This deli is great! They have all kinds of salads and sandwiches, and the service is fast - perfect for office workers. The salad I am currently enjoying - the Jewish Chef Salad - is so good because not only does it include delicious pastrami, roast beef, corned beef, turkey, and swiss, but it also contains veggies that most delis and pizza places don't bother to put in a salad such as mushrooms and broccoli. And the croutons are made with marble rye! The best part though is that this place is accessible from the underground, so I don't have to go out into the cold air to get my lunch!

What a find on my adventure to Philadelphia! Try the kimchi bulgogi cheesesteak. This was so delicious, I ordered one to take home.

Finally came for the bulgogi cheesesteak and boy am I glad I did. Great taste. Wish there was a little more meat or maybe some additional toppings to it but all around really enjoyed it. This is a cool spot to come to if you're craving a cheesesteak but want something a little different. Definitely a causal or take out spot though. I will definitely be back.

Most sandwich combos come with a pickle, a side, and a drink. Also, most can be had as a half sandwich or a whole. Naturally, I got the pastrami sandwich- whole- on marble rye. The lightly toasted marble rye was a very awesome addition to the sandwich. You can't find that everywhere. The pastrami is probably as good as it gets for a small non-Jewish style deli. Not as good as 4ths or Kibbitz room, but very enjoyable to eat. I was expecting a bigger sandwich for the almost $9 combo. I was hoping for something so big I couldn't even finish. Not the case, I ate every last bite. Upstairs is a randomly decorated seating area.

Definitely my favorite place to eat in Philly. The sandwiches are largely delicious, and the perfect size. Every sandwich I've tried here has been awesome, but my favorite has been the Corned Beef Reuben. It's just oh so delicious. Can't wait for my next trip to Pastrami & Things!

Was feeling a bit peckish for lunch today, so I stopped in here to try the eponymous pastrami sandwich. I decided to go with the half size, along with a cup of the matzo ball soup. I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's not gourmet, by any means, but it is a solid, Kosher-deli-style place to get a good sandwich. It's not the heaping portion you get over at Fouth Street, either, but you also won't be paying $14 for a sandwich. The pastrami I had was actually incredibly good, though. It tasted very fresh, and appeared to be sliced just moments before putting it on the sandwich. The meat was crusted around the edge with spices and whatnot, as pastrami should be. The matzo ball soup was tasty, with plenty of salty-matzoy-chickenbrothy goodness. I didn't eat in, so I'm not sure what the vibe is like in the upstairs dining area, but as far as a place to grab a take-out sandwich for lunch goes, this does very nicely.

I mostly just go here for the occasional breakfast sandwich. It's a little more expensive than the food trucks, but they let me have cheddar instead of Kraft American cheese, on the bagel of my choice so I'm a fan. They also have awesome blondies if you are craving something sweet.

I've been here several times and the reason they get only two stars is because they seem to skimp on the important ingredient in ' Bagel with Cream cheese' the actual cream cheese. This morning I ordered the Bagel with Cream cheese and Lox. There was lox, cucumber, tomatoes and I could barely taste the cream cheese....I couldn't even tell there was cream cheese on the bagel. Also, The bagel tasted stale and I thought they baked fresh every morning? Truthfully, I've had better sandwiches/bagels in the past from in the past but feel they've declined in the last couple years.I rarely go here anymore and now can see my hesitation... Besides, I'd much rather go elsewhere for my Bagel with cream cheese and lox (like my coffeehouse in University City.) ....

This deli is my favorite go-to lunch spot, especially when I cannot decide on anything else or I just plain don't feel like walking far. The service is the standout for me - always attentive and pleasant, not to mention accommodating. The food is nothing spectacular, just solid sandwiches and other lunch fare for reasonable prices.

I really like the everything bagels at Pastrami and Things... I went today and asked for an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and sliced tomato. They were out of veggie, so I ordered chive instead. I watched the guy make it my sandwich and he just spread (a generous amount of) plain cream cheese on the bagel and then sprinkled dried chives from a container on top. That seemed unusual to me but maybe not that big of a deal? Anyway, it's pretty quick and inexpensive, and the bagels are good. So i would recommend it if you need something quick on your way to work!

