Excellent place if you like meat. My favorites are the beef kabobs and the assorted items wrapped in bacon. Staff at this place is always fantastic. New set-up on salad bar is improved but don't fill up on the salad bar. You will regret it if you do. Once the parade of meat is over and you think you can't eat anything else, get the grilled pineapple which is included with the meal. It is awesome. Who knew grilled pineapple could taste so good? And if you still have room for more, the flan is excellent. They also make a nice sangria.

I love this place. The meat is great and the caipirinha is an amazing drink. Staff is good and always respectful , especially the meat cutters. They are almost always on point with how you want your meat cooked and will take care of you if it isn't . The Brazilian Steakhouse in Allentown doesn't come close to Rio's in Nazareth

First off, i want to say that my previous experience with Brazilian Steakhouses is with the na'Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse near Philly. The restaurant was small but clean. The employees were all pleasant and polite. The salad bar was surprisingly small and had almost no choices. It was literally a mini salad bar, with some cucumbers and tomatoes thrown in. I think this is one of the areas that the restaurant could vastly improve on. As for the meat, which is the reason people will go here, the food was good. They had a good selection although nothing really stood out as great. The waiter brought each meat type out one at a time, with about 5 minutes between each type. After going through each type, the waiter disappeared, even though 2 of us were still hungry for more. When we mentioned that we would like some more portions, the staff was surprised but courteous. They did eventually bring out some more selections, but these were sparse. The reason I mention this is because at na'Brasa, the meat was non-stop and we had to actually send waiters away. It was a little disappointing going through this restaurant. Finally, the 1 plus for this restaurant compared to other similar ones is the price. If you can, go between Tuesday and Thursday because it is cheaper then (and the same food). On a side note, I had the original (lime) and the guava Caipirinha there. Both were good although a little sweet and not as fresh tasting as ones I've had before. Both we're very strong and worth the $7 they cost.

3.5/ 5 price is $25 on weekends and cheaper Tues-Thurs I've had these guys' meats at festivals before but never made it to the restaurant. I've been to fogo de chao in Philly ($52), for comparison. I thought the meats were good overall and held up well to FdC. The bacon-wrapped turkey was excellent. So was the skirt steak and pork. I thought the lamb was average. Both sausages were tasty. The cinnamon pineapple at the end was tasty and my table loved it. Overall I stuffed myself silly. The service was excellent and they just kept coming with meats. The drinks were well mixed and fairly priced. On the flip side, I found that the dishware and utensils were not thoroughly cleaned at my table. The salad bar was disappointing. Other rodizio places have a bar with sides, starches, etc. I guess they figure they throw so much meat at you, that you don't need the sides. The garlic steak was too much for me, and I felt it for hours. In summary, the price they charge is very fair and you definitely get a good value, especially when you consider it's literally half the cost of FdC in Philly. I just think they have room for improvement. Plus why aren't they open for lunch anymore?

This restaurant was all and more promised. The food was sensational, and never ended. The staff was friendly, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable. The food just kept coming, one delicious main course after another, and they kept coming , until we had to cry out, No Mas ! At that point, some barbequed pineapple was brought out, and it was truly the topper to a simply enjoyable and delicious gastronomical feast. Highly recommended to any carnivores out there !

Ok let me start by saying we have been to this restaurant 3 times over the past cpl years. I hope they are reading this because the frist time and the second time were awesome but the last which was last week not so much. I dont know if there has been a change in the staff or what the situation is but whatever it is hurting them. We first noticed that it was very slow compared to prior visits. Went to salad bar and no white rice which took them 10 minutes to get after we brought it to their attention? Really? They kept bringing the same meats over and over and when we were basically done and saw a server go around the room and give out the 4 pieces of sirloin wrapped in bacon(which we had not been offered) we asked a server ( not ours because he was gone and rarely stopped back) if we could have some it finally came after the pineapple and coffee was offered 25 minutes later. The server got annoyed that we asked for it and didnt want it after our coffee,I know we have nerve right? The meats were fatty and for the most part very dry and overcooked. I dont want to bash this place I would love them to respond and tell me they are fixing this problem because it was becoming our favorite place to go to and we live a hour away in NJ from them. Please fix it we would love to go back!!

Atmosphere is a little Perkins-meets-neighborhood bar and the wall a/c's were working overtime on the hot night we visited. Staff is fabulous, very friendly, relaxed, and funny. Place has a much more family-friendly vibe than romantic vibe. The rooms are a little tight/crowded and occasionally you worry about getting clobbered in the back of the head if your seat is on the busy aisle. If there's a large family of screaming kids nearby, also be prepared not to be able to hear yourself think. Salad bar is small, had rice/beans, some salad items, potato salad, chicken salad, beef stroganoff, fried fish, and chicken lasagne. Rice/beans very nice. Meats are good, although the delivery is cute it can make it tough to talk at the table as conversation stops every time the guy with the skewer comes by. Although it doesn't seem like alot of food, we left almost uncomfortably full. For those who've never been to a Brazillian Steakhouse and want something different, I can see the appeal. While we had a nice time, I don't see it being a regular haunt.

