My husband and I really like Newtown Pizza. Their pizza and pasta are very good, and they make excellent cheese steaks. Gabe, the owner, is very friendly. Sometimes, he'll come and sit with us at our table and chat for a while. We decided to order out and have chicken parm and eggplant parm delivered. After I placed the order, I read some of the reviews. Most of them were very good. One person commented that the eggplant parm was chewy. Well, he was right. It was too thick and chewy. I actually didn't eat it. The taste was good, but just too chewy. That's my only recommendation for Newtown Pizza. Gabe, if you are reading this, the eggplant would be delicious if it were sliced very thin

Newtown Pizza is a nice little shop across the street from the Green Parrot on Sycamore. They have been around for quite awhile too. I like that they are across the street from the Green Parrot because I just don't think the quality of food justifies the prices. Anyway, Newtown Pizza is your pretty basic pizza shop offering just about everything you might expect. A wide variety of pizza toppings, hoagies, ect... When I was here the other day, the food wasn't as good as I remember. My steak sandwich was fine, and the pizza we ordered was just over oily and way too soggy. The staff was very friendly though. I think Newtown Pizza would benefit from a menu overhaul that is smaller and carries fresher (i.e. not frozen) proteins and other ingredients.

Pizza was good but could have a bit crispier crust. Plus one star for the cleanest bathrooms ever.

Well if I lived any closer to this place I'd be 300 lbs. Solid cheesesteaks, fries were great and then there's their Trenton pie. Oh it was good. I took zero pics of our food because it was inhaled.

We moved into the 'burbs from the NYC area, we were all like ugh where are we gonna find good pizza? But now we're ordering a pie (or two) from Newtown Pizza on a weekly basis. Sometimes we'll even get crazy and order an appetizer of calamari or garlic knots (both very yum). Gotta tell them to go light on the cheese though otherwise it gets soggy (in my opinion). Top notch service and also a cute place to go sit although sometimes frequented by those scary things that refer to themselves as teenagers.

Great pizza with not the usual toppings, salads are very fresh and the baba gnash and hummus and other middles eastern dishes are tasty and authentic! We love eating outside in the summer and we love the back room in the winter. The food is hearty and has a home cooked look and taste. The service is attentive and quick and they have very thoughtful packaging of the food for take out so there are no spills or smashed sandwiches. Yummy, warm, tasty and friendly! Ivy, Newtown, PA

Yum! We love to sit outside and enjoy a slice here. Always a winner. Buffalo chicken pizza is my favorite.

When it comes to pizza, loyalty to a geographic region's tomato pie comes close to fanaticism. It is completely understandable that raging debates about whether Brooklyn or Pittsburgh or Trenton or Philly or some little shop on the wild streets of South Boston make the best pie. But, the wise peacemakers among us know the secret - they are all the best if you love them. So much better to put aside parochial claims of superiority and just eat them all! Even the worst is so much better than what those poor souls have to accept as pizza in Colorado or some other state with altitude. Just mange and enjoy. Let your oralgasms carry you away... Newtown Pizza makes a decent pizza, but it will never be mistaken for an escapee from Napoli nor Roma, let alone Brooklyn Heights nor Chambersburg. Yet, walking by the display counter with all the attractive pies can set your glands a-squeezing, and the Trenton Pie is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye and tongue. The crust hold the weight of the toppings firmly, perhaps because it is a bit thicker than Romana, and the ingredients are top shelf. Still, the overall taste sensation is not the transcendent experience of my favorite pizza shrines. Nonetheless, it is a standup slice worthy of consumption. The Eggplant Parm is not always prime, as I have found it to be tough chewing at times. The same goes for the steak sandwiches. Mostly a good fill, but occasionally a little under or over grilled. Just enough to keep you guessing. Friendly ownership, staff and crew, and a good citizen in the community. As offered at the top, to each his/her own when it comes to pizza. For those of us who love Ntown Pizza, the world is your oyster. Chow down close to home. For the others of us who have different pizza needs, we know where to go to satisfy them, both near and far. 8.27.13 I just had a couple of great slices of Newtown Pizza's Margarita Pie. Really excellent. I like a slightly charred crust because it tends to be crunchy and supportive of the weight above it. This one was, with a mildly sweet sauce and fresh mozza, doctored with a light dusting of hot chili pepper flakes. Take a look at the photo. It was as good as it looks. Keep it up fellas and cinco estrellas could be close at hand.

