We came to Seven Stones to hear to hear the talented Irene Molloy . The atmosphere is great, casual, family friendly, and fun.

Great hip place for coffee and sandwiches in down town Media. Prices very reasonable if you "order well"... And food is fresh and delicious. Omnivores to vegans have choices here. My toddler grandson likes to explore the brick paved courtyard here after he finishes his lunch with the family. Am here every other month and always leave happy and sated. Thx, Seven Stones! Enjoy-

One of the cutest coffee places ever. It reminds me of a place I discovered on Anna Maria Island in Florida (which I absolutely adored). I came in specifically for a mocha and was happy to discover that they serve La Colombe coffee. My mocha was fantastic, but not quite as hot as I would like. That's my only complaint. The baked goods looked great and it took all of my willpower to not order one of every flavor of the macarons. There's lots of outside seating that I'm definitely going to be utilizing on the upcoming nice days.

I kept meaning to review this place but kept forgetting. Super cute cafe with delicious and healthy food and great helpful staff. I kept finding stuff I wanted to get/eat. I left stuffed and with other goodies in tow. Yummy.

First review of many visits Owner run and operated sandwich, breakfast, lattes, coffee-( la columbe) establishment. Very cute interior in which to relax with friends over coffee and food. Dine alfresco in good weather. Today's meal was a Lox sandwich with pumpkin latte.I am a huge fan of traditional lox and bagel but Seven Stones version blew me away. Served open faced so you have 2 sides to eat. I liked how they chopped the tomatoes and seasoned it with a unique blend of spices accompanied by sliced red onion, basil strips, cream cheese. All of the sandwiches Ive eaten here have been similarly prepared- with a unique flair. Big fan.

What a cute little place. A friend and I came in here for breakfast last week and I was pleasantly surprised. There is a wide selection of baked goods in the case by the register when you walk in, and there are lots of coffee and tea options as well. Their breakfast was vast when you consider the size of the place. My friend got the quiche with a side salad and I got a lox bagel. You order at the register and then when you find a place to sit a staff member brings your food to you. The food was alright, nothing spectacular, but it hit the breakfast spot. The ambiance was cute and casual, and it was nice to just sit and chat for a little while. As other reviewers have said, they have a large outdoor seating area as well, so that's something to check out in the nicer months. Good spot!

The menu isn't written very well. the handwriting is difficult to read. the last time I went the manager yelled at me for taking the wrong sandwich. Well that's the sandwich your staff gave me. She was so pretentious and rude.

We stopped in for lunch and that will be the last time for these regulars. I accidentally picked up the wrong drinks at the end of the counter in my frantic attempt to get to my seat and get out of the way. We ordered iced black tea, but I grabbed iced black coffee off the counter instead. I didn't realize until I took a sip. I went back, apologized and grabbed our drinks off the counter. The manager, Natalie, made me feel horrible mumbling and complaining about me to her staff right in front of me. I was mortified. Then we sat down to enjoy our lunch and she sent someone over tell me we had to pay for the iced coffee because we took a sip. I was floored and asked if they were serious. I went to speak to the manager, Natalie, about her request. She scolded me like a child in front of a store full of customers. Then she educated me informing me that iced coffee does not look anything like iced black tea and said forget it I guess we will just "take the hit". Really take the hit on two iced coffees? I paid $40 for a few sandwiches and 2 iced teas. I think I already took the hit, not to mention I'm in your establishment 3-4 times a week. What a horrible way to treat a regular customer. Say goodbye to this regular customer. I'll be sure to tell my friends, family and co-workers how you treat your customers. Maybe you guys should think about a less hectic work and customer flow and things like this wouldn't happen. Anyone looking to eat or drink here should not go at peak times because you'll be in the same chaos and you might get yelled at too. They clearly can't handle the volume with their workflow. Decent food and drinks, but poor management.

Best made to order bagel breakfast sandwiches anywhere, and when combined with Colombe coffee, it doesn't get much better! The Power Egg (egg whites with sauteed fresh baby spinach and diced tomatoes on a perfectly chewy multigrain bagel) is my favorite. The lox bagel is also terrific, with generous cream cheese, lox, tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion and basil. This is one of Media's gems!