This is the best priced brazilian steak you will ever find. The meats are delicious and the wait staff is very pleasant. It is true that their "salad bar" is small, but who goes to a churrascaria for the stupid side dishes? It is NOT a formal restaurant, the vibe is more like a local bar than a formal restaurant. My wife prefers "Made in Brazil" but Rios is definitely my favorite. The atmosphere is much more alive.

Great atompshere. Really good waiter and I loved the Garlic bread he brought us. The chicken came out first, not bad. But then the sausages, oh the freakin sausages. So tender and fatty and full of flavor. The Filet wrapped in bacon and the tri-tip were good. The spicy sausage and the pork shoulder were quite dry. But oh that first suasage. Its going to be like chasing that first heroin high. If I had any idea what that is like. COME HERE PURPLE DRAGON OF SAUSAGE.

When this place opened, in place of some local dive tavern house, we were beyond excited..."A Brazilian spot 3 minutes from the house! Sweet!". Ok...so, it's no Fogo De Chao, or Texas de Brazil...but the idea of a meat on a stick joint that is not overpriced was appealing. The meat did not disappoint, it was tender, and seasoned perfectly. As mentioned, the salad bar was a little bizarre...as if they tried to stuff a supermarket salad-mediterranean-asian bar into the mix. Dolmas with my Brazilian meat on a stick!?!? Ok. The house wine was quite nice, and I believe I did have the cab actually...although did not notice the producing vineyard. The staff...well, I am not sure were they got this kid who was our server, but holy crap. He was attentive and freindly to a fault...at one point we actually, and very politely mind you, had to ask him to give us a bit of "alone time". Everyone was very nice, and even though that particular evening the place was pretty packed, the meat fest kept on a rolling without fail. So, if you love all you can eat meat orgys(and who doesn't really), and are looking to adopt a lonely young waiter child...you know the rest. Oh...Ok, so why 3-stars? Well, even though the price and food were spot on, the typical "big show" brazilian steakhouse accompaniments just weren't there.

I recently ate here with a group of five. Rios is out in the middle of nowhere, but worth the drive. Great place for groups - there were several big parties there. It's a special occasion kind of place - the food is too heavy for regular dining, but I'd be happy to eat here a few times a year for birthdays, etc. Pros: The price - about $25/pp for all-you-can-eat meat Skirt steak - I could have eaten the entire skewer Bacon-wrapped turkey - is there any other way to eat turkey? Spicy sausage - a little dry, but very spicy Caipirinha - very strong, very delicious The soup at the salad bar - black bean with pork, very tasty Service - it took us a little while for them to get to us (we were at a cramped table in the corner), but the service was great - friendly, didn't hover Cons: Parking lot is cramped Salad bar - aside from the soup, nothing special Restaurant has the look of a sports bar, not much in the way of ambiance Highlight of the night - the dirty look a waitress gave the drunk lady sitting behind us, as she caught her shoveling meat into a ziploc bag in her purse. All in all, I'd look forward to eating here for a special occasion, and I'd definitely come back (but not for a while - I'm still digesting!).

The service is SO SO FRIENDLY and the atmosphere is great for small or large parties (in that the food comes to you for an all you can eat restaurant).. I would give 5 stars for the service and sincere friendliness of the staff. ..unfortunately the food was disappointing (I am used to Greenfields in NY and have been to many other churrascarias so I had expectations of juicy tasty meats). A lot of the meat was dry and chewy and not very flavorful. Maybe some dipping sauces would help. The salad bar had a very small and unappetizing selection. However, the roasted cinnamon pineapples were delicious and the guys kept coming back to fill our plates when they saw how much we liked them. The drinks and dessert are not included in the price.

