Stopped here for a quick bite, been here several times before. There's nothing quick about it. Been waiting an hour for my sushi roll. Took 20 minutes to get my drink. I will not be coming back here again. I'm dining alone so I guess it's ok for them to ignore me ? Never had such awful service here when I'm with my hubby . They've also limited the all you can eat sushi choices and raised the price . Ugh!

Ate here because of a Groupon coupon. Thought it was worth a try. Here's the scoop. Ambiance - nice, unique, different Service - adequate, not spectacular Soup - decent Salad - good (daughter thought the ginger dressing was good) Sushi - We ordered a lot of food because we wanted to try a lot. We got the huge sushi/sashimi "platter" which arrived on a big wooden boat to the delight of my children. We also ordered several separate rolls. Sushi breakdown: Sushi & Sashimi for Two - $48.00 gets you a nice assortment of sushi and sashimi on a large wooden boat. For that price I wish they let you keep the boat. Nicely presented but over priced for central PA. Orchid Roll - BEAUTIFULLY presented. Tasted great. BUT, I couldn't believe I paid $15.95 for it. There wasn't a lot to it. Funky Maki - Different. For $5.95 you get fried banana and eel. Not terrible. It was fun to order once but I wouldn't do it again. We ordered one or two other rolls but I can't remember which ones other than to remember they also seemed over priced. So . . . if you like pretty sushi and some different rolls . . . this place is for you. Just bring plenty of money because it's not cheap for what you get.

I've eaten here about 20 times since they opened. I've noticed that it's gradually gone down hill in quality and quantity. I just got my lunch from here and this is the last time I'll ever eat from there again. I had a very hard time finding the shrimp in my favorite roll, the Sakura Roll. it was loaded with rice and tempura and just slapped together. The sauce on my grilled muscles is quite different than any other time I've gotten them from there. I have a feeling that there are some new people working there that don't quite know what they are doing. My Hot Hot Hot Roll was just nasty. Old tasting. LIke it sat for an hour or longer. The worst thing about this lunch is that it just didn't taste fresh. My mouth feels like a grease slick right now. I'm done with the place. It's pretty bad when Wegmans has better sushi than an actual sushi restaurant.

I have tried nearly EVERY Japanese restaurant within a 30 mile radius of Sakura, and no sushi is anywhere NEAR how amazing there's is. No, I'm not trying to build up the experience for you to be disappointed when you arrive, I PROMISE that myself and many friends have made this a regular chomp spot! The service among many other things is spectacular! Please try the All-you-can-eat sushi sun-thurs, it is 100% worth it!!! Spicy salmon and raising sun are out o this world!

Always good. Price is right. Yaki Soba is great, and they will prepare it spicey for you. We are regulars there.

Have only gotten rolls here before. They are a little pricey, but are good size and well-prepared. Big fan of the "Thai Spicy Roll".

My husband and I ate here a couple weeks ago on a Friday night. The service was excellent, very friendly and professional. The food was delicious. We had the mussels and a spicy tuna 'bowl' appetizer, and then about 8 different rolls, I don't remember the names now, but they we all very good, fresh, and beautifully presented. It is BYOB, which is nice, because overall I felt the prices here were a little high. Some of the rolls were in the $13-14 range, most around $10. The atmosphere is really nice, kind of upscale, quiet, dim lighting, the decor definitely doesn't come across as stripmall-y at all. For a once in a while date night or special occasion, this place was great, just a bit pricey, which is why I only gave it 4 stars.

Hands down the best Sushi in Mechanicsburg. I have been looking for a place in Mechanicsburg for years as good as Miyako on 2nd street and this is the place. This is the only place my family and I go now. The lunch specials are great and the prices are very resonable. I recomend this place to anyone. The atmosphere is nice and the service is also good. The all you can eat special is also a very good deal. TRY THIS PLACE!!!

This is my new favorite AYCE sushi bar. They have a neat concept contrary to typical buffets where food sits out all day. Instead, you repeatedly order courses that are made fresh every time. It's a win win situation. You get fresher food, and the restaurant cuts down on losses as they will no longer serve you once you're unable to finish a plate. Another bonus is that the AYCE menu is not exclusive to just sushi. They have a nice variety ranging from soups and salad to things like teriyaki and curry. Everything I tried was good. It's a definite must try for sushi fans! *Just be aware the restaurant is closed in between lunch and dinner (from 2:30 to 4:30)

One of our favorite places to go on "date night", I can have sushi and my husband (who does like sushi) orders something else Friendly staff and quick service, good food fair price, what more do you need?

