Delicious, fresh, quality ingredients and home made flavors. Pork is awesome. Tostones were crunchy and full of flavor. Generous portions. Try the flan for dessert, you won't be disappointed. Service is very friendly and the place is spotless.

Some pressed garlic bread was brought to the table to start. You can easily use this place for take out, but sit down service is available and friendly. I ordered yuca fries, that came with two zesty dipping sauces. For something less traditional- fries, cheese with bacon. This was as good as you might expect, as in, very very good. It also had a zesty sauce on it, making it a little more interesting; you can feel less bad for ordering fries at a Caribbean restaurant. If you order the papas rellenas, and you should because fried potato balls stuffed with meat are always awesome, make sure they remember to bring the rich, meat gravy. Ours came after we had mostly finished ours, and our last bites with the rich, meat sauce on it were most magnificent. We dabbled in to entrees; they come with your choice of rice and a small salad and plantains and are all under $12. The yellow rice and sweet plantains are both excellent. I was not great about sharing the plantains. The beef stew was flavorful, but a bit dry, though not to the point of making it unenjoyable. The roast pork was chopped in to glistening chunks. Some of the skin was a little too chewy to swallow, but the rest of the meat was shreds of soft, prime swine. While the pork was not quite as good as what they serve up North (as in, North Philly) or down South (as in, the islands of the Caribbean) it is a worthy stop that is much more accessible for Center City people. Great for lunch, or a BYO dinner, and if only they stayed open late... it would be most perfect for a weekend late night snack. Drunk pork is always a win.

Ordered takeout from this place last week. Empanadas were outstanding. Ordered a couple of the pork dishes - they were a bit mild for my taste. The torta was excellent. Portions were generous. We ordered a bunch since we wanted to try out stuff - and had enough leftover for another meal Overall - very nice place and we will definitely be going back

Absolutely delicious meal- do yourself a solid and order the bacon cheese fries and then it's a high five to you for making such good decisions with your life.

Sad, sad to update so soon, to report that it looks like Latin Flavor has left the building. After a couple of attempts to return for some of that good cookin and finding the place dark and locked up during business hours, I'd hoped that it just due to the Wintery weather- remember that Spring snow? Yeah, but no. Last night we saw a, "For Sale By Owner," sign up in the window. Bad news!

FANTASTIC latin food on South Street. I was wandering around lookng at the shops, and decided to pop in here to see the menu. Once you enter, you're instantly taken away to a little shop in Miami or something like that. They have a whole section of empanadas and papa rellenos, plus tons of plate optoins. I orderd the pernil (roast pork), yellow rice an three empanadas. All of the food was very good. The rice was super flavorful, as was the pork. I've had better empanadas (blame my mother in law), but these are pretty good. All told, our bil was $18 for takeout! Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in th emood for some good legit latin food.

I was extremely surprised how good the chicharones were, not too salty or oily but perfectly seasoned and fried. It is great addition to south st for a Latin/caribbean non Mexican restaurant to offer a variety of dishes. I would suggest the Cuban sandwich which was a delight. The services was acceptable for opening night. Our waitress was very nice and offered my son sample dishes but still learning the ropes.
