The charming owner told me that all the chicken and vegetables are sourced locally. You can taste the difference. Yum!

This is a great stop for a quick lunch of high quality food. The chicken tenders (#9) were crispy outside and moist inside, a combination seldom found. The chicken with cashews (#1) was a tasty dish of chicken, vegetables, and cashews heaped over rice and freshly prepared by the staff as you waited. This is an exceptional fast food establishment. We plan to come back here on our next day visit to Philly.

This spot is in the Independence Mall food court, within steps of the Visitor Center, Independence Hall, etc. Skip the fried chicken; instead get the tenders or the half chicken with rice. Inexpensive ($6-$8) and quick; it makes a great pit stop while touring Historic Philadelphia.

Located in the Bourse building, this place is a real gem. Fight your way through the endless droves of tourists and students, resist some of the more typical food court choices and go to Liberty Chicken. Positives - The couple that own this place are super, super nice people. They're always very engaging, friendly and just genuinely nice people. I almost always go on cheat days and it's near impossible for me to resist their homemade chicken fingers. Crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. These chicken fingers are very legit. I also love their homemade honey mustard. Besides the chicken fingers, they have freshly prepared chicken kabobs, bourbon chicken, rice platters and different salads. The prices are more than reasonable as well. Negatives - None. Never had a bad or shaky experience here.

Still the best fried chicken in Philadelphia! Outrageously good. They use fresh chicken, never frozen, and use fresh oil in the fryer. You will taste the difference!

I love this place! I began working in the Bourse Building almost a year ago and my coworkers would tell these horror stories about food poisoning and rats, etc. about a lot of the places in the food court downstairs. They said, "only eat at "Mexico" and Liberty Chicken". I was always so skeptical, but a few weeks ago I gave Liberty Chicken a try and daaaaaang, it's good! Everything is fresh and homemade and the couple that owns it are like the Asian parents I never had! They always ask me where my coat is and why I'm eating lunch so late while preparing a heaping bowl of chicken terryaki or some extra crispy chicken fingers. This is totally delicious comfort food hiding in plain site!

Umm... Liberty Chicken isn't closed. It's open every day, and is delicious. I frequent this place during lunch breaks. I like the bourbon chicken platter with rice and veggies, or the chicken fingers and fries if its "one of those days". It's in the bourse food court under the sign that says "CHICKEN"

THIS PLACE IS NOT CLOSED!!!! Their chicken fingers are awesome and they come with a home made honey mustard. They are crispy and delicious. Also a fan of their whole rotisserie chicken, the flavors are explosive!

BEST CHICKEN IN PHILLY!!! I came for a visit from New York and was craving some delicious chicken--a friend recommended this small restaurant inside Bourse building and I was so happy she did! Fresh and delicious chicken fingers cooked PERFECTLY with delicious honey mustard (make sure you ask for this--its homemade!) HIGHLY recommend this.

Liberty Chicken is the best of the best for good food fast. Located right in the Bourse building. Great for those on jury duty or visiting Independence Hall!! We love their rotisserie chicken, of course the chicken fingers, the bourbon chicken, and the apple curry soup (only available in the winter). We've gotten to know the owners. I believe from Thailand. Great people, great food. All made fresh daily!!

Out of the places to eat from the food court, this place is recommended for price and taste. We had their today special which was chicken fingers and fries. Definitely decent taste compared to other chicken places I've had. I wanted to try their half chicken but time didn't allow it. Located at the back end of the food court. It's not much but your wallet will thank you and the taste is definitely alright.

Its hard to give a food court type place a 5 star, but these guys earned it. At first glance the chicken fingers and fries looks like your run of them mill KFC or Church's fare. But when you bite in, you see why this little place is rated so high. The chicken is tasty and tender. Unlike other places where you get a little chicken hidden in a wall of breading, here you get a hunk of meat with a thin tasty layer of breading. I don't know what they do to the fries, but they are better than your average fry too. The lady at the register (an owner I think) was super friendly, you feel like you're a guest in her living room. You will feel good about giving these people your money.

The chicken fingers (#10) were crunchy and tasty, the price is decent for a full meal. All in all this is a nice place for everybody also because of the different menu. You get ketchup and soy sauce too. However I am used to have more spices in my food - maybe as a European I have another taste - but the rice was quite standard. Why not offer some variant or better rice? I really would like to give 4,5 please see my 4 as an incentive and keep up your good work.

The worst chicken teryaki I've had. The rice was oily and not fresh. And had a bad flavor. The chicken was too sweet.

My thoughts in order: 5 stars avg, is that even possible? Oh it's in a food court? Real honest friendly service (family run? + local ingredients, it seems) Today's special sounds safe, chicken fingers, fries, drink. Just over $8 with tax. Sounds good, I'm starving. Got my food: doesnt seem like that much. Eating: they offer sauce. I took the honey mustard. You'll definitely want sauce: imo it's what turns these chicken fingers from a 4.0 to a 5.0. And how am I feeling full halfway through this?? The chicken has a lot of meat, they don't trick you with breading like some other places might. Don't see any downsides here.
