Excellent wings. They are some of the best in the area. Other than wings the only other items I have tried from the menu are the cheesesteaks and the pizza. Both were pretty decent, but nothing spectacular. They have a nice little bar with tons of tv's to watch the games. If I lived closer I'd be at this place all the time.

A buddy and I decided to try this place last night, it looked interesting. As we pulled up the place looks terrific. The exterior is very attractive and the interior is super clean. I loved the huge back bar that held all the liquor and of course the taps. This place I had high hopes for! The high hopes lasted about 10 seconds. We stood there staring at the empty hostess desk waiting to be seated and finally a waitress walked by and said "sit where you want". We sat at a table right near the bar at the front window. I saw one waitress, one bartender and one girl bringing out the food from the back that was it. We sat there for probably 10 minutes before someone finally came over to take our drink order. My first question was what was on tap. The response I got? "I don't know". My second question, do you have a tap list? My response, "no, it changes so often we don't print one". HUGE MISTAKE. The exact reason you have a tap list is because it changes so much. Put up a chalk board, print a paper list, get your waitresses to memorize the list, SOMETHING. We had to walk over to the bar and stare at the tap handles. Unacceptable. The beer was good and cold, so we decided to order some appetizers. As we sat there we finally flagged down the bartender to come help us. As she chomped on her gum the entire time, I asked about the wings. I asked if they had boned and boneless, I was told both. I ordered the boneless wings and another beer (she was still chomping on gum as she talked even). We got the second beer timely, then the wings came out about 10 minutes later. They were boned, not boneless. Did she even listed to what I ordered? At that point, we were so disappointed we decided to leave and go somewhere else to eat. Paid and left. Someone needs to manage that place and manage the employees. When your waitress' don't know what beer you have on tap, you have a problem. When you have a bartender who is obnoxiously chewing on gum while you order, you have a problem. When you bring out the wrong food, you have a problem. It's disappointing, because this place has HUGE potential. TVs everywhere, great atmosphere, wonderful bar area...it has it all, it just needs someone to run it correctly. Hopefully the owner reads this and makes changes....hopefully.

Good food, staff is usually ok. Wings are good if you get them well done. A little tight and loud. Nice atmosphere and definitely worth a try.

Great sports bar with excellent food. Good selection of draft beers. One of the best places to go in the Phoenixville area

Great pizza, super atmosphere, friendly staff - can't beat it for a neighborhood sports bar - and we live in the neighborhood.

The food is nothin fancy but for a clean bar/grill & a 20-30min drive for me the food is great, delicious! I hate to put a review only cause its never packed when i go ( one of my hidden secrets since good food is really hard to come by around collegeville). The speed of service is ok but not bad, though the staff was super sweet & friendly. I have noticed it super packed on major game nights when i drive by. But if i find a pubic hair in my food like that one person who left a review & pic im seriously raising all Hell & black listing this place. (Its called shaving and wearing a hair net people! Lets make an effort).

Used to have the best garlic hot wings and pizza. As of late the food seems to be thrown together and you need to repeat your order over and over again. I haven't see the manager - heard it change - sad because it used to be a great place to dine or pick up dinner on the way home. Now I just pick elsewhere. New format of ordering wings by the lb is odd - most places order by count. Also, my last order was way over cooked and no tender juicy flavor! . Please improve so I can come back.

The grid iron used to be our go to spot. Like at least once a week. Last summer something changed and ever since the food is constantly wrong, the prices have gone up and the staff has all changed and no one ever remembers a face in there. It's a shame.

We used to frequent the Gridiron once or twice a week since moving here a year and a half ago. The service was always fantastic and food was delicious and reasonably priced. We even ordered from their catering menu for a party recently. I believe there's been a change in management or ownership recently and the prices have gone up, pizza size has gone down, and quality stinks as evidenced by the picture I uploaded of a pubic hair baked into the cheese on my pizza tonight. The first time I had this happen, I gave the benefit of the doubt even though I don't even want to know how a pubic hair made its way to my pizza...twice (a regular hair would be easier to forgive). Done with this place. Even though we live so close, we'll be searching for our new "regular" place. Edited 10 30/14: check out the "unrecommended reviews" as they are all of the one star reviews. Somehow they are filtered out. Gee, wonder who would have done that. Beware of this place! The only reason I'm giving two stars is hopefully that will keep my review visible.

Friendly service and the food was good. We had the grid iron fires which consist of cheese, bacon and sour cream. They were really good. I had a cheesesteak hoagie and my wife had an Italian grinder. Both sandwiches were good. Our server was very attentive and we never had to ask for anything she was very attentive to our needs.

