typical frozen yogurt shop, although i would stay away if you have kids, 4 small bowls cost me $35 and that was after a 5% discount for liking them on facebook

They are just ok. They don't enough topping options and there are too many children running this location at night.

I really enjoyed this frozen yogurt place, its close and conveinant and not too expensive like some! They had a large variety of flavors, although i usually just get the same kind..cake batter or red velvet is my favorite. They also have a wide selection of toppings to anyone's liking. Towards checkout they also have different sauces to top it off with. Im obsessed with frozen yogurt!

Being fro-yo fanatics, my boyfriend and I decided to try this new place out. Upon walking in the door and almost being knocked over by all the little kids just running around, we were greeted by an employee who asked if we were ever there before and explained the typical routine of getting your yogurt with toppings and it being charged by the weight. There was a pretty fair selection of yogurts, although all of them were non-fat, which didn't bother me but everyone might not be watching their weight. They had a large selection of toppings but they were kind of underneath of a large glass window and unless you were really willing to make a far reach underneath of it, it was near impossible to get any toppings you wanted back in the 3rd or 4th row, a new setup of toppings would be my suggestion. When we went to check out there were two different registers open and about 4 employees standing behind them just talking away, two even looked at my boyfriend and I and continued talking and ignoring us. When we finally were able to find someone to ring us up she acted as if we were burdening her and simply told us the cost, swiped my card, and then turned around and went right back to talking. Although the yogurt was good, the costumer service kind of turned me off, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and blame it on them just opening up and maybe the staff isn't quite up to par. If I'm in the area maybe I'll stop in again, but I have other fro-yo places that are on the top of my list.

I was pretty happy to see a self-serve fro-yo place open up so close to home, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't there on opening weekend. The selection is pretty good, and every flavor I have tried has been delicious. I just have a few small issues. First: the toppings bar needs more fruit on it. One of the appeals of frozen yogurt joints like this is that you can get fresh fruit with your yogurt and further the delusion that you're being healthy. Second, the last time I was there, the girl who rang us up was really visibly miserable: scowling, snappish, etc. I know working with the public can really wear a person down, but being sneered at while forking over $20 for 4 yogurts is a little bit of a slap in the face, as is the tip jar on the counter for employees who literally only take your money. Similarly, on the same visit, the store was filled with employees' friends who were being loud and rambunctious, as teens often are. Again, I understand that having friends visit can help a boring shift go by more quickly, but there has to be a limit to their behavior. All in all, Toppers is a good spot to treat yourself, but the daily operation of the store needs some tweaking if I'm going to continue to stop in.

Awesome!! I love having a froyo place in the neighborhood! They even have pumpkin froyo! And tons of toppings--even more toppings than a lot of the places in Center City. And the cashier helped me "like" Toppers on facebook, using the store's iPad, so that I could get 10% off my bill. BTW, this place should not have three $ in the price field. It's not "pricey." I got a ton of froyo for $7.

I can't say too much that other reviewers haven't already said, so I'll just say that I have no complaints about the service or the products served at Toppers. Fresh toppings, a very wide variety of froyo flavors, overall it was a hit. Walking in on a Saturday night at the end of summer we expected a mob, but were pleasantly surprised that there weren't scads of teens or little kids running wild. It was a very quick in and out transaction, though if we did want to stay it would've also been a pleasant experience. The only minus is, as others have said, the prices are a bit high, though not as bad as some previous reviewers have apparently experienced. For two medium sized (small by the menu's standards) yogurts with a healthy sprinkle of toppings it was $14. I think you can squeeze quite a bit into their "small" so that's why I said it's not really THAT bad, but still it might help improve business to reduce those prices a bit. I'd definitely go back again, everything was delicious and it was a very pleasant experience.

The customer service is just as bad as they say it is. The girls at the counter are extremely unprofessinal. The first thing I notice when I step in is that all the employees are on their cell phones. My existence was unacknowledged. The yogurt wasn't all that great either; it was beyond sweet compared to other froyo joints. As I'm about to step back outside, a giant mosquito bit my leg. It wasn't even average big, it was HUGE. That thing has probably fed on numerous customers before me. Definitely NOT returning to this place.

The girls who stand behind the counter are rude and no help what so ever. Saw one of the girls stick her hand into one of the toppings next to the register...never going there again.

It's a pleasant environment. The employees were pleasant enough and there was very little interaction with them after that. It's a nice treat and definitely a nice way to end your day with others. Don't expect too much and you'll be satisfied.

real frozen yogurt, great place. with a lot of topping to add to the top of it. But alittle pricey. Look to spend about $10 if you want a lot of toppings on your frozen yogurt.

The frozen yoget it great and there are many toppings but this review is for the unprofessional girls at the front desk. The one was talking to her friend on the phone for 2 min while im standing there waiting to pay, she said ill be with you in a sec and just continued to talk about somthing on the phone. Then they constantly walk in and out leaving then cash register completely unattended. Then all of the girls friends come in about 6 of them loud and obnoxious and they all get everything they want for free. The service here is a bizzar, i almost thought i was on that mtv show boiling point!! Never again

I hate giving 1 stars so I'll throw in another star for this place for trying....or just plainly out of pity. Love the name...but no so much the yogurt. It's crowded which in a time like this is wonderful. Which made me give them a try. I've had my fair share of froyo to know that each store has their own distinct taste and variation of froyo. Which brings their own uniqueness and sets them apart from one another. This location is self serve. So all toppings and yogurt is provided and done to each individual persons wants and needs. During my visit I've seen double dipping and actually another patron use their finger to scrap off the rest of the topping. The place looks thrown together with little or no attention to detail. There was only 4-6 flavored of yogurt. You can actually see pumps and machinery through the gaps in the wall. This place is a no go for me.... but I give them a "D" for trying...

