Well I was on a trip, and I saw this place on the road. Once inside we decided to eat at the bar. The bartender, "Fernando" introduced himself, and asked us what we wanted to drink? My partner ordered a beer, and I ordered a frozen margarita. Fernando then asked, "Do you want bread?" Of course we said, "Yes." Fernando poured my partners beer, and he walked away taking orders at the service bar, and started to text on his phone. Where is my drink? Hmmm...During this process there was a jar of cherries on the service bar for costumers drinks, every now and then servers would take cherries from the jar, and eat them, and walk away, and serve tables. Finally my drink arrived after Fernando was done talking about football to one of the managers. Our bread was not out (yes he forgot it due to football) so I asked him for the bread. The bread was amazing; my meal not so great. I ordered the bbq chicken sandwich which came with from fries. The sandwich had no taste, and the fries were not good. It looks like someone threw them on the plate, and said, "Here ya go!" I don't think I will come back again. The drinks were great, and the bread, other than that the service is horrid, and the food is not good at all.

Texas Roadhouse is always a treat for a special occasion. Not only is their food to die for, but the wait staff is on top of things and friendly. They actually seem to care about the customer and are on too of whatever is needed. The fact that everything is made from scratch is wonderful and your belly will be satisfied for the rest of the night.

I love this place, the buttered rolls are so good, i try not to fill up on these (make sure to get it with regular butter) I always get the bbq chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and it never falls short of my expectations. Maybe one day I'll try something else. Lol my parents get the steak and rib combo, i don't eat red meat, but they say it's pretty good. Oh and if you're a weirdo that doesn't like their rolls yiu can enjoy some peanuts!

I'm not a huge fan of big commercial crowed chain places. The good news is that you could pick out your steak from a display case before you are seated. How they keep track of "your" steak, I have no idea. Very crowded and we had to wait approx 30 minutes, although the hostess told us 10-15. Whatever. No biggie. Food was pretty good, service was OK. It's a decent place overall. Whenever we are away we like to try places that we don't have at home so that's how we stumbled upon the place. The funny thing about this place is how they sing happy birthday. They make the birthday person sit on a saddle on a rolling platform while they sing happy birthday. Very funny!!!! Oh, they also have peanuts in the shells while you're waiting. Good touch!

went here on my birthday. Steaks were ok, but my wife doesn't eat meat so she ordered the fish. We were done with our meals before hers even came out and when it did, it was partly frozen. Messy with all of the shells. I guess it'd be ok for drunken frat guys.

I really wanted to like this place. We tried them because the picture of the cactus blossom appetizer (onion blossom) looked so good in their ad. It wasn't near as good as it looked. Too much breading, not enough onion. Their fresh bread was good, not great, and that was the theme for the meal. The pulled pork was ok. Too dry, too sweet, and not that lovely melt in your mouth texture of the best ones. The salad was obviously made ahead and place in the refrigerator which changes the texture of the vegetables and not in a good way. I really didn't get the cinnamon butter on the bread. Just does not go with the savory flavors of the meal. We won't go back. Good not great is just not good enough for our occasional meal out. I can make better at home.

I gave 4 stars for effort alone by the general managing partner nick. We made a call ahead reservation on a Saturday night. When we checked in they forgot they told us 20 minute wait. We waited over half an hour bright it to their attention. The manager Nick took care of seating us and after discussing it offered us a complimentary appetizer. The peanut bucket was nasty with more salt and saw dust than nuts. The steaks we ordered came out and 3 of the 4 were properly cooked. One of the filets was medium well instead of medium rare. The steak was replaced with a correctly cooked one. The filet tasted excellent. The medium cooked boneless steak tasted dry but edible. The general manager and another person (probably assistant manager) kept coming over to see how things were going. The restaurant was packed the entire time we were there on Saturday evening. The rolls brought to the table when you are seated were fantastic. They tasted like desert. The waitress , a young girl, was good. She had a lot of tables but seemed to manage well. Prices are reasonable for steak dinner. Overall it's a good night with management that's looking to keep the customers happy.

i have been to many texas roahouses up and down the east coast and actually used to work at one in North Carolina while in college and let me tell you the location in Stroudsburg, PA is one of the BEST TRH's!! I have gone here with my family 3-4 times in the last year and every time we have had great service and great food... we even had one of the mangers come over to greet us one night when the place was packed! The mangers name was Ken or Kenny, one of the nicest people i have ever met and one of the reasons we keep coming back! The servers/waiters always seem to be having fun... (credit to the mangers) something that is lacking at other restaurants. Not all TRH's are gems but this one is for sure!!!

