Experience in the dining room was horrible. We arrived before the crowd for dinner. 25 minutes before we got water or drinks. My beer had lipstick stain on the rim. Took 3 requests to get silverware - 1 after the food arrived. Tried to get a manager's attention and she barely gave us a glance, asked who the waitress was and disappeared without listening or asking a question. No one finished their dinner the food was simply not good. No flavor, too much fat on the ribs, and my steak was a really bad cut for a filet. Not a place we will ever go again and will definitely not recommend it.

Eh... The food was a little over cooked and I think the cook is afraid of spices. The garlic butter wings only tastes like butter, the blooming onion had hardly any taste in the batter. The ranch sauce (I think it was ranch) was very runny. We ordered Cajun BBQ ribs and got we got three small Cajun BBQ pork chops. I wouldn't have minded that so much, but we weren't asked for a substitute. Anyway. Not a very expensive meal. Don't expect much.

I love this bar! Great people, great food, priced right. Wait staff is hilarious! Ranch dressing home made and amazing. Crab stuffed peppers are great. Drinks are cheap. Worth the stop.

Saw reviews - it is a great joint! If you want a French waiter with tie, you aren't getting it here. Good place for shot, beer and wings! Service was knocked in reviews I read...but my beer glass was never empty.

You let me down on this one yelpers. A "has been". Passed the parking lot test but all the patrons were in the back whoopin' it up to some live music. No doubt cheap wine and beer types. Definitely not a place for a foodie, even foodie-in-training. At least they had Sapphire for my martini albeit in the smallest tini glass around; French onion soup with suspected Steero beef flavoring; crab cakes with more bread than crab and an environment that, well, hasn't changed in probably 25-30 years. Come on! We drove through the cutest community of Somerset. Skip this one and find something better!

Brought family down the mountain from hidden valley and we were all pleasantly surprised. Sat out back on the deck and the atmosphere was good set alongside the mountain and creek but the food was even better. Got the surf turf and the crab legs were cooked pretty close to perfect. Wife likes the salmon and kids all loved the pizza and burgers. Went back 2 nights later we likes it so much... Also good portions and good prices which is always appreciated by a dad of 4.

My family and I had a great dining experience here last night. The service was very prompt and the staff was very friendly. We sat on the bar side, which does allow smoking and has some televisions to watch sports. There is a very large non-smoking dining area as well. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and all the food came out in a reasonable amount of time except for one meal that came out 10 minutes or so after all the others. It wasn't a big deal to us; it happens. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be returning.

Service was great, however we can't say the same about the food. The coleslaw smelled spoiled, the margarita tasted like they dumped the salt in the margarita and not just around the rim. The tomatoes on my salad we tasted funky. Probably wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Okay its actually a 4 but with a few negative low rating number people that must be the local competition I felt this place needed to be bumped up. This is an old school place which I look for all over the U.S. It is not real fancy but I am all about the food. The food was very good as I had the small prime rib which was the biggest 14 OZ. I have ever had and my wife had the king crab legs. We had 1/2 litre wine the old school way. The entrees come with two sides which are also good size. We had to take some food home. We found this place the old school way by driving by and seeing it packed and all local license plates. No yups here. If you don't like this kind of place go find an Applebees.

Carnivores delight, yes, but the crab legs are good too. Another large take out order. Ski group delight. We had our own smorgasboard...prime rib was perfectly cooked and delicious...baby bake ribs are oh so good with meat that fell of the bones...salmon was perfectly cooked on pasta, yum. Don't forget to order an Onion Blossom to share.

This is only the second time I've ever been to Laurel Mountain Inn Restaurant, and the last time was years ago. So this review was based on today. My husband and I decided to go up to the state park and stopped here for a late lunch. (I should add he comes up here all of the time during fishing season.) Since it was a beautiful day, we decided to sit outside...which was definitely more my idea. But, the dining room area had the A/C cranked up, so I knew I'd freeze inside. Plus, I love to eat outdoors. Anyways...we were pleasantly surprised that they had live music starting in just ten minutes. The outside deck was nice, and included a bar area where you could smoke and about 15 or so tables. My husband ordered the Philly Steak Hoagie with fries, and it was huge!! (see pics!) Also somewhat reasonably priced at $10.95 for the size. I took a bite, and I agreed with him that it was delicious! I got a Caesar Salad with Chicken and their homemade dressing, also delicious and reasonably priced ($8.50, not bad). The bad, whose name was J.D. and Cindy, I believe were fun. It was a middle-aged couple who were super cute, and they played everything from Jefferson Airplane to Fleetwood Mac and some newer stuff, as well as their own original music. The food was good and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. They also had a "create your own bloody mary" special for $3, but we weren't told about this, it was simply on the chalkboard by the bar. I'm torn...almost gave this place 4 stars but simply Could Not because the one big con....and I mean BIG...the service. Or, more appropriately, the lack thereof. There were 2 waitress / bartenders outside. Both rude, both slow, both indifferent. Once we ordered our drinks, it took another 5 minutes or so to get them. The food came out fairly quickly, but that's not saying much because 1) it was around 2pm, so post-lunch, pre-dinner time and 2) that was the cook's doing, so no points for these girls. Halfway through our meals, I was completely out of iced tea, as well any my husband. I also needed more dressing for my salad. I waited at least eight minutes or so, no one ever came over. The place did get a little busy while we were there. I counted 8 tables (including us) and 6 people at the bar. But still, not more than two ladies should be able to handle. (p.s. I did waitress in college so I'm not being completely unrealistic here.) Eventually, I made my way up to the bar where both waitress / bartenders were. I asked for more to drink and more dressing. They said okay. It took the one girl 2 minutes to bring us more iced tea and the other girl Another 2 minutes to bring me more salad dressing...wth. We were never asked how our food was or if we wanted anything else. Since it was more of a relaxed atmosphere and people may stick around to watch the band, you think we'd at least get some more to drink, but no. At one point, one the waitresses was two tables away with a pitcher of iced tea and never came over to us. We left out bill and money on the table...along with an appropriate tip (that means not much) and left. The other small con, which is usually not a big deal to me is that the place definitely needed an update inside. But, as long as the place has good food, is clean, and has good service, that isn't a deal breaker.