Although they have a big sign by the door that they accept military ID for 10% off, in reality they do NOT accept it.

I was able to try the AYCE sushi a few times. The first couple visits were good so I kept coming...the last time I went, I brought a friend and her daughter along with my 2 young boys. They ended up charging our kids + $10 for not eating all our food. That's the last time I went. Never again. It's ok maybe the first 2 or 3 visits but the menu gets old

Alright, here's 5 stars. No complaints. I got a "sushi buffet" if that's what you want to call it. Basically you pay for all you can eat from a certain list, make sure you eat it ALL cause they'll charge you if you don't - it's for wasting your food. The server I had was SO kind and friendly! (Which can be unexpected - some of us asians don't have very good manners). Interior Designing is gorgeous. From the outside, it doesn't look like it would be that great. It's such a good place for a date! So men, impress your lady and take them here - make sure you pay though.

A solid choice for good sushi. Fish tastes very fresh and they do run some great specials. For example, 3 roll sushi lunch for $9.99 or the All-You-Can-Eat, which is about $15. Try the Rising Sun Roll! Also love their vegetable tempura and tofu teriyaki. They have boba tea here, which is awesome. If you're still hungry for dessert, the fried cheesecake is amazing. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated... great atmosphere. Service is hit or miss. They can also be slow at times, so don't come here if you're in a hurry.

this is probably the best sushi place I've ever been to. They had so much varieties and the best sushi rolls. I'm vegetarian and the Las Vegas role, which I highly recommend you get if your vegetarian, is absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was amazing and the portions were huge. Many people raved about it and never had the time to go, I regret not finding the time to go. It's great and worth it.

My husband and I were thrilled at discovering this gem shortly after moving to the area. The service was incredibly friendly and the food delicious. My husband is a big sushi fan, while I opt for cooked dishes. He loved his sushi and I was very satisfied with my Hibachi (though I'll probably order it with light sauce next time as it came more drenched than I anticipated). We complemented them on the food, let them know it was our first visit and that we planned to return and they brought us a small dessert complimentary!

Food here is awesome. The service and the speed at which you receive food is terrible. If you have time and plenty of it. Check it out. 2 he minimum. Dec22 @ 5:45

I absolutely LOVE it here. There is such A variety of rolls to choose from. They are always fresh and incredibly delicious. I choose to come here all of the time. The service is great and the food is AMAZING.

I went to this place so many times, most buffet and take out. I have nothing to complain about because they did a good job. Especially shrimp tempura, very crispy and same as I ate at Japan. A staff was very friendly, interior good too. So sad that they took eel rolls out of buffet menu.

My husband and I were shopping in Mechanicsburg and stumbled across Sakua. We checked it out for lunch and had an amazing experience. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The shrimp tempura was delicious as well as the Maryland crab roll. It was excellent! We will definitely be going back!

I was brought here by a co-worker for dinner. When she said "all you can eat sushi", I cringed and pictured sushi sitting under a heat lamp on a buffet for hours at a time. However, that was not what this was. This is order a few plates and they are made fresh. then you can order more! It is BYOB which to me is crazy since that is unheard of in Massachusetts. We picked up a cheap bottle of wine on the way there and the waitress was very nice about opening it and bringing over glasses. We tried a bunch of different kinds of sushi and a few side and the price was ridiculously cheap. It was definitely not the best sushi I've ever had but for the area and also the value, I was very happy and will return the next time I'm in Carlisle.

I loved the idea of the all you can eat option for $15.99. The menu is pretty extensive and it's better than buffet quality sushi. That's what the 2 stars are for. My big problem was service. I sat down and had to wait quite a while for the waitress to come ask what I wanted to drink. I placed my first order and it came out in a reasonable time. I finished it and sat there for about 10 minutes waiting to place my second order. After my second order, I decided I'd just leave rather than deal with the long wait. I also sat without a water refill the entire time. This was my second time there, and the last time was the same service. I won't be coming back. The all you can eat idea sounds great, but what's the point if they never come around?