Not Good. This is fake cheap rip-off of Logan's Roadhouse was extremely disappointing across the board.

YUMMY!!!!! Everytime I visit my family in PA I must stop here!! There are huge pails of roasted peanuts everywhere so u can much while u wait. You can pick out your own cut of meat they put a pick with your number on it ask you how you want it cooked and then bring it to your table when its ready. The mashed potatoes are sooo good The baked beans are great and the mixed vegetable are also good. They're seasoned just right with a lemony butter sauce mmm mmm. The pork ribs are literally falling off the bone .. The food here is really good and VERY affordable! the atmosphere is very casual mostly family oriented and the waiters are super friendly! I wish they had one open in New York city!!

Would come back for the Tuesday .99 kids meals and the cover sized margaritas. But my ribs were burnt and tough. Actually one was burnt and soft, the other burnt and leathery. Service was good, but main courses were slow. My wife's food was good (steak medallions), which was the saving grace.

Pretty good steaks. Casual atmosphere with peanut shells on floor type of thing. I love the sweet potatoes with cinnamon butter. Great tropical drinks. This last ime I had the pulled pork dinner and was very happy. More food than I could finish!

So, been here a few times over the last few years as I travel to and through Stroudsburg fairly often. As we were stopping in town Saturday to pick something up while heading to Syracuse for the weekend, we decided to stop by for dinner. I called ahead for the "Call ahead seating" and was given a number and and asked if we required any special accommodations. I replied that we required a table (with chairs) rather than a booth as both the wife and I have handicaps that make getting in and out of booths difficult. I'm told "OK but there would be a 20 minute wait for a table." No problem, We were about 5 minutes away at the time and 15 minute +/- wait is no big deal. We get there, check in and I guess that's when I should have realized there was going to be an issue as the girl at the check-in immediately tried to switch us to a booth. Again I explained that would not work. She says that it may then be a bit of a longer wait for a table. Me: How long? Her: Perhaps another 20 minutes. OK. I was on a bit of a tight schedule but that was doable. So we waited. . . and waited.. . . and waited. 70 minutes after being told 20 minutes still no table and I'm told they have no idea how much longer it will be and are we sure we didn't want a booth? It's like a classic bait and switch. That or they are just thick as . . . well, you know. When we finally ran out of time and had to leave to make it to our destination in time, I let my displeasure be known to the manager at at the hostess station. She apologizes and tells me that they only have 4 tables in the restaurant. Really? Well maybe they should have thought about that when you lied to me about the wait! Or maybe they should work on their estimation skills! And maybe they should realize that then offering me a free entree by way of "making it up to me," does not. In fact, the notion that $15 worth of food is somehow going to make up for wasting over an hour of our lives is, frankly, insulting.

I used to work here and that says a lot that I USED to work here but still come back to eat because the food is that good. I know it's a chain blah blah blah. But really the steaks are phenomenal and the ribs really do fall off the bone. Not to mention a super clean kitchen, I've been back there. Also their food is prepared fresh everyday unlike most chains.

I've been here before and swore I was never coming back. But I definitely had a much better experience this time around. We THOUGHT Thursday nights was kid night, but I guess its Tuesday. Either way, our server was extremely friendly. They were out of the Prime Rib (Rare) probably because it wasn't taken out on time and overcooked. I was alright with the medium rare. Overall, service was good and the food was alright.

