My friend and I decided to try this place on a whim for lunch on a Saturday when they were serving their brunch menu. We sat outside, and the umbrellas were a welcome source of shade. The landscaping was really nice, too. Service was friendly and timely. There looked to be a handful of parties while we were there. My friend ordered some sort of chicken bruschetta sandwich which looked delicious. I ordered the apple and pear salad. I loved how the fruit was cut into thin sticks. Everything was fresh, and I loved all the components of the salad. My only regret is not asking for the dressing on the side. I wouldn't mind returning, but not too often, since their food isn't cheap. Also, nothing really made this somewhere I would actively suggest returning to.

Whenever I return to PA to visit my roots, The Brick Hotel is always the first place I choose to stay. This small, Historical Hotel, dates way back to the Colonial times and used to be a brothel at one point. After all these years, it's still well maintained and the Staff is awesome. The Restuarant is exceptional and the Garden patio is totally relaxing to chill and have a beer.

There was only one other table with guests. The service was very slow and the manager spent too much time with sharing TMI. The prices were outrageous for what we received . It's sad the place has great potential..the restaurant and courtyard need some basic work

This hotel is so awful it has prompted me to write my first review, ever. I am the lazy sort of traveler that has traditionally relied upon the reviews of others and never seems to quite get around to writing my own. I stayed at the Brick Hotel because a co-worker selected the hotel for its geographic location for some business we needed to conduct in the area over the course of a week. I had an idea it would be quaint, but it turned out to be an all-out dump. My credit card was charged in full upon check-in, and they don't give refunds for any reason, apparently. This is also probably the only thing that can keep a guest from immediately leaving once entering the room, as I wanted to do. After 2 nights, I left without a refund for the 4 nights I'd paid for and had a co-work drive me to another hotel. I was so uncomfortable and sleep deprived I could take no more. The manager said he would check with the owner regarding the possibility of a refund, but I didn't get an answer before I left. He's still not responded to a telephone message I left for him upon my return home. If you are reading this review, please note: I PAID EXTRA MONEY OUT OF MY OWN POCKET TO GET OUT OF THIS PLACE ON A BUSINESS TRIP. My employer only reimburses me for one hotel a night, not two, which is understandable. What specifically was wrong with the place, you may wonder? 1. The paint was peeling on the ceiling. 2. The wallpaper is peeling of the wall in the room. At one part of the hallway, it help up with scotch tape. 3. The air-conditioning units in the room rattle loudly. 4. There is open space next to the window unit air conditioner and bugs come into the room. 5. The tub/shower is very old and it is a struggle to get the shower head to come on. 6. There was hair and other debris on my bed pillows. Another co-worker noted a blood stain on his. 7. My bed moved around - it is a mattress on the barest of bed frames. 8. The comforter on the bed looks to be from the 1950's. 9. Weird "patches" on the ceiling - one above the toilet in the bathroom, and one more disturbingly, above my bed that appeared to be made of plastic. 10. Whilst sitting at the hotel bar for a much needed drink, I killed a fat spider on the bar filled with blood--- 11. The TV doesn't work unless this switch by the door to the room is on...WTH?? 12. One of my co-workers told me there was a METAL PLATE on one side of her mattress that she could feel through the sheets. I was too disturbed to even go take a picture of this. I could go on but I've wasted enough time on this place already. Zero stars is what the Brick Hotel should get. Other than as a shelter for homeless people, I can think of no other use for it.

This place is a wreck. The paint is peeling off the walls, the TV's don't work, the wifi is weak, the beds are worn out, the decor looks like stuff your crazy aunt stole from garage sales and only some of the electrical sockets work. It's very sad too because the building is historic and potentially charming from the outside, which is interestingly how this hotel should be enjoyed... The restaurant has really nice staff, but again, no one is putting money into the facility to keep it up.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Brick today. Grilled salmon over mixed greens with apples, pears and walnuts. My friend had the frittata- it looked wonderful! We sat on the enclosed porch so we could enjoy the summer's day with the benefit of air conditioning. Look forward to returning soon.

