One of the better Mocha's I've had in my life. Great breakfast... I'm looking forward to trying lunch!

Fantastic food and coffee. You'll pay a little more than average for breakfast food, but worth it.

Excellent! !! Perfect service. Excellent tasty food (check specials out) Coffee great apparently. Very good prices considering the quality. Definitely recommended and would return and one of my very rare 5* reviews.

Food is fresh, local and taste great. Only downfall with this cafe is there hours are not long enough. Prices are a little expensive though that's life for healthy fresh food.

Very laid back hidden treasure. A little pricey but worth it. Don't expect diner sized portions or Jewish deli sandwiches. This place gives fresh homemade ingredients and great service. The coffee/lattes are delicious. It's quiet and clean. They offer treats that are healthier and delicious. Nothing too heavy or too rich. Enjoy!!

I LOVE Down to Earth Cafe. I went to Bucks County Community College in Perkasie and this was the cutest little shop to go to on my down time. Down to Earth is a small, sweet, local cafe with delicious home-made meals and a family oriented appeal. The staff is so friendly and coming here feels like a visit to Grandma's house. Their home-made brownies seriously rock (so much that I had to bring home one for my boyfriend)! The mac and cheese as a side was also really good, and the decor is homey and adorable. It was a little pricey, but definitely worth it for the meal I received. Quick, friendly service and yummy food means five stars without a doubt. I've only been here twice but I would love to go back when I'm in the area.

Friendly staff, fresh food and a good portion. I had the turkey panini, with housemade coleslaw, swiss, Russian dress= excellent! Not too wet and sloppy, but a great amount of flavor. Coffee was exceptional.

The best time in my hometown. Oh I miss Down to Earth Cafe. Five Stars all around. The bagels, the salmon, sandwiches, soups, and non-alchy drink selections will make you happy. Not to be missed! GO!

We stopped here randomly on a road trip, and were hugely surprised at the quality of the food. Everything we ordered, sandwiches, quesadillas, were far better quality than we expected. The exception was , oddly, the coffee. But we might have gotten a fluke batch of it.

I'm obsessed! I've only had breakfast but it's AMAZING! The coffee is great too! If you're in the Perkasie area & want to get something freshly made that's not a diner type of food definitely stop in here!

Love their breakfast specials. Always something intriguing. One of the tastiest things I've eaten there was a breakfast sandwich with fried egg, chorizo and the roll was two slices of raised bread French toast. Perfectly balanced salty and sweet

People are exceptionally friendly here. Truly a small-town vibe where "everyone knows your name". Great service and delicious lattes.

What a fabulous and friendly Cafe. The staff was all very friendly, checked to see how we were enjoying our lattes, and treated everyone like a neighbor. I had the Sundae Latte (Chocolate, French Vanilla, & Raspberry) while hubs had the Campfire Latte (Toasted Marshmallow & Chocolate). They were both delicious though I will say the extra shot of espresso in the larger drink made quite a difference in taste. We don't live nearby, but will gladly stop when we are in the area again!!

Fantastic! My husband and I went there for the first time today, and we fell in love! Everything was fresh and high quality. It's a bit pricey, however paying for the quality they offer is worth every blessed penny spent. Not to mention the exceptional staff; warm, pleasant and efficient. Decor is inspiring and welcoming. There should be a down to earth cafe in every town!

We tried Down to earth cafe based on yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. When the food came out it looked pretty plain but it tasted so good. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and grilled veggies. The bacon on the sandwich was insane. I am coming back soon to try breakfast for that alone. Hubby had chicken salad sandwich and he enjoyed it. My kids had hot dog and french toast. I love the fact the hot dog doesnt have nitrates and is served with fruit. The french toast was really good too.

Everything is delicious. I'm here at least once a week and they know me by name. I love the community vibe and the fact that the ingredients are sourced locally. A great place for meeting with friends or clients. A little pricey and slow, but that hasn't stopped me from going.

30 minutes to their closing time and we were greeted with smiles and complete willingness to work with our dietary restrictions. Our meals were amazing as well as our overall experience. ((Vegan friendly!)) HIDDEN JEM!

We went there tonight for dinner ad were excited for the 'dinner menu'. We waited fr our food through bad keyboard music and decided to take it to go. Turns out the whole bottom of my husbands pizza was burnt (don't mean charred... Completely black! Of all things! Definitely not going back after paying over $12 for a burnt pizza!

My friends and I meet here about once a week, and even though we are not the quietest of customers the staff treat us like family. We stay for hours at a time and they have been known to bring us a plate of free cookies or any extra food they can't use. All the food is delicious, especially the grass fed angus beef burger and their all natural fruit smoothies. It may be a bit pricey but I can't imagine supporting such an amazing business in this little town without driving the prices up slightly. I highly recommend this cafe.

