Such a great experience! I'm a vegetarian and I asked our server to see what the chef could make for me (there were no clear vegetarian options on the standard menu). The chef came out twice to review different menu options and then personally delivered my meal. Granted they weren't busy (we went for an early dinner) but the service was above and beyond! My friend had the meatloaf and said it was very good. I had an amazing veggie wrap with delicious charred brussel sprouts for a side. Good wine and beer selection. Will definitely return .

BEST MEAL I HAVE HAD IN FOREVER!! I ordered the "Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon", which was served with a sun-dried tomato tapenade, sunflower seeds, lemon lavender vinaigrette, risotto, and asparagus. The dish was so beautiful that I had to snap a picture. Everything on my plate was absolutely amazing, especially the risotto. Other dishes that entered my table included seafood pasta and grilled chicken, both of which also received high reviews! I wasn't planning on getting dessert, but after my delicious dinner, I knew that I had to at least try a dish from the dessert menu. I ordered the turtle cheesecake and it was delicious. I highly suggest eating outside if the weather permits. The view is gorgeous. The service was great as well. Our waiter accidentally dropped utensils while he was taking my meal away, but he made a joke out of it rather than get embarrassed. He was also happy to take a picture of the people at my table. Overall, I highly recommend Road House Grille, for it has delectable food, a lovely view, and a cordial staff.

The two stars are for the service and the outdoor patio. Maybe the worst Cobb salad I've ever had. What is described on the menu and what you get served is night and day. The little bit of greens on the bottom were not fresh, there was a clump of ham, a clump of something else, a little chopped egg white and 4 very small pieces of hot sausage. $14.95 for this??? Never again.

My girl and I stopped in here for lunch after riding the Perkiomen bike trail into town. We had originally went to a Mexican place down the street due to our casual attire but the service was horrible there and we walked out. The Road House Grille gladly accepted us in our biking clothes and we sat out back in the gorgeous patio area. We started out with a great hummus plate with veggies and practically inhaled since it was so good. I had short rib sliders which were outstanding and barely any fat, which can easily happen with short ribs. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive and really made our experience that much better. We plan to return for dinner since we were blown away with just a quick lunch visit.

Horrible service. Over 20 minutes to get a drink. Overpriced portions and undercooked meal. Staff was apologetic. Disappointed, thought it would reopen with improvement.

Went here for special B-day dinner a few weeks ago. They weren't super busy and yet it was 15 minutes until we saw a waiter and got menus. It was then another 15 minutes until our order was taken and we got water. This was a hint of things to come as the waiter was almost never around for us or for the couple other tables. The tomato bruschetta appetizer with sun dried tomato pesto didn't taste like it had even a hint of sun dried tomato's but it still tasted good, which is more than I can say for the steak medallion entrees. Wife and I both got the same entree but they looked and tasted completely different. Wife's entree had nice big medallions cooked medium rare as ordered, mine came with a smattering of small chunks of what looked and tasted like stew chuck - complete with chunks of fat and gristle, that was cooked medium to well done despite being asked for medium rare. To top it off we noticed that the table behind us that was seated just shortly before our waiter took our order received their meals about 10 minutes before us. Both food and service were very severely lacking for the price. I don't know whether we caught them on a seriously off night or they have the notion that since they're in Skippack they feel that they can get away with higher prices for a barely mediocre dining experience. Which ever the case, we won't be going back.

Just had our holiday party there last night. The restaurant made a pre-fixed menu for our group of 12 and it was perfect. The food was great and the room they gave us was gorgeous. Although the server seemed to hate his life and was grumpy he did a great job. He was very attentive and answered a lot of our questions about the history of the place. I would certainly go back again.

Wait staff was friendly but clueless. When asked what kind of wine they had the reply was " red and white". To "do you have Pinot noir" the reply was "yes" had to ask what label and he had to go check. No wine list offered. The calamari was cooked well but the sauce was bland. The crab artichoke dip was good but the few crostini that came with it were inadequate. The short rib sandwich was totally dry, the tomato and lettuce did nothing to enhance the flavor and the cheese was barely noticeable.

