On 4/18/15 I hosted my best friends baby shower at Evviva (after major brain surgery). The ambiance was beautiful and the staff were all welcoming and professional. The problem came when I received the final bill totalling well over $1100 for 21 adult and one child at $35.00 per plate. At my initial meeting with the owner, he ensured me the the following: I would be charged only $35.00 per person /per plate... all food was made to order and fresh. We were also informed gratuity would be at our discretion. I had a total of 21 adult guests and one child. The bill should have only been $800+... (I already paid my $300 deposit, leaving me to pay $500+). The bill was (as I stated) grossly inflated totalling $1100+. At $35.00 per person / per plate, 22 people and no alcohol served the bill should NOT have been that high. On top of that, I was charged $250 gratuity. The owner stated he charged me for 34 or 35 people (not sure where that number came from). I just had major brain surgery, planned a shower (in pain), purchased gifts for those who helped me and ended up having over $400 taken from me! In my assessment, stolen from me. If I was charged for 30 + people, the extra food was not offered to us (not that we would have even wanted it) I loved the place and staff but will NEVER go back. The owner refused to refund the money until I got my attorney involved. It's only be a few days since the shower and i still habe not be reimbursed. If you go, pay close attention to your bill PLEASE (wealthy or not)!

Had a large party there and there are lots of spaces to reserve and there are many options of foods to serve and the food is good not great. But it takes a long time to cook all the foods and the servers are very slow and don't communicate well with each other.

My perfect wedding venue! My husband and I were married here on Sunday, July 28, 2013. We also had the night before/out of town guests' dinner at Aldar's Bistro. Both places the food, service was exceptional and customer service oriented. We plan to visit again soon to celebrate future occasions,

The only reason I give this venue 1 star is because of the owner. Food was great, beautiful place, staff was awesome... but George is NOT to be trusted. If you are holding an event here INSIST on a contract ... if not he will try to hit you with fees that were never discussed. We wanted to renew our vowels here, but because of his dishonesty he lost our business.

We used Eviva for our wedding three years ago and people are still talking about it! The location was perfect. We held the ceremony and the reception there and the staff was amazing in every way. I have a video of the wait staff avoiding drunken dancers as they cleared tables - and I never noticed them on the day. Everything went smoothly and was well worth the price. If you want to have your event at Eviva you better book early - George relies totally on word of mouth and books up quickly!

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful - we had our wedding there. Almost everyone I encountered was nice and for weeks after the wedding guests commented on how great the bartender was (it was a huge bill, by the way). All my guests had a good time even though we had a Sunday brunch wedding. Only 3 stars, however, because a) they did not accommodate us to have a rehearsal dinner b) it was impossible to get a hold of anyone via phone or email (I had to actually stop by every time I had a question or what have you), and c) after asking 3 times for them to deliver wedding cake to a specific table (for some reason they totally skipped that table) they didn't. We also felt rushed - the staff kept going to the DJ to make announcements (time for the dance, time for the cake, etc. even though that was OUR job!) - and I felt we were being kicked out to accommodate the next party. Not good. Overall, an ok experience if you are ok with not having the perfect event. Ours was not perfect but it was enjoyable, regardless of the huge bar bill and being rushed. The venue was just so beautiful to me during the spring time I just had to have it. However, I think it works best for smaller events.

Came here for a rehearsal dinner and enjoyed it. The party was held upstairs in a private room (there were about 40 people) and the staff handled it very well. We started with a cocktail hour and passed hors d'oeuvres and then were seated for a sit down dinner. The food was very good. The filet was cooked surprisingly well as was the salmon. I liked the ambiance of being in an old style house, yet it wasn't stuffy. It seems like a very popular place in the area for special occasion parties and for good reason.

I have to be honest about this one and I really hope I don't offend anyone. I wouldn't exactly describe the food as "delicious". I was at Evivva on Saturday afternoon with my family for a Bar Mitzvah. I couldn't believe how small the parking lot was, so just be grateful that they do offer Valet Parking. We were one of the lucky ones to get a spot. I do have to say that Evivva is very elegant and the appetizers were tasty - Chicken Satay, Mini Hot Dogs & Crab Cakes, Shrimp Tempura & Broschetta. There was only 1 Bartender to accommodate about 125 guests but then again only Soda and White Wine were served. The main course was disappointing. You start out with some lettuce and a tomato w/ a very bad Vinegarette Dressing. They throw on a couple of Cranberry's I guess to offset the vinegar taste. The choices were Talapia, Chicken Marsala & Filet Mignon all served with Risotto and Fresh Vegetables. I chose the Chicken and my husband, the Filet Mignon. I couldn't eat mine. The sauce had a very bad peppery taste to it and I did sample to Filet Mignon. Also a peppery taste. If you happen to eat there, definitely ask for the sauce on the side otherwise my guess is that you will be returning your dish like we did. I didn't care for the dessert at all. It was this checkered cake w/ mocha and chocolate on the outside. Don't even attempt to ask for more coffee/tea because you'll never get it, even after asking for it 2 times. The dance floor was so small, it was like they just removed 2 or 3 tables to make some room. I couldn't believe it. If you've ever been to a Jewish affair, you know you need a lot of room for the dances!! The regular dinner menu may be different if they even offer dinner (it may just be an affair type restaurant), but if you are going to attend an affair at Evivva, definitely eat beforehand or just hide a snack in your bag.

