Was suspicious when there was only one other table occupied on a Thursday night with a packed parking lot. Apparently the golf is better than the food. Started with the red beet salad. Looked good but the beets were canned and the pine nuts rancid. The NY strip steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare. Unfortunately it was nearly inedible because of the grizzle. Stew Meat! The steak was topped with canned mushroom gravy. Not worth $32. The fingerling potatoes were ok but a bit dry. So disappointed. Would not recommend this place.

This is hands down the best restaurant in the area. You cannot go wrong with this place. The crab cake was great with virtually no filler. The lobster ravioli was the bomb!! Service was great and everyone was friendly. We WILL be coming back to the Farm House!

I've been here numerous times and everything has always been good. Stephanie does a great job at the bar. Everything I have had to eat has been tasty. The owner, Ted, and his wife Pat are often there and fun to banter with. It has always been an enjoyable experience whenever I have been here.

The food is outstanding, their service is terrific and drinks are just as good! Travis, the bartender, Dina and Sheryl, the waitresses provide wonderful service and dining. The first Friday of the month Voice in the Mirror provide great music if you like 60's, 70', & 80's genre! Our favorite appetizers are the stuffed crab on a bed of baby greens and the calamari drizzled with balsamic sauce topped with Jalapenos. Yum! Love it, love it!

Stopped in last night for a small family dinner. Very nice atmosphere, felt cozy and comfortable. All tables and the bar were full, service was good. Our calamari and macncheese apps were pretty good. Entrees were braised short rib, rib eye, salmon, and crabcake. All were decent, nothing special. Felt like the food was a bit overpriced for the quality. Worth stopping in, but doubt I would go back.

This place is awesome! Travis provided great service, great menu recommendations, AND great martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives! This is a gem in the country...it's worth the drive outside Skippack!

Went on a Saturday for lunch and loved it. The sweet potato fries were delicious. We ordered shrimp po boy, farmhouse burger that has a fried egg on it, and a harvest salad. Everyone loved their meal. The service was wonderful, our waiter was fun, informative and gave great advice on menu items. The restaurant is cozy with windows looking out to the golf course.

I give a one star review because the concept this place attempts was poorly executed during my visit and the Farm House had sub par customer service to boot. I received the impression the food here was a few notches less than their attempt at casual/upscale American and was cloaked in golf club pretention. I unfortunately will not be coming back and did not feel the hike to Skippack was worth it. I left feeling BAD for spending a Friday night here!! I do not recommend this place to anyone who dines out frequently and can recognize well-executed food. Caesar salad: under seasoned dressing and improperly broken down salad. There was head of romaine in the mix. Forgiveable, but still not tasty considering the salad and the dressing ARE the dish. This is a basic litmus test for an American restaurant just like general Tso's is for a Chinese place. Crab and avocado salad on special: this came out with the avocado molded into a tartare patty-esque shape, with some crab on top, with a salad in some citrus vinaigrette on the side. I really thought I would love this dish since I love every one of the ingredients individually. This dish was actually an interesting concept but was lacking flavor. And I found an external avocado nub hidden in the tartare....by biting into it. The crab wasn't truly lump crab. You know, that beautiful clunky white stuff, but some tasteless, pulled apart, gray stuff. The avocado tartare was tasteless too and hard to eat. And the vinaigrette was too sparse to break up any of the rich avocado flavor or fix the crab blandness. The pit was unnerving to find and the icing on top. The chicken carbonara was actually made with rotini pasta, not gemeli as advertised in the menu, though this is not a big deal. The dish was tasty and passable except halfway through, we discovered a hair. This dish was sent back and we received zero apologies from the staff. The lobster ravioli filling was tasty, but it was engulfed by a thick, dumpling-like shell which overwhelmed the insides and defeated their luscious purpose. Sauce was zesty and nice. This dish was edible, but would have been much better if the pasta dough was less thick and enabled the gourmet stuffing to speak. After all of this, the chef comes out and offers us free dessert. No thanks as weren't sure how we would be disappointed by it and at this point wanted leave. We felt he was a little out of touch with the experience from our perspective, and did the right thing by coming out, but the wrong thing by attempting to fix dishes with dessert instead of a discount or comp. We had to hassle them to remove parts of the check and were surprised after all of that they didn't without us pointing it out. If it were another place they would have profusely apologized for such a terrible experience just in individual dishes, but overall, and not attempted to make the customer pay anyway. Atmosphere got busy as the night went on. There was a live band in the bar area. The dining area is freshly painted and pretty standard. Beige walls, with some reddish-painted molding mid wall and top and bottom. Pictures frames with gold frames. Hardwoods covered by rugs.

