Generally speaking I don't like franchises because they are usually mediocre but usually that's not the case with Primos. This particular primos is sub par. Subs are slopped together and meat isn't always fresh. There are better primos out there just not in the northeast. (Note that the primos at Mechanicsville and Street road have the same owners but seem to serve a better product) Personally I'd rather go to meatheads at Grant and Academy

Love these guys. Man, I really do. Wife and I had the chicken diablo and turkey breast lite. The seeded roll is similar to the ones they serve at Nick's Charcoal and John's Roast Pork in South Philadelphia. The meats are of high quality (thanks to Thurman's), the sharp provolone is sharp indeed, and the veggies they stack on are not of the "rehydrated" variety found in other "sub shops" that rhyme with TubDay. We stacked our subs with the suicidal Italian long hots because, well, we're Indian and so we can handle it! Check out Primo's if you haven't yet (shame on you for waiting this long) and order anything- believe me- you'll thank me later.

Wow. I have been going to Primos since my dad took me when I was a kid. They used to only have a few places in the city, now I think they have over 30 or something. They have really good hard rolls and slice the Thurmann's lunchmeat fresh for the hoagies. By and far my favorite hoagie place of all time. Try the Big-T Diablo. Spicy turkey and ham with pepper jack cheese. Can't think of anything more delicious right now.

Hands down great food, quite expensive but absolutely worth every penny! All Hoagies are made fresh to order, and they pack on the fixings! I personally order their famous Schwartze everytime their homemade russian dressing is to die for! They do close early so remember if you want the the best hoagie in Northeast Philadelphia you have to get there before 8 o'clock ;)

Had to short a start cause sometime my sides are forgotten which sucks when I forget to check too but in love with the slim T, wish they were open longer hours.

I love primos. We order out from here every Sunday for lunch, it's a family tradition. I usually get the chicken cutlet diablo and it's amazing. It's not Sunday without Primos.

Their hoagies are the absolute best you will ever have. From the meats to the seeded rolls, Primo is king in a town that prides itself on its sandwiches.

I was headed down to the Phillies game and I wanted to pick up a couple of hoagies to eat in between cheers. I found out the South Philly location closed at 4, so I opted to grab the sandwiches in the north east and bring them down with me. I was a tad wary using a location that was not the original - in the heart of hoagie country. I had nothing to worry about. The Northeast Primos is nestled in the corner of the Blue Grass Plaza shopping center. The interior is extremely clean and bright. Along with their famous sandwiches they offer party platters. Olives, cheeses, lots of mouth fillers perfect for ingesting while watching a sporting event. The staff there is extremely friendly and informative. Their famous sandwiches live up to the hype. The meat is fresh and of extremely high quality. They use seeded rolls on all but the small sized hoagie. Another thing I wasn't sure about, but once I tasted the seeded roll combined with the oil and delightful Italian meats I forgot all my worries. Primos makes a great sandwich and this location has liberal hours, a pristine shop, excellent service and it is beyond simple to get to. I'll be back and I'll continue to tell everyone else to check it out.

Best hoagie in town! The Big T or the Spicy Italian with hot pepper shooters is a must have. I come to Primos for all hoagies and any tailgating food.

I went here really wanting to like it. My wife has raved about other locations so we thought we'd give this one a try since it's close to home. It was a huge disappointment. We got a couple of hoagies and a buffalo chicken cutlet sandwich on the recommendation of the girl who took our order. All if the sandwiches come on a very hard roll. If your into that, good for you but this is not even close to a traditional amaroso roll you'll get nearly everywhere else. The hoagies had very little meat on them but the quality was good. The chicken cutlet was baked and was obviously frozen. My chicken was actually still cold in the center! I could not eat it. When ordering, there are no prices on the board just calorie info. While that's good to know, it would have been nice to know that my 3 sandwiches where going to run $58! Really? You actually need to ask for a take out menu to see the pricing. And I emphasize ask because they had none on the counter. I wasn't the only one taken by surprise by the pricing as another couple came in and ordered a couple of sandwiches and were presented with a $34 total. The wife while paying actually turned to her husband and said, " I hope it's good because that was your lunch money for the week". I should have known it was a bad sign when the workers ordered out for pizza while I was waiting for my order to be done. I know this chain has a great rep and maybe this is an isolated incident but I will not be returning especially after my kids tried their hoagies and asked us never to go back. Between area steak shops like Steves and Wit or Witout and hoagie shops like slacks and Greenmans, I'll never make this mistake again.

I have been here twice with my husband, and have yet to be disappointed! To me, this is the quintessential hoagie, and that's where it's at! I've only had the Audie, and hubby gets the Sharp Italian, and both are delicious. Plenty of meat and toppings, and always a tasty treat when visiting Philly. I definitely think it's worth the price, especially when you think about how if you go to "SubGay," you're paying almost the same price as Primo for a mediocre sandwich. Skip the sub, go for the hoagie!!

It's gotta be one of the best damn hoagies in Northeast Philly !! I used to think Greenman's on Robbins Avenue was the best, but Primo's got them hands down. I still like Greenman's, but I think One more thing, I'll never eat another hoagie from Wawa ever again. They were O.K. if you were starving & there was nothing else to eat, but Primo's gives you a ton of meat & the roll they give you is delicious !! Give me Primo's or give me death ! Lol !!