I wouldn't recommend this place to a dog.. The only thing good was the delivery driver!!! First they messed my order up, I ordered Chicken Cheesesteak Hoagies and they sent plain chicken cheesesteaks which happens so I'm not being a jerk but when I called them they tried to tell me that is what I must've ordered so I asked him why did they charge me for the hoagie and he said they were the same price and the online prices are outdated. Now I would've been satisfied with a great sandwich but the chicken was the dry obviously frozen cardboard crap that you buy from the market and the sandwich was cold. The 1 star is for the driver.

If you thought you have had a good Buffalo Chicken Cheese steak or your all philly and you know your shi*, well think again because their buff chic is theeee best in the business. Crispy roll as in perfectly toasted roll, buff sauce is the bomb and the blue cheese sets it off. No where else makes a better buff chic. Oh and their pizza is banging too.

Their pizza is good but they have some of the best cheesesteaks in the area!!! Both their regular and buffalo chicken cheesesteaks are to die for..

Great hoagies and steaks. Recently was turned back on to this place. My wife was not a fan of the pizza. But a good friend reminded me you don't get all your favorite foods from one place. That's why he prefers take out or delivery. So far had a great generous sized turkey hoagie, cheese steak, and some fries. Very good. She sandwiches come in a nice cardboard to go box. Reminds me of a good hoagie that is tightly wrapped. Something about that says a lot about how a place cares for their food. 5 starts when I give the pizza a try.

I'm cheating on Marco's while they rebuild after the fire, so I was happy to find that Newtown Pizza has good pizza and a great value. $2.50 for giant slices. Friendly staff brought our pizza to our table. Delicious garlic knots. We tried two different specialty slices and their plain slices. Crust: Crispy thin crust with cornmeal. Good texture but no flavor. Would benefit from more salt in the dough and a day or so for the rise. Sauce: Too raw. I don't like overly sweet tomato sauces but this wasn't cooked long enough and didn't have much depth of flavor. Garlic would help a lot and so would more olive oil. Cheese: Fine. They have buffalo mozzarella on some specialty slices.

Went to a previously planned child's birthday party here. The owner wanted to separate the party because he was concerned we would take up to much space for his dinner rush. We were there at 3:30. He basically asked five and six year old children, and their parents to leave the restaurant.

Love Newtown Pizza! They have good mediterranean dishes too. The lamb gyro is my fav. When we first moved to the area we couldn't find a good pizza place, finally we found newtown pizza. They are nice in there too. When I go in there with my 18m old son, they help me take the food out. There food is very good but the little things make them better than the others in newtown.

My favorite pizza place in Newtown. Good pizza in a nice friendly environment. Say hi to Lori and Gabriel while you're there.

Growing up in New Jersey, affords me with the ability to know good pizza, and Newtown Pizza makes good pizza. Usually in PA the pizza crust is too thick and the sauce too sweet. Neither is true of the pizzas here. They do have other good dishes as well. The eggplant parm is nice, however is not served with a pasta side rather a large, by my standards, side salad made up of hearty spring mix instead of boring romaine. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

Outstanding Trenton pizza (and regular pizza as well). They also have a good mediterranean menu if you're into that. I would stick to those two items...the other Italian offerings do not measure up.

Tried their pizza tonight. Three of us had an everything pizza, slices of mushroom, Marguerite and white with garlic. Margurita was the best. All very tasty. The owner, server is friendly. Nice Italian ambience. They have a great menu, we just went for pizza.

Great pizza and a wonderful staff. It gets busy on the weekends but worth the wait. I'm usually there once a week.