Had some time recently to just sit here and enjoy breakfast. I love the outdoor patio. Good setup they have there. Quality of the food is decent. I've had better breakfast sandwiches as the eggs here seemed microwaved. You can't beat what they're serving just around the corner here, and that's a shame. But it was good enough for me to devour. The coffee is excellent, and the apple cake I sampled is close to addictive. So that made me a fan.

fantastic coffee & live entertainment make this the best coffee house in suburban philly! the Dollar Bill Band was playing our night--authentic bluegrass & no cover charge. a real live sixties style coffee house.

Stopped in here for a cappuccino with a friend. It's probably the best cappuccino in DelCo - with perfect foam and thank goodness it didn't taste like a latte. I cannot speak to the food as we only stopped in for coffee. Desserts looked good but they are Le Bus products not in house confections. The dining room could use more attention. Tables needed cleaning as people appear to have to bus their own tables. Service was fine albeit a bit slow. I'm sure this place is much more appealing in the summer when you can sit outside.

This place is everything a coffee shop/cafe should be. its a nice calm setting off State St in downtown Media. Great selection of soups that rotate daily. Featured sandwiches, wraps, paninis and salads. I had the mixed greens w/ spinach salad and added Chicken salad, onions and roasted peppers. Homemade and delicious! Great fresh produce! My wife had the soup and salad combo - great chicken and sausage soup and she added egg salad - another winner! Topped it off with a Boyelan's creamy Red Birch beer, nice cheery staff and plenty of friendly customers. One thing - its cold in here when its cold outside. Warmer weather allows you to dine under a nice pergola on the brick patio with the sounds of a trickling fountain! Enjoy!

My oldest daughter is smitten with this place, so we stopped in for a quick lunch a few days ago... It is indeed a cute little place with nice art/decor and I could tell by the crowd that it was quite popular. However, I wasn't overly impressed with the offerings on the menu but I guess it just isn't my type of food... I had the sweet and savory sandwich which was okay, and my younger daughter had one of the specials but complained that she had a hard time biting into the bread. And it was a bit pricey in my opinion... $35 for two sandwiches with chips, a hummus platter, a latte and two bottled drinks was just not worth it for me. Anyway, we thought it was just so-so. I would go there again if my daughter wants to, but it would really only be to please her. Note: this review is coming from a "non-hipster" - if you're a hipster, by all means, go for it!

No free wifi. No wifi at all! Very disappointing for a coffee shop.

I've been here often and never been disappointed. Great coffee, great food and the service is friendly enough.

  • Jessica Y.

Neighborhood friendly coffee shop with light breakfast items I learned what a "red eye" coffee was and it was delicious as was the Medi Bagel Sandwich - Egg w/spinach, roasted red peppers & feta cheese served on your choice of bagel. There was enough sandwich for 2 people. We enjoyed it so much the first morning that we went back the next morning! Seven Stones is busy yet relaxing and cozy with cheerful baristas and fresh food/coffee.

This is what a great coffee shop should be. Delicious good food, charming exterior outdoor seating area. I love how they add an extra shot of expresso to ice coffee to give it some fortitude with all that ice. That's impressive.

Seven Stones is a great little coffee shop in Media. To find it, go to Deal's hardware and to the left of the building you will find the former Plum Street a walkway to several shops. The coffee is fresh and hot, bagels are terrific the food menu is different each time I visited there. There are a few tables outside. It is definitely a trendy/hip/funky atmosphere without being pretentious. Great for breakfast or lunch - try one of their "breakfast sammies". Haven't been there for dinner. Their website describes their menus as follows: Open face Melts, Hot and cold sandwiches, wraps, salads, delicious homemade quiche, hearty flavorful soups, and sandwich specials created daily.

We are frequent flyers to Seven Stones -- This is one of those coffee shops that actually has unique and really high quality food. For example, when you order a salad, you'll get little random bites of fresh basil! How many salads put fresh herbs in their salads? The soups change frequently and are lovely and unique and there are plenty of vegetarian options, much more than offered at many other places. Their multi-grain bagel is this powerhouse of whole grains yet somehow soft and chewy. Coffees are awesome too. If you order a dry capp, you actually get a DRY capp, which again, not many places succeed at doing this. My only gripe is the seating! The seats are super old and uncomfortable, the temperature is quite drafty and cold in the winter. I'm not sure if they do this to encourage turnover because I'm sure if it were any more comfortable, people would pack a bag and camp there. Also just a forewarning: No free wifi here. I think again to encourage some sort of turnover in their otherwise small dining area.