Great food, locally roasted coffee, healthy smoothies and plenty more. Great spot to meet friends, family and workers. Kid friendly, with a lot of options for all types of eaters. I love their Friday night dinners and fresh baked desserts.

I have been here only a handful of times, and they are consistently very good. The chef is creative and likes to use local sources. Today's sandwich special was a winner. Braised pork on brown rice cakes. This is the first time that I have ever had a rice cake as a bread substitute and it was outstanding.

If you ask me for one word to describe this hidden gem ... It would be tough... Perfection? Possibly ... No definitely... It is breakfast perfection. If $ were no object, and calories didn't exist ....I would be very happy to eat here every single day of my life. Yup. I said it. I love it here THAT MUCH. First of all... The coffee ? I don't know how to put my finger on it to describe it, but the coffee is OUTSTANDING. I live about 15 minutes from this special place, and there are a handful of decent restaurants with decent coffee between here and there ... Yet... I will drive past them all to satisfy my craving for the 'Big Iron Blend'. Normally I am a one cup a day girl... Here I need to make a second cup and put it in a take out cup and bring it with me to sip as I drive away... It helps me to manage my sadness of the breakfast being over The food: well well well.... I have eaten off of the 'regular' menu (anything but regular) and also have ordered from the amazing concoctions written on the specials board ... Never have I ever had a single disappointing bite. You simply must try this wonderful small town café!!

Went here from the Yelp reviews. Usually Yelp reviews are very accurate. Ordered the Belgian Waffle with Strawberries. The waffle was soft, almost soggy. But the the bigger disappointment was the strawberries. Although, they were tasty, the green and some black part of the stem was still on the strawberry. I never experienced this in any restaurant. I just cut it away and finished. Others had sandwiches and one had the yogurt and fruit. Each reported that it was mediocre. Coffee was great, smoothie was fair.

Fast forwarded a year and a half later and Down to Earth continues to be a staple of our family! Everything is fresh and made to order. When I work from home, which I often do, I always manage to find a cozy nook to plug in my laptop and go to town on some work! In the background, I see and hear the staff efficiently and happily working together behind the scenes, really passionate about their work and this special place. I love, love, love their coffee! And I continue to try different breakfast specials, all of which are simple, fresh and delicious. And to boot, they are accommodating of the girl who sits there for 3+ hours typing away! (Moi.) Definitely kid friendly too. We have a 14 month old and the farmhouse style tables with high chairs are spacious and excellent for family meals. And the cute little waiting area with a couch even has a little chair for kids and some books. Please support local business! This one deserves the crowds day after day.

Great brunch place hidden away in Perkasie. If you like creative dishes with bold flavors, check out the weekly special. It's usually excellent. The staff is very helpful and polite. The ambience is rustic with rough wooden tables and colorful artwork on the walls. Definitely worth a look if you're local to Perkasie.

My hubby and I love coming here for an awesome local breakfast! The food is so tasty and I love their use of organic and local ingredients. This has become our go to breakfast place and we have been there too many times to count. Can't wait to try their dinners!

Hidden gem, located in a non-descript strip mall. Lesson to be learned: do NOT judge a book by its cover! Walk in, read the specials on the black board, and cozy up in the warm dining room for a home-cooked meal. The sandwiches are served on delicious foccacia and ciabatta breads, and the quality of the ingredients is unparalleled. They source their food locally whenever possible and a strong sense of community pervades the entire restaurant from the local artwork on the walls, to the hand crafted coffee mugs, and pleasant wait staff. ' Customers all seem excited and happy to be here, and the workers feel familiar like friends!

  • Bret C.

Four of us were here for breakfast. The cafe is located in a rather non-descript strip mall yet once inside the decor was bright, clean, and a tad funky. A pleasant, friendly representative greeted us, introduced us to the daily special chalk board and provided us with fold out menus. She also explained the ordering rigor. We were to place our orders and pay for them at the counter and they would be delivered to us at our table. She provided us with mugs so that we could draw our own coffee from three urns, each with a specialized variety. Someone expecting to order a traditional breakfast ie: eggs and bacon, might find themselves a bit perplexed with the menu items here. Many of the offerings are more innovative than the usual diner fare. That is not necessarily a bad thing. While it took us awhile to make our decisions, the food we received was nicely prepared and presented and very flavorful, or as one of us remarked "excellent." The one issue that was off-putting was the ordering and paying at the counter routine, almost like one would do at a buffet line. While not overly expensive, the prices here surely command table service.