I used to go here every chance I had to go out. 2 kids will kinda slow down your ability to go out to dinner. In the last year or so the service and food quality has gone from awesome to embarrassing. The pizza has no taste. The last time I ordered a dozen wings I got 11 and 6 of them had broken bones inside. Seems like the quality of the food being bought to cook is seconds. Not what I would expect from a place I used to be proud to take friends too who had never been there. I guess if you want a beer and to watch the game it's ok but don't expect much. I hope this place can turn things around!

Im from out of town and visit friends in this area often. I always make a point to stop here at least once while here sadly I will nolonger be doing so. Unfortunatly like most places new management is destroying it!!! The food is terrible the service is terrible and i was extremely disapointed the last two times i was here. The prices went up while the food went down. Best wings are now the worst wings, the pizza was gross we ended up throwing it out and our salad was blah. I took the time to download this app just to warn people to stay far away from this place and to not waste your time or money!! -very disappointed out of towner-

We opted for take out, but the restaurant was packed for a Monday which seems like a good omen! They offer most of the menu for take out, which is a plus! I ordered a plain pizza and the jalapeño poppers which are a guilty pleasure of mine! I was bummed to find them filled with cheese whiz rather than creamed cheese! First world problems really, as they were still delicious! Service was a little slow but given how busy they were and how apologetic the staff was it was totally forgivable! They offer take out beer in 6 and 12 packs for reasonable rates!too! I have to give Hannah a shout out - she provided excellent customer service! I realize it takes major cojones to say this, but this is the best pizza for miles! Big NY slices with an authentic sweet sauce and lots of cheese - delicious!

Similar to some of the other reviews we quit going to gridiron after having disappointing meals and getting poor service. One of the owners is always there and always asking how everything is...very annoying. Too bad because it was once a great place to go and enjoy a good dinner.

This is what I tell everyone: If you could have a sports bar and pizza place built in your neighborhood, this is the one you want. Since I wrote my original review the quality of this place shifted like the wind. Don't get me wrong, Gridiron has decent pizza and wings but the pizza will be under cooked sometimes and we almost never eat wings anymore. While I love having a great bar close by for when I'm in the mood for the sports thing... if you'd rather enjoy downtempo and house music... Sips has a great classical / contemporary lounge environment. While double the cost, will never let you down.

Big fan of Gridiron Bar & Pizzeria, have been going there for a few years now and the food has always been good. We love their wings! We've always gotten good friendly service and love the nice atmosphere! Two thumbs up!!

Great bar. Great food! Perfect place to watch the game. They are a little slow on food prep on the weekends and the parking lot is small, but it's worth it!

Great food, great brews, and now all you can eat Opilio crab legs on Sundays from 3-8!

Really love this place and frequent it often. They had a temporary service problem 6 months ago after losing some servers but that is long fixed. Place is very consistent for food and friendly service. Specials can be surprisingly good and it is a great, little local sports bar. Always a great selection of beer on tap too. Wings are very good also.

The Bee Sting wing sauce has a nice sweet/spicy flavor but their wings are only ok. They recently increased their prices which my family decided is not worth it for the quality of food.

I used to love this place. However, I believe it has changed management. There are many new faces, the food is just mediocre, they did away with the weekly specials and the service sucks, except for Jill. She is the lone server kept on from the previous staff. The last two times I was there we had awful service. The last time I was there, we had a new server who should really consider a career change. Not only did my wife's appetizer come out AFTER her meal, but I got the wrong meal! I ordered the tri-colored tortellini, but got the cajun shrimp and processed chicken (used to be real chicken breast) over linguine. Since we stopped off here before heading to the shore, we were on a time schedule so I just accepted the incorrect meal and dealt with it. Our visit before that we had four people at our table. 2 of us got our meals. The other two waited for about 25 minutes before we had to say something to our server. We then waited another 10 minutes before our food came out. One of those 'meals" was just a slice of cheese pizza, which is smaller and does not taste nearly as good as it used to. I have been a loyal customer since it opened, but I am now considering taking my business elsewhere. I will give them one more chance. But three strikes and you are out!.

