Its been a while since we've been there and with young kids we don't eat out too much. This trip reminded me why. The value for the food was not there, incredibly small portions for the money. Find a nice restaurant and get more for the money, perhaps the days of the chains are nearing an end? The calamari sucked. Way too much salt and overcooked. The server did take them off of the bill, although the communication was difficult. I sort of commented early on by asking if they are supposed to be really salty. She didn't say she would take them off the bill then, it was not until the end, but she did offer so that was a good thing, but generally the service could have been better. I think she was tired, maybe near the end of her shift? The steak for those in my party - Wrong temperature! When I did eat steak, that was why I stopped going to Outback in the first place. The blommin onion is still decent so that was good. The vegetables with my salmon were good, but even the second bread order had some issues so it is hard to be at more than 2 stars for the trip. I will say the store looks really nice (it had been a while since I visited).

Very good experience. Had not been here in many years. The wait at 6:30 on a Saturday evening was not long (15 mins). The hostesses were friendly. We sat at the bar until our table was ready and the bar staff was attentive. After we were seated our waitress appeared quickly and our service was prompt and courteous. Our food came out prepared exactly as we had ordered, hot, and good size portions. Our waitress checked on us several times throughout the meal. Our steaks were perfectly prepared and our vegetables were crispy and tasty. All in all, a very good experience. We will return.

Been here a couple of times. Never had a bad experience, but nothing stands out either. The food is good and service was always friendly. Watch for promotions, at times they offer really good deals.

I am a fairly constant traveler to this area and now that I've given this establishment three tries, each successively worse than the last, I just wanted to share why this place rates a 1 star. On my last (and I mean very last) visit, sat at the bar with a friend, and besides the laziest bar service ever, ordered a filet rare and received a sirloin well done. Given that steakhouse is in your name, you'd think they could get that part right. This is the McDonald's of steak joints, and I was okay with that, but seriously, y'all need to step it up a level or six. Be like Avis and try harder. Plenty of other fine places to catch a meal near you, so best of luck.

outback in mechanicsburg, the ambiance has come a long way but the restaurant has not improved in food presentation over the years The caesar salad is the same ingredients as it should be, in a competing market of eclectoc steak restaurants, Outback should be setting the bar not lagging behind. shrimp on a barbie looks like a 4 piece of baby shrimp on a skewer while other place use 2 king size shrimp amps up the presentation that is worth spending money on. the service staff should be intensified not just robotic. i want t eat at a place that their servers are excited about working at. not just let me look in the menu for you. every menu item should be a microsecond to them. the ribeye could be presented than being slapped on a white plate. there is no place for sacrificing quality over quantity. Customers will wait for s well prepared, well presented meal than a piece of meat slapped on a plate. also a first that the marbling (fat) was so much that it caused yelper to do gordon ramsay dash to the restroom to resolve the issue

From the greeting at the door tonight was clearly going to be a great meal. The servers were on their game, the drinks never got below half way before refilled... Super friendly experience.... The food was exceptional and when I went to use the men's room to wash up before and after my meal I couldn't help note how clean the bathroom was. Two thumbs up!!!

Went to this Outback on a Monday and were seated at 4:20PM. The restaurant was not at all busy. 1. The booth table was not centered. One side was so tight and the other side had plenty of room. 2. Our food arrived at the table at 5:30PM. 3. My side order was wrong. My husband's order was completely another meal. 4. My husband's order came back to the table with a wrong side. Had to reorder the correct side. 5. The check was correct 3 times. 6. We left the restaurant at 6:10PM and do not plan on going back there ever again.

15% Military Discount and the service is exceptional. The food was spectacular and the wait was only 5 minutes during prime dinner time. I would recommend this place!

Myself my brother and my parents went there tonight for my bday dinner. We waited two hours to be seated. So while we were waiting we went to the bar, the girl was a total b!tch. She kept ignoring us. And was playing with her every 10 minutes. When we finally got seated it took a while for our waitress. She was nice though. We couldn't wait to get the heck outta there. Three hours later. Never again will I goto that Outback. And if you go there hopefully you don't have the b!tchy rude bartender.

