on a hunt for the best hong kong milk tea, my friends and i were honestly tricked by this bakery. we saw them making the milk teas with the traditional "stocking," which if you arent familiar with hong kong milk teas, its how the tea is brewed for the strong authentic flavor mixed in with evaporated milk and sugar. so seeing the stocking, we assumed it would be better than average. upon seeing her make it, i started getting disappointed after seeing her fill about 1/5th of the cup with tea and the rest with half and half. it would have been pretty tasty if i was asking for a simple cup of milk tea, but it was rather upsetting because i expected a hong kong milk tea.

Stopped by for boba after a lunch of Peking duck, and it was extremely impressive. Potentially the best boba I've ever had. The actual boba were the perfect consistency--not too chewy, but not too soft, either, and were vaguely sweet. The milk tea was flavorful but not too sweet. Plus, they made mine hot for me, which was perfect given the pouring rain outside.

I love this little place. It's all the way at the end of 10th street, and nothing fancy. But the women behind the counter are always smiling and helpful; and they sell the most delicious moon cakes. I first tried these desserts in Shanghai, and literally spent years trying to find them again here in the states. Was so happy to come across this bakery. They don't have a huge selection of other pastries, but what they do have is yummy! Nice smoothies, too!

I don't like this place at all!! Pastry selections are small, Roast pork bun, it was bland and fatty. Not good... Cup cakes wasn't airy, they were hard, bland and stale. I'm disappointed. Management is horrible!

They make the best drink out of all the bakery in chinatown. Their coffee and milk tea are consistent. The owner always know what i want,

Best mango smoothies I've ever had in Chinatown--perfectly sweet. (Get them with tapioca pearls!) I go there for the mango smoothies alone! I also like their chaa siu bao (roast pork buns) and their pork sung buns are also decent. The ladies behind the counter are always sweet and cheerful and will always ask if I want my stuff heated up.

This is a wonderful bakery where I had an excellent iced coffee and dan tat. It's certainly as good as my long term favorite bakery in NYC Chinatown, The Golden Carriage.

Best bubble team spot in philly! It's also only around ~2 bucks for a iced milk tea.

Opens at 5. This is my bakery of choice before 7am. Small pastry selection, but good! Their pineapple buns are decent. The steamed buns were, when I bought them, rather lukewarm and almost cold. Filling wasn't aplenty either. A bit disappointed. The porridge (congee) was really good! Duck eggs, green onions, ginger, the usual. For about a buck and a half!