The Gridiron USED to be an awesome place to hang out, drink beers, watch sports, and eat amazing food, and enjoy a friendly atmosphere with great customer services. However... that is absolutely not the case anymore. The new manager (tall with dark balding hair), which I wish I knew his name, is the poorest excuse for a manager I have ever encountered. I went in and ordered take out with my boyfriend (2 sandwiches and an order of fries). We decided to have a beer and wait for the food. After waiting AN HOUR, we finally got our food. After returning home, we see that my sandwich did not have the chips it was supposed to come with and my boyfriend did not get his sandwich. So, I called them. The girl who answered the phone was very sweet. I told her I did not get the food I ordered and would like to speak with the man behind the bar (as he was the one who served us). I waited on hold for 5 minutes. So, I hung up and called back. I waited on hold for another 8 minutes. Again I hung up and called back. The girl said she would walk the phone to him for me. She returns to the phone and says "I'm really sorry, but he said he is too busy right now and needs your name and number". *ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I DON'T HAVE THE FOOD THAT I ORDERED AND PAID FOR AND YOU WILL CALL ME BACK LATER?!* Ok, so I said I know this is not your fault but for a manager to act this way is insane. She said she knows it's not right, she is sorry, and that he got mad at her for asking him to pick up the phone 3 times!!!! WOW! Ok so I drove there. He looks at me and puts his head down. Take a good 3 minutes to approach me. I tell him the situation, said it was ridiculous he couldn't answer my phone called, and asked him to confirm he was the manager...in which he did confirm. I told him he is the poorest excuse for a manager I have ever seen. He told me to "vacate the property". Not a sorry or smile EVER during this entire thing. I demanded my money back and left. Please, tell me how a manager could possibly treat a customer like this?! I am not one to get upset over messed up food- I know mistakes happen. I have never spoke negatively to a manager or server no matter what, and I have never written a review online. However I felt my story needed to be shared. I am SO UPSET with this happening as I WAS a very loyal customer to the GridIron. :( Does anyone know if it is new owners, or just a new manager? Thanks!

I have eaten at other places in Phoenixville (Sal's. T.D. Alfredos, Rocco's, Xpress..) and have yet to really be impressed. I decided to get delivery from Gridiron because I was really craving wings and got the impression that they had some good ones. It didn't bother me too much that they told me it'd be a forty minute wait and I actually waited more than an hour. I deliver pizza myself and understand that sometimes it takes longer. BUT the fact that the food was below average I figured I mention this. Although the size of the wings was good and they were cooked enough (crispy), they were so dry:( All in all the wings were edible, but for the wait AND the price ($8.99 for 8) I was highly unsatisfied.

On the Wings alone u can't miss!!! Caribbean Jerk are my favorite... Stromboli's are excellent and sized great! I always get great service... Only ONE time out of Many Many visits did I get wings that were a lil dry... My suggestion tho is to eat them there or eat them hot... Don't get them and take a 40min ride and judge them LOL

The atmosphere was pleasant. The waitress knew her beer selections and brought us samples to taste. Got pizza by the slice, was disappointed that I couldn't get 'white' pizza by the slice. But the slices were big and the sauce was tasty. Took a little long for the pizza to arrive but they were attentive on our drink refills.

I have been here several times for take out, I like that they have a separate take out section and the food is decent. The wings were totally disappointing (-1 star) because I ordered them well done and they were sadly undercooked. Other than that, everything has been pretty good.

I'm not sure whether we wandered in on the wrong night or what... but my experience was unlike any of the other reviews. After reading that it was family friendly, I took my family (my kids will eat anything from hoagies to sushi to fancy-schmancy) and was extremely disappointed. The service was nonexistent. Not one hello. Not one offer to seat us or even a shout to "seat yourselves." We waited for a bit and - nothing. We decided to walk to the back to see if we could find a server - nothing. Meanwhile, the bartender didn't say a word and no one else came to help us. Maybe the food is great but we wouldn't know. After a few more minutes of standing around, we left. Extremely disappointed because we had high hopes.

I like this place a lot. The food quality is always really good and tasty. I've had dinner here twice and it's been great each time. The interior is really nice. Service is always a little lack-luster, but the food has been worth going for. The beer selection is decent and they seem to have some interesting brews including some fruity/berry-flavored beers which is great for people like me who aren't the biggest fans of more "manly" flavored beers. They always have various games playing on their many flat-screen TVs.

Nice place nestled off the beaten track. Tv's everywhere, service and food are good. Agree with the other reviewer that it's a clean place.

place has horrible service on the phone when ordering take out from the girl marisa was the name on the receipt the menu says they have 16 oz sodas when we ordered we were told they only have two liters so why put something on your menu that isnt available. then when the delivery kid got to the door he asks me how much change i want ? um excuse me i would like all of my change back you wait for a tip you dont assume right away your getting a tip.he also he admitted that it wasnt his job to deliver pizza that he only works in the kitchen why is a kitchen boy delivering pizza the pizza was not that impressive and after all our trouble on the phone just making a order they forgot our two liter bottle of soda and the delivery kid gave me a refund instead of offering to go get my soda that they forgot. HORRIBLE SERVICE ! wont be ordering from here ever again if i were you id choose some where else to go

Top notch service. Top notch cleanliness. Food is above average. The only gripe I have is I wish there pizza is a little more consistent....Great some nights. Average others. However, don't let that shy you away. Top notch establishment.