This was just a really bad experience. Finally visited my hometown after four years. We go here on a Sunday night (I'm with around 8 people including a few kids and it is 730 PM). The restaurant is dead, just us and one older couple. The order is taken, food comes, then a worker in the back with this voice that just carries is saying, F$%K this and F45K that, on and on. He wasn't mad, but just casually slinging it around. I'm getting pissed. I curse like a sailor, I even was a sailor, but I know when to turn it off. At a restaurant where there are kids is not cool. Not a single waitress or anyone told this dude to tone it down. Singing "187 on a mother fu$%ing cop"...187 is murder. I don't condone the murdering of cops. I get it, its a Sublime song but still. Probably yelled F4ck about 30 times, the food was terrible, and the best part about that experience was leaving. Another side note, if people order food and it looks like they barely touched it, maybe ask, "Was there something wrong with your food?" Odds are probably yes.

Well we had never been to an Outback before and had the opportunity today. Quite frankly we wish we hadn't. Upon arrival we found the restaurant to be fairly typical of any national chain. There was almost nobody here, guess that should have been a sign. The staff was very nice, but that's where my good comments end. The menu was very limited as options and combinations. It was also very overpriced. I can say this because I ordered the chicken and ribs. They came to the table served on the bread plate. I finished my entire meal in under four minutes. $17 for a meal this tiny is laughable. Now I could have swapped out my small salad for fries. First and last visit to a Outback.

My husband and I generally don't eat at chain restaurants BUT our experience last week was more than expected. Innovative cocktails to start. Fresh, warm bread before main course. My steak just a little over done (it's not often places seem to get true temps anymore :-((( ))) the pleasant surprise were my husbands ribs! Incredibly meaty, perfectly grilled with a very tasty BBQ sauce. Very attentive service. All in all a very pleasant experience.

We love this particular Outback Steakhouse. The service is exceptional every time (maybe because we frequent this restaurant!). We like to try the seasonal specials, and the current ones are excellent, particularly the lobster tacos, buffalo chicken dip, and portabella mushrooms. Husband had his regular chicken breast and ribs. Son enjoyed twin grilled lobster tails; he sometimes gets them steamed but the grilled are better since they are not as "gummy" as the steamed. I love the cocktails at Outback, and my current favorite is the huckleberry hooch moonshine drink, chock full of berries. The buffalo chicken dip comes with homemade potato chips; the dip is tasty and spicy, but not overly spicy. The lobster tacos have cole slaw, a nice combination. Recommend you add the application Outback 365 on your smartphone so you can check out the daily special. It's not always a great deal, but sometimes it is the case of you having to say something to the waiter in order to get a blooming onion appetizer. Or, the daily special may be $5 off two entrees. In any case, savings are worthwhile if they are offering something that strikes your fancy. Sometimes the 365 app specials are limited, e.g. only for lunch purchases. I've been to a lot of Outback Steakhouse restaurants throughout the United States, and I am proud to say that the Mechanicsburg one is top notch!

My husband and I had not been to Outback for several years and went because of a giftcard we had received as a gift...looking back we wish we would've used it at one of the sister restaurants in the area (Carraba's or Bonefish Grille). We ordered their signature appetizer, the blooming onion, and were served a soggy, yet somehow burnt mess of onions. I ordered the double lobster tail dinner and my husband got a steak dinner. My lobster tails and the side of rice were both cold and his 'medium rare' steak was like purple jello on the inside. We would have had the items recooked/reheated if our server would have stopped by to ask how our meals were...but that never happened. In addition, maybe I noticed this because I have served for several years, the server would refill our waters out of a pitcher w/o lifting our glasses off the table or away from us. The result was water that would splash onto the table and anything else surrounding us. Needless to say, we will never be back and will instead choose one of the sister restaurants if we would happen to be gifted a giftcard again!
