We tried several menu items the other night, and were pretty pleased. Itemized reviews in descending order of satisfaction: HOAGIE VERY tasty hoagies. Got one the first time we visited, and had to go back a few days later for another. I am pretty picky about hoagies. Our favorite hoagies of all-time/anywhere are LaSpada's in Parkside, PA, which is about 7mins from Media, but for a very close second, Tiny's makes a very good hoagie. I rate them below LaSpada's because for $7 LaSpada's gives you twice the volume of food that Tiny's gives you for the same price. But for the convenience of a closer place, they still create a good taste and fresh ingredients, so they are definitely somewhere I'd return for a hoagie, and they get 4 stars for that. SALAD The large salad is a HUGE salad. My husband and I split it as a side. For ~$6 we got at least a full head of iceberg, a full small tomato, a handful of seedless Kalamata olives, and an s-load of Feta (basically a full package of the size they carry at Trader Joe's), plus a full hard boiled egg and some cucumbers. Personally, I'd have preferred more cucumbers and didn't need the tomatoes, but value-wise, it was more than worth the money. We got their house oil + vinegar dressing, which was good. This was definitely a satisfying Greek salad. My favorite in the area is at Minella's Diner in Wayne, which is owned by a Greek family and their salad is fabulous, made with gourmet art as far as I am concerned. So Tiny's is not quite the best, but they do a very good job of satisfying the craving of the taste, and the value is amazing for what you get. FRIES Everyone has a different kind of fries they like, and these were on the money for us. They were the kind in between steak fry size and shoestring size. ( They were NOT that batter-dipped crap they sell at a lot of other places now, thank you Fry Gods.) Most of our fries were nice and crispy from the fryer (as I love them), and only needed a little salt for a very satisfying experience; I would not taint them with ketchup. MUCH better than the fries at nearby, Pinocchio's, but not as good as the fresh cut ones at Buddy's. BURGER Their burgers are definitely decent, and toppings were really fresh, plus kaiser rolls are a good pairing for a standard burger. I can't say it was a super-memorable burger, but the value of the burger/fry combo (listed under "platters" in their menu) is a lot of food for the money, and will definitely satisfy your burger cravings. CHEESESTEAK This was our least favorite. The cheesesteak just wasn't very flavorful in the meat department and there wasn't as much cheese or as many onions as we'd have liked. It also needed salt, which is actually probably a good thing because a lot of places salt the heck out of takeout to make it taste better and leave you dehydrated the next morning, like a hangover. So we wouldn't go back for cheesesteaks, but the other items were hits. * * * * * Re: The OLD Tiny's... Another reviewer mentioned the old Tiny-T's Hoagie shop (from back in the 80's), and I have to say it was right on the money! Palmolive bottle? HA HA HA HA! YES! So true! I was crying, I was laughing so hard! YES! The sandwich guy was missing fingers, and as a small girl going there with my dad to pick up 30 of the $1 hoagies, for a family reunion, he would be furiously cutting meat to get the order done (because my stupid family would order an hour before they needed them, on a SATURDAY, and give poor Tiny's no notice -- this happened repeatedly too), and as he raced to finish, I was so scared he'd lose another finger. I think I saw a Julia Child skit on SNL around that time (Dan Akroyd in drag is "The French Chef," and cuts his finger off, with blood everywhere), and I must've blended the idea of the skit with that guy at the meat slicer. I was so afraid for him, but I remember being afraid OF him, which I guess kids tend to do in projection. Anyway, I remember there was 70's faux wood paneling everywhere and probably that orange countertop, and I swear the deli counter was up on a stage because looking up at the guys making sandwiches seemed so high to me, maybe because I was so young? Anyway, a hilarious depiction from the other reviewer, and I testify it is ALL 100% TRUE!

Excellent hoagies and definitely a serious contender to the nearby Vinnies and Pinnochios. Their italian and roast beef hoagies were full, thick and flavorful (thats what she said), on a nice crusty roll with quality meats. Their standout hoagie is a Nigerian, which is roast beef, turkey and swiss. It was the best one I've ever had. That hoagie is getting harder and harder to find. Theres no sitting area inside at all or even picnic tables outside. They lose a half a point on that and a half a point on the creepy, unfriendly counter guys. The cashier was super nice, but both the delivery guy and the hoagie maker weirded me out.

Good size for the price, but Italian hoagie was a bit bland. Could use some oregano, and more flavorful salami. Also maybe add tables, or at least chairs for people who are waiting...

Main Line times named them best hoagie. The people are super nice. Service rocks. You get plenty of lunch meat ( Dietz and Watson - quality stuff). Fresh roll but I prefer a roll like the one you get over at Primos. I like Sharp Provolone. I like real hots. Price was right...I like a number of places better for the reasons I have listed.

Keep up the good work Maria! The pizzas look great! I could definitely use a "special" pizza with all the toppings to go with my beer and football tonight.

I was looking for a good sub shop and I read many reviews about this location. But honestly I was disappointed The Sandwich were fresh And tasted OK, But there was very little meat on the Hoagie. I ordered the Nigerian which was Ok but it just had a few slices of turkey and roast beef on it. The online ordering was simple and efficient. My sandwich was ready on arrival and made as ordered. But when I saw and ate the actual Sandwich I was left disappointed. I would overall rate them as just average.

