We had gone to the one in Harrisburg quite a few years ago and now I remember why we never went back. First off, let me say that the servers are very good. Attentive, polite, friendly, cheerful and helpful. That being said, it's the only good thing I have to say. We sat down and were immediately served huge rolls that were extremely doughy and heavy. I guess some people love the cinnamon/sugar butter but if I wanted a pastry I'd get a cinnamon bun. I don't want dessert for dinner. And those buns were ridiculous in their size. Who wants half a loaf of bread before dinner? Then the music started. LOUDLY. Very loudly, followed by cheering and clapping from the bar area. Yes, now I remember. It. Is. Noisy. Yup, great for my husband who spent the entire meal saying "What?". Then I saw they had fried pickles on the menu with horseradish sauce. Oh, one of my very favorites. Except these weren't fried pickles, they were pickle chips. There was practically no pickle and all breading. Tasteless. The horseradish sauce, which should have a kick to is was bland. It tasted like mayo. And I don't even know what the other sauce was that they served. All I can say is, it was nasty. Then we had chili. Not too bad to start with. However, the more you ate of it, the sweeter it tasted. It was very hot/spicy (which I usually don't mind. In fact, chili should be hot and spicy, but this was a little too much) but it was way too sweet. Glad I didn't eat that breakfast butter first. Then I had the sweet potato, which came slathered in that cinnamon butter and brown sugar on the side. The cinnamon butter with all that sugar wasn't all that great on the sweet potato. And whereas, I like brown sugar on my potato, with all that sugared butter, it was sweet overload. Then I had the BBQ chicken. Can we say "sweet" again. Not to mention it was pink. I'm assuming the entire thing was pink because they have pink lights in the ceiling. At least I'm hoping that's why it looked so very pink. It wasn't very moist. I peeled the skin which was covered in the sugary BBQ sauce off and just tried to eat the chicken. It still wasn't very good. My husband had a steak and mashed potatoes. Now my idea on mashed potatoes means that they are light, fluffy, salted and peppered, have some butter in there and have some sort of milk or cream added. These were dry as the desert and chock full of lumps of potato. I guess they took the term "mashed" literally and didn't whip them up at all. I have mashed mine before, but somehow I can manage to get most of the lumps out. Hell, I can do that with a fork if I have to. Nothing was too hot temperature wise. The cheese on the chili never melted, the butter on the sweet potato and the mashed potatoes sat there and stared at me forlornly. All in all, it wasn't a pleasant experience. I must say I do give points to the server for taking the pickles off the bill. As opposed to The Olive Garden and Ruby Tuesday, which took away, respectively, a desert which the waitress acknowledged that people didn't seem to like and a hamburger which was salty and tasted just plain weird. I don't mind something sweet served during a meal. But that needs to be balanced out with other flavors. The entire meal cannot be a giant bag of Domino sugar. Now I know why they only have 3 items on their dessert menu. After all that sugar, who wants dessert? And I kid you not, as we left my husband had to sit down because he thought he was going to be sick. We ended up sitting there for over a half an hour and drove home with the window wide open and a plastic bag on his lap in case he threw up. I can't say decisively that it was the food, but he doesn't get sick when I cook.

The service is great and our dinner was yummy and came out quite quickly! The snake bites are hot! You can't beat the free rolls and cinnamon butter! Had burgers this time and no complaints!

Texas Road Kill People in this area just do not know what good barbeque is. We dont frequent a lot of chain restaurants and this is one of the worst.

I took my family here for dinner before my son went off to college. We ordered prime ribs, BBQ ribs, pork chops, and fried chicken. Everything were good. The service was good.

Hands down one of my favorite steak and burger place. Fresh made burgers (no frozen patties here) and the cinnamon butter for their baked bread is amazing. Service is always great but the food speaks for itself. Love it.

As usual with any Texas Road House we've gone to we are never disappointed. So if you see one in your travels give them a try. We have been to many different ones.

I had the roadkill with mash potatoes and gravy. If you get this, you have to mix the mash potatoes in with the steak. Satisfying The caesar salad was full of dressing but you could not taste the dressing. Do they water it down or what, weird. Get the pickle chips they are good.