I give Topper's 3.5 stars. The yogurt was very good, and they had original tart which made me happy. The toppings were great, as they are in most froyo places. The girls working here were absolutely lovely, and the ipads at the tables were a nice touch! As other yelpers have mentioned however, the price is outrageously steep. I think the fine people of Topper's should do a little research on local yogurt price points, because these are by far the highest around.

I brought my girlfriend here for frozen yogurt and it was amazing! Compared to U-swirl, Toppers offers a discount just for "liking" them on Facebook! And no more then 10$ for two, when I was paying close to 20$ elsewhere! Definitely a healthy tasty treat and I will most definitely be back for more.

Their frozen yogurt is incredible! I find that some frozen yogurt places have a gritty taste or an even worse after taste. This place does not have that at all. They also have over 50 different toppings to put on top. The girls there are really sweet too. When you walk in they ask you if you eve nbeen here before. If not, they go through the whole ordeal with you. They also have little sample cups for you to try any and all of the flavors that day. For me, it was worth a star when I saw that almost all of the flavors are gluten free. That is hard to find. And it is just so delicious. The format of the place is awesome. Apple iPads set up everywhere so you can play games and like them on Facebook for 10% off of your purchase. The reason they lost points with me is because of their price. It is just outrageous. My boyfriend and I spent 18$ on three normal looking ice creams. But you have to give them credit. They do alot to try to lower the prices. The whole 10% off if you like them on Facebook or tag yourself with them on facebook. Also, cards that if you get 10 yogurts, the next one is free. You have to give them a little bit of credit! Overall, awesome place. I will definitely be back.

I think it's hard to mess up Froyo too much, the flavors are ok and they offer nice discounts for liking them on Facebook. But it's not the most professional spot. It's all a certain age group working to serve the same age group. I get it, it's not great or terrible, just average.

Over the last several months, new shops have been occupying The Court on Grant Ave in NE Philadelphia. My wife and I wanted to try Muscle Maker Grill (if it's good enough for the Jersey Shore guys, it's good enough...nevermind...). When we pulled up, we noticed Toppers Frozen Yogurt. This place is fantastic. It had self-serve frozen yogurt with every single topping you could imagine. The environment was nice as well, as several Apple iPads were set up all around the store, so you could play games/facebook/tweet while eating. As far as the selection goes, there were (16) on the day we went, and at $.40 an ounce, is a relatively inexpensive treat. I think (2) large went for $8, but we loaded up on toppings! Overall, my experience was good enough to make this my first Yelp review!

Frozen Yogurt places have been popping up left and right in the Philly suburbs and surrounding counties. However, Northeast Philly seemed immune to this craze. If you wanted some Froyo, you'd have to drive a bit, either to an out of the way city location, or up to places like Oxford Valley. Not great choices if you want a quick treat. Thankfully, NE Philly now has a bonafide spot to check out. Toppers opened at the new Grant Avenue shopping center very recently. Like many of the trendy new Froyo spots, this is a self serve place. You come in, pick up your bowl, choose your frozen yogurt(s) and then pile on any toppings you like. This place has a few great nuances that separate it from the pack. For starters, you can have a waffle cone bowl or a plain bowl. When I went in, every flavor they had was fat free (a major, major plus for me). But being fat free didn't mean they skimped on the selection. They had seasonal choices like pumpkin as well as other interesting flavors like cheesecake and mint. Those looking for the classics like vanilla and chocolate will find them listed as well. The toppings bar had a great selection. From an assortment of nuts, to cookies, candies and all the expected goodies. the place itself has a stark bright white modern design to it. But what will really draw you in to staying around is that they have built in iPads throughout the room. They have them on the counters as well as in some of the booths. So you can browse the web, play a few games and keep the young ones occupied while you try to enjoy your dessert. That was a really nice touch and something usually reserved for more center city, college area establishments in the Philly area. It's really a shame it opened so late in the year, as it would have probably benefited fro ma summer opening. Regardless, it's nice to see the area getting some different types of shops. My wife and I will be hitting this place up any time we need a nice cold treat.

This is my 1st visit. I liked that they had a good selection of frozen yogurts & an even better selection of toppings. They have small & large sizes. I got the small. The small size gives you a good amount. The small size is a large size at a frozen yogurt place in downtown Philly. A few people wrote in their reviews that the prices are high. I don't think so. They are no different than when you go to other frozen yogurt places. I actually think you get more for your money here. The thing I didn't like was that the employees stare at you when you put your toppings on. I'm paying for the toppings, not them so no need to stare. It's my money and I'll put as much as a want on. I also didn't like that they gave 10 percent to a customer ahead of me in line when they told her if she signs up to their Facebook page but the lady couldn't load it on her phone but they still gave it to her. They wouldn't give me the 10 percent. I don't have Facebook but most places will give you a percentage off for Yelp or Foursquare. She did tell me if I have Instagram she would give it to me. I do have Instagram and told her that. She didn't reply to that so then I asked her how do you go about getting 10 percent off for having Instagram she said you take a picture of your frozen yogurt when you take it to the table & tag them. I understand what she was saying but you have to pay 1st & then take the frozen yogurt to your table so then how would I be able to get 10 percent off? It wasn't fair that she gave it to that lady that said the page wasn't loading & didn't even show the cashier her Facebook page but I couldn't. The thin mint flavor was good. So if you come here they have a good selection but the service sucks.
