I've been to the Strawberry house numerous times with my family and it's usually quite decent. The place could definitely use a makeover - especially the corner booth with the ripped seats that make you feel like you are going to fall on the floor when you sit on them. We went there the other day. We were seated by a very flustered and rude waitress. She told us they've been very busy so there were no clean tables. She ended up sitting us in the tattered booth I spoke of. We came for dessert and drinks only. The waitress was running around frantically, never even taking our drink order. The place was not that busy. After 15 mins, she finally came over to us and asked us what we wanted to drink. We told her we were just getting drinks and dessert. She said "Oh, you're only getting dessert." She had a bewildered look on her face, and then turned and walked away!!!" She never took our order. We waited for 5 more minutes, she still didn't come back, so we left. HORRIBLE Customer Service. They really need to step it up. At this point, I don't plan to go back any time soon.

We stopped on on the 4th of July for breakfast when our usual place was closed. Great breakfast!! Freshly made muffins, cookies, jams, etc. service was friendly and fast but not at all rushed. We had pancakes, omelets and home fries. Everything was fabulous! We will definitely be back!!

We have been coming here for years and the food has been amazing but now this small nook is taking on new heights of amazing new creations on their menu.. you can get great breakfast staples but now they have thick slab bacon.. hillbilly bacon.... And specialty items like chocolate cake French toast and varieties of stuffed challah French toast.. this place is a must go to for local excellent home cooked comfort food. This is not a diner but a real family restaurant. The place is small and cozy. They have a full array of home baked goods. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner.. we mainly go for breakfast but have done dinner too which is equally as good.

First impression was made when we were parking and saw one of the cooks out on the side smoking. Disgusting. Walls had coffee splatter but was otherwise fairly clean. Food was very good. I did find an eyelash on my plate but I understand it sometimes happens. Last impression as we were leaving was 4 members of the kitchen smoking outside. We will probably not return.

They used to have good food. My Wife and I had breakfast there on Sunday morning. I had uncooked tasteless scrapple. The worst. Ordered home fries with onions. Received uncooked potato slices with a pile of half cooked onions on top. My wife ordered creamed chipped beef. She could not eat it, it tasted so bad. I understand this place changed hands, it's not good anymore. We won't return. the waitress was very nice.

This place is so delicious. Breakfast is fantastic! Cinnamon buns toasted... and the french toast.... to omelets and specialty items. Had cannoli stuffed french toast with chocolate chips last time..... yum! All delicious. Good service from the wait staff as well. If you are looking for good food then this place needs a visit. If I could I would go every week for breakfast.

Love this place. Everything homemade and reasonable. Don't go by looks or ambiance, go for the taste.

This restaurant had a fire hall feel to it with folding tables and chairs. The food was ok. When we went to leave I saw a delicious looking carrot cake cupcake. When I unwrapped, what promised to be an extrodinary treat, there was actual mold on the bottom. I was completely disgusted and can't believe we ate in a place that clearly had no quality control.

Have to revise my review as the result of two recent visits. During one visit the pancake I got with my breakfast platter was burned and barely edible. Then to add insult to injury the girl who was manning the register got snotty with me. I've seen her there many times before, she's a waitress, and the times we had her she was always just so-so on the friendly side (without a doubt the least friendliest of all the servers) but this was inexcusable. I've worked in both retail and restaurants and I'm sorry but no matter how bad a day you're having or how busy things are, you put on your game face and you do not snap at or talk rudely to customers - at least if you want them to come back. Just prior to this incident I had dinner here for the first time and it was pretty bad - like food at a dive diner. So it looks like they're really slipping in terms of the service you get and the quality of the food being served. What a shame.

I've been coming here for almost 20 years! Breakfast is the best!! Great food, FAST service, pleasant wait staff ( that's always happy to accommodate), and great prices! Cute selection of baked goods made in house that are great! I can't believe all the bad reviews, our family LOVES this place!

