One word. Three letters. WOW. I stumbled upon this true "hidden gem" and haven't been able to look at a sandwich in the same way since. Turkey- Check. Cheese- Check. WARM FRESH BREAD- CHECK CHECK CHECK!!!

Moved to the Oley recently. M&M is a frequent stop for us. Hot sandwiches are very good. Make a very good cheesesteak. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The bread is always reason for the four star reason in Berks. Its a nice place to stop and get a quick bite.

M and m used to be the best but a new owner took over. They built a wall to obstruct the view of the kitchen. This winter, we got sandwiches and heard a man coughing in the back. We asked if he was making our sandwiches and the owner snapped a quick "no" and continued to be unfriendly. We ate the sandwiches and both ended up extremely sick for 3 weeks. The owner is very rude and she seems to not have a clue what the m and m shop used to be before she took over. Very sad to see such a great place completely fall apart.

My folks moved back to PA last summer, and found a place in the tiny hamlet of Oley. Not a lot (like 5 total) options for food in the area, but M&M's happens to be 1/4-cigarette walk down the alley. Thank god! Living south of the Mason-Dixon Line is like living on the wrong side of the Berlin Wall if you grew up eating PA Food (PA Dutch, Amish, Hoagies/Subs). You literally can NOT find a sandwich in the state of VA (or much of MD) worth eating, so every time I go visit, I seriously eat 3-4 sandwiches in a 1-2 day period. Usually most (or all) of them come from M&M's. The pizza steak is a solid 12" and packed tight in an excellent roll. The Italian is very good too....but I think the Hot Ham and Cheese with sweet peppers might be my favorite. All of it is priced to move at around $6-$7 (the same sandwiches would be $10 or more down here, and would be about half as full and half as good tasting). The fried pierogies are awesome too. Looks pretty meh on the outside, but the inside feels like stone tavern from the 1800's (maybe it is?). Keep on keepin' on, M&M's!!

The quintessential Oley sandwich shop. All the standard fare, cheesesteaks, burgers, etc.. The one thing that that may surprise you is that some of their soups are really pretty good. My only real complaint is that the tables are small and the seating is tight if you are not an elf.

Decent local place for standard sandwich shop fare. Not really a pizza shop. The place has quite a legacy here in the valley, though the place seems to have regressed somewhat in terms of food quality after being sold to a new owner in the last few years. Food is decent, but probably won't sit well with someone familiar with the "good old days".

I love this place! Every time we come to visit my in-laws', I have to get my fix. Ok, so it's not health food, but everything they have here tastes really good to me once in a while. Their fried shrimp platter with French fries and their chili dogs rule! ;-)

Decent food, good prices. Pretty standard sub shop with cheesesteaks, pierogies, fries. Nothing too exciting.
