family reunion. The owners care about quality, and it shows.

We called Frogtown very close to their closing time and asked if they would accommodate our group of 13, I fully expected them to say that the kitchen is closing in a few minutes, and they said no problem, come on over. We had a group of 6 adults and 7 kids, celebrating my son's birthday on vacation to the nearby Great Wolf lodge. We did not order appetizers, although, they did look very tempting. The mains were delicious and so were the sides, I had fillet mignon with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, hubby had rib eye, and my kids had mac and cheese to start with (I was stealing from them a few times, this was by far the most amazing M&C I had) and then my 16 year old who finally started eating well, ordered crispy chicken which he almost polished off, the one leftover part was eaten by me in a cold state the next day and it was delicious! The drinks were also on point, my best friend and I both had the old-fashioned, they were crafted very well, and the spirit literally warmed our souls. The service was great, we had both Brandon and Sammy taking care of us, and they were superb. The restaurant did run out of a few things such as broccolino as this was towards the end of the day, but we truly did not mind. I would highly recommend eating here.

Amazing food. Stayed at property nearby (paradise stream) and they wouldn't recommend any nearby restaurants and I can see why !!! Place is awesome and food fantastic. Filet mignon was amazing and Brandino equally mouth watering. All the reviews I read were right on point. Only thing I wish I knew is that Frogtown is off Carlton Rd and Paradise Stream is on Carlton. Great place and would stay here next time I come to this area. In fact, I'd come just for the food from Long Island.

Stuffed mushrooms were ice cold, but they remade them and they were excellent. However it took about twenty minutes to get the new app. Then I got the crispy duck as an entree. It was not flash fried as described, it was deep fried i could not even chew it. It said semi boneless, and Had more bones than chicken. It was quite humorous that my dogs had trouble chewing it once i got home. Needless to say I took one bite and that was all. The beer selection was top notch. The only thing going for them is the beer selection and the managers knowledge of his brews. Don't waste your time spending a dime there on food, there are plenty of other places in the area with a better dining experience. The server kept forgetting items, and seemed overwhelmed with his workload. The general manager made no attempt to correct for the horrible food and bad service, other than just listening to our concerns.

My husband and I went to Frogtown Chophouse for our anniversary, and I have to say, I've never been more pleased with a dining experience. The food was absolutely amazing (and we ate pretty simple, so I can only imagine what the more extravagant food tastes like) and the service was great. All of the staff was very helpful and very nice, all of which added to a great experience. Since I live in the area, I think I will try to make this my new "regular" place. I can't wait to go back and try more, and since my last favorite restaurant closed down, I've been in the market for a new one! ;)