Went for breakfast. Had the omelette special. Service was warm and friendly. Food came out quickly. It was got, fresh, well made, and very tasty. Even the coffee exceeded expectations. A+ all around

I am a BIG fan of this cafe not only for what they serve, but what they stand for too. It's obvious how much they love their community by the abundance of locally sourced food they use. When I don't feel like cooking and I want a burger, I go to DETEC. I know that the food there is the same food that we eat at home, but prepared in all kinds of scrumptious ways! Everything on the menu is yummy, local and pure. LOVE the fish tacos! Worth the money and love the laid back atmosphere. Nourishing chill spot for the whole family!

  • Mary L.

I love this place. I love the commitment they have to the environment. Most of the products they use are organic or local, and if that hikes up the price, then so be it. I believe they even have a plot across the street in the community garden, and have grown items like tomatoes and herbs that they serve fresh during the summer. The staff are all very friendly and will alter any menu item to meet dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegan, allergies, etc). Favorites of mine are the sweet potato burger and the apple spice chai latte with soymilk.

  • Adam S.

Great for and great service! It can be pricey on some of the items, but it's worth it for the quality and flavor of the food. Highly recommend this place!

  • Tori B.

The environment here is awesome. The place looks really welcoming, there is a lounge area, a few wooden tables... Looks very good and well decorated. Though, the food is bad for the price they want. You can tell it's fresh, yet it seems to be very bland and their macaroni salad is really bad. Not sure what they put in it, but after one bite, I'm done. Costed way too much for something we (family of 4) all hated and didn't finish.

We were so thrilled to learn of this place, since it's nearby & we prefer to support local smaller businesses....but this was total disappointment.....& will never go there nor recommend it to anyone. We walked out, even before ordering. The place was not very crowded & we were thrilled but we waited & waited to ask a few questions before ordering....my husband is vegetarian & I am vegan, so very quickly, we realized there is nothing for me to eat except a salad & hummus--big deal....we hoped to get something just a little different besides what we make at home. We realize this is a small town & the menu would be scarce for vegans but since the girl never returned to help us, we left & wasted about 20 mins of our time just to be ignored..... From what we hear about this place from others, if you have time to waste, have money to waste, want to be ignored & get an attitude from a stranger, go there. If you want respect & pay for worthwhile food, go elsewhere. We DO recommend they change the name to We Don't Care Cafe..... This place has good potential but needs a complete interpersonal, customer-oriented makeover, including the prices!! Nice try, Down to Earth Cafe but you didn't make the cut......

The people here are really nice, and on top of that, they have great smoothies. I find that I always spend a lot of money when I go here though, even though the menu itself isn't pricey. It tends to be a hit or miss as well. Sometimes the food is amazing, and others I decide I wouldn't go back for food. I do love their brownies and smoothies though! Enjoy.

  • Shawn R.

Great atmosphere. nice staff. good ingredients. despite all that, the food takes an exorbitant amount of time to prepare [sandwich or bowl of soup], is too expensive, and is often rather bland or is delivered with meager portions. this always surprises me because the individual ingredients seem good. it's a frustrating experience.

  • Torey F.

Food is always very delicious, staff not the friendliest but its an order at the counter type place so you don't need to deal with them much. Food is best around though and always fresh. They have an extensive coffee and smoothie menu as well : ) This is my favorite place to grab lunch!

This is a welcome addition to a, mostly, boring and uneventful Perkasie/Sellersville area. They did a good job with the interior and use the space well to achieve a good vibe. I know that the owners try to source local products so good on them for helping the local economy. The sandwiches are very good, They have organic Mad Hectic oatmeal ... that stuff is awesome. This place is very chill most of the time and the nice leather furnature toward the front entrance is great to just lounge in. More room toward the back entrance with a large longer table for bigger groups. Their overall Barista knowledge could be better and sometimes, not often but it happens, the staff seems disorganized and not fully with it. Also important sidenote: no decaf coffee -- so it's high-test or go with one of the excellent smoothies. Great spot with nice owners who care about sourcing local products at a fair price in a cozy storefront ...... Now I just hope the rest of the community realizes this ..........