This is an adorable little place. It's so warm and cozy. My inly problem is that I wish they had food for everyone. Some of the things on their menu is way too organic and nature like. But otherwise it's a good place.

  • Annamarie T.

This place is as eclectic as it is delicious. Have been many times and am never disappointed. The homemade desserts are always seasonal and out of this world. All of the sandwich combinations we tried were loved

Yummy. First time here. Everything that comes out of the kitchen look scrumptious! Went for coffee ended up getting the Santa Fe. Yummy!

Good food, very filling and a nice selection. I wish the service was a little better/more friendly, that's all that prevented my five stars!

  • Lauren O.

This is what a coffee shop should be. Seven Stones offers FAIR TRADE (means it is produced ethically and sustainably) coffee and chocolate and the baristas actually know how to make espresso drinks. Ditch Starbucks and go to a real coffee shop.

    (5)
  • Julie J.

Five stars for Seven Stones! This place is so lovely. My go-to beverage is the Harmony Latte- a coffee and chai tea latte with honey, vanilla, and cinnamon. It tastes like a perfectly toasted marshmallow. I always get my coffee to go but the dining area is very quaint. The food, especially the baked goods look delicious, although I have not yet tried anything edible.

I love their desserts. They're really good. Pretty cozy inside. We always go there every weekend : )

  • Tracy B.

Cappuccino served in a heavy mug with foam-y foam. Not a real cap. Almond coissant was good though. Not the typical one at most philly coffee shops where they slit the thing and put the almond paste in and then cover it.

Decided to try this place out based on reviews. Reminded me of some of the cafes I've been to in Portland. Got a Lox bagel, hubby got a tuna melt. Service was a little slow, food was decent, but what turned me off more than anything was how loud it was inside. It was maybe half full and I honestly could not hear most of what my husband was saying. We had a silent breakfast because it took too much effort to yell over the noise. Not a place to catch up with anyone or have a good conversation if you are sitting inside. $21 for two bagels and coffee/OJ is steep so this won't be a regular spot. Maybe we will return when the weather is nicer to take advantage of all the outdoor seating everyone raves about...

Great LaColombe coffee but it gets crowded and isn't always very fast. Always friendly service.

    (4)
  • Heather W.

Good food, amazing drinks and friendly staff however the service is painfully slow and unorganized each time I've visited. On one occasion we waited over 45 minutes for 2 breakfast sandwiches (for takeout) and they ended up bringing it out to another customer who was eating in.

  • Karen F.

7 Stones is the perfect blend of hippie and hipster. Iced La Colombe Coffee, Sandwiches, Salads and a friendly (cute) young barista. A lovely place for a REAL cuppa.

  • Tina D.

There are not enough good things to say about this place. Vegan and vegetarian options, healthy options, fresh ingredients, coffee, tea, gelato, smoothies, fruit blends (fruit blended up like a smoothie, but that's all that's in it! Soooo good), music on Friday and/or Saturday nights, fantastic service, outside seating, I could go on and on. This is hands-down my favorite place to grab breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or dessert in Media. Sometimes the food takes a little longer, but it is totally worth the wait. They have standard menu items, but they also get creative and have a special menu on top of the drink fridge. They recycle, too! No disposable plastic forks or plates or styrofoam. They also have cups of water (for free -- how thoughtful!) if you just want water with your meal. They also have local art for sale on the walls. Give it a try if you haven't already.

Totally recommend the lox bagel with the pumpernickel onion bagel! AWESOME. There are no capers on it either which is a huge plus for me!

Was looking for a place in Media with good coffee and thankfully found this place. It's tucked away in a pedestrian walkway. They have a large selection of drinks, food, and desserts. The baristas are friendly and overall the cafe had a relaxed feel. Had the red eye with a bit of irish cream. They use la columbe roasts! Very rich in flavor and aroma. Had someone comment on how good the coffee smelled. Tried their blondie dessert which while on the crumbly side was very good.