Always find it to be a pleasant and yummy experience. It is very small, they do the best they can with the space they have. Its not fancy or modern, but Im not there to eat the decor. I am rating to food. And we ALWAYS want to return for more. The bacon is perfection, and the pancake batter is one of the best around! Coffee is always spot on! The biggest repeat issue we have had here is the friendliness of the servers, or rather, lack thereof.

Two words: Slab Bacon! This is one of those family-run diners you think about when you want comfort food while traveling. This is the kind of place Waffle House wants to be when it grows up! I was pleasantly surprised to find slab bacon as a breakfast option (along with two eggs, home fries, and toast), as I am so used to the thin, fatty stuff that most diners offer. Having been spoiled by, and totally missing, a Full English Breakfast in the UK, this was a must-have. Now, this wasn't a substitute, nor was the bacon anything like the meaty stuff that graces many a Brit's morning meal, but it was well-smoked, crispy, and thick. Aside from that, the rest of the meal wasn't all that remarkable, but in a world where there are too many greasy, overcooked breakfasts, unremarkable is a good thing. Lunches there are fine. Again, expect a standard diner menu, with lots of fried things, burgers, and sandwiches. This place seems to double as a bakery, so save room for that piece of shoo-fly pie (or something with their namesake strawberries) at the end of your meal, or just take something home with you. Service runs the gamut, and tends to be luck of the draw whether your server is cheerful and attentive, or just down to business. Again, you come here for the food, so as long as your order is right, don't worry too much about it. If you want a decent breakfast or lunch, without fanfare or striped awnings, this place might just fit the bill for you.

Breakfast is KING here! The food is fast & delicious. Coffee is hot & ALWAYS refilled promptly even when crowded. The ONLY reason I didnt rate 5 starts is the decor is a little dated but hey its the fakey red to match the name Strawberry House. I have eaten here for years & if 6 months goes by the food is still great the next time. They don't miss a beat! The daily specials are super reasonable, but they will not substitute on it, just so you know. Have not tried the baked goods except a cookie once which didn't get stellar reviews by my cookie monster hubby. GO HERE EAT BREAKFAST!

extremely dissapointing. very poor management. I had ordered a fish dish when it came out it was fried and very greesy. I explained to the watiress that i didnt realize it was fried and would like to change my order, she told me she would have to charge me for both so i told her to forget it. Then for desert 2 of us ordered different kinds of pie and the crust on the pie tasted freezer burnt. To top it off there was urine all over the floor. I will never go back there and i dont recommend it to anyone.

Boy, those other reviews are harsh. Had breakfast there Mother's Day and am going back tomorrow. Last week I had the crab, tomatoe and swiss omelet. Excellent! diced tomato was pleasant and didn't make it watery, the crab and swiss complemented well. Tastier than any I've had at twice the price Perfect hash browns and a bargain to boot. Nice variety to the menu and great prices. Wanted to try everything. My husband had the meat lovers omelet and loved it. I also love the homey decor and the homemade stools. Also bought some black bottom cupcakes for $1.25, big, moist and delicious. Much better than that boutique nonsense that is the fad. Will review again after tomorrow's visit when I will also be getting a cake for a birthday celebration.

I went to dinner there about a month ago and I was not impressed with my Rachel Sandwich. The meat was tough and hard to eat. But again I just ordered a Sandwich then a co worker of mine said to go back and try an entree so I did last night, I ordered the seafood pasta w/ "supposedly" Garlic wine sauce. My husband and I both ordered the same thing. When it came out I was not impressed the seafood turned my stomach right away with the Shrimp not being deveined and the shrimp were the size of a quarter the scallops the size of a dime. The pasta had no flavor I could not taste a wine sauce or garlic in the dish at all. Needless to say I didn't finish my plate since I could not get past the sight of the shrimp turds displayed so prominently on the plate. My husband was not impressed either. My daughter had gotten Chicken Parm and spaghetti and the chicken was not flattened and breaded they just threw a whole breast not breaded on top of the spaghetti. She also said she didn't like it. They have a lot of choices on the menu but maybe they should cut down on their choices and serve a few items that taste good and that are prepared correctly.