We arrived with high hopes and hungry bellies. We had heard interesting things -- delicious local foods, excellent breakfasts -- and desperately wanted this place to be a welcome addition to the community. We love to support local businesses. So it breaks my heart to have to give this place a 4/10. First, the service: though the place was not very busy at 1:30 on a Friday, the counter person was singularly unhelpful. Since it was our first time here we wanted to look things over and maybe ask some questions. We were quite ready to be sold on the place, but what we got was "here are some paper menus and the specials are on the board, I'll take your order here when you're ready.". So I ordered chili and a salad and my wife the veggie burger. The veggie burger, a decently tasty melange of cous-cous and sweet potato on an oversized wheat roll, came with macaroni salad. This seemed like a lot of starch, so my wife asked if there was something else? ..."no, we really only have macaroni salad.. You can pay extra and get a bag of chips.". So we ended up not getting a side, though we would have happily ordered a side salad had it been offered or if we thought about it. A little salad or a couple of sticks of asparagus salad would have been a much better menu accompaniment choice. But no help was offered, and it seemed like the girl behind the counter thought we were trying to pull one over on her by even asking. The atmosphere is pretty nice, airy and only a few nice heavy wooden tables. My side salad was teeny but good, with fresh baby lettuce and a pesto dressing. The chili was thick and bland. All this came to $22 or so with a couple of iced teas (bottled). Overall, the food was fairly tasty except for the flavorless chili and the abundance of starch in my wife's meal which desperately called out for a nice stick of marinated broccoli Rabe (or something) on the side to balance all the starchy carbs. Tasty food made with local ingredients is a great story to tell, but we got no story at all from the counter girls--not even a thank you.

I was excited to try this place after learning of its existence by accident during a Google search. It's located within a shopping center that we don't frequent, so we had never seen it. My husband is a vegetarian, and in our area (Souderton/Franconia), they look at you as if you have two heads if you don't want meat, so this place held lots of promise for us. Two criticisms: the food was excruciatingly slow to arrive; we started to believe they had forgotten our order, and my breakfast arrived well in advance of my husband's. Also, my husband ordered french toast, which didn't come with anything else, so he asked for two eggs a la carte, but they apparently charged him for a full egg breakfast instead, so our bill was higher than we expected it to be. The good part was the food was very tasty and well prepared; I had the breakfast burrito and enjoyed it very much. A tofu scramble would be a welcome addition to the menu, but this is Perkasie, after all ... just having anything vaguely vegetarian on the menu was a huge positive. And they had soymilk available, which is nearly unheard-of around here! My suggestion is they should add some home-fries to the lineup. It's just not breakfast "out" without some home-fries on the side.

Went late Sunday morning expecting to have to wait for a table, but there was only one other dine-in customer--this place definitely deserves more love! The food was delicious and fresh; the was interior bright, clean and pleasant; and the staff was very friendly. The coffee was also great. We liked our breakfast (a goat cheese/asparagus omelet and a breakfast sandwich) so much that we ended up bringing home some chocolate chip cookies and brownies for dessert--we weren't disappointed! We'll definitely be going back. Can't wait to try a Belgian waffle with fresh fruit or a croissant topped with Nutella!

A visionary in comfort food, The Down to Earth Cafe. This place has saved my life. I recommend the Down Home (Pork roll, Egg & Cheese) for breakfast. Being from New Jersey it has to be just right and it is as good as it gets. Just like back home. The smoothies are amazing. Really a great pick me up between meals, not to mention a little bit healthy. But the cupcakes are to die for if heath is not your concern!!!!! Everything on the menu is delicious. I love that they try to source whatever they can from local farmers. I was there one day for the egg delivery. The farm is right down the road, how cool is that. They probably were just laid that morning!!!! Great little lounge area right when you walk in to enjoy a cup of tea and read the paper. They even have little people seats for your kids. Family friendly and the staff is always pleasant. Always have a killer play list on too.

Been here before and had breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Although pricey, the sandwiches were very good. My husband and I went back last Saturday and this time we ordered omelets. Apparently whomever cooked them did not know what they were doing. When the waitress brought them to us her comment was "I'm sure they taste better than they look." Now, if you KNOW they don't look good, why would you serve them to a customer??? The omelets were burnt and very brown. I had a mushroom/cheese omelet. Apparently they didn't drain the mushrooms before putting them in the omelet because the middle of my omelet was very "wet" and unappetizing. Neither my husband nor myself finished our omelets - they were that bad. We spent $24.00 for two omelets and two coffees - very, very pricey for burnt eggs! We left and told them we wouldn't be back. They didn't seem to care. If you go, better stick with the breakfast sandwiches - they are much better!

Delicious!! My fiancé and I love their lunch menu. Their turkey club is full of fresh ingredients on soft, light homemade white bread. Always a fun new quesadilla listed on their specials menu which my fiancé loves to try. And we both love their fish tacos! Everything is fresh and homemade and a lot of it is locally sourced, which we love. We wish we had a lunch place like this is our hometown but we think the 15 minute trek to DTE is worth it. We'd love them to be open for dinner on week nights too. Also their homemade crumb cake is to die for! Skip the turtle bars, they're a little too buttery and hard. Coffee and smoothies are good too!