Best piece of chocolate cake I've ever had. Points for not being annoyed when I walked in at closing.

    (5)
  • Hank B.

I love the variety and just the quality of all the food and drink. I would especially recommend their breakfast sandwiches/bagels, salads, and paninis. My vegetarian friend has also always loved their vegan lunch options. The pricing is also pretty decent. The staff is always friendly and cordial, and all in all, it's just a great cafe!

    (5)
  • Patrick D.

They actually close at 10pm on Saturday.

    (4)
  • Mandy H.

This place is your standard earthy-crunchy coffee joint, and they're great at what they do. You can get really yummy lattes and baked goods, as well as breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Service can be a little slow as all the coffees are made to order from usually one person (they work space is pretty small), so sometimes you might have to wait a bit for your coffee and croissant. But on a nice day you can sit outside and relax while you wait.

    (4)
  • Ian S.

I've catered from them and I go here for lunches. The food is always fresh amazing and vegan or vegetarian friendly. The daily specials and paninis are wonderful

    (5)
  • Ash D.

I love visiting this place. I do so everyday and order my fav Moca. Its true they don't have wifi but that's not a big deal. I love the classic breakfast sandwich with turkey and cheddar. The folks who work there are cool and friendly. Sometimes the consistency is different. so less 1 star but otherwise perfect place.

  • Shannon S.

Love this place! I always make it a point to stop here when I'm in or near Media. Staff is friendly, fast, helpful and efficient. Great atmosphere, great coffee (la colombe), and yummy treats! I've never been disappointed with food, sandwiches, soup, salad or sweets. Go here!

One day, something in Media will disappoint me. Today is not the day. This is a great little coffee shop cafe in between two streets. If you're driving, it's definitely going to be tough to find because the storefront isn't visible from the street. There's a very nice area to sit out in front and there's indoor seating as well. Everyone is very friendly. Food and coffee offerings are varied, but small enough that you can tell everything is made in-house and done well. I ordered a blended coffee drink, which was less of the shake I was expecting and more of a granita, but still good. Lox was amazing. I don't think I'd go here for dinner, but it would be great as a self-serve brunch place, or a cafe/coffee shop at any time.

  • RJ B.

Love this place for my coffee. they are always pleasent. this is another gem of a find in Media.

    (5)
  • Marissa S.

This is such a cute little place to grab a coffee or a muffin... but it's always SO crowded when I go there. I don't expect to get a place to sit when I go in there. Also, some things are wayyyyyy overpriced. I got a piece of a chocolate cake for 4$, it was small.. but I was hoping the taste would be worth the 4$ (quality over quantity, right?) And I wasn't too impressed. The gelato is very yummy.

  • Christina V.

Awesome little place hidden away in Media. Great brunch item selections on the weekend!!!

    (4)
  • John L.

I absolutely love this place, and still confused why it took me so long to write a review for this place. Perhaps its hard to describe how quaint, cozie, and charming this place is. I love how their kitchen is in a room with surround windows for all to showcase the clean, skill, and amazing way they make their pastries. Seven Stones also has La Colombe coffee, and a wide reach selection of drinks that surpasses what one would expect for a small cafe tucked away in the back alley of Media. Seven Stones is an experience that should be done during a hot summer morning or night, and enjoyed for all the greatness it offers.

A few weeks ago we stumbled upon this gem tucked off of state Street and ordered a few speciality coffee drinks. They were so amazing good and fairly priced that I may never return to Starbucks again. The sandwiches, some of which are tailored for vegans, all sounded amazing. They have La Columbe for purchase and will grind it for you as well. The delicious sweets were hard to turn down, but looked oh so tempting. If you're ever in Media, this is a can't miss. There's a nice little area inside to sit and plenty of tables outside in nice weather.

    (5)
  • Bre G.

My favorite coffee shop in Media. take the $$ you would spend at starbucks and support this local small business! They serve La Colombe (the best) and their sandwiches are delish, my personal favorite is the sweet and savory. FYI: This place gets busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait in line (trust me it's worth it). The staff is also very welcoming and warm!