It's time for a little customer service training for the owner and a member of his staff. However, Joanna, is magnificient in problem solving and putting out fires.

Evviva is a very unique place. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is charming; and the owner, George, is extremely accommodating. The only downfall is that the parking lot is a bit tight. But once you are inside, the appetizers are delicious, the menu offers excellent choices and the dessert was tasty. Try it and you will not be disappointed.

This place is odd. For every positive there is at one corresponding negative. At first glance, I thought, "Oh, this place is nice" but as I explored the place (like a big 3 story old house with the owners living on the top floor, party rooms on the other 2 lower floors), it looked dated and in need of a good clean-out. This is NOT a restaurant. Inexpensive foods were used - tasted fine - but nothing to write home about. I have pasta primavera - penne in "red" sauce with a few green beans and carrot slivers on top. Salad had precisely ONE grape tomato and ONE slice of cucumber. (Could you spare it?) Tiny, tiny glass of diet coke. Not bad - and nice for a gathering if you need it due to location - but I would NEVER have a wedding here. Possibly a luncheon or "shower" but not something truly important. Service, too - odd. One waiter was smiling and friendly and attentive - the other cold and grumpy. You win some, you lose some. This place is decidedly middle-of-the-road.

We were there for a small wedding which was held upstairs. The parking is limited, as others have noted. We got the last available spot. I think there was someone on duty to help others park who arrived later, so perhaps it's not a big problem. There were appetizers before the ceremony and dinner afterward. The appetizers were few and far between. I got exactly one shrimp, so I can't say much about the quality of the appetizers. And we weren't late or the last to arrive. Perhaps there was a miscalculation. The interior is decorated in a totally over the top manner, like a Hollywood version of a French brothel from the 1920s. Apparently the designers agreed with Mae West's dictum: "too much of a good thing...is wonderful." I wouldn't clasify it as tasteful or elegant, but it certainly was entertaining. The food served at dinner was excellent. The salads were very good. Both the filet mignon and the salmon were cooked to perfection. However, both were accompanied by the skimpiest portions of vegetables I have ever encounted in any restaurant. Each plate had exactly one and one half tiny finger potatoes, six tiny string beans, and a tiny sliver of what may have been zucchini. Unnecessarily stingy, I think, and it detracted from the elegance of the entrees. The wait staff was superb and I can't say enough to praise them. Each of the three young men who served us was the consummate professional, attentive, skilled, discreet, and able to navigate very tight spaces in a room that was a bit too small for the event.

When I first went to this location with my girlfriend to help book her wedding, the owner was very pleasant. After she decided to have her wedding here, the day of the wedding that same owner was nasty, rude and impatient. His staff was the same as he was(sometimes worse) with the exception of one lady. Although the food was delicious, I am big on customer service, especially when they are being paid for their services. I will NEVER go there again! Lastly, I learned that when My friend and her new husband went to pay the bill, the owner was dishonest....enough said.

For two years, I drove past Evviva, admiring the gorgeous gardens landscaping the beautiful restaurant. Then, while driving through Narberth my boyfriend and I decided to give it a taste. Upon entry, the decor sends you abroad. The walls have hints of lusterous gold and small roses etched on skylights-- from top to bottom, Evviva is detailed with thought, precision and beauty. During our meal, George, the proprieter engaged my boyfriend and I in conversation. He is an interesting and notably successful man with true passion for nuturing Evviva cuisine with the flavors of the earth. With a background in engineering, George has mastered the art of fusing flavor and beauty. Moving to our meal, we ordered the escargot to start--unbelievably fresh and incredible preparation. The escargot was in a beurre blanc sauce, sandwhiched lightly between feuillete sheets. For the main course, my boyfriend ordered the Filet Mignon and I the Halibut- both succulently prepared accompanied by local treats fresh from George's garden behind Evivva. Following that experience, we also headed there post residency graduation, and once there again, and it was flawless. I am sure there will many dinners to come again at Evivva!