Visiting family for Father's day, this place had the shortest wait for dinner. So we decided to come here for dinner. The service was slow. We had to ask our waiter several times for utensils, napkins and refills. The peanuts were pretty stale. The bread was good, but greasy. If you order a half rack of ribs, it comes with 2 options of sides. I ordered a salad and a side of mixed vegetables. The salad was more of a meal than a "side"and the mixed vegetables was a cup of broccoli. Both were tasty, but I want to give you a heads up of what your going to get. The ribs came out and were very tasty, they fell off the bone ( a big plus! ). However my boyfriend ordered the grilled chicken breast, and thankfully we split our meals so he had enough to fill up on. But if you have an appetite, the chicken is about the size of a hockey puck. Which is funny because it comes out to you on such a big plate. So you may want to order the chicken/rib combo if you have an appetite. I would give this place another shot, but it wouldnt be a top priority to come back.

One of the best chain steak restaurants around. Called in an order for pick up. The order took over an hour to be ready, got there early for pick up and got to eat some peanuts and had comp sodas.

I've eaten at other Texas Roadhouse locations and thought they were just okay. Arriving 15 minutes before closing, I didn't expect the best food/service. I was definitely wrong with this location! The service was fantastic. Andres was our server. He was very humorous and attentive. The food was great as well. My medium rare sirloin was cooked perfectly and the bread was warm, fresh and plentiful!

  • Aj S.

The bread and cinnamon butter (or whatever it is) is very tasty! The chicken and pulled pork was great! Their loaded mashed potatoes are excellent as well! I was not a fan of the steak fries. The biggest problem is that the service is slow (due to understaffing, is what we were told) and never (repeat, never!) go with more than 6 people. They even put warning signs about parties greater than 6 or more inside the restaurant so that when your party of 7 arrives, you can all read it and "prepare" accordingly. There is also this one huge jerk of a waiter. Don't remember the name or when I went, but regulars to this place will know exactly who I am talking about. That waiter is -1 star by himself.

Texas Roadhouse stroudsburg is the best chain restaurant I will go to. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable. The food is always fresh and always cooked perfectly. I try and make it there 2-3 times a month with my busy schedule. I actually like the place so much I bought stock in it!

Long wait, discriminatory signage, okay food. If only a family member drags me back will I go.

I got the bone-in ribeye. I ended up trimming off more fat then what I actually was able to eat. I would be surprised if there was salt anywhere in the kitchen because there was no seasoning at all on the few pieces I was able to eat...a total disappointment!!!

We came in starving! The host put us at a table right as we walked in. There was frets bread on the table before we even sat down! Our waitress was very polite and our drinks were always full! The food came out quickly and tasted delicious. Best service we've had in months!!

I nice authentic roadhouse to just sit back and enjoy a good meal. They have awesome steaks by the way. It does get crowded so just book in advance or you will regret it. Don't be stupid. I stop here often for a awesome portion sized meal that won't completely fry your wallet. I did get some bad service but I have to admit she was running around a lot servicing a lot of tables. She was working hard and really nothing to complain about except it took a while for the meal... nothing major

We probably ate here at least a dozen times when we lived in Stroudsburg. The staff was always friendly and the steaks were very good. Love the music and the general ambiance of the place. You can call ahead and reserve a table to reduce the wait time. We always had food left over to take home for another meal. Everything was fresh and the beer was ice cold.

What place do you want to go on a fathers day? Well a steakhouse of course! We actually ordered to take out so my review is basically on my view of the restaurant and the food. So going in was extremely packed and so many people taking dads from all around. When I approached the take out counter the employee introduced himself shook my hand and thanked me for picking their restaraunt. oO. Wow! That's a new one to me but good none the less. So the food was decent. I couodn't complain too much about it because I ate it all which is always good. My wife did complain about the fries not being too hot and thought they were too floppy. So my rating would have been a 3 but that employee giving his all just gave you guys the extra brownie points.

OMG... It was our first time and it delivered. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and she love it. The service is an A+, the food is an A+ and the atmosphere was amazing. You can pick your own rib eye or steak cut before they cook it. I'm not steak eater but definitely a fan of Texas Roadhouse.