NOTE I STRUGGLED BETWEEN CLICKING BETWEEN 3 and 4 stars for 5 minutes.....then had to get on with my life. I was taken to Rios Brazilian Steakhouse as a birthday treat...........knowing that I don't mind being a carnivore. As mentioned, this seems out of place in Nazareth, but it was a Sunday evening and I was pleasantly surprised how good of a crowd was there. Most of the people here comprised of larger parties......minimum of 6 people, but there were a few parties of two or three peppered inside as well. Just to give a few of the details.....the location formerly was Al's Front Porch....a local bar, and a small mom and pop restaurant before Rios came to be. Anyway....the details, the place really is divided into two rooms, the front being where the "spits" are cooking the meat, the rear in a nicely lit bar room with a big flatscreen (yes...they have a full bar). I should never assume anything, but for those who have never heard of a Brazilian steakhouse, picture you sitting at a table and the "waiters" come with 2 ft long skewers of various items and ask if you would like some. You use tongs and take the item they sliced off and put it on your plate.....this is the simple form of it. At Rios...this foundation is still what is happening. They explain they have a small buffet (with items ranging from simple Brocolli, to Chicken Cachatori (sp?), to Chicken salad (yea.....I was surprised to see it...but something about it tasted great). A few other starches hit the table like fried potatoes / french fries and fried banana's.....and then the gentlemen come around with the skewers of meat. They say they have 10 to 15 options per night....this was a Sunday night and here was what was offered.....again, you don't get a full portion of what you are reading....kind of like a sample (but I'm sure you could ask for more): Sirloin Steak (seasoned), Spicy Sausage (that's all they described it as), Chicken Leg, Pork Tenderloin (Marinated), Rump Roast (Fantastic....marinated....very juicy....loved it), "Not" spicy sausage (for lack of a better term think kelbasi), NY Strip Steak (seasoned...very good), Kabob (a bit tough), beef rib (eh...)....one other thing I can't remember....as well as Pineapple off of a skewer with cinnamon. Great ending touch. Overall we were very pleased and the staff certainly encourages you to eat at your own pace.....we did not feel rushed at all. For something a bit unique....consider this place. I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Icky ick ick ick. Went here to try out a Brazilian Steakhouse and found a small, dirty, tacky place instead. I guess I am used to the Brazilian Steakhouses of Philadelphia because this was just disappointing. The salad bar was the best thing about this place and even then I've had better one's at Ruby Tuesdays lol. Anyway, they advertise 14 different meats/cuts made to order. I like my meat well done, but this was just un-edible. Tough, chewy, stringy, each piece that came to my table required multiple cups of water to even get down. My date only eats rare to medium-rare beef so this was just a waste of time. Would not come back here and would like to see the Leigh Valley get a nicer Brazilian Steakhouse!

  • Cheryl H.

It's a novelty. The "salad" bar was odd...strange choices. There should be more than just fries for a side dish with the meat selections. The pork sausage is more like kielbasa, not sausage. Overall, the price was TOO expensive for what you got. Would not go back.

Thanks to yelpers for this suggestion. We got there kinda late and noticed that it was not to busy, but that was not a problem. The grill was turned back on and the different varieties of meat soon were coming out of the kitchen. OMG, all of it was very very good. As we were taking breaks between the different meats, the owner came over and we had some great conversation. I wish this place was closer to home. The price was very reasonable considering all the food we had to eat. Highly recommended for the carnivores.

Very good food. Excellent casual atmosphere. Very friendly wait staff and meat serving professionals. Meats as good as those other very expensive Brazilian places. Salad bar was adequate. Black beans, rice and collard greens were ver good. Cheeses would have been nice to add. Drinks were very good. They have multiple TVs near near the bar if you want to catch the game. Tons of meats from Turkey with bacon, sausage, sirloin, filet mignon, garlic steak, ribs, chicken, skirt steak, lamb, and more and it keeps on coming. Pineapple with cinnamon was a nice after all the Meat. About $28 per adult for dinner on Sat night. Kids about 1/2 price.

Meat was awesome as well as the service. I would definitely recommend reservations and bring along your appetite. The Grilled Pineapple at the end of the meal is the best!

Being Brazilian myself, I have eaten rodizio all my life. I was surprised to see how legit this place was. Just as good as the Brazilian restaurants in Newark, with all the meats, no waiting to be served, all you can eat delicious meats! The owners are Brazilian and they are there all the time. If you want genuine Brazilian churrasco, try this place. Oh and try the caipirinha! It rocks!!!!

We went to Rios Brazillian Steakhouse to celebrate a birthday. Certainly the most interesting meal I have ever had. They bring many varieties of meats on skewers. Nice salad bar with excellent black bean soup. Fried bananas to refresh the palate. More meat and at the end grilled pineapple with cinnamon and brown sugar on the outside. Simply excellent. Highly recommend.

Almost 5 stars... Unbelievable array of meat for less than $20 per person if you sign up for email and bring printed coupon when you dine Monday through Friday. Buy a really decent bottle of wine for far less than the average restaurant mark up at around $25 a bottle. Nice selection of cocktails sometimes marked down as specials. BTW - best potato salad you will ever have.

Dining Date: June 26, 2014 for dinner. I have been to Rios a couple of times in the past. The quality of the meats have improved over time where I would now say they are excellent. The staff there is very friendly and make the experience much more enjoyable. The only thing keeping the rating at 4 stars is the salad bar is a bit generic. The grilled cinnamon pineapple at the end of the meal is delicious!

  • Patrick H.