This was my first visit to a TR... and I enjoyed it very much. Walking in, I was intrigued by the peanut shells on the floor (Not any in the seating area, just by the door, where ppl wait), but then I saw that I could watch a guy making the rolls, and he interacted with me as well... GREAT rolls thank you :)... Then we were seated, and our waitress, Leigha, was great. Personable, and friendly... Makes leaving a tip enjoyable, because she took care of us nicely. I had the Dallas Filet with onions with loaded mashed potatoes.. and OMG.. it was sooo good. the onions cooked to my liking.. I even ate some from my sisters plate :). Prompt service, everyone very friendly. Will DEFINATELY go there again, next year. And will see if I can find any around here in Vermont. Thank you to Leigha and the rest of the staff!!

I have to say after living in Philadelphia for over a decade, I had pretty low expectations coming back to my hometown and going out to dinner with my parents. After all, I had friends that use to work at these restaurants when we were younger and they were not the most responsible, not to mention that we try not to frequent the chain restaurants often. My husband and I with parents in tow, stopped in here for a meal. The waitress bounced over, greeted us warmly, inticed us with cocktails and ran down the daily specials. She was also very knowledgable about any thing I pointed out on the menu. My dad and I had the filet mignon, which was a fabulous cut, and cooked to perfection! My mom had the sirloin beef tips! The plate was enormous and must have weighed 3 pounds!! There was a LOT of food not to mention it also came with two sides! My husband had the ribs which he was skeptic at first, he always claims that he can't get good ribs but was pleasantly surprised with the portion and that the meat was actually fall off the bone! It was my birthday so I got to sit on the sawhorse as they scream the birthday song- mortifying!! (Another reason why I don't go to chains, but I let my guard down!) All in all, the food was nice and the service was pretty spot on! I have to tip my hat that in the middle of nowhere, they know how to turn out great food and atmosphere. I can't say so much for some Zagat acclaimed Philly restaurants! Thumbs up!

This was the cleanest Texas Roadhouse I have ever been in. Most other times, the floor is so thick with peanut shells, you could leave tracks walking around. Maybe I just missed the peanut barrel when we came in. Hard to tell. We ordered off of the 2 for $39.99 special (the most expensive special we have encountered in quite some time) which offered a shared appetizer, a 'sidekick', and a choice of several large item dinners. We ordered a onion, chicken breast {substitute) for the 'sidekick' (passed on the shrimp and ribs), and the XYL ordered the 12 oz steak (with house salad and sweet potato) and I the 12 oz prime rib (with house salad and steak fries). And drinks. Dinner started out with their terrific table bread with the cinnimon/butter spread. Now, I could stop here, if I could have goten the gal to have brought about 3 more rounds of these rolls. Not wanting to overdose, I opted to pace myself instead. Salads followed shortly, along with the onion, hitting the table at the same time. The salads were good. Crisp and fresh, with very good dressing. The onion was crisp. Not oily, like at some of the other places that offer this fare (Lone Star comes to mind). The the 'sidekick' arrived. We asked for a grilled chicken breast (we passed on the shrimp or rib offerings) withouot BBQ sauce. It arrived, painted in BBS sauce. It was returned, and corrected. We did not even get to touch the chicken (you been keeping count? So far 3 items had hit the table already). The XYL's steak was cooked to her order. My prime rib was over cooked. It was flavorful, but I would have enjoyed it had it been a lot closer to the rare side than it was. We ordered the special for two, and got enough food, easily, for three people. We took enough home with us, to have another meal (disappointingly, no one could come up with a carry out dish large enough for me to stuff a #Yuengling neon sign I saw there in....)... Would have been happier with a smaller 'special' as we got way too much food. However, our service, which was very good, and the quality of our meal (aside from my over cooked Prime rib) I cannot complain. Texas Roadhouse does not offer a Senior discount. It does offer a Military/Veterans discount. Missed out on the dancing, and the peanut shell dust. Maybe next time. Until then, I will be satisfied with a terrific meal and plenty of left overs. Recommended. @Removeyourhat

We arrived on Saturday evening. It was busy but overly crowded. After a short wait, our party was seated at 2 separate tables. By the time we ordered our food, our section was starting to clear out so it was definitely not that busy. It took over 45 minutes to get our food. My steak was overcooked, dry, and they didnt even give me the right steak. I ordered a rib-eye and I'm certain I was served sirloin that had been sitting out for awhile after cooking. It was the worst steak I've ever had. Yes I could have sent it back but I really did not want to wait any longer. The waitress was not very friendly or helpful either. We didnt even get drink refills. It would have been nice if my meal had been taken off the check but I didnt want to raise a fuss so I just ate my lukewarm, dry overcooked steak.

