This is a new buffet restaurant that opened in Lower East Falls over the weekend. As far as buffets go, this one is the real deal. It is new and bright and clean and huge. The prices are in line with other Asian buffets and the selection here is better. I like the sliced meat selection that they have including, Prime rib, roast turkey, roast beef, baked ham and meatloaf, each one you could cut and serve yourself They have a full salad bar and the Teppanyaki grill is amazing, which includes grilled steak to order. We all know that sometimes buffet places usually serve subpar meals, but this spot is above all that. My only complaint is that the plates are small, but then again you need to get some exercise when you're stuffing your face! And another good thing- The hostesses are cute!

Slightly above average food. Fair to poor service. There are lots of choices on the menu, so you will probably be able to find something here. I don't eat shellfish, so I can't vouch for any of that. However I did notice lobster, crab, etc. They have all the usual Chinese dishes you would expect and they are just ok. But they are usual cheap, so you get what you pay for. My last visit was on New Year's Day and they charged a day long, overpriced, $14 rate. It's usually $7 for lunch and $11 for dinner. The service was pretty bad. It's a buffet, so you don't need much from your servers other than drinks and silverware. But that seemed challenging on this day. They argued with my sister and her husband over whether the asked for ice. Then another server got an attitude when my other sister asked for a spoon because there weren't any in the bin. I'm not going to say don't go here, but be prepared for bad service if you're servers are having a bad day like they were my last time here. Food's ok and there's lots of variety and it's usually pretty affordable.

This place is horrible! The food is dried or without flavor. White rice was hard as nails, and service was slow. It took 20 plus minutes just to get our drinks! Yes there is a lot of food to choose from, however it is clear the food has been drying out for a long time! Cost for one adult & two children, ages 4 & 6, $24.35! Including just two drinks. Waste of time and money.

When it first opened it was average now this place is trash. They pile you up in one section and the service is despicable. Do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more for better environment. And when you go to complain to management the whole "I don't understand English" thing is getting old. Stear clear.

We live in East Falls and probably eat here several times per month. The price and food quality, plus the sushi and hibachi grill fits our need for good food fast.

Yuck. As one person previously stated, this isn't east falls, it's nice town. Definitely your typical "hood" buffet. Food quality was very poor. Soda and fruit punch was watered down, the teppenyaki was not good at all... Everything here was pretty much no better than what I could get from the hood Chinese corner store. I thought that I was walking into a really good buffet judging by the reviews, but I will not be returning. My stomach is still upset and I ate here over 5 hours ago.

I went the buffet several times and love this place for their price and food selection. I like the tappanyaki and noodles that the chef will cook as your selection. Beef Pho tastes great. Their Chinese food are delicious. For their price, I am very satisfied. I will definitely come back.

When this place opened, it was decent. Good has taken a turn for the worse. Don't do it to yourselves.

Terrible! Seafood? Shrimp only! The sets are empty and the foods are cold, over cooked. Vegetables are dry, tough, like they have been cooked over hundreds of times. The grill is inedible, it's too salty. Nothing is fresh here. Will never come again!

The selection is okay. They definitely need more veggies. However, everyone I went with got an upset stomach after eating here. :/

First off: This restaurant is not in East Falls, it is in Nicetown. It is a standard "hood" chinese buffet, albeit in a larger and nicer building. The salad bar was super plain and unappealing and the sushi is outright disgusting. The chinese food is better, but still not that great. The do have some surprising choices, including crawfish and crabs, but I was too scared to try either. I didn't have the Teppanyaki, but that did look quite good. The fact that there is a tip jar just for the Teppanyaki chefs probably helps. Also, as the other reviewer pointed out the sliced meat selection also looked decent. The prices are pretty cheap, which helps balances out the quality of the food. Bottom line is this: if you are a foodie or a vegetarian, steer clear. If you're more interested in price and selection, then you're probably okay.

I enjoy this buffet. I really love the hibachi menu and the sushi. Although not quite as good as the other one off 81 in the mountains but still for a new Asian buffet in the hood pretty good.

$7 lunch, and 10% student discount. this awesome, way cheaper and way better than dining hall food. I like how they have crawfish on ice for lunch. I haven't been to the dinner here yet though.

This restaurant is in the (relatively) new Baker Square shopping plaza on Roberts Street near Fox Street. The restaurant is surprisingly large and has a wider food selection than many other Chinese buffet places I visited. Unlike most Chinese buffet places I've visited, you have to pay up front (i.e. before you sit down to eat) but this is understandable given the location. The main downsides are (1) service - during peak periods there may be lines to get in, and you'll wait a while to get your drinks, and (2) the food being out on steam tables for long periods of time - the rice and some of the seafood items get dried out and hard. I couldn't point to any particular favorite items on the buffet - all were ok, but nothing to write home about. If you live or work in the neighborhood and keep expectations low, you may be pleasantly surprised - but if you're considering traveling any significant distance to eat here, you're probably better off staying home.

Two of us went to have dinner at this place on a weekday and this was the worst experience we have had in a Chinese-buffet at Philadelphia. We reached there at around 9 pm. They were supposed to close at 10:30pm, and so we were expecting that they would have enough food. I was extremely disappointed because many of the trays were empty and the others had very little amount of food. They were even not re-filling many of the dishes. In addition, the food was cold, and the taste was horrible. The onion rings were hard. The number of chicken items were much less than the other places. I also got a bad smell from the crab meat salad. In the sushi bar, they had only 3 piece of sushi that looked very unimpressive. After requesting a number of times, they made two rolls for us which tasted okay. The hibachi was the only thing that I could eat. Overall our experience was very bad and I don't want to go there again to waste my money.

I am usually not a fan of buffets. They usually are dim disgusting places and have very limited selections of greasy, over-salted food. But this one seems different/promising maybe because it is new. The entire shopping center is new and well lit. But for some reason, no one sees the freshly painted parking lines. It was as if they were in such a hurry to eat, they just stopped the car anywhere and got out. Cars were on the sidewalks, up the curbs, in the middle of the lanes, poking out of spaces, double parked, etc.. At least they have a surprisingly good selection of food. Although biased towards Asian, they had classic American, as well as Italian and Mediterranean foods and tons of fruit/desserts. They also have a cutting board and grill stations where you can pick your own ingredients and have them cooked for you. This is perfect if you are going out with a big group of friends who can not agree on one restaurant. No Mexican food though, which seems pretty rare in this neighborhood anyway. Pretty much everything was above average. Seafood and sushi were big hits. Desserts and fruit were fresh. Chicken fingers had a fishy taste probably from sharing the same fryer. Fortune cookies were stale. Soups were hit and miss. On the upside, this is the first buffet I have been to where no one got sick from the food afterwards. FYI, for some odd reason you have to be seated by a hostess and then wait for your waitress to come take a head count and your drink orders. You have to ask the waitress for refills too. You can not just grab a plate and find your own seat. You can not just go to a dispenser for drinks, not even water. The utensils seem to be hidden throughout the dining area. If you find a stash of forks, grab a bunch for your table to save from them from hunting around the dining room. It was also odd that they have 2 different types of paper napkins. The ones used for place settings are normal folded types you get at fast food joints everywhere. But the ones in the dispensers and teeny tiny good for nothing single sheet tissue paper squares. If this was an attempt to save money, it was a bad move because you end up using piles of tiny napkins rather than 1 or 2 normal ones. But hey, it is all you use for $10.99.