The FOOD is the STAR as it should be 5 stars for quality, 4 stars for diversity (they don't do exotic meats as many Brazilian churrascarias do but that may be due to state or local food regs) service is very good but the meats do come around slow and random at times... the Picanha is of course the star and worth waiting for just have them leave one of the 3 entire hunks on your plate and you won't be drooling waiting for it to come back around... I've eaten here many times even if it is an hours ride to get to it... and quality has always been consistent... price has recently increased, hours have changed, the lost a few lunch services and it appears management is different every time I go, so I'm not sure what is going on with that... there are other Brazilian churrascaria in NJ (Churrascaria Hackettstown Paladar. ... 105 Main St., Hackettstown, NJ, 07840 is the closest but their prices are a bit higher $40/person for Rodizio as opposed to $25 at Rios...and if you bring 4 people the have a special that you eat for 3 that makes it $19/person. That less than half the price so it's well worth the ride...but come hungry and expect to stay a LONG TIME...so bring people you like...lol

The food quality here is great. The service is friendly and upbeat but unfortunately, we have ate here for the last time. We have had several good experiences but in the last year, we have had more bad than good. Last night we ate there with another couple (4 people total) and we were served quickly and saw the meat start coming. It was about 35 minutes and 5 different meats later, that it started to stop. We waited another 20 minutes and didnt have any more meat brought back to our table. We started looking at the dessert menu and finally decided to get a dessert. We werent pleased with the fact that we paid $30 per person for the ever limited salad bar, and only 5 meats! Then, to really add to the frustration, our bill was $197 for our table since they added $34 gratuity!! I think that is ridiculous since there was only 4 people and we were unhappy with the service to begin with. For the price, we talked and agreed that we can certainly get more bang for our buck at other restaurants.

Not at all impressed. Food was ok. Some of the meat was over cooked. Salad bar is small and very limited. The building is terrible, in need of repairs and maintenance. On the good side, the staff was very friendly and our meat server was very personable. I am in no rush to go back.

Great service and very well prepared food. They are more than happy to serve you any amount of meat you desire .the salad bar is fresh and clean. They had black bean soup when we went which was delicious .Im not a big meat eater so as my husband enjoyed yet another type of meat I ordered coffee and the chocolate mouse both were excellent Even for me who isn't a big time carnivore the meal was very enjoyable . I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant .

My wonderful husband took me here for our anniversary. That was very sweet and my first time eating Brazilian. I had no expectation. They had 5 stars all the way on yelp. The food was ok. They must of been short like 4 people on staff because the service was awful. The two employees really tried to serve us well but when you are the chef, waitress, hostess, bartender and a few other roles in two people it's just hard to provide good service.

Decided to try Rios a second time as friends wanted to try it since we are local to Rios. The first time was when they first opened and not the greatest and said we would not return. I will say Rios has come a long way but still has a long way to go. I would like to state we are regulars to the ethnic Newark NJ scene so we have had the best and may be spoiled. Building- Outside needs real work. Inside is nice enough and definately a very casual setting which is right up my alley. Drinks- were good and cold but our drink server was a little slow but friendly. Salad bar / side bar- below average if you look for that to go along with your meal compared to others. Meat- selection was average, some over seasoned, some over cooked, some under cooked. We had multiple servers that made multiple trips with the same meats, until we asked where the filet, turkey wrapped with bacon, and pork were and then they started to bring the more popular and mabe more expensive choices out. We were almost full at that point as well. Pineapple was very good also and perhaps the best I've had. Service- friendly but felt like we were being hurried along as almost all servers(not even ours) were stopping at the tables to check and see if we were still eating when clearly we were. Maybe I read into this to much. Either way we did not leave until our bellies were full. I will say the owner was very nice and took time to speak with us multiple times while he was serving. After the meal- perhaps coincidental but my wife and I meals went right through us. Tips 1. Go to Newark worth the drive if you can (Ferry St.) 2. Ask for what cut of meat you want right away 3. Seems like the longer you stay the saltier the meats get(Maybe away to get you to stop eating) 4. may want a sweater if you do not like it cold 5. check to see if they included an 18% tip in the bill total or you may be tipping twice Take my review with a grain of salt becuase it seems most have a different view of ther experiences. We will not return even for others to try. Other local options in the area to go to.

I absolutely love this place. The food is delicious. The salad bar is great as well, try the macaroni salad and then the black bean soup. The meats are excellent!! Make sure to get the grilled pineapple as well at the end! Staff is kind and attentive. Highly recommend this place!!!

  • Colleen D.

Delicious! Even my picky 9-year-old loves this place. He chows down on the chicken hearts. The restaurant is family-friendly, and kids get to eat half price, but my husband and I come here alone as well. Hubby and I favor the beef rump roast. This is easily one of our favorite places to dine in the LV, and we're well-traveled foodies.

  • Amanda M.

I totally give it 5 stars!! My 1st time here last night and it was great!!! Mind you, if you're watching your diet or counting calories, it's not ideal...unless you know portion control and you can stop yourself, like I do....then you'll be fine. The meat was very well cooked, the salad bar was great and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

One of the best places to go in Nazareth if you want a great cut of meat wether it's chicken steak beef lamb! They are all so yummy! Never leave this place disappointed that's for sure ! And the grilled pineapple is just heavenly !

  • Chris F.

Went here with our son home from the Marines and with a big appetite, food was very good, service as well. With that being said the salad bar could use some improvement, pitcher of sangria for 30 bucks is a little steep, and the place needs updating, floors are water damaged and the entire back of the building is missing siding ? Otherwise good eats.