Figured I'd stop by after seeing the great reviews. Got the Italian hoagie and the Corned Beef, both of which were handcrafted in mediocrity. The meats were average, with the only redeeming quality of being liberally applied. As for the hoagie roll, it could be described as one step above Subway. Staff was friendly, but overall the quality of the food was average.

Fantastic steaks and italian hoagies! Pizza isn't great, but who cares when they have such tasty sandwiches?

Oh to have the original awesome Tiny T's...the home of the dollar hoagie, where you would stand in line and watch the guy slice the meat for hoagies with a finger missing on both hands, squirting oil for the sandwiches from an old Palmolive bottle. Those days are long gone, but anyone in Media over the age of 35 can immediately conjure up the image...unfortunately Tiny T's Hoagie Shop has changed owners numerous times since then over 25 years ago, but that doesn't mean this place still doesn't make a great hoagie. The pizza? It's ok. I've heard wonderful things about it, but it's average to good at best. There are other places better in the borough. But the sandwiches are competently made, decently priced, a good size, and the sell Swiss Farms products. Good enough for me.

Tried the gyro, full of delicious sauce and fresh lettuce, tomato, and onions. Meat was tender, so delicious I just inhaled it.

We used to do Apollo's like so many others, but when we found New Tiny we were hooked. Friendly friendly wait staff, and they really hook you up with food!! I usually get the Greek salad with grilled chicken....oh my Greek salad!!! It's great, and can be split between like 3 people. We found a gem of a pizza too....wait for it......Greek pizza well done. You heard me. Now that I read Blake's review I am hankering for some veggie sandwich with sauce and cheese, wha whaat?

I think the food is awesome but the service sucks. We ordered breakfast from their on-line menu and the prices were wrong and when we went to pick up the food it was $7.00 more than what our order receipt stated. Instead of giving us the prices listed the owner was not pleasant and didn't even want to hear what we had to say. We are a business in Media that places large orders at lunch time from all of the shops in Media and have never had service like this. The owner actually told me to stop talking. It was obviously their mistake with misquoted prices, most manager would have given us the price on our on-line receipt, they just lost us as customers and probably over $50 a day in lunch orders. That's a shame when there are a dozen hoagie shops in Media to choose from.

i walked over to tiny's at lunch today with the intention of getting a greek salad as i often do. and by often, i mean about once a week. it's good stuff - HUGE and loaded with chunks of feta (no crumbles here!) as well as olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers and an entire hard boiled egg with a homemade oil & vinegar dressing. but i didn't order it today. nope. i was cold and in need of something warm. see, come summertime, i work in an igloo. in the winter, when i am properly dressed in warm layers, it's an oven in my office, yet in the summer months, my tank tops and sundresses, perfect for the warmth outside, are simply not enough to bear the frigid temps of the company-controlled AC. BRRRR!! tiny's soup du jour was not french onion (theirs is tasty) and i wasn't really feeling an egg & cheese sammie. so i asked maria, the friendly counter lady/owner, if i could get a grilled veggie sandwich which is not listed on their extensive menu. she smiled and said "of course!" then asked me if there were any veggies i didn't like (no) and if i wanted cheese & sauce (yes, please!). ten minutes later i came back to pick up my piping hot vegetable parmesan hoagie which, much like their greek salad, was HUGE and cost a mere $3.75! (the salad is more like $6) needless to say, i was already stoked based on appearance and price alone, and to top it off, it was delicious! seriously, my coworkers were all jealous as i sat nom-nom-nom-ing at my desk, the aroma of marinara wafting through the chilly air. the veggies were tender, the cheese plentiful & gooey...if anything, my only complaint was that the bread got a bit soggy, but eh, i've had worse and it's to be expected with so much sauce & cheese. once i was all finished, i called maria to tell her how much i loved my sandwich (i'm nice like that), and let her know to be expecting many more orders for these bad boys. as i said before, their menu is quite extensive (i suppose standard for a greek deli), even including pizza in both personal size as well as large pies. they have mostly meat offerings, but plenty of veggie eats to keep me happy, as well as sodas, juices, chips, desserts, the daily paper and cigs for those who are so inclined (not i). best of all, everything comes served with a smile :)

I used to love apollo pizza, but then I got sick of their greasy pizza. There is another delivery option and let me tell you, what a surprise! Their pizza is wonderful! Its apollo without the grease. The pizza crust is thick and yummy, very tasty! They have great gyros, fries, cheese steaks, greek salads. They don't take checks, but their prices are great! Have fun.

Very good pizza and super nice staff! We used to order from Apollo as well but the last few times the pizza tasted sweet and we didn't enjoy it nearly as much as we used to. We tried New Tiny and we were so (suprisingly) impressed with their pizza! And they deliver.

Well, it doesn't feel "New" And the hoagies are NOT "Tiny" But the 6 inch Chicken Cheese Steak I got was great - and the friendly young lad at the counter was personable AND good looking. I don;t eat hoagies often - but when I want one I'll be skipping Wawa and heading straight here! Plus they deliver (even out my way in the boonies) for $1.50 charge - $10 minimum. I will try the pizza soon and let you know... So far great for steaks/hoagies. Take out ONLY (not where to sit - not even a card table).
