This place is so strange. When you walk in, it's like walking into some weird place where only teenagers work, and only the trashiest of the trashy toothless peeps shop. I was looking for toilet paper, couldn't find it. Well, the TP is on top of the cooler...duh. And the cranberry juice is next to the cat food, why did I not look there? 4 stars because they sell camel lights for $5.75. Holla whoop.

Their atm only charges you $1 surcharge! That's cheap now a days. The deli cheese is also good and they have any random item. However, check the expiration dates! I once saw a last trying to return good that expired a year ago and the teenage said tough sh$t

Great staff. Fresh lunch meat. Lotto machine. Cheap ATM. All you need to keep you from taking that grocery store trip without costing you an arm and a leg. Love that the owner hires respectful teens trying to make some some cash while attending college. Also neighborhood people who know the nuts and bolts of Fishtown. If you go early you'll catch the owner stocking shelves or helping the counter ladies diminish lines. Very friendly guy who will do his best to stock requested items. I would have given 5 stars but the shelves could be dusted more frequently and dates of expired items checked but other then that the place is great. Reminds me of the old "George's Corner" that was located at Tulip and Norris Streets.

A typical corner store with the basics, a deli, snacks and the like. The staff is friendly, and the deli has a pretty wide variety of reasonably priced sandwiches. I'm a veggies gal, so I wish they would be a little less generous with the turkey and throw on a couple extra tomatoes and pickles, but I realize I'm probably in the minority here. ATM only charges $1, but it can be a little glitchy and slow sometimes.

Almost everything you need under one roof. Support your local corner store, they are the backbone of cities like Philadelphia. I love how they sell small plastic baggies of swedish fish too. 25 cents! Also, a large veggie hoagie for under $4? Sign me up.

Came in one night to get some rolls...and laundry detergent. Here's the thing...anywhere else this would be like a normal thing right? Enter fishtown market and you are stepping into something truly special. The characters that frequent this place always leave me in awe of the human race. Lottery addicts, junkies with horrible tattoos ordering soft pretzels covered in pizza sauce and american cheese that's been blasted to shit in a microwave. I'm sure that will go down great with an arctic splash...and hey if one of your 20 lottery tickets happens to win you can probably stock up on all kinds of goodies for the house. Perfect corner store ingredients: Arctic splash boxes- check! Philly pretzels! -check! Ketchup chips-check! Sherbet push pops-check! CHEAPEST/DELICIOUS HOAGIES in the area-CHECK! can't beat their sandwiches. awesome lunch meat for way cheap (close to 2.00-2.50!)

all the random things you could want in a corner store..... from batteries to cat food to ice cream to deli sandwiches to fresh soft philly pretzels. clean store and friendly staff too. its a staple for me. i guess i visit there at least 3-5 times a week..... even if it is just to use the mac machine that only gives out 10 dollar bills. so... if someone has $200 of 10's in their wallet, think f-town market.

5 Stars for generically named corner store in Fishtown!! Okay, so there isn't to much that would attract one to this corner store for it's appearance, but it does have GREAT sandwiches for very CHEAP! They're good too! Around $2.50 for most regular sized and no more than $5 for the large sandwiches. Besides that, nothing really too special about it- I just get excited about getting filled up for 5 bucks. They do have other random groceries that most corner stores have. Quick Tip- make sure you tell them exactly what you want a couple times- oftentimes there are new employees that will get your order wrong if you don't repeat it a bunch.

I second the cheap and delicious MTO deli sandwiches sold here. Even my dad was impressed with how much you get for the money, and he's a big eater. This is a great corner store for odds and ends and conveniently located in the heart of fishtown. Its generally well kept and the staff is friendly. I don't get why some reviewers would consider it strange. It's like any other neighborhood corner store to me, except that it's a bit nicer than most. The reference to trashy, toothless peeps is also odd. I shop here all the time and haven't run into anyone quite so scary sounding. I guess some people just don't get fishtown...
