When you first look at it from the outside & inside you think typical dive bar. It is an old bar but the food is excellent, never had anything I didn't like! The outdoor space is awesome & I think all the bartenders are nice & quick to get you whatever you need. I've been there multiple times & I will continue to go back! Plus for all you huge beer fans, they have a giant selection.

Dirty place ran by dirty people. It's just not the same anymore. Terrible service. Place upstairs is a hotel for scumbags who stumble around

The Horse is great! The food is consistently delicious and served hot! The owners are present and welcoming and add that personal touch! Steve is terrific and makes a great gin and tonic for our man, Victor!

The worst bar I've ever been too. First time here and will be the last time I go. Better service at other near by bars.

First and foremost- this is the only bar in the immediate area with an outdoor patio area. Food is always great- just beware of the Po boy- the jalapeño stuff is way spicier than you would think it could be. The only downside is that the patio is only open during the warm months and the wintertime regulars leave a lot to be desired.

One star for the servers!!! Four stars for the food, the beer, and the patio. If this place had servers that were just half capable the experience would be great. Had dinner with friends last Friday on the patio and got the wrong appetizer, got spilled on (without an apology) and had to hunt down our own beer at the bar (server never came around). The table next to us got spilled on also. We like coming here in the summer, great atmosphere. But please!!!! Fix the servers!!!

If I would have scored this place before last night, it would have gotten 4 stars. I went here in January with 4-5 other ladies and had a great night in the bar with the live music and impressive (and tasty) selection of beers. Went back on a warm night earlier this evening and loved the outside area. There is a table under the A/C unit that sucks though. Don't sit there! Hot air blowing on you and septic-y smell from vents close by. But... at that visit the food for all three of us was good and I particularly enjoyed being able to get a flight of beers. Went last night about 8:30 with a friend and could not, for life of us, get away from the cigarette smoke. We moved two times and tolerated a lot of smoke drifting our way everywhere we sat. We just got beers. Which was more expensive than I recall from past visits. $5 for a bottle? Yikes. I'll just head down 3 miles to the The Country Place next time. So... mostly because of the smoke, I won't be back to this place during the warm months. I can handle an expensive beer, but smoke... no.

Been coming here a long time and though I go long stretches between visits since I moved I still find reasons to make it back to sellersville and return to the old stomping grounds. Simply put this is a gastropub with the look and attitude of a saloon. The owner Dave is a craft beer sommelier and the menu has something for everyone from the bar fly to the pickiest foodie. Oh and if the timing is right you can check out the gorgeous deck seating, or catch one of the monthly beer pairing and tastings.

Was there on a beautiful Friday a few weeks ago. Patio is great. Music was great but way too loud. Shouting at a table or at the bar should not be necessary. Service was horrible. Abruptly asked if we were ready to order and immediately the server assessed we weren't were told clearly you are not ill be back and she huffed off. Never asked for the check it can't, we were not ready to leave, ordered another round which was not received well when she stormed off and threw the bucket of empty beers behind the bar. Bartenders were not attentive either. Food was good but there are plenty of welcoming options around I'd rather spend my money.

Has many beer choices that are only available at bar that were served in unclean glass. Wine pour was very small for the large price. Restroom appears to have been cleaned last week my shoes stick for a moment with every step '' heavy pee smell all the way home'' I would go here again if I became a drunk with very low standards.

While they have a great beer selection, the wine choices suffer. Not only the wine choices, but also the glasses they use to serve it in. I think it is also a small pour. We ordered burgers medium. Both were past medium. It's a neighborhood spot.

Not really a place for me. The locals support the place but it needs a total clean up. Kind of a dive bar. Money and time spent somewhere else. Just not my crowd

Got food poisoning when I went there. The bar tender was nice but I am extremely disappointed with the quality of food an cleanliness. Will not be going there again.

Scary place! Signs adorn the windows warning patrons to not enter with firearms by order of the Sheriff and another stating to keep noise down due to a challenge of their liquor license. It's a dive bar, and lives up to the name. Not a place for new customers to visit. Service was slow, but most likely due to the newness of me during my visit.

This place seems like a quaint little neighborhood haunt. It's been a bar since the 1700s and doesn't look like it's been renovated since. It was weird, but they had really good cheese fries.

Don't let old reviews and one time visitors fool you, this place has great food and awesome selection of beer! My wife and I have a few places in the surrounding area that we will stop in for dinner, drinks or just. HH snack/nip. Why choose The Horse Tavern? Because, it's just plain good. Talk beer, mingle with others, have a great meal all things that fit here. You want fried, cheap food- go elsewhere, if you enjoy good quality food and beer then stop in and give it a try.

There is someone cooking at The Horse, accurately described elsewhere on Yelp as a dive bar, who knows what they're doing. Go there and try the dinner special, odds are you won't be disappointed. Service will be hit or miss, for me it was A plus last time and a joke the time before. Great local beer (Free Will Citra Ale) on tap. Salads made with tasty baby greens, great cheesesteaks, unbelievable grouper special one night. If you're looking for a less expensive alternative similar to the Washington House down the road, give The Horse a try. You might be surprised.

How did no one write a review about this? Tuesday night was my first time here- it was awesome. Inside was nice for the area, the bartender was a cool older guy, pretty generous with the pour. great out door patio area with a large bar and TVs. I had 2 double vodkas with soda, and a shot and a local bought me a shot on her way out the door that turned into 2. I was feeling awesome when I left and my bill was like 13.50 or something awesomely ridiculous like that. It made me appreciate being home from NYC. I would def want to come back!

The food here is amazing. I know, you think i am already trashed or out of my mind, but, 1. I don't drink. and 2. the food really is amazing. The Delmonico Steak is a generous portion, and always cooked perfectly, and very inexpensive. They make their own scalloped potatoes, Their not out of a box! Fresh potatoes in a velvety smooth cream sauce. It is so good. My wife always gets The Horse salad. and by always I mean 6 times in the last 3 months! They make food for our kids as well, cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, grilled cheese. I love it there. Go in with an open mind and an empty stomach. you wont regret it!
