Best Breakfast Diner in Macungie! Black Diamond Steaks, PA scrapple, farm fresh eggs, fresh baked breads, bottomless pot of wake-up coffee! Great family atmosphere. No Starbuck's in sight!! PRICELESS!

My friends and I stopped here on our way to Lancaster County and were pleased by the food and service. Loved the pioneer style chairs with blue leather upholstery. We ordered a BLT club, veggie omelet and an unexpected (and delicious) bacon cheeseburger club! So good! Dessert was extraordinary, with a yummy tapioca pudding and an amazing nectarine pie--all homemade--which was almost like bread pudding. Fresh iced tea and good coffee rounded the experience!

$5.50 Big plate of Biscuts and Gravy with home fries and a cup of coffee. Waitress called me Hun, there were cranky old guys discussing politics at the counter. Exactly what you would expect from a diner. Good hearty food for not a lot of cash.

First timer here, not that great a breakfast: toast was whimmpy, more like warm bread. Home fries were undercooked too. But, its a diner, so I got what I paid for I guess.

Saw all the reviews and laughed. It's a Diner. You get what a diner serves. Had breakfast. The omelet was cooked right and great hash browns. Sitting down a cup of coffee was placed in front of me. That is perfect. However the first was weak but rest perfect. Price is diner like. If you want a diner then go. Yes it needs updating

Been here a few times. Very cheap and for the price not bad but the food is really hot or miss. My son ordered a hotdog and the bun was rock hard, then after making the waitress aware, I was handed a bun hot on the outside and frozen on the inside. Bottom line, cheap food for a cheap price.

I'm not sure what all these one star reviewers are jiving about. Every time I go to Macungie to visit my mom I stop in for breakfast at the Bear Swamp Diner. The food is great! Portions are large, prices are low, and the staff is helpful, but clearly overworked and busy. Yes, seating is very limited, and you may have to wait for a seat if you really want to eat here. Yes, even when seated you feel like everyone is on top of each other, but it's a diner, and diners are known for being cramped, tight spaces. It's how they keep their overhead and prices down. Yes, the service can be slow, but you have three to four (elderly) women who do the best they can to keep the customers happy. And, yes, the food can be a little "greasy", but again, it's a diner. They didn't coin the term "Greasy Spoon" for nothing. The bottom line is if you're a fan of good old fashioned griddle cooking where they're not scared to use massive amounts of butter to cook a great artery clogging breakfast, than give this place a try. The food is great tasting, and served up in plentiful portions. If greasy diner food isn't your thing, then why are you going to a diner to begin with?

O.K. diner food. Pretty good place to go for average fare. Some of the booth seats are a bit too old. You might find your seat is a bit on the lumpy side. This is a good place for the standard breakfast fare at a standard price.

Yikes! Welcome to the Lehigh Valley folks! The land of poor diners! I've tried this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is no good time to go. The breakfast is standard breakfast food. What was bad was the coffee! It was watered down and tasteless. No doubt, the senior clients enjoy coffee this way. I wanted to go home and drink my own coffee. Lunch and Dinner foods were just bland, not offensive (like I've found at some other local diners), just bland.

Been there several time, only because it is open early and convenient. The food is not very good.

Located on Main Street (Route 100), this is basic diner food. The service is good. Considering the owners are Greek, their baklava is a bit too soggy for me. My favorite item is their homemade coconut custard pie, but sadly they do not serve it year round. Lots of locals eat here from time to time, so you might hear tidbits of local gossip. The place could use an overhaul, as most of the booth seats are worn out.

The only diner that I know of in Macungie. I've been there for breakfast and wasn't impressed. Eggs were cold and covered in scrapple grease. For that matter, everything tasted like scrapple...probably not a bad thing if you are one of the few who like scrapple, but I wasn't impressed. The waitress was nice enough.

Been twice (just to make sure I didn't catch it on a bad day), and the food it just plain bad...I would certainly not go back!

I've eaten at this diner quite a few times. It is most definately a "greasy spoon" but I found the grand slam type breakfast to be pretty good. It doesn't hurt that the staff is friendly and the portions are big.