I have eaten at Texas Roadhouse for a number of years and I find that their food is very delicious, plus the service I received during those years was very good. There were a few times that I had received food prepared in ways that I had not ordered it to be, and I was either reimbursed for the meal or there were a few dollars taken off my bill for having been inconvenienced. I am now vegetarian and I can still visit Texas Roadhouse and have a great meal. I am an octo-vegetarian; someone who eats no meat, but will consume fish. I find that there aren't a lot of food choices for vegetarians, but it's still well worth the visit if you're really hungry for grilled shrimp, great salads, or a variety of side-dish foods. My favorite dish is the skewer of shrimp, seasoned with garlic lemon butter, over rice. Instead of rice I order another Caesar salad as a side, and have them combine both side Caesar salads, making it into one large salad that I can eat with my shrimp. So if you're vegetarian or an octo-vegetarian, you can also order fresh vegetables, baked potatoes, grilled salmon, fried catfish, and tater skins. Also available are: Rattlesnake bites, which are diced jalapenos and jack cheese, hand-battered and lightly fried, served with Cajun horseradish sauce for dipping. There ARE other items of interest, so check out the menu. So, the next time you see a Texas Roadhouse Restaurant, stop by. You won't be disappointed. The one I frequent in Palmyra is very good, and the service is pretty fast. The earlier you go, the quicker you'll be served. The only thing about this or any of the other restaurants - the place is very noisy and I'm a person who likes to hear myself taking to the other person who is sitting in front of me. If it were a more quiet atmosphere, I would have given Texas Roadhouse five stars.

Very nice chain steakhouse. Nice change of pace from a lot of our normal local restaurants. A bit more pricey, but worth it.. Food is always good.

Pulled pork dinner was great, their bbq sauce was also very good. Their fresh rolls with whipped cinnamon butter is incredible! Wish I was here longer, but on vacation and passing thru. Glad we stopped here.

I'm not a big fan of "steak house" type restaurants, but this one I never seem to mind. It has a good variety of foods that always taste delicious at a decent price. Every time I come whether it's in Palmyra or in other places, I always get the friendliest servers. And as many times as I've been here to eat, I've never had any problems with food nor service - so here's 5 stars to that!

I was so excited to eat here as my boyfriend and I were on vacation. I've heard so much about TRH from friends and my boyfriend worked at a Texas Roadhouse in the past, which is supposedly much better. I've always heard good things and had great expectations, it was also my choice to go to TRH that night. However we were thrown off when the waitress, Raquel, continually forgot everything from drinks, sides, bread, we had to ask over and over again until finally she would bring whatever was needed. She got worse as the meal went on. Being a server myself for 5 and a half years I do not complain because I know how hard it can be sometimes, but she wasn't busy at all, the restraunt was very dead, and never once apologized for 'mistake' after mistake after mistake. After about 10 minutes after giving her our entree order my boyfriend went up and grabbed the bread basket himself, because it was clear she wasnt bringing it even though we did ask. She made it seem like we were a nuisance to her. At the end of our meal once she fixed the wrong check and re-presented it she never came back to see if I needed change, which just topped the cake... At that point we had both had it and tossed the whole thing up to a loss. Really almost ruined the end of our vacation. I regretfully left her twenty percent if she had shown any interest at all or hospitality to our table or even apologized ONCE, I would have left more... and if I hadn't been told by many others that Texas Roadhouse was so good, I would not be going back. I think I will give the Reading location a try next time, not this one. Never again, worst service of our lives. With that being said I will note that the food was very good.