When a hotel/bed & breakfast/restaurant has been around as long as The Brick, it gets some cred from its history and deep roots in the community. While George Washington may not have slept here, he certainly ate here - and that is amazing. Through the centuries The Brick has seen its share of historic moments, as well as its share of scandal. It has prospered and suffered at the hands of various owners, some of whom took great pride in the establishment, while others did not. It went through such a change a few years ago, and the trail of reviews shows this plainly. Through it all, the first floor bar and dining areas have retained their charm and well accented colonial airs. For that alone, The Brick is worthy of Fandom. The cuisine may not always keep pace with the aura of the old stone, brick and wood. Today, I attended a special function for a community group honoring (and roasting) some of the more ancient sportspeople in town. For the first time in the long history of the organization, the silver cup was engraved with the name of a woman. Very happy to be part of the moment. Buffet dinner was served before the award ceremony. It was spread out in the bar room; a perfect setting. Spring Mix Salad, Chicken Piccata, Penne Vodka, Roasted Potatoes sat waiting for our walk through. The salad dressing was a pale yellow cheesy creamy Italian and the croutons from a box. The Chicken was slightly above room temperature with the lemony gravy semi-solid on top. The Roasted Potatoes somewhere between well done and dry. The pasta was good, but also not hot enough. It wasn't that the ingredients were lacking, but that the preparation and presentation were not quite right. If not for the great camaraderie in a grand old room, the food would have been a near fail. We were not there for the food, so to some extent I can overlook the issues. I was happy to be there today, and it was very cool to be part of this small piece of history being made. Go for the atmosphere, and perhaps a drink. Go for a brunch when you can sit on the glassed-in porch and view downtown Newtown. Don't go for more, or risk disappointment.

Went for Sunday brunch... was looking forward to going, but left disappointed. Waited a while for a server despite very few people dining; most of the food was cold, bagels and croissants were stale, French toast was hard. Most items were not refilled until a patron tracked down someone, otherwise plates and service stations remained empty. Only reason I gave it 2 stars was for the eggs benedict- looked and tasted delicious. Sub par brunch buffet for the price (for 2 people, paid $80 including tip)

I was here for a brunch bridal shower and we had the back room to ourselves. I love the historic feel to this place. It was a brunch buffet but we could also order omelets. I thought it was a nice spread and the food was good. The shrimp cocktail was my favorite. The omelets were big and delicious. Service was very good and they kept our glasses full and were attentive. And they make good bloody Marys.

It's sad for me to give it 2 stars. The Brick Hotel is beautiful, don't get me wrong. It has charm, tons of history and a past. FOOD ---- I went here for a Sunday brunch to celebrate a birthday. They do a brunch buffet from the hours of 11 am to 3 pm. I arrived closer to 1 pm for most of the things to be gone. They do offer some quality gems, but you can tell it sat out for some time. I love me a good lox bagel, they have a really nice set-up for this but the bagels were hard. They also have french toast which was also hard as a rock that was difficult to eat. They offered more lunch menu items like specialty pasta, chicken, a carving station which I didn't try out but did look promising. They offered appetizer type of foods such as bruchetta, shrimp cocktail, fresh fruits and grilled vegetables which were all delicious. They also had a nice dessert spread so there's some brownie points there! THE HOTEL--- The upkeep they did for the late 1700 home is fantastic. You know there's tons of history in this place. The bathrooms are all updated and the dining areas are beautiful. They also have outdoor seating as well. The hotel is meant for the charm not for modern luxuries. I also heard this place was haunted so I'm sure there's tons of ghost adventures that goes on in this place. I'll definitely will check this place out again on a non brunch time to see what they have to offer for entrees. It's a beautiful place and worth trying out at least 1x.

The food was ok. Seemed expensive for what it was. If you have kids go somewhere else because the typical kids meals are $13 for a little cheeseburger or a grilled cheese. Nothing special about them.

While I don't live in the area anymore, I grew up in Bucks County and remember the Brick fondly. We recently held a lunch here for my mother's birthday. The staff was accommodating and very helpful both before and during the event. We were given a nice range of options to offer our guests and everyone was pleased with their choices. While we had a smallish (fewer than 30) group we were still given our own dining room and had plenty of space to move about. I was very pleased with how the day went.

The owner Verendar, is terrible! She does not treat her employees well at all! She is a mean cruel nasty lady. This business needs to be overtaken by someone who will take care of it and give it the respect and attention it needs! She steals money from her employees and treats them with disrespect. Terrible place!

The Brick seems to have changed in the past few years, and the menu has gone through a lot of change. Our last dinner there was disappointing. The bar menu was disappointing, the service inconsistent, and the food was below average for the price. It's a shame, because I'd really like to go there more, but it's just too inconsistent to take the chance.

