My daughter and I enjoyed our food very much. We had the wonton soup, scallion pancakes and general tso's. Everything was fresh and made to order.

Visited: Thursday - February 26, 2015 - 12 NOON I've dined with a dear friend of over 30 years in several differently themed restaurants. We've ALWAYS AGREED on our restaurant experiences. The key word is agreed - sometimes we enjoyed our restaurant selection sometimes not. Not this time. She repeatedly expressed joy of her food choices while I repeatedly feigned enjoyment in mine. We were provided menus that boldly stated "All You Can Eat $6.50". She ordered the wonton soup, egg roll, and asparagus with chicken. I ordered the wonton soup, crab rangoon, egg roll, and the sesame chicken. My dining friend recalled when she ordered the Sesame Chicken on a previous occasion, it was delivered without the sesame seeds. She had to ask for the sesame seeds. The wonton soup contained too much pepper, the crab rangoon was tasty, the egg roll was remarkably bland. The sesame chicken was delivered WITHOUT the sesame seeds - as my dining friend experienced. At first, I thought that the seeds were cooked into the food but closer inspection revealed none. The server sprinkled sesame seeds on the top of the food. There were no apologies or offer to replace food. The crust was hard and barely palatable and the chicken was virtually missing. This experience was closer to "All You DARE to eat $6.50". The irony is a $3.00 charge ".....for "wasted food". I have no plans to return. I hope my friend understands.

Always my favorite neighborhood spot to grab Chinese food. I believe they might be under a new owner, or the owner added new things like a Thai menu. There lunch and dinner specials are always a great deal!

Now that it has NEW owners this place is NO longer any good. Nothing is good. There's no more Szechuan Shrimp! That was the best chinese dish ever. I wish I knew where the old/original owners went.

Consistently the best Chinese food in the northeast. It's under new management, but the food is as good as if not better than before. Excellent shrimp fried rice, wonderful yeh yang shrimp, outstanding shrimp and lobster sauce, yummy sweet and sour shrimp. Maybe I'll order something other than shrimp one of these days. I don't agree with one of the other reviewers who thought diners don't get their money's worth. I've never walked away from a meal here anything less than satisfied. For a treat, try their combination wonton egg drop soup. The new owners have introduced a selection of Thai dishes. I've only had the curry so far, but it was a treat, especially since I'm not usually a fan of it. Give this place a try. You won't regret it.

Came here once several years ago. I never had such awful Chinese in my life. It was borderline inedible and the facility was dated and unclean. I would never recommend coming here. EVER.

Picked up the Dragon and Phoenix for dinner to go last night. Giving it two stars only because neither the chicken or the shrimp were over cooked. Otherwise, it would be less. There was no flavor to either. The menu says this dish is spicy and when ordering I replied yes when asked if I wanted it spicy. No spice at all. Definitely not worth $17. Way overpriced.

The taste is good but the portion to cost ratio is heavily off-kiltered

This is my runner up Chinese dine in establishment in far NE Philly. The offerings are those typical of any Chinese restaurant. I have not dined here in quite a while but I remember most things being very pleasant and the staff being friendly. I will have to skip my favorite and give this runner up another shot at the title sometime soon to give a more detail review. Until then - stay tuned.

So far so good with the two times I've eaten, once in, the other take out. Routine favorites like dumplings and lo mein are outstanding with a strong speciality menu. Wished they delievered, but happy they have a bar and byob. Surprised to learn of the connections to yangming and nectar. Can't wait to try the sisters on the main line

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
