Though El Chapin is slang for "the Guatemalan" the simple but tasty food here might more accurately be described as Central American in the Guatemalan style. El Chapin has both a take out counter at the front and a small but homey seating area in the back. We were treated as family when we sat down for our meal--not just because the service was friendly but because there were no menus! Our server simply listed off the days selection of food that included pupusas, empanadas, tamales, and a plato tipico with chicken or beef. To drink we had the choice of horchata, rosa de jamaica or soda. Definitely going back, the food was tasty and very reasonably priced!