We had my daughter's Bridal Shower here today. It was an Afternoon Tea menu; tea sandwiches, scones, pastries and of course a selection of teas. We added cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries. Everything looked and tasted great! The room we had was the perfect size for our group of 35. The waitstaff was very attentive to us, especially for the cash bar beverages we had available to us today at 1/2 price. Each guest had an individual tea pot and a selection of teas....coffee drinkers were accommodated as well. The event was a big hit with our group and I heard many compliments from our guests. Some are even planning to return here for the Sunday buffet or other occasion. This was great to hear since we are a tough group to please when it comes to dining out. The only negatives were the wait we had for the final bill, there shouldn't have been anything to work on for this, the contract was agreed to and complete and the bill should have been presented sooner....and the owner who wanted to charge us full price for a cocktail that was clearly marked at 1/2 price on our menu boards for the event. I thought that was a little tacky, that I had to even point that out to the "owner". Another guest was charged a completely different price for the same cocktail, so that didn't really sit well with me.

It's always sad to see a grand lady fade, but methinks the Brick has faded beyond recognition. It used to be a fine place to go for dinner and special occasions, but apparently no more. Had lunch this week with my wife. We like to go every spring and sit on the State Street side porch and enjoy the flowering trees. There were two or three other tables occupied when we arrived, so not very busy. We ordered two glasses of wine and waited about 10 minutes for them. Ordered fish tacos and an open faced reuben. Arrived about 30 minutes later. The fish was ok but the tacos were stale. The reuben was toasted beyond belief. Toast burned, top layer of cheese dried out. Asked the waiter what he thought, and he said it looked ok to him, but offered to make another. I declined, not wanting to wait another half hour. I did order two more glasses of wine and some brown mustard. They arrived about 10 minutes later. I ate half the reuben (a bit of a chore) and called for the check. I suggested that I pay for half the reuben due to its inedibility. I got a $3 (out of $9) discount. Not overly generous I think. So....go for a glass of wine, enjoy the view, but don't eat the food.

My family recently chose to host my Grandmother's funeral luncheon at the Brick Hotel. The location is close to the church where we had the Mass, and as long-time Newtown/Yardley residents, the Brick has been a town-staple. It sounded like a perfect idea. Oh how we were wrong... The Brick requires you to quote an exact guest number several days before the event. We decided on 40 guests to be safe -- and ended up having only 36. They charged us for 50. We have been disputing the bill with management for over a week now. We even had to physically go into the Brick to speak with a manager because they were totally unresponsive to our calls. Here we are, mourning the death of our loved one, and the Brick Hotel is cheating us out out of several hundred dollars... Ridiculous.

What a DUMP!!! Not worth one star! Had family members visit and thought this would be a great choice for the overflow of family. What a horrible mistake. The staff was extremely rude and the rooms are in great need of renovations. It was like a ghost town inside because staff was usually never around. When you did deal with anyone they either did not know anything or were just outright rude. The worst in rudeness were the owner and the manager. My family checked out after experiencing one horrible night and checked in to the new Homestay Hotel a couple of miles up the road (loved the staff and facilities). AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT ALL COSTS!! Am surprised they are still in business based on the reviews many have written.

A table full of dirty dishes! Took mother here for Her birthday Sunday brunch. After we were all seated we noticed lipstick on the water glasses and chunks On the silverware. When I ordered tea there was lipstick on the cup. Three pots of tea and two coffees and one SPOON! The food was acceptable, most of it was canned or made off-site. I will say the eggs benedict came out spectacular, the shining star of this meal. Hence the only star in the rating. Poorly staffed to say the least. Not worth the $$$. Great place to go if you like writing bad reviews.

This place needs to closed! It s structurally unsafe and a fire hazard. The floors of the hotel are slanted beyond belief Its a fire trap! I booked a room and was charged and I left because I was really feeling unsafe I didn't stay the night, but was NOT given my money back The owner is money hungry There are 2 other hotels in the area Do yourself a favor and go to the other hotels Don 't go there I can't speak for the food I never ate there It should be made into a museum IT IS NOT FIT FOR PEOPLE TO SLEEP THERE! IM ONLY GIVING 1 STAR SO THAT I CAN POST THIS REVIEW ....BUT IT REALLY DESERVES A -100!

Very nice buffet brunch on Sundays for $25 per person. Menu includes an assortment of omelets, pasta, chicken marsala, smoked salmon, bagels, fruits, vegetables, and an amazing bailey's infused walnut encrusted French toast with banana foster. The waitstaff is very nice.