    (4)
  • Louis B.

I love this place. Great food; and with more outside seating and also being puppy friendly, it rocks. Good liberal music playing inside and outside, plenty of organic selections including fair-traded items and Huachioli chocolate. Awesome place for day meals. Add free Wi-Fi and it would richly command five stars.

    (4)
  • Stina C.

I love a good coffee shop. And this is as good as it's gonna get to the nice, cozy coffee shops that you'd find in the city. It's a cute little space with outdoor seating where you can bring your dog or watch other people's dogs. A great place to enjoy a nice coffee, but don't want to deal with the franchise-y-ness of Starbucks. Also, they have La Colombe coffee. Another reason to grab a coffee here!

    (4)
  • Jenny L.

The thing that I really love about this place is the atmosphere. It's such a cute, funky and cozy little place... we love to visit after a dinner with friends or in the winter time on a snow day. Good homemade food- fresh sandwiches and good soups. Great for dates, a quick lunch or a pick-me-up on a work day. The servers are all very nice. The outside seating is nice if you have your dog with you.

  • Victoria L.

Being Vietnamese, Seven Stones cafe reminds me of home. A small coffee shop in an open alley, a first date kind of place. :) Yes, shower me with all the sweetness of tiramisu and warmness of a cappuccino. That will definitely make me feel like we have known each other from pass life.

    (4)
  • Aurora C.

Amazing "for real" hot chocolate. Highly recommend this place. Staff is great, atmosphere is warm and cozy, drink are delicious. Way better than anything you'd get at Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc.

    (5)
  • Maureen M.

I really want to like this place. It's cute, I love the atmosphere and the descriptions of everything makes the food sound so good, and I like that it's an independent cafe. Too often, though, I am disappointed. When I go, I'm often with 2 or 3 people, and at least half the number of times I've been there, one of the coffee orders is wrong (i.e., a vanilla latte with no vanilla, for example). That happened again today. Also the pastries and desserts often look wonderful, but upon trying them I find they are stale or have clearly seen better days. Today there were slices of chocolate chip cheesecake in the case that clearly had a hard/dried crust over the sides. Not good. Finally, the staff is not overly friendly. I will say, however, that the few times I've gotten a fresh sandwhich it was ok... but not a lot more than ok. I think it's time for me to find a new coffee place in Media.

    (2)
  • Rania E.

The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, and yet it is quite consistently busy! The food is tasty from bagels, Panini's and freshly baked items. Tried the apple pie, lime merengue, carrot cookie sandwich... all delicious. And outdoor seating in pedestrian alley nice for reading with one of their teas or coffees.

    (4)
  • Allan J.

Good.. Very quaint! Was still busy at 10 am.. Bagel in Lox Bagel breakfast was slightly burnt, but okay. And a little too much oregano maybe, but overall was good and a huge serving size! Espresso was good also with lots of crema, altho slightly bitter.. Had to tell barista to 'kill it' earlier than he was going to.. Hate that. When will American baristas learn that less is more...?! But overall, a very nice little cafe with a great menu and good food.

  • Jessica K.

I love seven stones, they might be a tad bit expensive but I much rather go here than any Starbucks I've ever been too. The coffee is good, the bagels are wonderful and the employees are always very friendly!

I saw this spot reviewed positively and decided to have brunch with an old friend in town during the holidays. I ordered an egg white omelette with spinach and feta. It came on a bed of salad however, most of the greens were slimy old and disgusting and the omelette had RED CHILI FLAKES mixed in and I'm severely allergic. In my whole life, I have never heard of any reputable restaurant mixing chilies into an egg white omelette! Thank goodness I brought an emergency antihistamine along in my wallet. Who wants to go to the ER? When I called this to the managers attention; btw her jeans were so low I got to see way too much of her backside (think plumber crack) while she bent over after dropping a bunch of flatware on the floor and just picked them up to replace them back in their container(gross), she tells me that on the menu, "we cook with spices" however, I DID NOT order from the menu- I ordered something specific, i.e an egg white spinach and feta omelette. Her apology was fake she tried to pin the blame on me, again with an order that specific, why would there be a need for clarification?... and she did not comp our meal or consider my message about allergies and order clarity. My stomach as I write this now, is turning with disgust. Ewwwwww... Before you judge this review negatively- understand that first: that in the history of egg white omelettes, there are NO CHILI FLAKE present, so after ordering, one should expect not to have shellfish, treenuts, peanuts, chilies, soy, wheat or any other allergens in their dish. 2) They were rude and gross and completely unempathetic. Bottom line: go someplace else please!!!! Total disappointment

    (1)
  • Ae A.