I stopped in with a group after golfing Seven Springs. There is absolutely nothing around this place and I can't believe we even found it. The atmosphere is a typical rustic bar. The bartender was attentive and friendly to our group. All six of us ordered a couple beers and sandwiches. I got the turkey rueben. It was decent coupled with some beer-battered fries. Give it a go if your in the area.

This review is based on their food. This place has great food! My friends and I rented a cabin for the weekend a couple of feet away from here. Our first day at the cabin, we were hungry (after a 6 to 7 hour drive from NYC) so we decided to visit the inn. The place was very comfortable and we were greeted by a friendly waitress with a southern accent. There were seven of us and we were seated in the back. There was another two or three families there and they seemed as if they were regulars. The waitress gave us our menus and she presented the specials to us. The prices were amazing especially with the portions they gave us. My friends and I were surprised at the portion of the meal. For starters we ordered an Onion Blossom and nachos. The Onion Blossom was crispy and delicious although, they could have given us a bit more dipping sauce considering the size of our group. The nachos were loaded with beans, olives, sauce, sour cream, guacamole, and more. The nachos was a huge portion. We did not finish the nachos but I do not remember if we finished the onion blossom or not. As an entree I had the Philly Cheese steak. Oh my gosh! It was sooo darn delicious. I did not expect the portion to be so big. Two people can eat from one order. Many of us ordered the cheese steak and we all took the leftovers back to our cabins. The beer battered fries were amazing. This is the first time I tried them and they were great! The Philly cheese steak was cooked perfectly and the cheese melted just right. The onions were sauteed to perfection as well. I would definitely visit this place again if I go back to Somerset, PA.

I love going here for a great fillet mignon. They have very good crab legs too. Also have a nice outdoor bar/deck with live music.

The Laurel Mountain Inn is a great lunch and dinner place not far from Somerset and close to the major ski resorts. They have a excellent restaurant as well as a typical mountain bar. Great classic bar food such as wings, frys, etc; but they also have really great dinners and specials. If you go, ask for the Hunter Chicken, it's my favorite there.

My girlfriend took me to LMI for my birthday this year. What a treat! We showed up around 9pm and were seated right away. First impression: the decor was a bit "blah" but the red carpet was nice and the place was cozy. Our waitress was hot. We started out the night with the bloomin' onion. Delish! Dipping sauce tasted like ranch, but whatev! Main course: we split a small pep&mush pizza and the king size prime rib. The pizza was pretty good, I think it was either Tombstone or Digiorno. Prime rib was fab. About 5 inches thick - exactly how my girlfriend likes it. Needless to say, I'll be back!

Stopped here based on yelp review. Great food! We both had burgers and beer-battered fries. Huge juicy burgers and crispy flavorful fries. An excellent meal after hiking around the fallingwater house. Good service too!

I never realized how expensive NY was until I ate in PA. You get so much food at a decent price and everything my friends and I ate here was delicious. The waitress was friendly and the atmosphere had this nice comfy feel. I would be happy to go back if I was ever in this area of PA again.

I go to Hidden Valley Ski Resort a lot. This place is really close to it, which is probably why I go so much. Also, drinks here are super cheap; the other major contributing factor to my frequent visits. Get a burger. It costs $5, comes with fries and is good. If you choose to venture deeper into the menu, the food is nothing to write home about, but it is priced similarly to the drinks. Also, they have a pool table and a few other games to play. You might catch a couple weird stares from the locals that frequent this establishment, but generally people are pretty nice.

This place is disgusting. They need to spend some time cleaning. I can't even imagine how filthy the kitchen must be.