Second time here. First time was ok, but this visit I was pleasantly surprised. Great salad bar (with a good black bean soup), great variety of meat all were really good. Staff was very friendly this visit. Since we live in Nazareth, we will be sure to visit again!

I have been here about 10 times in the last two years. I'm a big guy who loves steak, and once my friend introduced me to this place, it was love. The meats here are absolutely excellent. The staff is very friendly, attentive, professional and knowledgeable. One you've had a little of everything, you can request your favorite cuts of meat. The grilled pineapple, which is included, is a dessert within itself. However, the desserts are also fantastic. The salad bar is also very good - try the chicken salad. The drinks are very strong and delicious. The only downside is on weekdays, they sometimes don't have the staff to handle a large crowd, but this has only happened to me once. The price is extremely reasonable as well ($25 / person) and if you sign up for their e-mail alerts, sometimes you can get two for $35 deals. In summation, delicious meat, strong drinks, great service. CHEAP. If I could eat here every day, I would.

  • Kelli R.

If you don't like meat, don't come here. The night I visited Rios, they presented 14 different types/cuts of meat in the typical brazilian steakhouse fashion including several types of beef - the skirt steak was my favorite!, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, sausage and I'm prob forgetting a few others. The salad bar is meh, but you don't come to this type of steakhouse for salad! The grilled pineapple at the end of the meal was awesome. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The skewers full of meats were well seasoned, tender and delicious. Tip: An 18% gratuity is added to the check of tables of 4 or more

We gathered for a small family reunion early on Tuesday night. By the time we left, every table in the house was full. On a weeknight in mid-November, this level of activity is a very good sign. For most of our party, this was our first Brazilian steakhouse experience. We were all very happy about it. The young man who did the carving of each of the meets appears to be a real Brazilian. His accent was thick, and I wondered if it might be contrived. In any case, it didn't really matter, as he took very good care of us, waiting patiently as we helped move the sliced meats from his spit to our place. The only reason I would give this less than five stars is because of the extremely high sodium content of some of the meats. Everyone reported feeling stuffed, but in retrospect we all drank a tremendous amount of water. Methinks the over-emphasis on salts is the cause. The staff and Service are all very friendly, the price is good, and I would encourage anyone who eats meat to check this place out. While you're in town, do the tour of the Martin Guitar factory.

We really wanted to like Rios, based on the glowing reviews and the friendly staff. In the end, though, it just wasn't worth $108 to us (two adults, two children under age 12). We probably should have asked the price first, but we had just driven into town and were really hungry. Because it had only two dollar signs on Yelp, my husband and I simply assumed it wouldn't be too pricey. In my book we might pay $60 and even as much as $80 for a family of four for a 2 $$ restaurant, but over $100 was a first. On to the food: the salad bar is so-so. I like salad so this was a downer for me. However, there were warm greens, bean soup and rice in tureens at the end of the bar, and the greens and bean soup were quite good. As for the meats, the most off-putting part is the service. We have been to other types of restaurants like this where you have some sort of device to signal when you would like servers to come by with the meats and when you need a break from the action. It is really hard to focus on what you're eating when someone is constantly coming by the table, offering more, more, albeit very nicely. It makes for a rushed experience. The meats and sausages were all delicious, the chicken not so much--too dry. None of us liked the roasted pineapple with cinnamon (and I've roasted pineapple on the grill before that was really good). Maybe it was the cinnamon. I got a sangria, and it was absolutely the worst I've ever had. Tasted like cough syrup! No one else had drinks. Maybe this is a good restaurant for the area. I don't know since we only stayed one night. But it's not likely a place we'd visit again, based on the price-value ratio. Still, I imagine a lot of people will like it.

I've been to a Rios Brazilian Steakhouse in NYC and thought this place was just as nice and big as that restaurant but unfortunately it wasn't. Its very small and limited amount of food, especially the salad bar. Tables were somewhat crammed together. The meat weren't as good too but only one meat was good which were the steak. Service was decent and the price was sort of inexpensive!

  • Janel E.

We have been to Rios 4 times....each was more enjoyable than the previous time. You definitely have to like meat and eating!!! I always encourage our dinner companions to not 'waste space' on the salad bar......that's not WHY you go to this place, right? It is usually on the salty side, although when we were there a few weeks ago, it didn't seem as salty as it had in the past. We will definitely be back....good food, good, service, and always a good time!!

  • Kent G.

The food is spectacular! I have been to many Brazilian steakhouses and this one is in the top 3. The service was absolutely wonderful. The salad bar is very good, however; the sirloin, pork and filet were my favorites. These gentlemen know how to treat customers while making the best food in the area!