A total let down. Forget the new waitress, the iced tea all over me, and the incorrect amounts of items on the bill vs. the menu prices. The food tasted like it came from a freezer. The kids chicken was Perdue chicken dinosaurs and the steamed corn was microwaved. The food lacks flavor. The staff lacks talent, and the place seems to lack air conditioning. a total let down. From start to finish.

We just finished our meal. I am so disappointed. I have lived in the area for 9 years and have admired this restaurant for its old town charm but have never gotten a chance to have dinner here. We were greeted promptly and shown to a very wobbly table. The hostess fixed it for us. Our server was very nice but also very abrupt and not very efficient. He didn't tell us the specials, when we asked about what beers were on tap he mentioned a couple and then another server jumped in to help. If he was in training they should have disclosed it and kept a closer eye on him, but I don't think he was. We ordered an appetizer of hummus and crustinis. It was ok. We also did the special prime rib dinner. He never asked how we wanted it cooked, the wedge salad was drowned in dressing with way too much bacon. The meat was cold and not tender the green beans were overcooked. The potatoes were tasty, roasted with a nice crisp. The desserts were underwhelming. Vanilla ice cream that was more like iced milk, the cheese cake was stale. So overall a bust. Too bad, the building has a lot if charm.

Stayed at the Brick in late October after my rehearsal dinner was held there. My then fiance stayed in one of the suites; I stayed in the other. Both rooms were moderately clean, though there was NO HEAT in my fiance's room. Since there was a freak blizzard during our stay, I asked management to look at the pilot light in the room's gas fireplace. They said there was nothing they could do. They put a broken, too-small space heater in the room, which did nothing at all. To add insult to injury, management lost track of who returned to the hotel the following evening after the wedding, and so indiscriminately charged everyone who stayed the previous night for a second night. When I brought this to management's attention and asked for a refund (we did not stay in either suite we had occupied the first night), the "owner" -- and I use quotations there because I seriously question Verindar's legitimacy as a business owner -- accused me of lying, claimed to have a signed check-in slip for the second night, and refused to process my refund. "Do you think my staff is making this up?" she wrote to me in an email. Yes, Verindar, yes I do. I think your staff is trying to cover their tracks for not having the sense to put someone on the front desk on a night when guests were staying at the hotel. All in all, this was a horrible experience. The only thing I regret about my entire wedding weekend is staying at the Brick and using them for the rehearsal. And that's saying a lot, considering the fact that there was a BLIZZARD that weekend.

Don't come here. Awful...came here for a drink and would not eat here. Not a well run establishment. Seems disorganized and not busy enough to sustain business for good or fresh food. 15 minutes to get a drink since no bartender working but yet live music in bar. Go figure.

We were also at the Brick Hotel for New Year's Eve. We arrived for the second seating and the place had cleared out. While we had hoped for a fun, kitschy evening, everything about the place seemed sad and tired. The ambience was a little depressing--our table had a deflated balloon. Also, the acoustic versions of Neil Young and U2 kind of dampened the festive spirit of the evening. The service was slow and uninformed--when asked if the fish was fresh or frozen, our waiter replied "probably frozen". The food was mediocre: two orders of sea bass and one order of 'surf and turf'. If our bill was $100, I would have been happy. But since our bill was close to $300 (a couple of drinks), I expected much more from the "Grand Lady of Newtown" (according to the framed reviews on the wall". All in all, it seemed like they were trying hard, but they may be a little out of their league, especially given the other options in Newtown. We won't be back.

It is a very old hotel and restaurant, built in the 1700's, which has maintained it's outstanding reputation for finer dining. It is a local popular favorite for receptions, meetings, dining, live music and it has nicely appointed rooms for overnight guests. They also present wine tastings as well as live music events. The menu's are pricey, but offer a nice variety. Choose from rack of lamb, steaks, seafood, pasta and chicken dishes. They keep it light for lunch with soups, salads, traditional sandwiches and light fare. The food is very good. The Chef, who ( I believe ) still maintains the kitchen there, also owns and runs Joseph's Garden Grille in Langhorne. brickhotel.com