We went here for lunch as a walk in because we were at the Westin and the Sonesta hotels. It was great! Really good pastrami and corned beef sandwiches; moist, warm and tasty! Had the half sandwich, which is just less meat but still on three slices of bread. My other son had the buffalo chicken cheesesteak which he also liked . Would highly recommend this place. Good pickles too.

Their whole wheat bagels are delicious, but a whole dollar extra just for egg whites? That's ridiculous. Basically I paid $1 for MAYBE 1 extra egg. Luckily, the sandwich was delicious, so it was worth it.

Just grabbed a ham and Swiss sandwich on "wheat" bread. I paid $8.05 for one of the more plain sandwiches I've eaten since my mom came to visit, complete with tasteless iceberg lettuce and crunchy pink tomatoes. The accompanying pickle was limp and the potato salad was like pebble soup. Take the time and go to Kennedy Food Garden on 19th and JFK, it's a delicious value.

Tried it out for the first time this afternoon. Got a load of tasty food, including greens, meats, and bread, for under nine bucks. A good alternative if you want a bit less than the heaping meat sandwich of the more typical Jewish deli. I'll definitely be back -- not for the decor, clearly, but for the food.

I had to stop halfway through my sandwich and write this. While I've only had their turkey, there's no way i could give it anything less than 5 stars. I don't know how they cook their turkey breasts but it's absolutely perfect. I wish i could have them cook a turkey breastfor thanksgiving for me. So good!!!!

It's pretty bad when you can't make a decent sandwich from the meat you use in your business title. I have had the pastrami sandwich here. The meat was thin, dry, and very stringy. Today coworkers talked me into getting a breakfast sandwich. I went with pastrami forgetting my last experience 3 months prior. The meat was -I kid you not- burnt to a crisp. Looked more like charred bacon, and was extra crispy. I think these guys need to take a little trip to reading terminal market or to katzs to see how pastrami is supposed to be done. The service was slow to boot.

Like many others we stumbled into Pastrami and Things because it was so close to our hotel. My favorite breakfast places are these "delis" with egg sandwiches on nice rolls and coffee for a reasonable price. The breakfast was tasty and the rest of the menu looked good too and I was wishing we could try the lunches. What makes this a 5 star is that on the second day when we came in for breakfast they remembered us! They knew which kind of roll we liked, who had fried, who scrambled and ketchup. If I lived in Philly this would be my everyday breakfast spot.

No complaints here. Good 5 dollar chip, soda, and hoagie special. This place crunches out delicious sandwiches like clockwork. Great for a quick lunch if you're one of the center city office cube slave types (me). Try the smoked turkey.

This is one of my favorite go to places for lunch in Center City. You can get a turkey pastrami special (with coleslaw and russian dressing) on rye bread for under 6 dollars. I always get 1/2 sandwiches, because they are enormous and loaded with meat. You get a side salad or chips with every sandwich. Also a huge fan of their whitefish salad and grilled cheese with bacon. The people that work there are really nice and never have to wait too long for your lunch. Again, the prices are awesome for Center City. The same sandwich with a side at Pikkles Plus just down the road would cost you about 9 bucks.

get a whole beef brisket on rye with horseradish and gravy on the side, and potato pancakes. your cardiologist will not approve, but thats a tasty sandwich. sometimes you want a good deli sandwich without the enormo-jewish deli sandwich experience, so you come here for lunch. most people get takeout, so you can always find a table in the large dining room upstairs.

Good sandwich at reasonable prices for the neighborhood. The lunch specials (look for a piece of paper taped to the counter, which I missed) sound especially tempting. But there was so much oil it just rolled down my shirt. I was overcharged, and had to wait after two customers who were behind me had been served. I can't but help thinking it may have to do with their suits, or something else. I may give it another chance some day, but it won't be soon.