We came to Rios Brazilian Steakhouse all for the first time. It was extremely busy because it was Father's Day. They were very accommodating and were able to seat us. I had never been here. If you love meat and / or are on the Atkins diet, this is the place for you! There was some great flavors here. They just keep trying to give you meat even when you're eating dessert, lol! I had really high hopes for this place. My girlfriend is originally from Sao Paulo. We have been to 3 others Brazilian restaurants in the Lehigh valley. So we decided to take my old roommate out to eat at Rios for the first time. This was bad from the start. Our drinks barely very late. My friend never received his til we asked fab out it. The salad bar was pathetic. It looked like Olive Garden, very disappointed. Very few authentic Brazilian foods, too Americanized. Now to discuss the meat. I don't like to eat medium well unless I buy it and know its high quality meat. I asked every waiter for well done no red. Maybe once did I get a well piece. Only chicken was chicken hearts, wtf. I can go on for days but let me save you so much time, go to Rodizios on lehigh street, allentown. A chain restaurant should never be higher quality than this place. I was very embarrassed, only went because Rodizio's was fully booked, never again.

Salad bar was not very good but they made up for it with the meat. Service was very nice. Some of the beef was a little on the salty side everything was hot and tasty.

The food itself was pretty good but it was overly salty. I agree with the other reviewers that I ended up being full not because of how much meat I ate but the sheer amount of water I drank. The salad bar was mediocre, not that a salad bar is the main attraction at a rodizio, but you need a plate of something light to help cut the heaviness of the meat. The servers were very sweet and attentive; the tables don't have the traditional indicators to flip to red when you need a break so they are forced to ask you whenever they pass your table. Given that the place was small and not overly crowded I was willing to overlook the small staff and limited offering of meat and would have given it 4 stars except that at the very end when I went to pay the check I was made to feel like dirt. Rios advertises on their website a VIP club you can join for free and receive coupons. It specifically advertises a 2 for 35 deal. I signed up for it and received it by email. The email specifies please print and bring along. I don't have access to a printer. So when I went to pay the check I asked if I could apply the coupon and showed him the email. He took the phone, zoomed in to the portion that read please print, put the phone close to my face and pointed. Then said 'I'll take care of it'. I'm almost positive it was the owner. I just wish that if it wasn't an issue Then it should have been handled better. All in all, mediocre.

Fantastic! Great concept, great atmosphere nothing not to like here. We called ahead, because my daughter is a vegetarian, I thought there would be only limited selections for her, but they made her a special salmon meal with grilled vegs. The owner brought it to the table, we are all treated like they were truly happy we came. My new favorite place!

I'm basically in agreement with the majority of people here, Rios is a great. Small salad bar without a lot of variety, but I'm not filling up on the greens when I'm going to an all I can eat meat festival. Love their beef, love their sausage...not as big a fan of the chicken, but I still eat it! I visit as often as I can!

The food is good. I probably would've enjoyed it more if it was cooked a little more. We told the waiter we like medium to medium well. I didn't know that meant dripping blood. I also wish there was a little more options for side dishes. What they had wasn't very good and looked like it had been sitting all day. I also think its a bit over priced.

Went here twice. Staff is very friendly and drinks are excellent. My only qualm was that the meat on both occasions was very salty. I was with a group of 10-15 both times and we kept asking them to not salt the meat so much

Its a Brazilian steakhouse, what can I say? My boyfriend loves the caipirinha drink. Sometimes I think he goes there for the drink and disguises it with a wanting for an endless supply of meat. I don't blame him though. I go there for the fried banana! I am one of those that gets well done ... I know I know. But they know how to do it right!

  • Chelsea P.

Wow, where to begin?! Just reminiscing about my experience here makes me feel like a whale again. Needless to say, if you're a meat-lover, this is your place! It's pretty much endless. On the particular night we went, there were 19 different meat options and the men serving the meat were friendly and charming. Our server was just ok, not particularly attentive or friendly. Communication between staff was not that great, and you need that in a place like this where there are many people coming to your table. If I had to make a recommendation -- it would be not to fill yourself up with rice or anything else at the salad bar. Waste of time. Save room for the meat! Besides, they give you sides of fried bananas and hush puppies at your table anyway. Annnd they top off the meal with grilled pineapple for dessert. Also, don't get your cholesterol checked anywhere within a week after eating here.

Holly meat..... I have been to a few of these Brazillian Churrascarias...Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, Brazil, Venice CA, Guatemala...well you get the picture... I love my barbeque meat...Wow i should most likely reword that...Anyways. The cuts of meat where good. Tender for some and well marianted for others. I have to say I was a wee bit suprized to find this jem in Allentown. My partner in crime, had a bit of drool coming down the corner of his mouth when he realize it was a meat feast..He didnt have to any veggies at all if he didnt want too since the salad bar is included and i have to say was abit odd....his heart sang with joy.. 40 minutes later..in a meat comma he was very happy and was happly gurgling through beer and meat. Saying oooh this is the bestest.. After a good tip and a great conversation with the manager - we will be returning this this place and my partner says with eyes glazing over...have Brazillian Meeeaaattt... Ps he promptly fell asleep on our return trip home..thanks Rios!