The only reason I am giving this place even 1star is because the food was OK. I made reservations for brunch this past week for 5 people, when we showed up the hostess looked so confused and distraught I thought she might cry over the task of seating us. It took 10 min for us to be seated (the place was empty) and when they showed us our table I almost laughed. It was barely large enough for 3 people, let alone 5. So we waited another 5 for an appropriate sized table. Finally we were seated and greeted by our server, she was friendly enough and brought us our drinks pretty fast. The brunch it's self was mediocre at best, the food was hot and tasted fine, but they were not that many options and when something ran out it was not refilled, except the bacon...so I give them that. If you want hot eggs you have to order them from your server and wait, so that kinda sucked. The place was dead and very quite, not much of an atmosphere at all. Coffee took forever to be refilled and my brothers tea took like 15 min to come out of the back. What really took me back was the bill, we had few bloody Mary's and mimosas and they weren't cheap, but fine and I knew the brunch was $30 bucks a person (WAY over priced) but what really threw me was our server added 20% gratuity on to our bill! almost $40. For what bringing us 6 drinks and one omelette?? The bus boy was at our table more and did more for us, I would rather tip him? So in the end it was over $200 for 5 people, not what I wanted to spend on such a dismal, boring, mediocre brunch :(. I will not be back to the Brick for any meal any time soon. Your better off hitting up the rover for cheesesteaks and the Bloody Mary bar.......

This hotel is very cute and charming so I was excited to go there for dinner to celebrate my boyfriend's promotion. What a mistake! Their food is lousey and over priced. I didn't think tomatoes and mozzarella could go poorly but I was proved wrong with unripe tomatoes and gritty cheap tasting mozzarella. I ordered a steak medium rare and it came out so browned and dry that it was far beyond well done. I couldnt even taste any flavor on the steak besides the imense amound of pepper it had been covered with. The chef came around to check in at our table and instead of asking us how our mean was he just blabbed about how he makes the best steaks in the area....WRONG. To their defense not everything is bad about the Brick Hotel and Restaurant. The service and the atomospher were excellent. Save your money. Don't got here.

This place is a country gem in our opinion. Sure, it is a little old, but that is part of its charm. We picked this restaurant to host our family's Thanksgiving get-together after discovering it in October. The T-Day Brunch was very good and a pretty good value for the six of us. The starter dishes were good, especially the shrimp cocktails. Family really liked the Prime Rib (husband's favorite), spiral ham, and roast turkey from the carving station table. I also liked the chicken in the sherry cream sauce. The many vegetable side dishes were a big hit, especially the light tasting broccoli-cheese casserole. Didn't see the carrots or the apple sauce that was listed on the menu. Desserts were typical, but good: apple and pumpkin pies, cheesecake, and bread pudding. The bread pudding was a little dry from sitting out and would have benefited from either ice cream or a sauce, which I may have missed. Still, our guests enjoyed the dinner and things went well. Naturally, it was rather noisy and service was a little hectic because the place was packed with families. It might help if the main dining room had draperies to absorb the sound. Everyone said that it was nice meal at a nice place.

I once loved the Brick Hotel Restaurant. I had been numerous times and would have given it five stars. Then there was this one time, one of my dining companions found the tip of a knife in his food. He showed it to the waitress, who brought it back to the chef. The chef sent the waitress back to our table with the statement "That's not one of our knives" essentially accusing us of planting it there. We weren't compted anything, and no one even apologized. Too bad for them, we were there trying to convince this dining companion to host a party there. That was 9 years ago and I have not step foot in this business and never will again.

Who would've thought that you'd find such an impressive restaurant in Newtown, PA?! Well, I found that business travel is always a good thing when you find a hidden gem. I don't know about the hotel because I didn't actually stay at the hotel, but the restaurant is outstanding! It's a part of a very VERY old building made of red brick (hence its name). The food and service were absolutely superb. I had a salad that was delicious, and lamb chops. I don't eat meat much, but the description in the menu made me drool. I was happy I got those because I am still drooling thinking about that meal. If you are around Philadelphia area (close to Newtown), visit this place, you'll love it.

The last time we had a good meal at the Brick Hotel was four years ago. Since then, it's been nothing but disappointment. Every time there is a change in management or head chef, we get our hopes up and try again, but I think we are done. We just went for Valentine's day- mediocre food at fine dining prices, with mediocre, indifferent service. The appetizer of bacon-wrapped scallops was decent. However, the Caesar salad tasted like it had french dressing on it. We had lobster tail as our enree, which was bland and uninspired. Dessert was some kind of chocolate mousse, which wasn't awful, but not great. When we received the bill, we noticed that they had already included a 20% gratuity. This would be fine if we had fine dining quality service, but our waitress may as well have worked at a chain restaurant for all the effort she put in- a 15% tip would have been generous for her. Overall, this place was not worth the money- it's a shame, because it has potential to be a really nice restaurant.

