Ate here with a large group for their Monday night wing & $1.75 draft special. Seated right away & they took reservations for our group. I was impressed with the menu, lots of selection & burgers were huge & a lot of different options available. Quesadillas are fantastic. Wings were good, just not very crispy. Highly recommend their "boom boom" sauce for the wings. It's a combination of Sriracha & ranch. Very mild spice with a sweetness to it. Wings weren't overly sauced though. Service was slow, but that could have been due to our party of 10. I definitely plan on visiting here again to try more off their menu.

Our party of four was treated fabulously. The menu is reasonably priced. We had chili as an appetizer and it was simply outstanding. The best. Not too spicy. The elder mac & cheese is to die for. The desserts were tremendous especially the cheesecake. Price is very reasonable.

The food here is very good and the menu always seems to have that one thing you're hungry for. Still, you must try the Ed McBain burger. It will knock your socks off. Not much else to say. The staff has always been friendly, but this is one of those places where they seat you and leave you to enjoy your meal.

I spend weekends just a few miles away and have tried to like this restaurant. It has character. However the food is a mixed bag everytime with not allot of redeeming qualities except a full bar. Everytime I have ordered a medium done Kobe burger and the first time it came out rare and bleeding. Today I figured I'd try again and it came out Well Done and dry. The waitress did not come back for 20 minutes after delivering the food and by that time everyone else had finished the meal and I complained to the waitress and she just asked me if I wanted new one and did not offer a refund or discount. The Sample appetizer is huge and could feed 4.

Large menu. Had the McBain burger which was good but none of the burgers we ordered were grilled to the desired temperature. Everything was well done so why did they ask? The onion rings are good and so was the siracha chicken sandwich. Service was slow and we saw our lunch sitting in the window dying. The burgers may have been to temp if they didn't sit under heat lamps :-( We will try it again.

Great find. We had reservations for 6. We arrived and were promptly seated. Our server was Katrina. She was super. The restaurant was very clean. Nice atmosphere. The menu had a lot of items on it & naturally we had questions. Katrina knew her stuff and always smiling. We had Reuben sandwich, absolute seafood pasta, pulled pork sandwich, Mac & cheese, chicken and meatloaf and one or two other items. All different. Everything was cooked perfect. For dessert was peach cobbler & ice cream and some chocolate thing. Oh so good. Prices were very reasonable. I don't generally give five stars but this place had it all & everything was delicious. We will return.

This restaurant was excellent. Real unexpected gem. The cocktails were very good quality and extremely inexpensive. Kids Portions were large and delicious. The burger was one of the best I've ever had. I got the burger with blue cheese sriracha and fried onions. The wings were also excellent and the desert is not to be missed! Especially the chocolate cake with peanut butter icing and the Kentucky Derby pie. Don't miss your chance to eat at this local wonder!

The best place for a burger in the area! The onion rings are fresh not frozen. The also have a burger special daily. Bypass all others & try this place and you will be hooked!

Local place that has a 90 plus item menu. Don't expect super fresh or well cooked on such a huge menu- Service is friendly, efficient - (awful shirts- if I was a server there I would stage a revolt.. Give the tropics back their 80's shirts) Flow of traffic by small tables is a bit off putting. Will return but expectations are not very high

Everything you would expect from hometown restaurant. Friendly wait staff, hearty food and a slew of "regulars." We must have stood out as "out of towners" even though we grew up here! I remember being deterred previously by the number of bikes parked outside. Not my kinda crowd. At lunchtime the atmosphere was pleasant. We were seated in the bar area with high too tables although they do have larger tables for dinner time. The place is ancient (1700s) but has the modern conveniences of large screen tv's (to watch Eagles games, of course). We started off with the spinach crab dip which was served with pita and chips. It was super creamy and rich! They have a small selection of beer, but Troegs on tap is always a winner. I had the Hamin Around sandwich which is warm and melted Swiss cheese served on pretzel bread. The best. My companions had the smoke out turkey salad which was ok and the pulled pork sandwich which was fine minus the soggy bun. I would go back for the hot food and not so much the salads. All in all, a-ok!!

I ate here for the first time recently with some friends, and I'm surprised by the negative reviews. I ordered the Little Neck steamers, which were tender and the portion was huge. I also had the Queben Reuben which was excellent. The sliced pork was so tender it fell apart as I ate it. Service was friendly but extremely slow. Maybe I caught them on a good day, but I'll definetly go back for another try.

Six of us decided to try this place after a day of hiking in nearby Governor Dick Park. We called about 5:30 and asked if they could seat us and they said no problem, 6:30 would be great. Got there and were seated right away and drink orders taken. Waitress was excellent, and even brought a few tastes of the tap beer for me to try before deciding. I got the crab soup which was tomato based, three others got the creamy lobster chowder and a couple shared the three bean and beef chili. All were proclaimed excellent. Like I said, waitress was right on top of us, never had to wait for a drink refill. The dinners were served and we all got a lot of laughs out of the signature Governor Dick's salad. My pot roast plate was enormous, easily enough for 3 to share and quite tasty. The folks said their burgers were overdone just a bit from what they ordered but still enjoyable. And the salad was tasty and funny too! One of the party had a crab cake, she said it was good. Waitress came back soon after serving to see if we needed anything and then back very quickly with a requested side of brown gravy. The beer, my PB porter was yummy. Nobody had room for dessert and I took a huge to go package with me. Thanks to the unseasonably cold weather it survived overnight in the car and made for a snack for us after hiking and still enough left for dinner for me once we got home. The martinis the other diners were having looked yummy and big. Definitely would come here again and sit outside in the summer. Excellent tap beer selection, great prices and service and food was good. Win Win.

Had the OMG burger with fries and my wife had the Reuben. my burger was very good, but just a little wet but easily able to look past because of the great flavor. her Reuben was packed full of flavor as she said. Was kind of disappointed in the strawberry pie as there was more whip cream then pie but I chose it on a whim. all in all, excellent restaurant and cant wait to go back.

Great place for an after Hershey park dinner with the FAM. Kids meals at cheap and the Mac and cheese was very good. Place is kind of weathered but after hershey park who cares if the food is worth it... We will be back

Tried this place in a busy Saturday night. didn't have reservations and they were packed, so we were seated at a high top in the bar area. We were greeted promptly by a friendly waitress who gave us suggestions since it was our first time there. We decided on chili and burgers. We were not disappointed. Food was served promptly and was delicious. Our only regret was not saving room for dessert...tables around us got dessert and were raving about it. Can't wait to head back and try other menu items.

Have been here many times mostly in the summer to take advantage of the deck. Very good food, good service and super deck with a tree that is great. Also has music on some nights. Gets very crowded but has a nice bar for waiting.

Stopped here while on a trip from Northern Va to New Jersey for Thanksgiving. Having 2 kids, there are a couple things that are important to us. A wide selection of above average food and a clean shitter. This place had both, plus good service. If Hollywood ever needed a classic Central Pennsylvania diner, this would be it. Ownership and staff had pride in their work and the place was spotless. Definitely recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

The food is far below average, the bathrooms smell worse than a portapotty in 100 heat, and the place is disgustingly dirty all around. Good place for everyone in the family to get a lousy meal and probably some food borne illness! Skip this joint for sure!

I've gone here a number of times because there aren't that many place to eat in the area. The food is fine standard pub/tavern fare - ie there's something for everyone. The negative is that the service has been terrible every time I've eaten here except the first time. After being seated you're abandoned by the waitstaff. I'm pretty relaxed about things in a busy restaurant with stressed out waitstaff, but these experiences took place both in a busy and in an almost empty restaurant. The most recent time I ate here will be the last.