So just sat for over ten minutes and no one said anything to us. Plenty of servers walking back and forth past us. Four to be exact. Shortly after being seated one server took her tip off the table across from us, then walked away down to the table below us. Another one was talking to the couple at the booth in the corner for a few minutes then she walked past us, nothing. A third in a plaid shirt stood and talked to a couple diagonal from us for five minutes, she looked over at us a couple times but then also walked away. The fourth asked the table behind us if they needed anything, walked past us. Nothing from anyone. So we got up and left. A young man said thank you and have a good night and I let him know we just sat for over ten minutes and no one took care of us. He tried to get us to stop but I said no thanks. This is not the first time we have sat for this long and no service. The last TWO times here were the same. In the past I have asked for a server, this time we choose not to. Went down to long horn and am enjoying a nice meal. I give two stars for past times for the food alone.

I came here in August with my family and I was pleased with the food, but very disappointed with the service. I got a sirloin steak with ribs, sweet potato, and broccoli. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very tasty and the ribs fell right off the bone (and were good as well!). The sweet potato was fine, but the broccoli was covered in a super salty butter that made most of it inedible. The restaurant would be a 4/5 if it was just the food and prices (very good), but the service was terrible. Our server was very slow and forgot a bunch of things that we asked for. The biggest mistake was waiting ~30 minutes between ordering and when we got our food; the restaurant wasn't packed by any means and there was no reason to wait that long. I would still recommend coming here since the food was very good, but beware that you might be waiting a very long time for your food.

Excellent customer service; waiter was polite, fast and even humorous. There is parking available. The food is great; I ordered the portobello mushrooms with chicken and some buttered corn on the side. I enjoyed every bite of my meal.

Food and service were great. A little slow to get food but we were a big party, so that is understood. Kids eat for .99 on Tuesday so it was a bargain. Rib eye, ribs, pulled pork were all delicious and the salmon was done just right. I'd go there again. Bonus is the saddle they roll up when you are celebrating a birthday.

While in PA visiting a friend we were on our way back from the Country Junction we decided we were starving so my friend suggested to come to Texas Roadhouse. We walked in with her two twin baby girls who we were nervous about bringing into the restaurant because they have never dined outside of the house. The atmosphere when you walk in is pretty cool, peanuts at every corner whether they are still in the buckets provided or the shells on the floor. We were seated in the back section of the restaurant in a booth and they brought us two high chairs for the munchkins. While walking in I noticed the display of steaks front and center as you walked in, nice little touch if you ask me, I like the fact that you can see it before you eat it. Once seated the waitress brought us our fresh baked bread that was baked every 5 mins and served with a honey cinnamon butter. The bread was good but like other people said a little greasy. They also have a bucket of peanuts on the table to snack on until you get your meal. We placed our drink orders and this is where it all began...we got a few soft drinks and one large margarita for my friend, and two cups of water for the babies (my friend asked for kid cups). The waitress completely disregarded my friends iced tea order and then brought water in glass cups for the babies. After we explained to her that they are children and we don't feel comfortable serving them in a glass cup she brought over a styrofoam cup not even the kids cups like we asked. We decided this girl just doesn't have it together so they shared. For appetizers we ordered the fried pickles and the blossom. The fried pickles were really good but they are something you have to eat rite away otherwise they will get soggy. They were thin sliced crinkle cut pickles that are hand battered and fried to a golden brown color and served with ranch dipping sauce for dipping. The blossom is similar to outback steak houses blooming onion, a large onion cut, battered and deep fried to a golden brown and served with cajun horseradish sauce. (pretty good but outback makes it better hands down) My friend had asked for utensils just about 10 times before she actually received them causing her to have to harass the waitress. Our dinner order was pretty funny all four of us gals ordered the same thing but different side variations. We all ordered the country fried chicken with white gravy. I got mine with a house salad served with blue cheese dressing and a loaded sweet potato. ( I am a slut for a good sweet potato #sweetpotatoslut = that's for you Mattson) The house salad was really delicious served in a cold bowl with lettuce, tomato, hard boiled egg (nice touch), shredded cheese and croutons. The blue cheese dressing was perfect not too many chunks and just the rite amount of sharpness to it. After we all ate our yummy salads out come the country fried chicken drenched in a thick white gravy and my loaded sweet potato. That sweet potato was fabulous and loaded with honey butter and topped high with roasted marshmallows, one of the best I've ever had hands down. The chicken was really good with a nice crunch to it. After we ate as much as we possibly could we asked for 4 to-go containers and the check, we were left sitting at the table for what seemed like an eternity to just find out that our waitress had completely forgotten about us again. It wouldn't have been that big of a deal to us but number one we have two very young children with us who were getting restless and this was the 3rd time she had forgotten something for our table. I had to get up out of my seat and found her chatting with another waitress in the kitchen area I looked at her and asked if she had forgotten about us and she said yes. I went back to my table and waited another 10 mins for our check and to-go boxes. One thing that I would highly recommend to the owners of this establishment is to think of hiring better wait staff who cares about its customers and the chains reputation.