Love their coffees and am never disappointed by them. I got a breakfast sandwich once that was just okay. Not bad or lacking flavor, it just wasn't my favorite. It won't stop me from coming back though. If they would get wifi I'd plop myself down in the back corner and get all my work done there every weekend. I'd also be significantly poorer, so maybe that isn't a bad thing ;) Although, Seven Stones, if you had some matcha green tea drinks on your menu I'd never have to visit Starbucks ever again! Please consider adding some to the menu!

    (4)
  • Jessica W.

A friend told me about Seven Stones and I was amazed I had never been there before. It's hidden in the back of State Street but is a nice place to stop for coffee or a light breakfast...has a very creative menu and occasionally you can hear some live music in the courtyard. That's a nice touch you won't find at Starbucks!

    (4)
  • Patty M.

Classic bagel sandwich and fruit smoothie are delicious!

  • Ben D.

I had a good tuna melt here one afternoon with my mom. It's kinda your typical Media Hipster type place with Panini's and different sandwiches, bagels and desserts. My mom raves about their coffee drinks although I can't really comment. My sandwich was nothing to rave about but it was tasty and not extremely overpriced. And what cafe would be complete without overpriced framed photo's on the wall of a sunset through the trees or how about the old classic, someone's feet, shot from above as they stand in some leaves. lol, cut me a break.

  • Jes L.

The existence of this coffee shop was what made me ok with leaving the city and moving to the suburbs. I know that sounds silly, but places like Seven Stones are my favorite perk of urban living that I was extremely reticent to give up. The coffee is top notch and I've never had anything I didn't like off the food menu. It's family friendly without being obnoxiously so. The baked goods? Awesome. If I were to pick two gripes to show I'm objective: 1) People sit in the outside seating area and smoke. I'm surprised this is still legal, but that's not Seven Stones' fault. I do wish they'd be a bit more progressive though and encourage smokers to get up from their tables and smoke down by the fountain or something. 2) I wish they served yogurt other than that highly processed, fat free Dannon swill. I'd love some Pequea Valley Yogurt or even Stonyfield. I'm willing to pay an illogical amount of money for higher quality packaged products at spots like this!

  • Kerry C.

Went here for the first time yesterday and loved it! Great atmosphere. I could hang out for hours here. I got a red tea latte - like nothing I've had before, so delicious! They had so many drink and food options. can't wait to go back.

  • Jazmin I.

I don't go to Media often, but when I do, I caffeinate and devour flourless chocolate cake at Seven Stones. I love that they offer several gluten-free options for those of us who have to avoid it. They also make great beverages of the hot and cold variety. And I also love that they take cards for purchases of $5+.

  • Vanessa B.

Great little coffee shop. Coffee is always fresh. Food is always flavorful. The staff is super friendly and patient - even with smaller children. I was in just the other day and noticed some staff members knew the names of the children! That was a nice touch. They took time to say hello even though they were very busy. Great place to sit outside and enjoy town. (Right next to the fountain and the chess tables!) All it's missing is free Wi-Fi. But perhaps that's not a bad thing. Sometimes it's nice just to sit back, relax and meet new friends!

  • Virginia D.

this is where the hipsters & ex-hippies come to hang out. good coffee. pretty extensive menu-- with a decent selection of vegan options (although if they want a 5th star from me, they are gonna have to stock some vegan baked goods!). space is totally groovy, almost grungy (but not in a dirty way).

  • Sarah K.

I love little joints like this- it's off the road, they serve good coffee and breakfast sammies and have a little seating nook in the side of the restaurant. I had an everything bagel with egg and cheese and a large coffee- it was a littttttle but pricey for breakfast but so is Starbucks- and I'm happy to support a local place when I can!