Great find in Skippack! Small, quiet, great experience. We went for lunch and were one of two tables in the entire restaurant. The service was friendly and I will definitely go back

Very nice place. The I had the lamb appetizer and it was okay, tasted like it was grilled with no spices though. For my main course I got the pork chop and it was dry as a bone. Also my garlic mashed potatoes were cold right when they hit the table. The waitress was very nice, and was especially sweet to my 3 year old. Now I know the next thing isn't the restaurants fault but man, some of the other patrons think a bit too highly of themselves. You are at a PUBLIC course! If you want to act like you are at Aronimink, then go get a membership there. If not-RELAX. My 3 year old was behaving very well and we still got looks of disgust from others. Mind you this was 5pm on a Saturday. It wasn't 9pm. If that didn't happen I would have given this place another shot.

Only been here once. My wife and I were looking for something new in Skippack. It's in the golf club. I got the trout. I liked it a lot and the beet salad was good to. My wife got a pasta dish she said it was very good. It was not crowded and the server was very friendly. We will go back again.

Overpriced and food less than appetizing. Very small portions (2 small scallops appetizer and 3 small scallops, 3 small shrimp entree). Risotto or rice with peas? Unfortunately the latter. Disappointing. Wait staff/hostess were nice, however.

Great meal, wonderful atmosphere and the staff is super nice. Wish the restaurant was a little bigger but that is my only complaint. Either way the food is amazing!

Had lunch here last week. Very quiet and lovely setting. The food was delish with interesting choices. I had butternut squash soup and half of a Chicken Cranberry Salad sandwich witch was very good. They have a full service bar. The dining area is nice and cozy with French doors at one end of the room and a fireplace. High-top table seating by the bar. There is outdoor seating in the warm season. We are planning a wedding shower here and Sean the food and beverage director couldn't be nicer or more helpful.

My wife and I had dinner tonight at the Farmhouse restaurant on the Skippack golf course. Bad idea... It's a cozy restaurant with a nice cozy bar. That's where the fun ends. There was 1 waitress working and it was lucky that there were only 4 or 5 tables occupied. One table was on the outdoor area so she was trying to move fast but couldn't keep up. We had a roasted beet salad which was the highlight of the night. Things went down hill pretty quickly from there. My wife had twin fillets ($32.) which were tiny and covered in brown gravy (that's plain wrong). Her garlic mashed potatoes were lukewarm and stiff and there was a tiny, tiny serving of spinach. I had the Lump Crabmeat ($30.) which was actually NOT lump crabmeat but the cheap canned brownish gray shredded crabmeat. It had an overpowering vinegar (Yes - vinegar) taste and seemed like cheap crabmeat that was mixed with pepper hash and then heated up. Bad, bad idea. My garlic mashed potatoes were also crappy but the steamed broccoli was good. I don't know how dessert is there because we had enough of a bad meal.

Sublime food with good service. OK, hostess was kinda clueless, so ask about the bar in the basement. Well-stocked. Spring pea soup was AMAZING! Shrimp bisque also quite good. I had the Bourbon BBQ chicken. All components were excellent, and the BBQ sauce was wonderfully nuanced, with some spicier notes. Not Southern, and not run-of-the-mill. My wife had the duck. FANTASTIC! We'd argued over who would order which dish and I don't think either of us "lost". My wife took it easy on dessert (ice cream), but I got the dark chocolate sea salt cake. And I need to go to confession because it was SINFUL! Service was friendly, informed about the food, and very attentive.