This is a 3 star brazilian steakhouse experience elevated to 4 stars by the cheap-o price. 15 kinds of meats plus salad bar for like $25/head? YES. I AM IN. $3 beers? GREAT. LOVE IT. The lack of a hot bar? I mean, that's kind of a loss, but you know, it's about the meat anyway. So, for me, not a huge loss, but still. Most of the meat was good. The cuts of steak were (predictably) the best -- here's a shout out for RUMP STEAK and SKIRT STEAK! WOO! The lamb was just okay, even though I was excited about. The bacon wrapped turkey was a standout. LOVED IT. Also, gotta love the chicken hearts. Make sure you leave a little room for the ridiculously delicious grilled pineapple. Trust me. You're gonna eat it even if you're way too full, and then you may regret it.

After visiting Fogo de Chao in Philadelphia a few weeks back, I found a new and insatiable love of Brazilian churrascarias. What I did not love, however, was the check left at the end of the meal at other Brazilian steakhouses. At fifty dollars a person without tax, gratuity, dessert, and drinks, a trip to Fogo de Chao hurt the wallet. But I digress as this review is about another Brazilian steakhouse, one that is so unlike Fogo de Chao. I dined at this restaurant over President's weekend with my husband, my brother, and his girlfriend. For the most part, we are not picky eaters, but can identify good cuts of meat and quality. We were a little nervous to try this establishment because it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere and it was only about $25 per person. We thought, how can it be that an endless meat parade was so affordable. Additionally, we utilized a highly discounted restaurant.com coupon and saved even more. We sat down and were immediately greeted by the host (who I think may also be a manager or part owner). He was extremely friendly and accomodating. We quickly visited the salad bar, which pales in size comparison to Fogo, but sometimes size does not matter. Their rice and beans were fantastic and so was their Brazilian-style stroganoff. The selections they had were slim, but were delightful. Next, began the meat train. They offer fifteen meats and I think we stopped after trying about eleven of these meats. After waking up from my carnivorous binger, I recalled the following (in no particular order): 1. Bacon-wrapped turkey breast- Fantastic! 2. NY strip steak- A little tough, but tasty 3. Skirt steak- Amazingly tender and deliciously marbelized. We were asked if we would like seconds and quickly said yes. 4. Pork tenderloin- Good. 5. Chicken legs- I did not partake because I am not a huge chicken fan, but my brother said they were good. 6. Bacon wrapped sirloin- Awesome, but then again, bacon is a meat bandaid. 7. Filet mignon- Decent, but I think filet is lacking in flavor so I was not incredibly impressed. 8. Pork sausage- I enjoyed these as much as I could enjoy any sausage, but I am not usually a fan of sausage. 9. Tri-tip- Decent, but tasted a little like roast beef. 10. Chicken hearts- My brother tried them, not his thing, but he still made the attempt. 11. Lamb- Not my thing, but still it seemed decent. 12. Cinnamon-roasted pineapple- Delightful end to the meal! We did not drink any beverages of the alcoholic persuasion, but the table next to us got a sake-based beverage. It came with a grape-flavored popsicle which looked pretty awesome. Overall, the price of my meal was delightful. I ate a variety of delcious meats for two hours. The owners were friendly and accomodating. And, it wasn't as stuffy or suit-filled as Fogo de Chao was. My meal was perfect :) By the way, the owner mentioned doing a bacon-themed happy hour in the near future. Though it is a two-hour drive for me, I may have to venture out!

Brazilian men with swords speared through various bacon wrapped meats...its a beautiful thing! The salad bar was lackluster and I wish Rios would add a few side dishes to their menu for lighter fare to complement all that glorious meat. A Xingu beer pairs perfectly with the smokey grilled flavors.

I came here after scuba diving at Dutch Springs. I have never been to a Brazilian rodízio steakhouse and the food here was absolutely amazing! I started off with the signature Brazilian drink...Caipirinha. It was tasty and strong. I barely touched the salad bar but everyone was raving about the rice and beans. The servers (extremely attentive and friendly) started with the sausage, pork, and chicken and gradually worked their way to the lamb and beef. I tried to sample a little of everything. Needless to say, I didn't make it to the end. Unfortunately, I had to refuse some of the meats at the end of our meal but I could not resist the grilled pineapple. I am proud to say I tried the Brazilian delicacy...chicken hearts. It's not for me but everyone is different. You really can't go wrong with the price and an endless supply of deliciously prepared meat!

Okay, ever since my first trip to Rios I have been a fan. However, my last trip was different. First they should not call the salad bar a buffet. It's misleading. Second there were three of us one child and two adults. And they automatically added 18% tip to our bill while on the bottom they listed suggested tips of 15, 18, and 20%. I am usually an A+ tipper. But adding the tip directly to a 3 person check is too much. Love the meat love the bananas love the pineapple. But do e force me to tip 18% if you dont earn it.

I've been here many times and i have to say i've never been disappointed. I love the food and the service is excellent. I showed up on a busy night after only making a reservation on their app prior to our arrival and still they were able to sit us down in maybe 15 minutes. We really enjoyed eating there that night. Love the food and service was phenomenal.