I love this little place. Great for lunch or breakfast and very chill to sit outside and people watch. Media has some great people watching! I'm a vegetarian, so I'm not always impressed with little shops. They tend not to have much I chose from. This is not the case with Seven Stones. There's something for everyone at reasonable prices. Love, love, love.

This is a super place to catch breakfast on the weekends. The service is not super-fast (perhaps it is during the week, I've never visited on a weekday), but they take care with their food and make an excellent nosh. Good coffee beverages and reasonable prices.

My husband and I stumbled upon this place after searching for another store in Media. I am obsessed. Seven Stones is amazing and so relaxing. Very reminiscent of one of our favorite places when we lived in West Chester called Fennarios (minus the smoke). I had lox and light cream cheese over a whole wheat bagel and a black coffee. My husband had a chai latte with espresso and an everything bagel. We were served immediately and able to enjoy our food at a table under tons of amazing local art. We will be back often to sit outside and eat when the weather get's better. I am so grateful that we found this place! The service, atmosphere, and food were extraordinary!

I don't like sandwiches very much. I don't like breakfast very much. I don't like eggs very much. I love Seven Stones and the Medi Egg bagel sandwich deal. It is red pepper, spinach, scrambled egg, and tastes super yummy on a multigrain bagel. Really good bagels, btw. They have a lot of yummy drinks - my favorite is the Harmony Latte which is chai with a bit of vanilla and espresso. A little expensive, but really yummy so worth it. During busy times the counter area can get a bit crowded, but there is a really sweet dining area with local art and a nice bit of outdoor seating.

Great place...looks like a hole-in-the-wall run by hippies, and... well... it sorta is. Coffee was great, wraps were fresh, and the outside seating on a nice warm spring day was awesome. I wanted to work there, but didn't have the requisite tattoo.

Still my kids' favorite gelato/sorbet stop in town. I've been in about 6 times for sorbet and a bagel sandwich (fair). Service was a little snooty "We'll be closing soon and the kitchen is already closed...." (we were there 10" before closing). :( Not fair. I came all the way herre to eat al ate lunch (I'm starving!) and your kitchen is closed?

If I'm going to finally start reviewing places around my new home, I may as well start with Seven Stones. I'm obsessed with this place. I have to make a stop here every time I'm in Media (sometimes two stops, one when I arrive and one before I leave), and I'm in Media a LOT. Their pastries and desserts are scrum-diddly-umptious. I've never had one that disappointed. If I can't decide, the green tea cupcake usually wins. It's genius. AND their iced tea is fabulous, too. I am picky about my iced tea so you can take my word for it. I've had an espresso drink here once, also, and I thought it was yum. But I don't drink a lot of coffee, so you'll have to judge that one for yourself. Last but not least, it's a neat place to hang out. I love all the artwork and the eclectic decor. It has a thrown-together look that's very charming. I heart Seven Stones.

We LOVE this place. Excellent food, good portions, LaColombe coffee (love), friendly staff and great atmosphere. Starbucks has nothing on this place!

Seven Stones is an awesome little coffee shop with a surprisingly large food menu, including sandwiches, quiche, gelato, bagels, and an eye-popping assortment of baked goods. There are multiple vegetarian selections (though not many vegan options) and the food strikes a good balance between organic/crunchy and over-the-top/decadent (it took all of my willpower not to order a slice of creme brulee cake or a red velvet cupcake). The coffee is La Colombe, the cafe is filled with work by local artists and a bit of fair trade propaganda, the hours are good (open until at least 9pm Tues-Sat), the staff is really nice...essentially, it's pretty much the ideal small town coffeehouse. I wish they would open a second cafe in West Chester because we could really use something like this to compete with Starbucks and Cosi.

Good sized menu with none of that grande venti barista nonsense. Here you pay for quality, not to be seen sipping. Lots of good food ranging from small snacks to something that's enough to make a reasonable meal. Huge muffins. Nice little place tucked back off the street so like someone else mentioned use Deal's as a landmark.

Perfect little coffee and light fare shop. And it's hopping on the weekends in good weather in Media, when there's a band outside and people hanging out on the courtyard. They have a nice selection of gelato and sorbet, various coffees, teas, etc. It hits the spot. The ample outdoor seating is great - you end up going back in again and again for just one more thing...

