I see this place everytime I see my P.O. but never stopped in mainly because bread to make you spread. But did so today. Glad I did. Ebony and Dan were very helpful. I told him I wanted something without meat so they suggested the village veggie wrap. It was great. They even added spinach and avocado for me and didn't charge me extra. The wrap was very good. And filling

These bagels suck. The ones my husband and I had today were very, very tough and chewy, and they were hardly toasted at all. I now get why the woman in front of us ordered her bagel "double toasted." I also got a bagel for the day after we went here (not knowing how terrible they were) and when I tried to cut into it, my serrated knife wouldn't go through. It was the hardest, most rock-like bagel I've ever had the great displeasure of handling. The bagel went straight into the trash can and I went to Acme to get a replacement. Honestly, I've had better bagels at Dunkin Donuts. I'll never return here.

I don't understand this place. It seems to change hands between management, ethnicities, and staff as often as daylight savings time switches on and off every year. This time, a totally new crew. Five people and one manager feverishly working and a mini-mob of customers in line. All the workers behind the counters, which meant no one monitored the coffee thermos, a few of which had no coffee. Call it to their attention and panic ensued. Once the coffee situation was adjusted, the place seemed to hum a bit better. Got what I wanted quickly and left. Eggs and ham on a toasted everything bagel, and one toasted whole wheat and double-cream cheese. Not bad. Just needs to get better. No outside seating per se, even though there's plenty of room outside for that. Overall: Meh...

Bagels good, coffee good. Counter girls and manager are rude. Counter girl hears the door open and asked what I wanted- back to me and continued fixing the eggs. I Asked for a bagel thin got the whole thing, ask for crispy bacon; it was far from crispy. Same counter girl looking the opposite way said "bacon" I was supposed to know that was my cue to pay.. I bought a bacon/egg/cheese not only bacon. I wonder if the two long blonde strands of hair were for free? I'll go back because it's convenient but would rather drive down Macdade boulevard to that manhattan they are so friendly!

This is a staple for us prob at least once a week. We live very close to this Manhatteny, as we call it, but in all honesty, I personally have only been in a couple times (my husb is the one that battles the morning frenzy to get there). I usually get the omelette wrap (bacon, egg, and cheese) and my husb gets an egg and cheese on a sesame bagel. We very much enjoy both, obviously, but I must admit we have both had inconsistent service. I enjoy his stories of random weirdo patrons, stressed cooks, and unwilling to help owners, but maybe that's part of the charm? I do have to say the few times I've gone in it's been pretty unremarkable, so maybe if I wish on a shooting star, I won't get the girl the other guy reviewed about. I have a sneaking suspicion she no longer works there, but we can only hope. Let's talk bagels....they're delicious and chewy...and I really enjoy their coffee as well.

I love the bagels and spreads here. Unfortunately, the staff really sucks. There's always the same issues every time I go in there. There's never any fresh coffee and everyone's kind of scatter brain and unsure of what they're doing (its bagels for christ's sake, it's not hard). But there is one older woman that I always see that really makes any experience there horrible. The whole time she's yelling at the employees in front of all the customers. I remember one time I went in there and a customer received the completely wrong order. He had left and then immediately came back and told the staff. The older woman started asking him "who took your order?" The man didn't really care, he just wanted the right food. A man (who I'm assuming is the owner) started asking too "who took your order!?" As if that was more important than just giving him the right food. They are more concerned with belittling their staff than serving the customers. Don't yell at employees in front of customers. It is really one of the biggest turn offs. Get a steady staff that knows what they're doing.

The Manhattan Bagel here reminded us of a gas station stop because of its small size and the way the coffee station was set up. The location is a bit out of the way to walk to because of high-traffic. I ordered a pumpernickel bagel with egg and cheese and my boyfriend got a bagel with veggie cream cheese (they gave him regular by accident). The bagels were only so-so (chewy, but not crunchy after being toasted--I like a little crunch) and I think that the staff was helpful even though there seemed to be some new people on and they were a bit nervous. The manager was jokey, and tried his best to be helpful while training the new girl. The orange juice (advertised as having a "fresh squeezed taste" rather than actually being "fresh squeezed" was suspect for $2.49 but otherwise fine). We probably won't head here again any time soon because the food wasn't better than an average Dunkin trip--but we thought we'd give it a chance.

Was in the neighborhood and it was early so I stopped in to bring a few bagels home. Service again started out slow. Unlike last time, the owner/manager put himself in there to get things moving. Unfortunately, this does not transfer to the employees. Product same as before.

I don't understand why it's so difficult to not put cheese on egg/meat sandwiches. This place gets it wrong almost every single time.

The only reason I went to Manhattan Bagel was because Custom Bagels was closed on Sunday. I will not be going back. Not only did it take forever to get our food, but it was really hot in there. After I paid for our food and went to get our order, the manager made me pay an extra 30 cents because I had told him my girlfriend ordered plain cream cheese when it was actually flavored. Really, dude? It was 30 freaking cents. He was also very accusatory about it. Lastly, his teeth were really nasty, and it grossed me out quite a bit. You need to cut out the chew, bro.

I don't understand all the negative reviews for Manhattan Bagel... I've been stopping in there for breakfast for years and have never had a problem with the service or the food... I've never witnessed anyone else having any problems either! I don't know... Maybe it helps being a regular customer?

Yelp wouldn't let me post this with zero stars. I wouldn't even give this place half a star. Every time we go here they mess up our order. Knowing this, we specifically divide 4 sandwiches between 2 people so we don't overwhelm the person taking our order since they never write it down. Today was the worst ordering and customer service experience I have encountered. I ordered a bagel toasted with cream cheese and an untoasted bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. My boyfriend then placed an order for 2 egg/bagel sandwiches. The person who took our orders (Reggie) didn't write it down and then asked us twice what type of bagels we wanted. After a good wait (Saturday mornings are a busy time there) he presented us with 4 sandwiches and said my order was flip flopped. I asked what he meant (the type of bagels were switched) and he offered to remake them. I watched him toast two bagels and reminded him that one was supposed to be untoasted. He tossed the sandwich out and made another. He brought two sandwiches over to is and only put one in our bag. I asked him why and he said fine I'll give you this one for free. I double checked the bag and all 4 sandwiches were egg/cheese/meat. Reggie got very frustrated and made the final bagel with cream cheese. At this point we asked to speak to a manager who was standing at the register. He looked at us and asked what the problem is. We told him the number of times Reggie messed up our order and Reggie interjected by saying our order was "too meticulous". We asked why no one working there wrote orders down and the guy responded that he personally never makes mistakes. When we asked for a refund Reggie walked away with our food. We told him we still want the sandwiches and he dropped the bag on the floor. The manager kept addressing other customers, ignoring us. He refused to give us a refund or even listen to what happened. The sandwiches and bagels they make aren't even that good and definitely not worth the half hour wait, mistakes, rudeness from staff and overall aggravation. I will take my and tell others to take their business elsewhere.

Been working in the area for the past year and just had a chance to try this place. I usually just go to custom bagels but they're closed for a few days hence the change. The bagel sandwiches are solid, and the jalapeno cream cheese is a must try. No complaints other then I can't walk here from work!