Never having experienced a churrascaria before, this was a new experience. The service was excellent and the meat was phenomenal. There were at least two varieties of sausage, beef of all manner (steak, cubes, shish kabob), lamb, pork, chicken and turkey. When you asked for medium rare to rare, that is exactly what you got. The only thing that left room for improvement was the poultry (a little dry and chewy with little flavor)...the garlic beef, however was to die for. Others have commented that the salad bar was 'odd'....we disagree...eclectic, maybe, but it fit with the type of restaurant......there were brazilian soups, giardinaria, olive salads, and the complimentary lettuce, tomato and cuke to satisfy the most picky salad bar eater. The drinks did not skimp on the alcohol and one sufficed.......I cannot speak to the quality of the desserts because we, quite literally, did not have room for any. The staff was very attentive without being overbearing......the only service they did not provide was to take your round stuporous self out and roll you down the ramp to your vehicle. If you are looking for a MEAT COMA.....this is your place. But one caveat.......don't go if you are vegetarian.

First visit here last night. Great meal. If you haven't had rodizio before, Rios is not a bad place at all to get initiated. Rodizio is a Brazilian steak buffet. You fill your plate with everything but the meat at a central 'salad bar' and then waiters continually roam the room with huge skewers of meat, cutting off pieces for you. Typically there will be a variety of meats, and the better the restaurant, the more variety. Last night they were offering a few types of sausage, chicken, turkey wrapped in bacon, lamb with mint seasoning, and a whole bunch of various steak cuts-- some flavored with garlic, some wrapped in bacon, some just grilled. Lots and lots of meat. Rios was a fun place. We got stock at a table against the wall by the bar way in back, which was not ideal, would be better to be in the center of the room, so avoid that if you can. But waiters were attentive, and the guys with the meat skewers are VERY attentive, it seems like someone's at your shoulder trying to put more meat on your plate every few minutes. Get a drink from the bar before your meal, they make very good Caipirinhas here.

I went back in December for my 32nd birthday dinner! IT WAS INCREDIBLE! There were 14 meats available that night and it was only $21.95! (tax and tip not included, of course) I have been to Fugo de Chao in Philly, and I think the meats are comparable and just as great as Fugo de Chao! Now, the only difference, which is the salad bar/buffet. Fugo de Chao's was definitely classier, you had your whole wheel of fresh Parmesean cheese, crazy salad bar, etc. Rios had a simpler buffet, with great stuff, though! The rabbit stew (never had it before) was GREAT! There was beef stroganoff, lasagna, salads, rice, soup, yeah! I did not try that much of the buffet because I wanted more meat, and I was very happy with my decision! I wanted to try more, like the soup and the salads, but hey, you only so much room in your tummy! So, to compare the two restaurants, Fugo was definitely fancier in the buffet, but in my opinion, you don't go to a Brazilian bbq for the buffet, you go for the meats! So that's why I love Rios and think that it's great! I can get Parmesean cheese whenever I step into Wegmans, but I can't get all Rios's quality cuts of skirt steak, saugsage, chicken, pork, ... My favorites were the Turkey wrapped in Bacon and the Pork shoulder. SOOO good and flavorful and tender! ALSO, this is VERY important to me. My two sons have food allergies and when I asked the host (owner/manager) which food had egg/milk in it, she KNEW EVERY DISH! A lot of places we end up skipping because the owners are so clueless. My sons could have eaten every meat and most of the buffet, too! The staff was very friendly, came at good intervals, and I was never hungry. DEFINITELY try this restaurant! You won't regret it! I'll definitely be going back!... once I stop being full... ;)

Ok, if you are looking for a Fogo de Chao's or Texas de Brazil, this is NOT the place for you. Even so, I thought the food would be tasty. WRONG! The meat had a lack of flavor and tasted dry. Some meats tasted like liver and lacked the crunchy and flavorful outside crust that a Churrascaria should provide. It is said that chef's for the churrascaria's have to train 2 yrs before they can even cook there, I don't think that is the case here. I would not recommend. The buffet lacks a big variety, but tasted better than all the meat. On the upside the staff was one of the friendliest I've encountered, too bad the cuisine wasn't up to par.

Cute place, we had fun. We all ate way too much.

  • Saher K.

    (4)
  • Hazem F.

Excellent place if you like meat. My favorites are the beef kabobs and the assorted items wrapped in bacon. Staff at this place is always fantastic. New set-up on salad bar is improved but don't fill up on the salad bar. You will regret it if you do. Once the parade of meat is over and you think you can't eat anything else, get the grilled pineapple which is included with the meal. It is awesome. Who knew grilled pineapple could taste so good? And if you still have room for more, the flan is excellent. They also make a nice sangria.

It's a novelty. The "salad" bar was odd...strange choices. There should be more than just fries for a side dish with the meat selections. The pork sausage is more like kielbasa, not sausage. Overall, the price was TOO expensive for what you got. Would not go back.