Oh man, this place rocks! They serve La Colombe Coffee which is the best in the business, and their food was crazy amazing. They also had a solid selection of teas and cold drinks. My girl and I split their Sweet Corn Soup and a Tuna-Pesto Melt on a multi-grain bagel. (They use LeBus bread) It was prolly the best in each category I have ever tasted. This place by their food and drink alone sport a 5 star rating from me, but they get another 4.5 stars for ambiance. Everything you could want in a local cafe when you just wanna get out and be comfortable with a friend or a book. Minus a .5 star for having a lame music setup, (a boom-box angled just right for music projection) but it might add to the stigma for some. Price was right up my alley. Under $20 bucks for the food and two large coffees which is a steal. All-in-all, with the wood floors, friendly service, great artwork, and choice eats this ranks as my #1 cafe destination outside of any metropolitan area. *Wi-Fi: There was a free connection there, but as a tech guy, I would of wanted to see something more solid to protect the patrons. It was an configured 'NETGEAR' connection that yielded good speeds and was reliable. But I don't know if it was even theirs or a next door neighbors. (This place makes me want to move to Media)

Great Atmosphere! Great bagels including an amazing cinnamon raisin. If your visiting Philadelphia or Media PA. This is a must stop for breakfast.

this is a cute little hippie cafe that sells coffee, tea, snacks, and some hot sandwiches. it's quite colorful. they have a variety of flavored lattes, which i enjoy, although the ones i wanted weren't available that day. and the plain old coffee they had tasted terrible, like ashtray! but i guess some people might like that! but our bagel sandwich was not bad. it's a nice place to stop if you're hanging around media's main strip in the mornings.

Seven Stone Is an amazing little place. They have great coffee and fair trade teas. They have lots of pastries, muffins, and bagel sandwiches, but none of them are gluten free. Still, a great place to grab a coffee/tea and take in the scenery. My favorite coffee is the Irish Escape. :)

I enjoyed Seven Stones Cafe very much until last spring. What turned me off had nothing to do with bad food or a rude waitress. My mother, sister and I take part in The Great American Bake Sale every year. We throw our own little bake sale in Media to help raise money for the charity. On the day of our sale in April 2011 we had set up our tables and business was good. Then an older gentleman and young lady approached us and asked to see out permit. My sister showed it to them and started to explain what we were raising money for. Before she could finish the man cut her off by saying that he could not believe that the borough of Media would allow for us to sell baked good between two bakeries. They then asked us when we would be done and briefly complained to each other that we were taking business away from them. My sister and I were upset but held our tongues because we are not ones to start an argument with a stranger. We later found out that the two who approached us and complained that we were taking business away from them were the owners of Seven Stones. I could not believe that a place that seems so community involved would be upset about us selling cookies to raise money to end child hood hunger. This experience just put a bad taste in my mouth. It is sad that this place that seemed so cool and community conscience would be owned by such greedy people.

This small cafe/ coffee house just floored my lovely wife and I when we first visited. As children of the late 60's we felt as thought we were transported back to the past. The art work on the walls, the beaded curtains and especially the Janis Joplin on the sound system. Then the food! Sandwiches made with whole grain breads and wholesome and inventive ingredients, homemade soups and baked goods rounded out the Age of Aquarius feel. Service was friendly and the food wonderful. The coffee was La Columbe coffee which just happens to be my favorite. Be aware that this place may be a little hard to find. It is just off State Street in Media on a little closed off street next to the store "Deals". Take the trouble to find it, you'll like it.

I don't know about any of the food, but it's the only place in Delco I know of to get La Colombe, so it gets my vote.

My husband and I absolutely love Seven Stones. We go there every weekend for breakfast. They serve our favorite coffee, La Colombe. The waitstaff are great. Since we are regulars they usually remember what we like which we enjoy. Love their veggie cream cheese. When my husband can't decide what to eat he just asks Natalie to fix something for him and its always delicious. Great to go after dinner as well for coffee and dessert. They have the best chocolate cake and apple crumb cake. Perfect little coffee shop.