Have been here a quite few times in the past few years and always had a good experience..food always good, etc. However recently I had a waitress who did not do a good job at all by continuing to talk to her friend sitting near by resulting in us getting our food and appetizer within minutes of eachother. To top it all off, our to-go box was thrown away upon us returning from the bathroom. I called the manager on duty on the ride home to try and reach out as we did like the place and wanted to call it a bad night, and he assured us it would be taken care of and said he was mailing us a free meal for two to make up for the bad experience. It has been 3 weeks since and never received anything. Poorly handled and will not be returning.

One of my friends recommended Texas Roadhouse when I was in the Stroudburg area and was one of the best steakhouses I have ever been to. First of all, unlimited peanuts and cinnamon buttered rolls are delicious. Enjoyed the atmosphere, especially when the customer has the option to customize their steak and even gets to choose which steak he/she wants at the window. I had the pulled pork dinner with 2 side dishes; very impressed with the variety of side dishes besides the routine French fries, also had salads, chili, rice, vegetables, sweet potato, etc. I would definitely come here again if I am in the area.

If you have ever been to a Texas Roadhouse before, then you know how good the food is. Great appetizers and a bunch of popular beers. Steaks are amazing and you can smell them all around the area. Chicken is cooked great, nice and juicy. I will be back to this roadhouse whenever I'm in the area. Ran very efficiently.

we have always loved this location because the food is great, and staff is friendly. have to give a shout out to two staff members, Felisia (sorry if I misspelled) and Cassandra who were so kind to help us out with paying for our parents' check all the way from NY! small gestures speak volumes. thank you!

Decent food, the ribs were excellent. As for any steak you order, never ask for it to be well-done...trust me. Not that it was bad, it's just that it wasn't juicy at all, which was a big let down. The hamburgers are decent as well and pretty big, definitely fulfilling. The one thing you don't want to get is the cactus blossom. It definitely deserved an A for presentation, but it was very greasy, especially at the bottom, too much breading and they didn't peel the onions very well...we had a lot of hard onion skin on our plate. The staff is very friendly, but our waiter was a bit slow and forgetful.

Besides an uppercase steakhouse, this is my favorite steakhouse. I always get the ribeye, medium rare with a hard sear. sometimes I get the bone in and sometimes the boneless. Always the green beans and loaded mashed potatoes. Rattlesnake bites for the app. Sometimes the steak is significantly more fatty than most ribeyes but always a great flavor. Always friendly service and consistently great food and atmosphere.

Best steak in the area!!The service was great. They know when to serve and ask if you need anything else. We have never had to wait more then two or three minutes for service. Looking forward to the next visit.

When this place first opened it was great, Good service, tasty ribs. We stopped going after a few times because of mediocre food and long waits for the food. Burgers were over cooked, ribs were dry but to their credit the manager gave us a refund and even a $25 certificate to come back and try again. Went recently and while the ribs were better the burgers still not quite as good as they used to be but the biggest thing for me was the long wait for the food, again, about 40 minutes and it wasn't even crowded. Hit or miss in my book.
