Good ole M&M-you've never failed me yet! I used to go here every Sunday after mass when I was in grade school. We would get a huge breakfast and only have to pay like three dollars each. Don't get me wrong, this place is not romantic whatsoever. It's warm in there in the summer and freezing in the winter. But the food is cheap and the quality is, well, diner quality. Definitely never been disappointed here. You can also experience authentic polish food if that's your thing.

One of the last gems left in the area. Family owned and operated, the home made fresh food is delicious! You do have to get there early to get a booth. But tgere is counter seating. Great food, great service and great people. You must try this great old style luncheonette.

I am currently on a luncheonette kick and spurred on by moving back to my old hood of Port Richmond, where this restaurant is, and by the review of Mallory D I decided to check out a little spot I always knew existed but never even considered going in. I think that is going to be a theme as I start frequenting all the Polish spots in the neighborhood I was repulsed by as a child (look, the food just doesn't appear or smell appetizing to a non -Polish kid). Anyway, I stopped in today for lunch to check it out and immediately knew what I needed to try: tripe soup and pierogies. I've never had tripe soup before, I've had some tripe in a Pho, but never was tripe the star of the show. It is a very off putting ingredient, especially if done wrong. But I gotta say, I was impressed, this soup was really really tasty. The tripe was not chewy at all and some might even say, tender. Lots of good spice in this soup. Thumbs up. Mallory D also states that this place makes the best pierogies in Port Richmond, and they were delicious, and much bigger than others I have had. I only had room in my belly for 3 out of 6 at lunch after soup, but I definitely took them home and had them for dinner. They were really good. I only give 3 stars, because, I don't know, it is a no frills small luncheonette, which I can't give the 5 stars I would give to a Vetri or whatever, but I was completely satisfied with my meal and will definitely be back to.

With food like this, how could anyone be sad in Poland? The delightful carb-induced stupor that results from potato pancakes and pierogies is surely the key to world peace. Anyway, I digress. M&M is a great place to experience authentic food in very Polish-centric Port Richmond. It's also a great place to play my favorite game in Polish establishments, count the Pope John Paul 2nd likenesses. For roughly the price of a Wawa sizzli, you can get a tasty and fresh breakfast sandwich. They also have a lot of standard club-sandwich type diner fare. But the real showcase of this little hole in the wall is the pierogies. Growing up in a Polish hood, I know a good pierogies when I taste one, and these were delicious. Then again, potato wrapped in dough and dunked in butter would be hard to eff up! But seriously, Mrs. T ain't got nothin' on M&M. M&M is open 7 days a week from 7am-3pm. If you find yourself hungry and lost in the mean streets of Port Richmond, please stop in for a dose of Eastern European comfort food. I would say you won't regret it, but you probably will the next time you weigh yourself. But still.

I have never try polish food before, after reading the highly remarks from other reviews, I took 4 friends with me to have lunch there, (they only serve breakfast & lunch). the place is small, can hold 34 persons, One chef cook outside and anothe kitchen behind in the back. they are relatively busy, with only one waitress and they talk with Polish language(I guess) with most customers. I ordered Potato pancake and a cup of carbage soup, The Potato cancake was hot, it burn my lip and my cheek, because I was hungry after wait for 52 minutes. The soup was ok. they are under staff, the chef and waitress have to take care the bills, I am not a friend of food handler touching the money. I got stomarch ache after an hour. My friend (Polish) with me said I would not like this kind of food, she knows it. I like adventure, but this one do not go too well.