The entrance was nice when you enter the door....yea. Didn't have a great experience here, aside from being seated and leaving, everything else was meh. Since I usually eat solo, I always choose the bar area (no waiting for a table is a +) in this case it was a sushi bar area not a drink bar, and being the only one there I figured I'd at least get quick service....nope, waited a good 10 minutes before they at least asked what I wanted to drink...Food was no better with regards to wait time. I had the teriyaki salmon and the taste was to generic for my own good. I've had a lot of teriyaki salmon and this was definitely at the bottom of that list. The meal was meh, but afterwords when I paid with cash, the waitress who was oblivious to my existence before the check came asked if I wanted change back for my $20 (total was 14.86). Normally with good service I would have left 20 and split, but due to service I asked for change back...after that she gave me this puzzled look, then took off to the kitchen which I was right next to and started talking in Chinese for a second, then processed my bill. Not sure if she was talking about me or not, but I believe that to be pretty rude (maybe it's just me)... Give it 2-stars because the entrance was neat, and the greater was nice and prompt...better Japanese places in the area for sure.

Food was decent; my first visit on 6/29/13 - 8 people for lunch. I have to admit that i prefer Sapporo East to this place. Please take this review with a grain of "wasabi", cause I am not much of a sushi fan.

Went there for lunch yesterday. Got a lunch special- three rolls for $9.95. Spicy California Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Boston Roll. Honestly I was not impressed with the sushi. The sushi did not seem as fresh as my favorite sushi place on the east shore. It was just okay. The restaurant atmosphere is nice, nice decor, good service. I have just had better sushi. Update: I went here again the other night and took my husband because I wanted to know his opinion. Still a 3/5. They do have a lot of variety, but it seems a bit pricey and the sushi does not seem as fresh as other places.

Had dinner here tonight using a Groupon I had. The sushi was delicious with some rolls I hadn't seen before. I had a spicy roll..lithe black jack, an awesome roll called the PA roll, and the biggest Philly roll I've ever had. Doesn't get a five star because the service was good, but not great. Be sure to get a toothpick on the way out...coolest toothpick dispenser I've ever seen.

We love Sakura, eat here regularly. Always a great experience, great food, great service, friendly staff, reasonable prices, clean. Their all you can eat menu (weekdays) is so much fun. Just order a few things, eat, order some more, we always end with bananas tempora for dessert. Bring your own bottle of wine. We love it!

By far the worst sushi we've had in Harrisburg. We ordered several varieties, staples like California and some specialty rolls. Many of the rolls were drowned in sauces. The California seemed like a fast-food version of sushi, not fresh and light like Cali rolls should be. We also ordered some appetizers, rocky shrimp and shrimp tempura. The rocky shrimp was embalmed in Japanese mayonnaise, to the point of being inedible. The tempura was very heavy, but actually the most palatable selection in the place. The ambience is fairly nice, waitstaff eh, but the food is just not worth it. Pricey to boot.

Good sushi, decent prices, lots of choices. The funky maki roll(banana and eel)is very intriguing and worth a try.

When we want japanese food, we go here. We've tried several other places in Harrisburg but this one is close and the food is fresh. The food is a bit pricey for what you get back that is not specific for this restaurant, probably for japanese food in general. We mostly do takeout but the few times we've eaten there, the ambience was good and service was ok.

I LOVE this place the all you can eat menu had SO much variety for such a low price. It's a little pricey if you don't order on it but the regular menu items are amazing. I'm pretty sure I got Edamame and spicy tofu ten times! Their fried rice is amazing, their sushi is amazing, EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS!

Had the Happy Combo. Quite good. I wasn't a huge fan of the eel roll, but mostly because I usually have it as a hand roll and wasn't used to eating it like this. We had a huge group with us. Most ate sushi, but even our non-sushi eaters enjoyed their meals. The miso soup didn't have the usual tofu pieces I am used to which was a little disappointing, but the ginger dressing on the salad was one of the best I've had.

Best sushi in the area. Trust me, coming from D.C. I h e been dying for great veggie sushi for me and white tail for my hubby. And this place is the tits. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

I had the worst eel roll I've ever had. I would not choose to go back. Miso in Harrisburg is much better.