The Brick Hotel is-or should be-on its' way out. The following is how our weekend progressed. We were greeted upon arrival by a waitress/hotel receptionist we remembered from our last visit-she was the only ray of sunshine we experienced and gave us hope this visit would be different. But, she was the last good thing that happened to us. During our first night we could not alter the heat control and the room was stifling hot. Calls to the front desk were unanswered. Even the fan was broken and could only be turned off/on with pliers! (which, because of my arthritis, I could not even use). The next morning, while my husband was showering, he discovered that the bathroom light would randomly turn off, leaving him stranded in the dark, in the shower. I was forced to stand by the light and turn it back on every time it went off by itself. We were left ONE hand towel for two people, and the towel rack was on the wall, as far away from the sink as you could get, with no place to hang a towel closer to the sink. We went down to breakfast with the hope that (as they had so vehemently assured us that this time would be "pleasurable") this breakfast would be different. Wrong. My pancakes were so cold that the ONE pat of butter I was offered would not even begin to melt on them. The potato "pancake" was a joke, tasteless and cold. My husband's sunny side up eggs had hard, solid yokes-that can only happen when a microwave is used to rewarm already cooked eggs! The toast (2 slices) also came with ONE pat of butter and they were stale and cold. It was blatantly obvious that the whole "meal" was precooked the night before and "warmed up" in the microwave before being delivered to us. All of their assurances that it would be "pleasant" staying here again disappeared-never to resurface. To make matters even more deplorable, the pancakes made me sick all day, necessitating repeated unpleasant trips to the bathroom. When we returned, later in the day, we went to the bar in the hope that a bowl of soup would settle my stomach. I asked the waitress if the soup would be "cooked" by the same person who "cooked" the disgusting breakfast. Upon learning of our horrible experience, she insisted we talk to the head cook as she assured us he would surely want to know. Wrong again. He came out and spent approx. 15 minutes justifying himself, blaming the help, and never once simply apologized for what had happened to us. Oh, it gets better. As he knew we were having soup to settle our stomachs from the horrible breakfast, (THEY served us), imagine our shock and disbelief when we got a bill for the soup!! They couldn't even give us a complimentary bowl of soup to help us fix an upset stomach THEY created! Unbelievable. We were in utter disbelief. At that point we would have liked to leave this disaster of a hotel, but it was too late to get our money back for that night's stay. On to the second night. Could it get any worse? Yes. During our second night, the heat that was oppressive the night before decided to break down altogether and not work at all. We awoke at 5: a.m. to a freezing room. I called the front desk repeatedly. No one answered. What a surprise. They do not staff the front desk at all during the late and early hours! Restaurant employees randomly answer the hotel's front desk phone-and no on was available at all to answer our phone call reporting no heat at 5 a.m. or, in fact, anytime thereafter. We were so disgusted-and cold-that we packed up to check out (run away) early. At the front desk we had to wait, even though I repeatedly rang the bell. Finally, we realized that no one could hear the bell because the kitchen staff were playing blaring music and couldn't have heard us if we yelled. My husband had to go FIND someone. She finally came, never asked if we had enjoyed our stay, and when I told her the heat was broken, she actually claimed that couldn't be because they controlled the heat downstairs! That lie was the final insult. We literally ran to our vehicle, anything to escape this hellhole of a "hotel." So much for their claim they would make "sure" our return visit would be pleasant!!! We went to the Brick Hotel for Sunday Brunch this morning. I went several years ago and had a good experience, but this time the lack of crowd should have warned me. First, the service was very poor, and seemed like it was being run by college kids. We never did have a server; a server from another table took pity on us later during our meal. The food presented was low quality and not nearly as much of a variety as listed on the menu. A previous poster hit the nail on the head that there was little food available except for some stale bagels, soggy waffles, fatty, gray prime rib, wilted salad, and food that seemed like it had been prepared too many hours before. There was very little breakfast food in general, though there was tons of rice pilaf. We kept walking around wondering where the rest of the food was. On the bright side, the bacon was good. The worst part is that it was $57 for 2 people, without tip. I wish I talked to a manager, but there was none to be seen anyway. It's a shame that with such a wonderful location and outdoor seating they're not doing their best to get customers.