The Road House Grill is a old school steak house and bar in Skippack. It's easy to get to, and right on Skippack Pike / Route 73, with decent street and lot parking. The Grill is an attractive, fun venue, with a large bar, comfortable dining rooms, nooks and crannies all over, and live music. I believe the Grill shares their kitchen with Brasserie 73 next door. However, the Grill's cooking isn't nearly as good as 73's. I was here for an early lunch, and went for their penne (their brunch buffet looked promising), which had a decent amount of flavor. For dessert, I enjoyed a sweet sorbet that hit the spot. Dessert enthusiasts note: their concoctions are all made in-house! Service is on-point, efficient and friendly. Prices aren't the cheapest (read: they're region-appropriate), but you won't leave hungry. Stop in for a bite, or a drink or two - reservations recommended.

First, I'd like to say that this is NOT a steak house. The other review says something to that affect... but it is not. The Road House Grille lives somewhere between a nice restaurant and a fancy restaurant... not really being either one. What do I mean by that? Well, the decor is very nice. Neat and stylish without being pompous and assuming. The bar is also stylish and upscale, but not overly so. The dress is casual to casually nice... let's put it this way, you don't have to dress up but the table cloths and napkins are.. well.. cloth -- not paper. But don't feel like you need a jacket... or even pants... I've eaten here in shorts for lunch, no biggie. Where it gets "fancy" is the menu. You will always find a nice mixture of well thought out and well prepared dishes. There are always good beef, chicken and fish dishes. I would recommend the filet, the caesar salad and the meat loaf is out of this world if they have it. Desserts are a treat -- as always -- and the coffee is very good too! Parking can be a challenge on busy nights (not sure what the previous reviewer was talking about... maybe he went when it wasn't busy...?) especially since they share their lot and kitchen with Brasserie 73. I've had brunch, lunch and dinner here and never had a bad meal! My wife and I went here on our first data and I proposed here... it's our special place :).

Tough to beat the outdoor seating, lovely landscaping, cozy, beautiful trees, fountain, covered footbridge. Off the main road, so less traffic noise. The garlic white wine sauce on the mussels has to be the best we've ever had, better than Monks Cafe and every other place I can remember. Thicker, richer, more complex. The seafood gumbo was grand; no broth, just solid seafood and dirty rice. Among the best gumbo I've had; could find no flaws at all. Come to this place for the ambience first, and food is generally very good. Five stars, for a perfectly enjoyable morning here, today. Amy was quite gracious; neither hovering nor lacking in attentiveness. Perfect balance in a server.

I visited the Road House Grille for the first time last evening. The service was initially prompt. Our server was quick with our food and drinks. The food was mildly overpriced but, good. Th wine selection is decent and their beer choice could improve. A place offering a "fine dining" experience does not need Bud Light available. After some time it got busy and there was an acoustic trio. They did a fine job and were not too loud. After dinner hours getting a drink was a real challenge. The bartender preferred to spend his time engaged in conversation with a young lady instead of getting drinks. This was consistently the case through out the night. Worst bartender I've ever experienced. Hands down. At the end of the night our server was running around like a wild woman. Despite a few other "workers" she seemed to be the only one doing anything! Still she kept a kind, calm demeanor. Roadhouse, relax with the crazy art, get a new bartender and mix the menu up a bit. Also, drop the steakhouse bit.

We were looking for a place midway between the K of P area and lower Bucks County.. The Skippack location worked well for both parties. Parking for maybe 25 cars is located off Rt 73 at the back of the building. The bar area is open and airy. We were given the choice of dining in the Road House or the adjoining Brasserie 73. Looking back we probably should have opted for the French side. We were given a second choice of indoor versus outdoor. We decided on indoor. Missed the mark there too.. I was surprised to find very few diners within our inside dining area, typically a bad sign for 7:30 on a June summer evening.. Food reviews among the four of us was mixed.. Chicken dish was so-so, tuna for one party was very good the other not so good. My filet was very tough, a disappointment, although the sides of green beans and garlic potatoes were excellent.. Service was attentive and friendly. Dress is casual.. Upon leaving the restaurant we passed the outdoor seating area, it was nearly full !... Our two rookie mistakes; American rather then french, indoor rather then outdoor seating.. Duly noted for our next visit.. Oh, and maybe I'll opt for something other then the Filet..

Entered the roadhouse for the first time. The place looked great . There was a trio that was enjoyable and it went downhill from there. I ordered the onion soup and cheese steak egg rolls. I took one bite of the cheese egg roll Ann the Greece poured out on the plate. I ordered the filet and fries for my meal, the fries have some sort of coating on them and the grease is trapped between the coating and the fries. The meat although cooked perfectly was difficult to cook and chew,it also was lacing seasoning. A big disappointment for such a nice place. Service was reasonably slow and disorganized. Won't be back.
